			decreed that they come, they can come to this book of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And they can take
from it that which they need, and that is the beauty and the miracle of the Quran. And often for
Unfortunately, many of us the Quran has now become only a source of solace in times of need. When we
have problems when we have issues with our family issues with money, issue with our jobs, our
businesses and so on. Then we turn back to Allah and we make dua to Allah and return back to the
Quran. For in times of happiness in times of joy, in times of ease and pleasure. Many people they
neglect Allah subhanho wa Taala they neglect the Quran, they neglect the son of the Prophet
		

			sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and it's only in times of need when they're reminded of Allah subhanho
wa Taala and Allah azza wa jal in the Quran, he rebuked the Muslim dean of Quraysh for this very
reason, that when they were on land, and in safety, they would worship other than Allah. But when
they were unseen, and the ocean would play around with their ship and their vessel, they would
return to Allah and Allah alone. But then when Allah decreed safely for them and they came back to
land, they would make sure with him once again, and even though we're Hamdulillah, the Muslims
inshallah don't make sure they're not people who worship other than Allah. But in terms of our
		

			gratitude to Allah subhanho wa Taala we have a very similar mentality. In times of difficulty we
turn back to Allah, and in times of ease with regard to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And that's why in
this lecture, I wanted to concentrate on a story from the stories of the Quran, that speaks about
gratitude, to enlarge the Virgil, how a prophet from the great prophets of Allah subhanho wa Taala
remembered in times of ease, in times of happiness in times of play, in times, of having all of the
blessings that Allah gave to him enjoying all of those blessings, how he continued to remember Allah

in Surah, Yusuf and Allah azza wa jal reunites him with his brothers and his parents, and he thanks
a lot of soldier, he thanked him for the blessings that he bestowed upon him. And he remembers at
that time, the great blessings that Allah gave to him, and he doesn't make mention of all of the
		

			difficulties that he went through, even though in the story of use of the mention of those
difficulties is far more in number and far greater than the times of ease that he had. But he
mentioned the times of ease, and this is how the Prophet Allah hemos salatu salam wa. So I want to
focus on the story today of a prophet from the way prophets Allah azza wa jal, and that is the

			Allah subhanho wa Taala begins his passage of surah to naml by mentioning the many blessings and

Allah bestowed upon them. They graduate, they show their gratitude to Allah azza wa jal, and they
praised him subhana wa Tada. Now Me and you, my dear brothers and sisters, in Islam, we don't have
the miracles of the award or sell a man, nor do we have the knowledge that Allah imparted upon them.
		

			Before each and every single person sitting here, Allah azzawajal has also bestowed many, many
blessings, and many shapes and forms and varieties. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told
us that even if you were to not have any of those blessings, but Allah gave you just the most basic
of needs within your lives, then that itself is a great blessing from Allah, and it is sufficient
for us. And that's why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said Manasa, amin and V surbey more

wakes up in the morning, and you have safety and security in the community that you live in, you can
		

			go out and worship Allah, you can go to work, your children can go and play in the garden, you have
safety and security, and you have health within your body. Allah has given you control of your own
body, and you have enough food for just that day, enough for that day to feed yourself and your
family. It's as if you have all of the dunya to for you. All of the blessings of the dunya have been
given to you simply because of those three things. And that's why every single person, no matter how
rich or how wealthy, they all have
		

			These three blessings, just in different ways, shapes and forms. But it all comes down to these
three blessings. Allah subhanho wa Taala praised. The prophet SAW a man and he said that he
inherited the knowledge of his father the wood. And he said to the people, indeed, I have been
taught the language of the birds, and I have been given from everything mean cliche, from
everything. Indeed, this is from the greatest bounties of Allah subhanho wa Taala. What was the
miracle of the prophet SAW a man? What was his unique miracle that no one was given before him or
after him? It was the ability to communicate with the humans, the jinn and the animal world. Most of
		

