Now
when we look at the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, one of the things that we see is that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam developed and nurtured a generation of leaders. And all of those companions or your loved one whom were leaders within their own fields, does it mean that every single one of them was a military leader, or a political leader or that type of leadership, but in within their own fields, and within their own areas of expertise, they were leaders. And this is something which the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam taught us and showed us that this is what we need to do within our communities. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
would look at his companions, and he would realize their strengths and their weaknesses. And he would give them opportunities in accordance to the strokes that they had. And so you have from amongst them, companions, who became leaders in the field of Hadith, and aerating the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, you had leaders who became leaders in the field of the Quran, and the memorization of the Quran and understanding of the Quran, and the teaching and the recitation of the Quran, then you had other companions who became leaders in knowledge, seeking knowledge and giving knowledge and teaching knowledge. You had people companions, who became
leaders, in military in military warfare, and in issues with relations to battles and wars, and so on. And so the companions are the long one whom they will lead us amongst them in all of these different fields. And one of the most beautiful things that we see from the life of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and the way that he nurtured the generation of companions, or the Allah or an homage Marine, is that he even nurtured from amongst them those companions who are very young in age. The Companions that we're focusing on in this series of lectures, companions like Abdullah bin Arbus, companions, like Osama bin Zayed companions like Abdullah bin Amaro companions like
Anna's been murdered, called the Allah who and whom, and many, many others young companions in age. Most of them by the time the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had died, had not reached over the teens, they will still within their teens, most of them are under the age of 20. By the death of the Prophet sallallahu sallam, he had still within that short period of time that the prophets on Allah wa alayhi wa sallam had with them, he made them and nurture them into leaders, and they would continue and go on and become such leaders. And that is one of the things that is most amazing about the companion that we have before us today. Abdullah bin Abbas are the Allahu Allahu Allah. He was
one of the youngest companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, one of the most youngest companions, that the prophet SAW Allah worthy, he will sell them hat. And because of his young age, his time the time that he spent with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was very short. Some of the scholars or biographies say that he didn't spend more than 30 months with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, approximately two and a half years. The toll that he had all the time that he had with the prophet SAW Allah What are they he will sell them. And at the time, the prophet son alone while he was still lamb died, they say that he was approximately 13 years in age, a 13 year old boy,
because it's a boy at age 13 years old. It still he became one of the greatest, most illustrious, most knowledgeable, most famous companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, despite his young age, despite how much of a short period he had with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and you find in the Sunnah of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam that there were other companions who would come from outside of Medina and they will travel to Medina and they would only
Spend 10 1520 nights a month, very short periods of time, but the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, during that time they would take from the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam, they would learn the Quran, they would understand the religion, they would learn about so many things as much as they were able to do. And then they would go back to their people and the prophets, Allah, Allah, wherever he will send them would make them leaders amongst the people. He would make them the Imams, he would make them the scholars, he would make them to do art. And you can imagine how much is it possible for a person to learn within 20 nights within a month, within two months, but even so, that
is one of the blessings that Allah bestowed upon that generation of people that despite that short amount of time, this is how much they grew in their knowledge and their understanding. And so I'm delighted in our bus was one of those people. And even after the death of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he was widely acknowledged, amongst even the major most Senior Companions to be a manageable amount of knowledge. And a man who's familiar with the Quran, and a man who the people returned to for knowledge as well. Abdullah nervous about the Allah one rumor, one of the term hearing said concerning him, the from the greatest virtues that he had are the Allahu handwarmer
that made him unique, even from amongst his own generation of companions was his knowledge, the knowledge that he had, be that knowledge of the Quran or be the knowledge of the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam this scholar from amongst the Tammy ring said that I didn't mean any of the companions, who was more knowledgeable about the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam than Abdullah live in Amara sorry, Abdullah bin bash. And that's why when you look at the most prolific narrators of Hadith, he is from amongst the top five. In the top five you will find him in a bus over 1600 Hadith he related 1600 narrations he has to his name, even though he was 13.
