Muhammad. Today,
I would like to discuss
a matter
that is of grave importance.
It is of severe importance
to the well-being
and the salvation of the believers,
preferably the youngs the young the young amongst
us,
who find themselves in great debate
in regards
to the prohibition
of music and Islam,
and not just the music itself, but the
culture and everything that follows.
Me, myself, I've experienced
over a decade
in the music business,
and I have encountered things from a personal,

that later
accepting Islam
enabled me to identify
with the evils
and all of the things
that contradicts
the religion of Islam
and those who ascribe themselves
to the belief in Allah
and the sunnah of his messenger,
Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
And many of the youth, they find themselves
struggling
with their desire
and their inclination to music
and their lifestyle and their culture and everything
that conforms with it.
May Allah subhijal
protect us
from this.
I mean,
everything that I've derived
for this talk today,
and I asked Allah
to purify my intentions.
Because my intentions is only to enjoying that
which is good and forbid that which is
evil, which is the obligation
upon the believer
to enjoying that which is good and forbid
that which is evil.
And what I compile
are proofs and evidences
from the book of Allah
and the sunnah of Muhammad
and the companions and those who followed them
in totality and righteousness
and in faith.
So insha'Allah
insha'Allah,
I pray
Allah open our hearts
and allow our hearts
to embrace that which is true.
And may Allah
turn our hearts to obedience to him in
this matter
and aid us and assist us in abstaining
from that which he forbid
for the embeddedment of our souls
and for
our final abode,
which insha'allah
we pray
is
gender.
So with no further delay,
let's begin
this matter
of establishing the evils of most of music
and the evils of the culture and everything
that follows.
Follows.
Call Allah
in his glorious book.
He says and of mankind is he who
purchases
idol
taught
Lahu al Hadith
to mislead from the path of Allah without
knowledge
and takes it by way of mockery
for such there will be a humiliating torment.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala he establishes in his
Ayat
clearly for those who have sound intellect and
pure hearts.
He establishes the prohibition
of those who purchase idle talk
and we will clarify from the understanding
of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and his
companions
with this Lahu al Hadith,
what it entails
in regards to misleading from the path of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
without knowledge
and he takes it by way of mockery
For such, there will be a humiliating torment
in the fire of.
So Allah, he connects this.
He mentions of the doom.
Those who turn away from the Quran
and do not benefit from hearing the words
of Allah
instead they turn to listening to flutes and
singing accompanied by musical instruments
as ibn Mas'ud
commented about the ayat

And the more
misguided he is the more he likes it.
And the more he prefers falsehood to the
truth and harmful things
over beneficial things.
And many of us, if we're truthful with
ourselves and we struggle with this matter,
we get contested as statement
as being absolutely true.
And it was said
that what is meant by the words,

These songs call to everything
that opposes a lot in his messenger.
And to mislead men from the path means
he does this to oppose Islam and his
followers.

And he takes it by way of mockery.

of Allah and making fun of it

from the consensus of scholars that mockery is
one of the nullifiers of Islam,

So if we do not understand or comprehend
the severity

may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala guide us and
rectify our affairs

of Nicki Minaj.
She's in the song saying, Masha'Allah,
Alhamdulillah.
Meanwhile, she's
extremely close to being naked,
gyrating and things of the likes
while mentioning statements for her mouth
that are clear statements of Ibada.
Though she's not Muslim,
her intentions
may not be intentionally
or jokingly. She may believe that she's doing
something to actually pay Hamrech
or show some level of respect to Islam,
but for the Muslims who engage in this,
meaning you're rapping behind her
These are act act these are statements of
and these statements have a place.
They have a respectful place
because we know that Ibadah is for Allah
and Allah alone.
So how does one think
that because some false sense of hamraj is

This form of mockery coming from those who

then we know that the statement of Allah

to anything that would make music
even remotely permissible.
Ibn Abi Shaiba,
Rahim O Allah, he reported from Abdul Law,
that when asked about interpretation
of the verse

long discussions about things that oppose Allah
his commands, his prohibitions, his rewards, his punishment.
And this is something that is also prevalent
amongst the youth.
Finding pleasure and talks
that in no way, shape, or form
have any benefit or any virtue.