			us we can only speak to humans. Some of the prophets like our Prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
had some discussions with the world of the jinn. But no prophet has been given full control over
these three worlds, the world of the humans, the world of the jinn, and the worlds of the animals
and the birds. And that's why the prophet SAW a man within the Orion he said, Rob be heavily mold

me. For indeed you are the one who bestows and Allah answered his door. And that's why the Prophet

that the children could have come and played with him in the morning, worried mark, for the death of
my brothers with a man, when he asked that he be given a kingdom that no one else should be given

were to think about all of the miracles that were given to all of the prophets, and he were to
consider this, this is the stuff of dreams. Imagine being able to go out and speak to the cat, and
the dog. And imagine being able to go to the zoo and speak to the lion and the elephants Imagine
		

			being able to see a bird in the sky and speak to it on the fly, buzzing around your head and being
able to have a conversation with a bee as it comes and lands on the flower. And you can understand
what it's saying. Imagine how Wait a miracle This was how easy things were. For the prophet SAW a
man how to his Salaam, in terms of the blessings that Allah had bestowed upon him. And the prophet
SAW A man was a king and a prophet, not just a prophet, but he was a king, as we know from the
Quran, and his story with the Queen of Sheba and so on. Allah had given him power, and dominion and
kingdom, and miracles that no other human ever had. So he had as a law says, an army made for him,
		

			an army from the jinn, and from the humans and from the animal world. Imagine having an army like
this at your disposal. Imagine being having the animals come to your aid, and agenda wall which is
unseen to us, that has powers that Allah has given to it. Imagine such a kingdom and such a world
and such species being under your control. This is the the great blessing that Allah bestowed upon
Solomon and his son, the miracles that Allah afforded to the prophet SAW a man had his son Um, so
what did he do with these miracles? You know, most of us can never even dream, we will never have
miracles like this. Most of us, the greatest miracles that we will boast about, or the greatest
		

			blessing, sorry, that we boast about is the nice car that we drive, or the nice house that we live
in, or the fact that we have a hamdulillah a good family, and maybe we have a few 1000 pounds more
in the bank than most people. This is our blessings and the extent to which we have our blessings.
But those small things will make us become arrogant and proud. They will make us forget Allah, be
heedless of Allah, neglect Allah, they will make us look down upon others think that we're better
than everyone else within our family, our neighborhood, our community, because of these simple
things. And because of them, we become arrogant and proud. So a man had one of the greatest
		

			blessings that Allah ever bestowed upon any prophet. And so a man and his son had control over not
only the humans, but as I said, the genes and even the birds and the animals. So what did he say?
Allah subhanho wa Taala gives to us an example of the humility and the humbleness and the gratitude
of Suleiman alayhis salam, despite these great blessings. And he says, continuing in the sort of
sort of two normal, he says, and by the way, sort of to normal means the sort of the and, and it is
named after the story that I am going to narrate to you the interaction that the prophet SAW a man
had with the ants. And the answers we know, are one of the weakest, one of the smallest, one of the
		

			most feeble creations of Allah subhanho wa Taala either. How often do we walk on the road or you
walk in your garden? Who knows?
		

			How many ants we kill just walking on the street not even noticing. We're probably serial killers,
why we kill so many ants, we trample on them. Maybe we destroy the whole habitats we don't even
know. Because that's how small and how small that creature is that you can't even see it unless you
pay extra attention. And even though an ant kingdom, a colony of ants will maybe have millions of
ants, you won't even know that they're there. That's how small they are large So in general, gives
us the example of the ant Allah subhanho wa Taala says,

