I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed
Satan In the name of Allah, Most Gracious,
Most Merciful Peace and blessings of Allah be
upon you In the name of Allah, Most
Gracious, Most Merciful All praise is due to
Allah, Lord of the worlds And the reward
is due to the righteous And there is
no aggression except against the wrongdoers But
They Don'T Really Listen, They Hear The Words
But They Don'T Stop To Contemplate Over Them
And You Can See In This Episode In
The Last One In The One Before That
In These Few Verses That We'Ve Taken
Towards The End Of Surah Al-A'Raf
Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala Is Repeating This This
This Point We Emphasizing This Issue.
It Has Been Mentioned Over And Over Again
And That Is That The People Of Shirk
And Kufr Don'T Use Their Senses In The
Way That They Should.
They Don'T Use The Blessings Of Allah Azzawajal
Of Their Hearing And Their Sight And Their
Heart And Their Brain And The Ability To
Comprehend And Reflect And Contemplate.
They Don'T Use Them In The Way That
They Should Be Meant To Be Used.
They Use Them Yes For The Dunya, They
Use Them To Follow Their Desires.
They Use Them To Do Evil And Haram
But When It Comes To Looking For Guidance,
Searching For The Truth, Try To Understand Their
Purpose In Life.
They Won'T Use Them For Those Things.
In Fact, They Will Do The Very Opposite.
They Will Ignore What Their Heart Is Telling
Them.
They Will Ignore Trying To Understand Revelation And
Guidance In Scripture.
They Will Ignore The Signs That They See
Around Them And That They Hear And That
Is What Allah Azzawajal Is Saying La Isma
'u, They Don'T Listen.
The Time Of The Prophet Salallahu Alaihe Wasalam,
The Prophet Salallahu Alaihe Wasalam Is There In
Front Of Them.
He'S Speaking To Them.
He'S Reciting The Quran To Them.
He'S Warning Them.
He'S Advising Them.
They'Re Hearing All Of This But They
'Re Not Stopping To Listen And To Comprehend.
And You Look At Them And They'Re
Looking At You.
But They Don'T Really See You, Meaning They
Don'T See You As The Messenger Of Allah.
They Haven'T Understood That Point.
They Haven'T Made That Connection, But They Just
See You As Another Man Or They See
You As A Threat To Their Wealth And
Their Positions And Their Influence And Their Power
And Their Society And The Way Of Their
Forefathers.
That'S What They See But They Don'T See
The Guidance That You Have Bought For The
Sake Of From Allah Subhanaw Taala So That
You May Guide Them To Allah Azzawajal.
In Verse 199 Allah Subhanaw Taala Gives To
Us An Amazing Comprehensive Verse In Which Allah
Azzawajal Tells Us The Way That We Should
Deal With Others, Principles In Dealing With Others,
Three Things.
Allah Subhanaw Taala Says Khudil Afwa Wa Amur
Bil Urfi Wa Arid Ali Al-Jahileen Be
Tolerant, Command What Is Right And Pay No
Attention To The Foolish People.
This Is An Amazing Comprehensive Verse That Speaks
About The Way That You Should Deal With
People.
Number One, That You Should Be Tolerant And
Forgiving.
Al-Afwa Is To Forgive, Is To Overlook,
It Is To Pardon, It Is To Be
Tolerant In Order For You To Be Able
To Live With People And To Connect With
People And Especially People That Are Close To
You, People Who For Example In Your Own
Family, Your Children, Your Spouses, Your Siblings.
You Have To Have A Level Of Patience
And Forgiveness And Pardoning Because As We Know
Every Single One Of Us Fall Short, All
Of Us Make Mistakes And All Of Us
Oppress And Withhold The Rights Of Others.
If You'Re Someone Who Doesn'T Have The
Ability To Overlook Certain Things And That Doesn'T
Mean That When People Oppress You Or They
Do Major Wrong To You That You Don'T
Hold Them To Account.
