Tahir Anwar was born in London, UK, and later moved to the United States. He pursued his Islamic education by studying under renowned scholars at Darul Uloom al-Madania in Buffalo, New York, where he completed his formal education in Islamic studies. Darul Uloom al-Madania is recognized for its emphasis on traditional Islamic sciences, and it was here that Tahir Anwar honed his expertise in Fiqh, Hadith, and Tafsir.

After completing his studies, Tahir Anwar took on a leadership role as an Imam at the South Bay Islamic Association (SBIA) in San Jose, California. He is one of the founding members of the Muslim Community Association’s Social Services and Health Clinic in Santa Clara, California. He also serves as an instructor for Islamic educational programs, including the annual Hajj pilgrimage group, where he guides Muslims through the rites of Hajj.