When Allah azza wa jal tell us a story of Solomon speaking to the lion. You know, if you watch a
wildlife program where you go to the zoo, or you go to the Safari, which animals does everyone want
to see, they go to the lions, they go to the Tigers, they go to the elephants, no one says I'm going
to the zoo to go and look at the ants. I'm going to go and see the flies. I want to go and see the
centipede, you want to go and see these big animals that are live in the wild that you hear so much
		

			about. They're so formidable in the creation of Allah subhana wa Tada. Allah could easily have given
us an exchange between slay man, and the lions, between the Tigers, between the elephants, between
jaguars and Pumas, and all of these types of amazing creatures that Allah has created. But he gives
us the example of the smallest, most feeble, most insignificant of creations, the ant, and housel, a
man early his Salaam, heard the speech of an ant. This is how humble and how much humility so a man
and he Salam had, despite the many blessings that Allah had bestowed upon him, and this is how
grateful he was for the blessings of Allah. Because when he heard the speech of the queen, and he
		

			smiled, he smiled. Why did he smile? He smiled in recognition and acknowledgement of the many
blessings that Allah bestowed upon him. He smiled, and then he stopped and he made a dua, and he
said, Rob bl journey, and ash Khan and aromatic allottee and I'm to Allah, Yahweh, Allah, the day of
Allah give me the ability to show my thanks and my gratitude for the many blessings that you
bestowed upon me. And you bestowed upon my parents and allow me Our Lord, to continue to work in
righteousness in good and enter me with your mercy of Allah, amongst your righteous slaves. What a
beautiful day. What an amazing day. What are the feeling with the gratitude and humility and
		

			humbleness and love for Allah subhanho wa Taala thanking Allah azza wa jal asking him to keep him
steadfast upon the path that he is upon asking Allah to shower him with his mercy. And that is the
difference between those slaves of Allah who are grateful, and those slaves who are ungrateful,
because Allah within the Quran gives us the example of Pharaoh and her man and our own and all of
those other disbelieving people who when Allah would give them wealth and power and blessings, they
would use it to commit oppression. They would use it to subjugate the people. They would use it to
become arrogant and proud, and they would use it to forget Allah subhanho wa Taala but those
		

			People who have strong a man, whether they have wealth afterwards, or power, or they don't have any
ones or power doesn't make a difference to them, because their hearts are attached to Allah and
Allah alone. And everything they do, they do for Allah subhanahu wa Tada. And so he smiled at this,
imagine for these blessings that Allah gave him. And each and every single one of us even though we
don't have the blessings of such a man, we have so many blessings. Just look within your own bodies.
Imagine the eyesight and the blessing of eyesight, how valuable it is to you. If someone wants to
come to you today and say, tomorrow, you can't see anymore. This is the last day you will be able to
		

			see, how much would you give? How valuable is it for you to have that eyesight? Can you even imagine
what it must be like to be blind all the time, your wife, your children, everyone else, you can't
see anyone. imagine not being able to hear how much do we take this for granted, not being able to
speak imagine not being able to feel you took something you don't know what it feels like hot, cold,
rough, warm silk, whatever it is, you can't feel it. Imagine with inside your body, your heart,
every time in between, you had to commanded to meet. And it has to meet some 60 times a minute. So
each and every single second more or less, you're saying Heart Beat, beat beat because if you don't,
		

			it won't be and you'll die. Imagine if Allah subhanaw taala wanted and you had to charge these
organs, just like you go to a petrol station to you go to get a taco for your mobile phone. Imagine
you had to do that with your lungs, and your liver and your kidney and your intestines and every
other part of your body. How many blessings Allah bestowed upon us. And that's why the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that from the people who will come and Yeoman piano is a man who
from the age of maturity from the age he became an adult. until the time that he died. All he did
was worship Allah. He spent a lifetime in worship, his whole life was worship. So he will come and
		

			Yeoman piano he will say Allah on this day, reward me according to my actions, not because of your
mercy, because of my actions, a lifetime of worship. So Allah will decree that his lifetime of
worship be placed on one side of the scale, and all of the blessings of Allah be placed on the other
side of the scale, and they will be weighed, and it will be seen that his lifetime of worship is not
even equal to half the blessing of eyesight, just one eye, all of his lifetime of worship. Imagine
from the moment that you became an adult 13 1415 four until the moment you died. 60 7080 All you did
was worship Allah, nothing else worshiping Allah worshiping Allah worshiping Allah. And it's only

friends and advisors. And then he wanted to go to the bathroom, wanted to relieve the water that he

