Allah's name, alatif is generally translated as the

subtle but it's so much more than that.

These names are all beyond a one word

translation. Alatif is the one who has intricate

knowledge of benefits and how to manipulate them

to whoever he wishes for his creation. And

number 2 is incredible knowledge, compassion, and care.

And so, alatif is the one who knows

how to bring Yousef alaihis salaam to be

the treasure of Egypt. And along the way,

he makes him in a well and then

he puts him in slavery and then he

puts him in prison. And you're looking at

the story and you're like this is going

from bad to worse. But yet throughout the

entire story Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is maneuvering

yousaf alaihis salam for his eventual destiny and

that's why in the culmination of the story

yousaf alaihis salam says

my lord is latif and so this name

inspires incredible confidence in the plan of Allah

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Even as I'm going through

the prison of my own story, even as

I'm going through the slavery of my own

story, even as I'm going through the betrayal

of my own story, I recognize inlalabi Latif