Allah protect us from this.

nurtured and cultivated upon Tawhid.
But many of you have allowed your curiosity
and your lowly desires
to take you away from the security that's
been provided from you, that's been provided for
you
since the very day you were born.
This understanding that you had
was made clear to you from the very
moment you can talk,
from the very moment you can copy comprehend,
from the very moment you were able to
implement.
And many of you have allowed your curiosity
and your lowly desires to chase something that
is contrary to what you were nurtured
and cultivated about.
So as the law,
to turn our hearts back to that which
is correct,
guide us and rectify our affairs and make
us from those
who affirm upon
obedience to Allah,
and make us firm in abstaining from that
which he forbid.

And share with them wealth and children.
And they said this means what he commands
them to do of spending money in disobedience
to Allah.

It was reported in Sahih Muslim by Iyad

ibn Himar that the prophet
said,
Allah, the mighty and the ezolders, said, I
have created my service as
as monotheists.

come to them and lead them astray from
their religion,
and tell that what I have permitted for
them is forbidden to them.
Allah says,
I have created my servants as monotheists,
meaning those who are upon tawhid,
those who are upon the understanding
that Allah and Allah alone had the right
to be worshiped

good,
and the reward and the benefit and the
virtue that comes from those things.
The shaytan and the shaytan, the shayateen, they're
like, no. That's not
this is what's up.

Now may Allah make us better. You hear

they try to call those who strive upon
righteousness,
strive in obedience to Allah

and hastening to that which Allah has committed.
When they see these evils
and those who are misguided and those who
are led astray, they walk past them with
dignity.
Not even having a drop of inclination
to that which they are participating in,
and they get the most scrutiny.
They're called excessive. They're called extreme. They're called
all sorts of things.
Yeah. I hear you too harsh. You too
firm. You too many of these things.
But all this individual was doing is safeguarding
himself,
protecting the honor
that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given him,
standing firm with dignity
upon the truth
and righteousness
and all that it entails,
and they're the ones who face
with the most scrutiny.
These are further attributes to the servants of
the most gracious.
They do not bear witness to falsehood,
including lies, immorality,
disbelief,
foul speech, and false words.
Listen to the attributes of this individual
that when he sees a evil talk or
evil play, he passed by with dignity.
They do not bear witness to falsehood,

This is where this individual finds solace
amongst the people who feel Allah, the people
that believe Allah,
they believe in his messenger.
They believe in the last day. They believe
in everything that Allah

in accordance to obedience to him
and the reward that follows.
So this individual, he wants the reward of
Allah. He wants the favor. He want the
bounties of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. So when
he sees the evil play or evil talk,
he walks past it with dignity.
He does not attend falsehood, or he does
not attend where falsehood occurs.
And if it so happens that they pass
by it,
they do not let it contaminate them in
the slightest. They do not let it contaminate
them,
Meaning, they're willing to displease the people
at the expense of Allah's happiness
or Allah's joy or Allah's acceptance.
Not the other way around,
You have people today
who will
for the sake of the people's pleasure,
they will earn a lot's anger.
They seek to please the people at the
expense of a lot's anger,
But the one that sees evil and see
evil play and evil talk and pass by
it with dignity, he's the other way around.
He seeks the law's pleasure at the expense
of the people's anger,
and he does not let it contaminate him
in the slightest.
He said music does the
music,
it does
the He is saying that music makes prominent.
He makes

meaning this is the Hadith from the prophet
and he said that near the day of
judgment, the zina in music would be popular.

that arouse
and intensify
the emotion
or the yearning or the lust or the
desire,
which entails
only motivates
the individual to commit the sin.
And in most cases, and no one knows
best, it's by your own doing. It's by
the individual's own doing. He makes these choices
so that they can form and collaborate with
the emotion.
So he chooses a suitable sound or suitable,
a a a song,
record,
CD, whatever the likes
so that it becomes compatible
to what is about to occur.
Even when you look
at rock and roll,
These individuals, they
even got to the point where they were
just straight up devil worshipers.
Their music drove them to the point where
they attributed
everything to the shaitan.
And their music and their lifestyle and their
culture and their dress and everything
was satanic.