But We'Re Talking About The Everyday Things
That Happen.
People In Their Different Characters, Their Different Personalities,
They See Things In A Certain Way.
They Do Things In A Certain Way.
When You'Re For Example, Traveling Together With
A Group Of People, You'Re Making Hajj
And You Have People Around You, You'Re
In The Masjid And The People Around You,
You'Re Seeking Knowledge And The People Around
You, All Of These Things When You'Re
Interacting With Other People, Muslims, Neighbors, Friends, Relatives,
Workers, Coworkers, Employees, Whatever It May Be, Then
You Always Going To Find This Issue.
If You'Re A Person Who'S Rough And
Tough, You Can'T Tolerate Anyone Doing Anything Wrong
With You, Then You Always Going To Be
Clashing.
There'S Always Going To Be Friction.
There'S Always Going To Be A Problem And
That Isn'T The Way That The Muslim Should
Be, But The Muslim Should Be As The
Prophet Salallahu Alaihe Wasalam Was, Easy-Going, Lenient
With People, Forgiving, Overlooking And That Is Why
The Prophet Told Us Salallahu Alaihe Wasalam In
The Hadith That Allah Azza Wa Jalla May
Allah'S Mercy Be Upon The One Who Is
Samh, The One Who'S Easy-Going, Forgiving, Overlooks,
Easy-Going When He Buys, Easy-Going When
He Sells, Easy-Going When He Takes A
Loan, Easy-Going When He Repays The Loan,
Easy-Going When He Gives The Loan, Who
Asks For It Back, Easy-Going With All
Of These Issues That A Person Has To
Go Through.
That'S The First Trick.
Number Two, Wa'amur Bil'uf And Command
That Which Is Right, That Which Is Good,
Called To That Which Is Good In Terms
Of Character, In Terms Of Iman, In Terms
Of Ibadah, In Terms Of Words, In Terms
Of Actions And Deeds Always Called To That
Which Is A Pride Because Then Not Only
Are You Doing Good For Yourself, But You
'Re A Source Of Good For Others.
You'Re A Source Of Good For Those
People Around You And That Is How The
Muslim Should Be, The Muslim Should Be Someone
Who Not Only Is Calling To Good Themselves,
They'Re Upon Good Themselves, But They'Re
Calling To It, Calling Towards Good For The
Others Around Them.
Khodi Al'Affa Wa'amur Bil'uf, Wa
'arid Anil Jahileen And Stay Away From Those
Who Are Not Upon This Path, The Ignorant,
The Foolish, The People Who Are Going To
Come And Try To Oppose You, Stay Away
From Those People, Ignore Them, Don'T Spend Too
Much Time And Effort With Them.
These Three Things Are Needed In Order For
A Person To Have Number One Good Character,
But In Order For Them Also To Make
A Positive Impact In The Community With Those
People That Are Around Them.
Number One That They Should Be Easygoing In
Their Personality, Forgiving, Overlooking, Pardoning.
Number Two That They Always Call To What
Is Good Because That Benefits Them, It Benefits
Those Around Them, It Benefits The Whole Community
And The People Who Ignore The Foolish, Those
People Who Are Not Willing To Listen, Those
People Who Want To Oppose, Those People Are
Going To Mock Them, Make Fun Of Them,
Detract From What They'Re Trying To Do,
Distract Them From Doing What They'Re Doing,
Ignore Them Because Those People Don'T Have Anything
Positive To Contribute.
In Verse Number 200 Allah Azzawajal Then Continues
And Says وَإِمَّا يَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ
بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ If Shaytan Should Prompt
You To Do Something Then Seek Refuge With
Allah For His All Hearing Or Knowing.
Allah Azzawajal Says That When Shaytan Makes Nazg,
Nazg Means To Prod You Because That'S What
Shaytan Does When He Whispers To You Or
He Prompts You To Do Something.
