Moulana Waseem Hendricks is a distinguished Islamic scholar from Cape Town, South Africa, recognized for his deep scholarship and leadership within the Muslim community. He is a graduate of Dār al-‘Ulūm al-‘Arabiyyah al-Islamiyyah in Strand, where he studied under the esteemed late Mufti Muhammad Tāhaa Karaan, who was the Mufti of the Muslim Judicial Council. This institution is known for producing scholars with a strong foundation in Islamic jurisprudence and a commitment to serving the community.

Moulana Waseem Hendricks currently serves as the Imām and principal of Masjid al-Tūbā in Panorama, Cape Town. In this role, he leads the congregation in prayer, delivers sermons, and provides religious guidance to the community. His responsibilities also include overseeing the mosque’s educational activities and ensuring that it remains a hub of Islamic learning and community service.