At the time of the death of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, only 30 months he spent within his company, he would go to other companions, and he would learn and he would seek that knowledge, and he would take from them as well, like Abubakar anormal, and those companions who are much older, much more senior than him, and he became one of the most prolific narrators of Hadith. Not only that, but he was one of the most knowledgeable companions, when it came to the rulings and decrees of Abubakar and Rama rhodiola, one humor during the hill offers. And he says that scholar that scholar from amongst the terbutaline there also what made him unique was his character, his
patience, the way that he would give knowledge not only that he sought knowledge, but the way that he would teach that knowledge as well. Bow was
one of the students have been our best one of the scholars of the turban when he was asked, How come you spent so much time going to Ibn Abbas, why did you spend so much time with him? Instead of people companions who are much older than him, much more senior than him, had accepted Islam before him, had spent more time with the prophets on alone, what are they he was sending them. And by was replied, that I came across 70 or 80 companions from amongst the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam who, when they differed in an issue, or they had a problem, they had a difference of opinion, they would go to him in a bus, and they would ask him, and they would take his opinion. And when I saw
this, I started going to a dinner pass. And that shows that the companions are the Allahu at home. Well, not only people of knowledge, people understood the Quran and the Sunnah. But people who valued knowledge, and they will people have humility and humbleness. And they will people who would accept the truth, wherever and whenever it came from. And that's why those older, more Senior Companions, even though even Abbas is far younger than them, even though he's far Junior than them, even though he didn't spend as much time as they did with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam here once they acknowledged his knowledge, and they knew the knowledge that he had of the Quran, and
the Sunnah, and they would return to Him, they would ask him, they would take from his fatawa, and so on. And that's why from amongst the students that he had, Brahim Allahu taala, from amongst his students, or those students from amongst them with our bond, rahima, hula, hula, and Mujahid and these types of scholars who became from the greatest scholars of Islam. To the extent that our power one of the students have been abuzz in the time of Hajj. And this is in the time of the tablet when we're talking about the second generation of Muslims, where there are hundreds if not 1000s of scholars, many of the greatest scholars of Islam were living, but when it came for the time of Hajj,
and the people and the scholars gathered in Makkah
halifa would say that no one is allowed to give a fatwa no one should give a religious ruling except Akbar, one of the students of Eman Arbus. And that is how great the knowledge of that scholar apart was. But it was also a testament to his teacher, Abdullah bin Arbus or the Allahu anhu. They would say about him in a bus or the Allahu anhu mother, when he would wake up in the morning, after fudger. And he would come home after sunrise, He will say to his students go and see outside if there is anyone who needs my my knowledge, or anyone wants to ask me a question. And so the students would go outside, and the whole street was full of people. People who wanted to speak to him in our
bus, wanted to take from his knowledge, wanted to ask questions. And so I've been our bus would say to them, ask them, say to them, anyone who has a question about boron or tafsir, let them come in. And so the students would go out and they would say anyone who has a question about foreign come in. And so everyone who had an issue about the Quran would come into his house, and he would speak to them and he would deal with all of their questions. And then they would leave. And then he would say to his students, ask anyone if they have any questions about fake, about how to pray, how to fast those types of issues, let them come in, then they would come in, then he would say let them ask
anyone, if they have issues about inheritance, need to know how to divide their property and the estate, let them come in. And so they would come in, and then you would ask them about anyone who has a question about Arabic language and, and poetry and eloquence and so on, let them come in, and they would come in, and this is how he would go through all of the major sciences of Islam until towards our time, they would be no one left, or the Allahumma. And this is something that Romano the Allahu himself acknowledged. Even though I'm already along, wine was far more senior, far more knowledgeable, and a greater Companion of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, but during his
khilafah, he would say about Abdullah, even abus or the Allahu anhu ma he would say that he is the extremely intelligent young man. He has a tongue that questions meaning that whenever he doesn't understand something he'll ask. And he has a mind that is extremely intelligent, extremely sharp. And our model the Allahu Akbar would acknowledge his pledge even during his khilafah
um, do live in a bus of the Allah, as we know, is the cousin of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and he is the son of his uncle al Abbas ibn Abdullah McCauley, brother Yama, one. And an Ibis had other children as well. But perhaps the most famous from amongst them is Abdullah bin bass. And Abdullah bin bash.
