Asif Hirani – Ayah of the Night Ramadan Day 2

This is one important eye which I want

to share today from Surat Al Baqarah,

2nd Jews. In the beginning of 2nd Jews,

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says

okazalika ja'alnaqum ummatam wasotta. This is a very

famous ayah.

In the complete context of this ayah, Allah

says, you are the middle nation

and middle nation in the context of this

ayah means that we are taking the message

from the prophets

and giving it to the humanity.

This is how we are being called as

a middle nation by Allah

It means that whenever we receive any message

from the prophet, we don't mix it from

the intellectual trends or predominant philosophies. We're going

to give that message as it is to

the people, convey the message of Allah which

we received from prophet as it is to

the people.

This ayah is extremely important, my brothers and

sisters. In our current society,

we are either inclined towards the left extreme

or the right extreme.

And this eye is reminding us that we

are the people. We are the moderate nation.

We should stay in the middle. That how

that's how we should be. We should never

respond to one extreme from the other extreme.

You should never be reactionary. You should never

respond to 1 Jahiliya with the other Jahiliya.

I ask Allah

to give us all the guidance towards the

straight path. And that's what we are asking

in every raka'a.