It'S Like He'S Prodding You, Prodding You Towards
A Certain Direction, Prodding You Towards A Certain
Thought, A Certain Whispering Of His, A Certain
Thing To Disobey Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala And
That Is Common, Happens To People When They
'Re Praying, When They'Re Making Wudu, Happens
To People Throughout The Day And Night, Happens
To People In Their Business Dealings In Their
Interpersonal Relationships, Happens To Them All The Time
Because Shaytan Is Ever-Present Whispering, Making The
Haram Seem Alluring To You, Coming To You
And Asking You Or Telling You To Disobey
Allah Azzawajal, That Is Always Happening.
So What Does The Believer Do As Much
As They Can?
فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ Seek Refuge In Allah Azzawajal And
That Is Why The Duas Of Islam Are
Predicated Not Only Upon Asking For Allah Azzawajal'S
Protection, Asking Allah Azzawajal'S For Things But Also
In Making Istia'at, Seeking Allah'S Refuge, Seeking
Allah'S Protection, Seeking Allah'S Divine Help From Evil
And Harm And The Greatest Of Those Evils
And Harms Is The Evil And Harm Of
Shaytan.
You Find It In The Adhkar Of The
Morning And The Evening, You Find It In
The Different Duas Of The Day, You Find
It In Different Times And Interactions.
Like For Example, When You Become Angry, The
Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam Say, أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ
الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ You Find It When You'Re
Coming To Read The Quran Or Make Certain
Acts Of Worship, To Ask Allah Azzawajal To
Protect You From Shaytan Is One Of The
Greatest Defenses That The Muslim Has Against This
Enemy Of Their'S.
فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ So Seek Allah'S Protection From Shaytan.
إِنَّهُ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ Free His All Hearing All
Knowing.
Allah Subhanaw Taala Then Describes The Believers And
What They Do.
When Shaytan Does Prompt Them, He Does Prompt
Them.
He Does Manage To Overcome Them With His
Whispering And So إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا إِذَا مَسَّهُمْ
طَائِفٌ مِّنَ الشَّيْطَانِ تَذَكَّرُوا فَإِذَا هُمْ مُبَصِرُونَ Those
Who Are Aware Of Allah Think Of Him
When Shaytan Prompts Them To Do Something And
Immediately They Can See Straight.
That Is The Way Of The Mu'min.
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا Those Who Are Aware Of
Allah Have Taqwa Of Allah Or Conscious Of
Allah Azzawajal.
They Realize When Shaytan Has Overcome Them.
They Do Their Best To Protect Themselves, Fortify
Themselves Making Steedha, Making The Adhkar, Making Dua
To Allah Azzawajal, Doing Good, Making Ibadah Of
Allah Azzawajal But Sometimes Shaytan Will Breach Their
Defenses.
Shaytan Will Overpower Them.
Shaytan Will Overcome Them.
His Whispering Will Penetrate Their Defenses And They
Will Follow Him In Certain Ways One Way
Or Another.
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا But The Difference Is That
Those People Of Taqwa إِذَا مَسَّهُمْ طَائِفٌ مِّنَ
الشَّيْطَانِ When Shaytan Prompts Them To Do Something,
When Some Of Those Things Come Over Them
And They Do Some Of The Haram, They
Do Some Of That Which Allah Has Disobeyed
Them From Doing Or Forbidden Them From Doing
تَذَكَّروا They Remember, They Are Mindful Of Allah.
They Remember That Is One Of The Benefits
Of Constantly Reading The Quran, Worshipping Allah Azzawajal.
It'S Not That You Will Never Sin, No,
Because Every Human Sins, But The Difference Is
That After You Sin, You Will Remember Allah
Again And That Is The Difference Between The
Righteous Muslim And The One That'S Not Righteous
Between The Believer And The Disbeliever Between Those
Whom Allah Has Honored His Awliya And Those
People Who Have Yet To Reach That Level
From Amongst The Muslims تَذَكَّروا They Remember Allah
فَإِذَا هُمْ مُبْصِرُونَ And Immediately They Can See
With Clarity.