Allah azzawajal mentions the story of the ant and then he mentions another story that I want to
conclude with also within this passage of surah to normal and he says

			Allah subhanho wa Taala after mentioning the story of the ant, he mentioned another story of Solomon
and he said I'm with all of his army. And that is a story of Solomon with the bird known as the
		

			slay man and his Salaam had a hood with a type of small bird. And the job of this bird is duty
within this army. his responsibility was to go forth before the army and to seek out watering holes.
So when the army arrived in this area, it would be able to camp near the water that's all it had to
do. So the hood one would go and it would find water and it would come back and tell slay man and
then the army would go and they would rest at that place. So a man out of his salon was looking for
the money couldn't find it. What the fuck? He said I couldn't find the bird. What's happened to the
Hood Hood? Or is it something which has now vanished gone absent? He said by Allah I will punish it
		

			with the most severe of punishments or I will be headed sacrifice it all it will bring me bring me a
solid reason why was absent so so a man on his Sarah wants to know what the Hood Hood isn't
performing its task, why is just on a one absent without leave, and he will be punished or he will
bring me a good reason. And so after a short while the hood would return. And he said to say man, I
have been given knowledge that you do not have. Look at the choice of words that Allah uses within
the Quran. I have been given knowledge a small bird, you sing to slay man who controls the human
army and the jinn army and the animal and bird army. He says I have knowledge that you do not have.
		

			And I have come to you from the kingdom of Sheba from Seva with news. Indeed I have found amongst
them a queen that is the ruler and she has a vast kingdom with her and her people. They worship the
sun instead of Allah subhanho wa Taala and this is the news that he brought of a kingdom where the
people don't worship Allah alone. Look ahead so a man early his Sanam responded to this. Soon A man
has been told by a small bird, I have knowledge that you do not have to today man saying How dare
you? How do you have the audacity to say that Don't you know who I am, I am still a man or prophet,
the son of the Prophet, I have the genes and the humans and the birds and everything else. He
		

			accepted what the wood wood said, because he had humility and humbleness. He had fear of Allah
subhanho wa Taala. And that fear and the humility and the humbleness only brought him closer to
Allah subhanho wa Taala. And so when the hot wood came and told him of this kingdom, a vast kingdom
where the people worship the sun, instead of Allah, what did Solomon do? He used all of his
resources, all of his armies, everything that Allah had given him from blessings, to call those
people to Allah subhanho wa Taala and this is the point of the story. This is what I want to bring
to your attention a war World War I want to inshallah, conclude this lecture with as well. All of us
		

			have blessings, not on the scale of say a man and his Salaam, but all of us have blessings
individual to us.
		

			What I have you don't have and what you have, the other person doesn't have. Each one of you has the
ability to use them for good or for evil, to bring those people who around you closer to Allah, or
to drive them further away, through your character, through your speech, through your condom,
through the way that you deal with people, especially those people who are representing Islam and
especially those people who are always representing Sophia those people were calling to Allah and
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, those people who look at them, they should remember Allah

the story to speak about how he called them to Islam, and eventually Sheba, the Queen of Sheba bill
peace, she would accept Islam and her people, her kingdom would accept Islam. This is what we need
		

			to do, to use the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon us to be grateful to him to remember Allah
to come closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And then after we have done this for our individual
sounds, we have developed our own sounds, we need to use those same blessings to bring others closer
to Allah subhanho wa Taala. Each one of us is an ambassador for Islam, with our families, with our
friends, with our neighbors, with our colleagues, and with the general society. How many people
accepted Islam simply because of the character of the profs are seldom never needed to hear a verse
of the Quran being recited. They don't need to hear any Hadith, or any lecture didn't need to debate
		

			with the professor seldom or go into a lengthy argument, simply because of his character. And that's

Quran. He embodied the Quran, and this is what we need to do not only in times of difficulty, also

those people who are truly grateful for a line acknowledge the many blessings that Allah has
		

			bestowed upon us and allow us to have gratitude for those blessings and to use them to bring people
