Now, when we say that Allah azza wa jal smiles we mean that Allah smiles but doesn't mean that Allah azza wa jal has a mouth like ours and teeth like ours. Know, though how does he smile?
Allah knows, but it's called a smile. And when people see it will recognize it as a smile. But it does not mean that he has a face like ours or teeth like ours. So you do not need to imagine that what do we get from it? You get that? You understand Allah azza wa jal better if you know that Allah azza wa jal smiles,
because what is his smile signify?
Pleasure and acceptance and kindness, isn't it? Like in humanity, and there are parallels that Allah made you understand him also through things that you see? Not like look like him? But things that make sense that if you see a human being who smiles at you, what do you feel comforted close to him? That he's kind he's merciful, right?
And that's how the Sahaba understood it. In other Hadith,
the Prophet sallallahu wasallam described he was talking about Allah azza wa jal, and then he said that he smiled, and Arabi a Bedouin,

Allah smiles. He says yes, this I know Allah better now, because of Allah smiles, the good things that come to us will never stop from a God that smiles. Because if you're a king and again, these these examples, probably a lot and make us understand better. A king who has all power earthly king doesn't have to smile dizzy.
He can be the meanest King, right? He doesn't fear you, he doesn't want anything from you. But if he smiles at you, and brings you closer and listen to you, what does that mean? He likes you and He loves you. And He listens to you and He will fulfill what you want. Because not because he needs to do this, because he loves to do that. Right? Because you're just nothing to him. So to Allah azza wa jal would like, most close to nothing. But he smiles at you. Means he loves you. Right? So we're not making this up, right? That's there in the Sunnah, right? So Allah azza wa jal likes you and Allah loves you, and Allah wants the best for you. Why does he smile? And imagine when you see that smile?
Like SubhanAllah? Sometimes we could have a terrible day but somebody smiles at you and what happens? Just the dress of the day brightens just because somebody smile. Imagine seeing Allah smila to Subhan Allah that means that it's your set. Hala, is it is it because he smiled at him? Where did he go, Jana? See, you want that smile from Allah azza wa jal. So yes, you will see, as Allah as everybody sees it,
Allah will smile. And it's an attribute that we believe and it's true, and that person will enter Jannah. And the last thing Shala will say is that a person might wonder not that there is need to wonder or ask this question, why does this person have to go through all of this? Right? I mean, so he gets out, and it's a process and there is this? Why does he have to go through not why then why not? As soon as he gets out? Allah tells him go to Jana. Right? Now, there is no answer to this, right? The hadith doesn't tell us but there are things that we know about Allah azza wa jal that could explain this which is first of all that Allah is just
right. We know that there are people as we just mentioned, will enter Jannah without any delay, right? So Allah Allah doesn't want to hold anybody back right. If your deeds and Allah's mercy coupled with Allah's Mercy carry you, okay, directly to Jana, nothing is gonna stop you. So if Allah is just and he is something must have stopped this man from getting all the way to Jannah things that he have done in the dunya maybe he made promises and he brought a broke them, Allah Allah, we don't know. Maybe he stopped people in righteousness, we don't know. But the things that are that process that he's going through is important for two reasons. All please, one for him and one for
us, for him to learn, and to see because that's part of his education. Right? You know, they say, Why do the believers have to go into hellfire is to get purified. Why do they need to be purified in hellfire because we've failed, or they fail to purify ourselves here.
So if you don't clean yourself here, you still need to be cleaned. Where is this going to happen?
To think of it as education, summer school, after hours, whatever, right? If you don't learn, you still need to spend time to learn. Otherwise, you're not ready to enter into Janna. So that person may have been learning,
learning what not to do or what to do, or paying for something that he had done in the dunya by what he is doing here. Right. So that's one. The other one that we learned from all of that is something for us right here. Our impatience, right, how dissatisfied we become with things that we own. As soon as long as I get this, what is it? I'll be happy. And then you get it and what happens? I'm not happy anymore. So I constantly happens. As soon as I get married, I'll be happy. As soon as I get kids, I'll be happy. As soon as I get promoted, I'll be happy. But none of the dunya will make you happy, right? Until you enter what what is the only thing that is going to make you happy, Jana,
that is it. Before that nothing will be satisfying. So if you approach the dunya thinking that that will be completely satisfying. It will hurt you.
It will really hurt you. I mean, if I marry that person, I'll be happy.
You've doomed yourself to be sad if you place all of your happiness on that person.
Because can can one person make you happy? All the time.
They have to upset you, they have to disappoint you because they're human beings, right? If I have a son or a daughter, I'll be happy. Could they be everything you want? Impossible?
The way am I gonna find this happiness, if I keep looking for it, looking for it looking for it, and I don't find it Alhamdulillah I find a lot of beautiful things in the dunya. But that happiness that fills my heart completely.

and you're looking for that good meal, and you go bounce from one restaurant to the other. And you keep eating, but none of them is good enough. had that experience.

In the face of every bit that we see only give me this one thing that will make me happy. But don't think that you will find it with any created thing or being it can't.