One of his ants by the name of maimunah is the wife of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam one of our mothers, one of the mothers of the believers. So he was extremely close to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam attempt to live in a bus even though he accepted Islam from a young age. him and his mother remained in Makkah, and they didn't migrate to Medina until the year of the conquest of Mecca. And the conquest of Makkah took place in the eighth year of the Hydra. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam died in the 10th year of the hijra. And so he was in Makkah for most of his early years. It is said that he was born three years prior to the Hendra three years
before the age of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and at that time, it is said that our best on the long run was still on a Muslim, he hadn't accepted Islam. And then aerations differ as to when Allah bas accepted Islam. Some say he was before the Battle of birtherism say after the Battle of butter, and some say later on. But even so, Abdullah bin Arbus are the Allah one whom I said concerning himself and his mother, that we didn't migrate to Medina until the year of the conquest of Makkah. But me and my mother were Muslims. We had accepted Islam, but we were from the mastaba Athene from the weak people who couldn't migrate. And Allah speaks about these people in the Quran,
or Mustafa Rafi and I mean originally when Nisa he will will done those weak companions men, women, children, who are unable to migrate for whatever reason, Abdullah bin Arbus would say that my mother was from the weak women. I was from the weak children. So we did not migrate. they migrate and after the conquest of McLean, the eighth year of the Hydra, and they came to Medina and that is when the relationship of Abdullah bin abus the close connection, or Abdullah bin Arbus began with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And what is amazing stuff from the young age the prophets of Allah Allah he was sent him despite that short time that he had with him, he acknowledged and he could see
the potential and the strengths and the
intelligence of Abdullah bin abasolo the Allahu anhu Ma, and that's why one of the famous Hadith and one of the Hadith that Imam nawawi Rahim Allah Allah narrated in his famous book, The 40 hadith of Imam and nawawi. And these 40 odd Hadith are the most essential, most basic Hadith that we all need to be familiar with the basics of our religion. From those Hadith is this hadith of Abdullah bin Abbas, who during that 13 month period that he had with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the prophets of Allah wa alayhi wa sallam gave him this amazing advice. And it was from this advice that you can see that I'm delighted and our bass is being groomed. He's being nurtured to become a great
leader of this religion. The prophets on Allah Allah He was sending them said to him, Yahoo lamb, oh boy, I am going to teach you a number of words. So remember them. remember Allah and Allah will remember you. Remember Allah wherever you are, and Allah will face you and then the Prophet salaallah alayhi wa sallam continued in the Hadith. And then towards the end of the Hadith, he said to Abdullah bin Arbus know that if all of the people were together and unite, and they came to benefit you with something, they wouldn't be able to do so except with that which Allah has already decreed for you, and all that if they were all together and unite and to try to harm you with
something, then they would be unable to do so. Except from that which Allah had already decreed for you. The pens have been lifted, and the pages have dried. And so the profits are lower and he will send them from that young age is teaching him in abass. To have trust in Allah, to rely upon Allah to always turn to Allah to constantly remember Allah subhanho wa Taala to know that everything, all of the affairs are in the hands of Allah subhana wa Tada. The word decrees will come to pass. And so he is building this connection with the bin abass with Allah subhanho wa Taala this connection between even Abbas and Allah subhana wa Taala from the very young age, and that's why one of the
other famous had either been adverse, or the long run Houma is that a night when he went to the house of his aunt me Muna rhodiola, who I'm one of the wives of the Prophet SAW Allah where are they he will sell them. And he spent that night with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and his aunt me Muna and he wanted to stay up during the night to see how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam worship Allah during the night, how he prayed the hadoo Bian lane. And so when the prophet SAW Allah where are they he was seldom stood up during the night to pray, he came and he stood on the left side of the Prophet sallallahu IRA, he will sell them. So the prophet SAW Selim took him and he took
him around and he placed him on his right side, because the Imam stands on the left and the person who's praying with the Imam stands on the right. And so he changed his position. And in the Hadith, the prophet SAW Allah and he was selling them after the prayer finished, he made a deal for him in a bus. I'd rather Allah accepted. And he said Allahumma fucka houfy Dean, where unlimited will Allah give him understanding of the religion and teach him the interpretation, the Tafseer of the Quran, and so I've been a bass became a leader, not only in tafsir, but he became an leader in knowledge in general. And that's why the scholars when they speak about it been abuzz from the titles they give
him his story German or on the interpreter of the Quran. And from the titles, they give him his herbal oma, the ink pen of the oma the ink of the oma because of the great amount of knowledge that he imparted to us. So he spent a short time with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, 13 months or so. And then he passed away the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam passed away. Abdullah bin our bus at a time is 13 years old. And I'm sure there's people who are sitting today, then around the age some of our younger brothers and sisters 12 1314 around the age. Look at how to be a boss is 13 years old. What does a normal 13 year old do during their day? What is their main preoccupation in
life? What is their day to day routine? A 13 year old boy What do they spend their time doing? Abdullah bin abasolo the Allah who and whom I was one of the youngest companions, had spent some of the least time with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam because unless even Malik was also a young companion, but he spent all of the years of Medina from the beginning of the hedge run till the end with the prophets are seldom 10 years he spent with the prophets of Salaam Abdullah bin Amara is one of the young companions but he was with Omar the Allahu Akbar when he migrated. And he spent all of that time with the prophets of Salaam 10 odd years are a shell of the Allah who is from
them.
