Dr. Walead Mohammed Mosaad is a prominent Islamic scholar and educator, recognized internationally for his contributions to Islamic studies and human development. He holds degrees from Rutgers University and Fath Islamic Seminary in Damascus, and completed his PhD in Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter. He also received classical training at Al-Azhar University.

Dr. Mosaad has studied under several esteemed scholars including Shaykh Ahmad Taha Rayyan and Shaykh Ali Gomaa. His academic pursuits are complemented by his extensive work in community development, having managed educational projects in various countries through his association with the Tabah Foundation.

Currently, Dr. Mosaad serves as the Chair and Scholar-in-Residence at Sabeel Community. He is also involved in academic roles at institutions like Lehigh University, where he oversees Muslim Student Life. His lectures often explore topics such as spirituality, ethics, and intercultural peace building, reflecting his deep commitment to fostering understanding across diverse communities.

His work includes participation in the “Traveling Light Series” on Imam al-Ghazali and he advises on the Fons Vitae Ghazali children’s series of books, further highlighting his dedication to Islamic education and the spread of knowledge across different mediums and age groups
