Imam Suhaib Webb, born William Webb, is a prominent American Muslim scholar and educator. He was born in Oklahoma and embraced Islam in 1992. Prior to his conversion, he was a hip-hop DJ and music producer. After embracing Islam, Imam Suhaib Webb pursued religious studies in various countries. He graduated from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, where he specialized in Islamic law.
He has served as an imam and religious leader in several communities across the United States, including Boston, where he was the imam of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC). He is known for his efforts in youth engagement, interfaith dialogue, and addressing contemporary issues facing the Muslim community.
He is the founder of the Suhaib Webb Institute of Sacred Sciences (SWISS), an online learning platform dedicated to providing accessible Islamic education.