companions, but she too spent all of the time in Medina. Osama bin Zayed is from the young companions. But he too was in Medina for all of that time. So Abdullah bin Ibis in many ways is unique in the sense that even though is extremely closely related to the Prophet salaallah alayhi wa sallam, he spent very little time with him. So Abdullah bin Arbus had a lot of catching up to do, hadn't spent 10 odd years with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, listening to his Hadith, benefiting from his character, taken from his knowledge, sitting with him, traveling with him and so on. So I'm delighted that I but shortly after the death of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
even though Abu Bakar was alive, and Rama was alive, on Earth, man was alive, and he was alive, and abora was alive. And all of those companions, those are our older, Major, older, major companions, much more senior than him or alive. He said to one of his friends.
That was at the same age of him, same age. He said to him, and he was from the unserer. He said to him, why don't we go and visit these old companions, these major companions and seek knowledge from them, take from them what they took from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. his companion from the unsolved said to him, oh, Abdullah, do you think that the people will ever do when they have amongst them the likes of Abubakar and Rahman on Earth, man, and Ali, won't need to they have a view, and you're seeking of knowledge. Don't delude yourself, you're not needed. And so he left him. And that man from the inside, the young boy went off, and he just did what he would normally do.
Abdullah abasolo, the Allahu anhu ma wasn't deterred, didn't become demoralized, didn't think perhaps that man or that boy has a point, he ignored him. And so what he would do was after law, you would go, and he would go to the houses of the companions, and he would take off his top rope. And that's what they would normally wear, often, they would wear a top rope and a lower rope, just as you were in a forum, when you go for Umrah hunt, he will take off his top rope, and he would place it on the ground outside of the door of that house with a companion live. And then he would sit down or lie down on that, on that, on that sheet of his on that rope. And he would wait for that
companion to come out. He would wait for him to come out out of a ticket out of you know, respect of the teacher doesn't want to go and disturb him doesn't just go knock on the door doesn't demand to be seen. And had he been demanded to be seen, they would have given him that knowledge. And they would have given him that courtesy because of his close relationship to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. But he would wait. And then when the companion would come out, sometimes in the numbers would be asleep. And so they would wake him up. And they would say, What are you doing here? Or son of the uncle of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And they've been our bus, Allah who
I'm whom I would reply, that I heard that you have some Hadith that you heard from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And I want to hear them from you. Look at that determination. Look at the eagerness look at the enthusiasm. Look at that passion. Look at the time and effort that he places. And it's in the middle of the day, when the sun is at its highest point, when it's the hottest weather. And he just goes and patiently waits. And so sometimes those companions would say, Why didn't you call for us? We would have come to you. And so you would reply No, for this is the right that the teacher has over the student. This is a 13 year old boy with this etiquette, with his
respect for his teachers, even though he had above them a certain virtue and that is he is more closely related to the prophet SAW Allah wherever you will sell them. But then you will take from their knowledge.