This is clarification
of what stems from it.
So out of Allah's mercy
and Allah's desire to want good for his
service, and the prophet sallallahu alaihi was telling
desire to want good
for the people,
for the believers,
and the people in general.
He conveyed these
things so you would be warned
of the consequences that come with
indulging in things
that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala forbid.
Anas
ibn Malik Rahimullah he reported
Radiallahu, and he reported that the prophet sallallahu
alaihi
wasalam said, when my nation adopts 5 practices,
their destruction is inevitable.
I want y'all to pay attention to this.
An incident Malik,
and
he reported that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu
alaihi wa aalehi wasallam
said when my nation adopts
5 practices,
5 practices,
their destruction is inevitable.
What are these practices?
He said when they curse each other openly,
they wear silk,
they take up musical instruments,
they drink wine,
and men are satisfied with men, and women
are satisfied with women.
For the one who feels Allah when he
hears this, it should make the heart
to somersaults.
Knowing that it becomes abundantly clear that the
time we're living in
that the people have adopted these five practices.
The prophet
he mentioned this
over 1400 years ago
And no
sane person
can walk out their door
and assess their surroundings
and not comply with the fact
that these five practices
are not only being practiced, but they're being
practiced abundantly.
He said when my nation adopts 5 practices,
their destruction is inevitable.
Meaning, they're on a path for gradual destruction.
When they curse each other out openly,
they wear silk, meaning men wear silk,
they take up musical instruments,
They drink wine, and men are satisfied with
men, and women are satisfied with women.

I remember back in the nineties, I used
to go to this club called The Tunnel
in New York City.
It was one of the most revered clubs
every Sunday. You had to be there.
Like, you were not relevant
if you were not in the tunnel
every Sunday.
And the thing that was most significant about
the club was not just the abundance of
gathering and congregating
for the sake of entertaining our desires.
The thing that stood out the most was
the unisex bathrooms.
The bathrooms were unisex,
and anyone that attended this club in the
nineties can contest that what I'm about to
say is so
true.
Extremely horrific acts
that I know now.
Back then, it was normal.
Subhan Allah. How many left?
But back then, it was normal
to see the things that took place in
the unisex path.
Meaning you could literally be in a stall
next to a woman.
Literally, you can see a man and a
woman in the stall engaging in *.
Literally, you can see women who are extremely
intoxicated
and incapacitated
being taken advantage by several men.
Men being set up and robbed.
This particular area of the club was the
highlight for evil.
You had those who laid in a cut
waiting for a person to get to that
intoxicated
point where he needed to relieve himself,
and they will follow him into the bathroom,
and they were robbed.
But they waited for the woman who threw
up
or got to the point
where she may have drank too much
or even some of these individuals would drug
them
and wait for the reaction so they can
follow them and take advantage of them.
Even leaving the club,
you will see women staggering with strangers
men don't even know.
They lost contact with their friends.
They came
5, 6 girls together. Now she is somewhere
getting dragged into a car
by a complete stranger
to either be raped
or may not never be seen again.
And I say this to say the thing
that united these people was the music,
whether we wanna accept it or not.
People don't gather into these spaces
for a acapella moment.
Thousands of people under one roof just to
be
talking,
looking around, whatever the case may be.
The thing that motivated us and intrigued us
was whoever was DJing that night,
whoever was spinning the records.
Because if he's a good DJ, that mean
that his selection of music
was extremely relevant
to the release and escape that we were
seeking by coming to these places
and congregating amongst one another.
But it also opened the doors for all
other
evil opportunities
and evil opportunists.
So I say to the youth,
we're all
consideration
and care.
For those of you
who are young,
Muslims,
who ascribe yourself to belief.
As Muslims, Allah
has given us more than enough.
More than enough to find happiness in this
life
with the hopes of dying upon obedience,
dying upon the understanding of tawheed,
dying upon
the methodology
of the pious predecessors of the prophet sallallahu
alaihi was salam and dying upon that
so that by Allah's mercy, we can enter
his paradise.
This is our goal.
Our goal is not to chase the hellfire
along those who are misguided.
For anything. We are supposed to be the
best of the people for the people.
We're supposed to be the ones who are
calling
those who are ignorant
of these consequences
to that which is correct and that which
is better.
As I mentioned in the beginning, we have
the obligation to enjoy what's good and forbid
what's evil.
So I ask Allah
to continue to protect us and bestow his
mercy and favor upon us. I ask the
law
to soften our hearts
so that we're able to digest and process
that which is better for us and better
for the betterment of our souls.
I ask the law
to increase us in knowledge that has been
efficient
so that we can navigate
through all of the pitfalls and ills that
we face
in the society that we live in.
I ask
Allah to open our hearts to sound advice,
sincere advice,
and do not rebel and reject.
I ask Allah to make us from those
who when they see a evil, they walk
past it with dignity.
Continue to preserve
and protect
those who Allah has favored with knowledge.
So when we do decide
to return back, it was correct,
that the early man of Islam and the
scholars of the sunnah
are still there to aid and assist us
in our ignorance.
