Ali Hammuda – The work for Palestine has just begun – Waqforever update

It has been just around eight months or

so since we launched one of our first

projects of Waqf Forever, the Waqf for Palestine,

a project of permanent and sustainable benefit for

the cause of Palestine.

The project of course was initiated due to

the critical situation that is unfolding on the

ground there in Gaza.

You have seen the horrific situations only ever

worsening, displacing most of the population of Gaza

as we speak and certainly putting them all

at an immediate risk of death.

So we set ourselves an ambitious goal to

empower the people of Gaza and also to

push the cause of Palestine to center stage

to make it a matter of global concern.

By the grace of Allah, the response has

been overwhelming to say the very least.

Alhamdulillah we've had social media personalities and respected

scholars from many parts of the Muslim world

promoting the cause.

Our team has visited various localities up and

down the country, held events in the UK

to raise money for the Waqf and we've

had people at their own family capacity, communal

capacity, masjid capacity, coming together taking initiatives and

pushing these towards our Waqf.

And Alhamdulillah as a result in the 8

months or so we have raised almost 1

.4 million pounds Alhamdulillah and we haven't been

sitting idly waiting to hit our target of

2 million.

With these funds our team has been busy

laying the foundations for the Waqf.

With the support and the guidance from our

investment committee we have fully purchased four properties

in London, transferred their ownership to the Waqf

and all of them have now been fully

repaired, relevated, brought up to scratch, rented out

and now they are generating a regular income

Alhamdulillah.

These four properties will generate a total of

120,000 pounds in annual revenue and all

of this and we're just over the halfway

mark of reaching the target 2 million pounds.

Now if we do reach this we will

be able to purchase a total of eight

properties generating nearly a quarter of a million

pounds in annual revenue for many years to

come we hope Inshallah.

Now we've also met with several registered UK

charity partners on who will be the distributor

on the ground on behalf of yourselves, on

behalf of the Waqf and we're pleased to

say Alhamdulillah that we've agreed on a charity

partner for this very urgent and noble endeavour

and Inshallah we're going to announce it very

soon to yourselves as per who they are

and what we intend to do specifically.

Finally 100% of the author's profits from

the books Married Ever After and Life with

the Divine they will go towards the Waqf

in order to help you to achieve two

goals when you purchase these books.

The first your own Islamic growth and nearness

to through learning and number two to effectively

and sustainably do something for the cause of

Palestine after the help of Allah subhanahu wa

ta'ala none of this would be possible