On one occasion he was with the illustrious companion, Zaid immunotherapy through the Allahu Akbar, I think Obamacare is one of the two and he took some knowledge from him. And when he listened to him and waiting Hadith and he had finished, obey blue crab, gone on his horse or his camel, and he was about to write off. So Abdullah bin, I bust the reign of the camel, and he began to walk with it. And so obey evolocumab I think who the companion was, he said, also one of the uncle of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, leave it alone.
Out of respect for even above that you're one of the closely closest members of the family of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam you shouldn't be leading my camel. And so even our boss would say, this is from the etiquettes that a student teach shows to his teacher. This is from the tickets that a student shows to his teacher. So babe lowcarb would come off his camera, and he would go to him in our bus and he would kiss him on his forehead. And he would say this is from the etiquettes that we show to them.
are many of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. But look at how Abdullah been amassed from that young age was a man not only of a person who was eager and seeking knowledge and learning about his religion, but he was even at a young age extremely
good man and extremely well mannered, having a good character, having beautiful etiquettes showing respect to his teachers. And so I'm delighted abus quickly became one of not only the most knowledgeable companions amongst his generation, but he also became one of the companions with the most understanding of the religion. Not only had he memorized a lot of the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, but he had a lot of knowledge as well. And that's why when Abdullah and I buzzworthy Allahumma, during the time of our model, the Allahu Allah when he was the halifa armano, the Allahu Ahad assura. And these were his closest advice. And most likely the people that
the that will make will make up in that sure are the members of that Shura were the companions who had participated in the Battle of budock. Those that level of companionship, the most Senior Companions, the oldest companions in age, the ones who have accepted Islam at the beginning, those companions that will present at the Battle of battle. And that's why one of the famous sayings that the scholars have is when they see a difference of opinion that you should rush into a difference of opinion, when there's a difference of opinion in an issue. For had Omar been presented with this issue, he would have gathered the people of butter, that's what the scholars say. And that's
basically referring to the shore of that he had that he would gather the companions that were participating at the Battle of button, those would be the members of assura. But from amongst those people, he also added Abdullah bin abass and I'm one of the Allahu Allah if at the death of the prophet or seldom, he's 13 years old, even abdus. Abu Bakr was khilafah was approximately two and a half years. So bin Abbas is now 15, maybe 16, then it's the hilife of Rama. Rama is killer for lasted approximately 10 years. And so he may be in his 20s, early 20s. Maximum is 25. By the death of Romano the alarm rang, still extremely young, may well be in his teenage years when he's being
brought into this council. And so I'm one of the Allah who would bring him in. Some of the older companions were upset at this and they would say to her, how come you choose him, but you don't choose any of our children or any of the other companions around his age from his generation. And so I'm one of the Allah who would say, I choose him because of his age, but because of his knowledge, and then he tested the companions. And he said when Allah subhanaw taala revealed the verse, either jaw or nostril law he will fit when the when the help and assistance of Allah and when his victory and the conquest comes, what are eight unanswered hollow navidi de la he of wotja and you see that
the people are entering into the religion of Allah in droves for sub Bish behind the rock because starfield then praise and glorify your Lord and seek His forgiveness in the whole Carnot awaba. For Indeed Allah is from among is the one who often accepts repentance. This sewn on one of the last sonars that was revealed to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, one of the shortest solos of the Quran in the 13th jewels. He said to the companions, that when Allah revealed the surah to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, what did it signify? And so the companions had many answers. And Ramana said, to have been a bus, what do you say? What is the significance of this surah serban,
our bus replied, and he said, that the significance of the surah is that it shows that the death of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is approaching that his mission is complete. He's fulfilled his message, and his death is now coming. And so I'm gonna said, From All of the explanations that I have heard, it has been Abbas's, that I know of, that is the one that I know, that is the one that I agree with. And so we showed that even at a young age, Abdullah bin a basketball the Allahu anhu, had great knowledge. And bleiben ambus was also a man who had a large soldier blessed him with the great ability of memorization. He had a very good memory, to the extent that a person would come to
him, and they will recite poetry to him once and he will be able to memorize that poetry just from hearing it once. And there are narrations that you get to the extent that a person would come to him, and he would narrate or you would just recite his poetry. And then when he would leave, the people would say, even a bus What did that man recite, and I'm blah blah bus or the Allahumma would recite from memory, the poetry that he had just recited
That is how wait his memory was radi Allahu Allahu Allah. And that's how he memorized 1000s of Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Abdullah bin Arbus was also extremely perceptive person of great knowledge and he was extremely perceptive. There is a narration of Abdullah blockbuster once he went with his father and a bus to see the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And so he knocked on the door once, and then twice, and then three times and no one replied. And so our bus turned away and he was angry, the uncle of the Prophet sallallahu Sallam because the prophets of Salaam had come out to greet him and open the door and welcome him on so I'm delighted
when I buzzer to his father or my father, don't become angry. Perhaps the reason why he didn't open the door was because of that person that he was speaking to the person that he was sitting with. So our boss said was he sitting with some I didn't see anyone that he was sitting with. He said he was sitting with someone. So my late one Allah burst met the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he mentioned this incident to him and and our boss said that that person that he saw was gibreel Allah His Salaam but I was sitting with and so it shows how Abdullah bin Ibis Allah The Allahu Allahu Allah. He was extremely perceptive. He was also someone who didn't like to involve himself in
argumentation and debating person who didn't like to call split and differences within the oma. And that's why one of the times when, when he was sitting in the shore of Mr. rhodiola, who A man came from one of the frontier lands one of the lands where Jihad was being waged people were accepting Islam and on lands were being conquered he came from the area and he came to Rama rhodiola one and from the news and updates the report that he gave to remember the Allah one was the people in those lands were memorizing Quran very quickly. So they were memorizing the Quran and they were memorizing it with great speed. So I've been I've been spoke up and he said, I disliked that they should do so
that they should memorize the Quran so quickly. So I'm going to be Allah one became angry. And he told him Abbas to be quiet. So I've been on a bus left, and he just went home. So the late Tron, Ahmadi Allah who went to the house of him in our bus, and he called for him, and he said, Why were you upset? Why did you say what you said, what was the reason behind it? Even our bus didn't want to get involved didn't want to cause any problems? He said, I'd rather not say, but I'm one of the Allah who insisted. So I've been a bus said, Oh, a mural, meaning when the people begin to memorize the Quran so quickly, they will memorize it without understanding. And when they memorize it without
understanding, they will increase in the differing because they will debate over the meaning and the interpretation of this verse on that verse. And they will differ over the understanding of the Quran. And when they begin to differ over the understanding of the on on, then the oma will begin to disunite and split amongst oma begins to disunite and he begins to split, then the Muslims will begin to fight with one another.
And that was what Abdullah in our bustle of the Allahu anhu has said, and how true his statement is, that when you memorize the Quran, or you read the Quran without understanding, it leads to a lack of knowledge and understanding of the Quran that leads to argumentation and deferring. And that then leads to splitting within the oma because of different interpretations. And that splitting then leads to more fitna and eventually killing and the oma becoming disunited. And Abdullah bin Arbus recognize this in the time of Armando the Allah one. And it came true, because then after the assassination of Earth man, not the long run, and during the time of value on the long run the
hawala and these other sects that began to appear, they began to differ with the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And they differed, and the oma began to split and disunite into these various sects. And so from amongst those people who split Well, those people who disunited or they rebelled against earlier or the Allah one, and they were from his army, people who supported him initially. But then after the difference that took place amongst the companions, they left him and they were like 24 25,000 people that were from his army, and they left and they didn't accept our God Allah who any longer as the halifa. And so even our boss or the Allah, who I'm whom I said
to him, why don't you let me go and speak to these people? And he said, I fear that if you go, they will harm you. They will harm you in some way. He said, they will harm me, let me go. And so that he went and he spoke to them, and he said, what are your issues with Rd rhodiola? who and why do you differ with him? And so they mentioned three issues. They said number one, that he allows men to rule in the religion of Allah. He appoints men who are judges in the affairs of the religion, number, that even though we've had these battles amongst, you know, the Muslims, we've had these battles
On these wars that we've waged, he hasn't taken any war booty, nor has he taken any prisoners of war from the other camp. And the third issue that he mentioned was that he doesn't call himself a mural, meaning anymore, he doesn't refer to himself as the leader of the believers. So I'm done live in our bus and he shows you his knowledge, his wisdom, his understanding of the religion. He said to them that I bring to you from the Quran. And from the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam evidences for three of these things. Will you then accept his rule? Will you then go back to him? They said, Yes. He said, Okay, so as for the first one, the first issue that you have the term or
the daddy rhodiola one allows men to become judges. Don't you see that Allah subhanaw taala says in the Quran, your your levina man will attempt to slay the one to home woman katella min komuter Ahmed and for Joseph myth, Rama Patel, Amina Nam, como de he's our ugly men come, Allah subhanho wa Taala, from the restrictions of the state of Iran is that you can't hunt, the state of Iran, no hunting is allowed, any land animal cannot be hunted. And if you hunt an animal, like, for example, a deer, or a gazelle, or some type of animal, then the expiation that you have to give is that you have to sacrifice an animal from those animals that may normally eat like a camel, or a sheep or a goat or a
cow. You have to sacrifice the animal that is closest in size and resemblance to the animal that you hunted. And who tells you what animal resembles this? Allah says, Yeah, he's our ugly men come the people of knowledge, the people of justice, they are the ones who tell you who should do they are the ones that determined the animal that you should sacrifice. So better bastard Don't you see that a lot in the command over an issue like an animal or how you sacrifice an animal, he made men, the rulers he made men the judges in this affair. So therefore doesn't it make more sense that when it comes to issues with the oma splitting, and when Muslims are fighting other Muslims and blood is
being spelled that we should also have judges in this and so they accepted this point. The second point they said that he didn't take any war boots, he didn't take any prisoners of war. He said to them rule from amongst you would take his own mother inshallah, the Allahu Allah, the wife of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam as a prisoner of war. If you were to take as a prisoner of war, that would be an act of disbelief, because of the disrespect that you show her. And if you don't accept her as your mother, then that is also an act of disbelief, because Allah says in the Quran, and EBU Ola bill, meaning I mean, unfussy him was word to Maha to him, that the Prophet of Allah
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he has more right over the believers than they have over themselves, and his wives or their mothers. And so they accepted this point. And the third point that they had that he doesn't call himself a mural, meaning the leader of the believers, Abdullah bin Abbas rhodiola, who said to them, don't you see that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was greater than arguing and was more beloved to Allah than earlier, had a way to station that early, he did exactly the same thing. When in the Treaty of Arabia, he was writing the treaty and he wrote between Muhammad Rasulullah, Mohammed, the Messenger of Allah, and so they disagreed with this, the Croatian
they said, if we accepted that you were the Messenger of Allah, we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place. Wouldn't be fighting one have these wars between us if we accepted this, rather call yourself Mohammed bin Abdullah until the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam with his own hand. He deleted that word Rasul, Milan, he wrote Mohammed bin Abdullah, and so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam took off that, that title of Rasulullah because of a greater good, and so they also accepted that point, and the vast majority of them, then returned to the army early rhodiola one so I'm delighted I buzzworthy Allahu Allah was known for this, he was known for his knowledge, and he
was known for his, his his understanding of the religion and his wisdom and his good character. And that is why one of the greatest madrasahs that we have, one of the way to schools of knowledge we had, in the early period of Islam was the mother of Abdullah bin abasolo, the Allahu anhu Ma, which was in Makkah, and many of the scholars of Islam who come from who came from Makkah during that time, studied under his madrasa and he became one of the greatest companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam in terms of narrating the head in terms of his generation of Hadith, in terms of his teaching knowledge, in terms of giving his fingerprints the seal of the Quran, Abdullah
buzzworthy Allahu anhu man lived until the year 68, Hydra and before his death, he became blind
became blind in his later life, and he died in the year 6800. He was approximately ill for about eight days. And at the age of approximately 71, he died for the Allahu anhu were born. So this is a brief biography of our blood robbers for the Allahu anhu. And I've only really touched on the surface of his life, for the long run whomever we can see and one of the things that I really wanted to bring out in this lecture was his passion for knowledge, and his drive and enthusiasm about learning about religion of Allah subhanaw taala. And that even from a young age, this didn't deter him, and because of his sincerity, because of the way that he attached himself to Allah because of
the DA, but the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam made for him, he became one of the greatest and most illustrious companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam how they will lower them or Sunnah loans and motivate them from Eduardo early or something.