They Have Insight.
What Is That Insight?
That They Need To Make Tawbah To Allah,
Turn Back To Allah Azzawajal, Repent To Allah
Subhanaw Taala, Do More Good Deeds, Try To
Expiate Those Evil Deeds By Doing Good And
So On And So Forth.
So This Is The Difference.
This Is What Allah Azzawajal Praises About These
People, Not That They Don'T Sin.
This Is A Big Misunderstanding That We Have
That If After Ramadan You Go Back Into
Sin, It Means Your Ramadan Was Wasted.
If You Made Hajj Or Umrah And You
Come Back And You Commit A Sin.
It'S Like Allah Didn'T Accept My Sins For
Me, My Hajj For Me Or My Umrah
For Me.
No, That'S Not The Meaning.
You Will Always Sin Because That Is Human
Nature, But You Will Sin Less The More
Good That You Do Because You'Re Fortifying
Yourself With Good With The Remembrance Of Allah.
So You Have Less And Less Opportunity To
Do Good.
Someone Is Always Or Constantly In The Masjid
Praying, Someone Is Always Reading Quran, Seeking Knowledge,
Surrounding Themselves With Good People.
They Have Less And Less Time To Do
Haram And For Shaitaan To Find Ways To
Overpower Them, Number One And Number Two When
That Does Happen And It Is Less And
Less Then They Also Tadhakkaru, They Remember Faizahum
Mubsiroon And They Have Insight, They See The
Way Back To Allah Azzawajal.
Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala Says In Verse 202
For Those Who Are Mindful Of Allah, They
Don'T Have Taqwa, The Followers Of Devils Are
Led Relentlessly Into Error By Them And They
Cannot Stop.
That Is The Difference.
The First Of The Uliya Of Allah, They
Have Taqwa Of Allah Azzawajal.
If Shaitaan Overcomes Them, They Remember They Turn
Back To Allah Azzawajal.
In This Verse 202, These Are The Uliya
Of Shaitaan.
These Are The Helpers Of Shaitaan, The People
Of Shaitaan, With Them What Happens Is That
They Are Led Into Error And They Continue
To Do More And More Evil.
Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala Says In Verse 203
When You Do Not Bring Them A Fresh
Revelation, They Say But Can You Not Just
Ask For One?
Say I Merely Repeat What Is Revealed To
Me From My Lord.
This Revelation Brings You Insights From Your Lord
And Guidance And Mercy For Those Who Believe.
One Of The Things That Those Who Rejected
Allah Azzawajal And The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
Used To Do Is That They Would Demand
Revelation.
They Would Demand A Verse Be Revealed According
To Their Schedule, According To What They Wanted,
According To Their Desires And Their Whims And
They Would Say If Only You Brought To
Us A Revelation Say To Them That It
Is Not My Revelation To Bring But Rather
It Is From Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala.
He Is The One Who Decides For It
To Come, When To Come And That May
Be A Verse Of The Quran That Asking
For A Verse Of Allah Or Revelation Or
It May Be A Miracle, A Sign In
Terms Of We Want This Sign Here Right
Now.
That'S Something Which We Mentioned Before That The
Disbelievers Of The Prophets Used To Often Command
This, Often Demand I Want This Miracle And
I Want It In This Way And I
Want It At This Time At This Moment
And So Allah Azzawajal Says Say To Them
That This Is Something Which Allah Does As
He Pleases But This Revelation Brings To Insights
From Your Lord And A Guidance And Mercy
From Those Who For Those Who Believe And
That Is The Beauty Of The Book Of
Allah Azzawajal, Gives To Guidance, Gives To Light,
Gives To Mercy, Gives To Everything That That
Is Needed.
But In Order For You To Benefit From
That In Order For You To Understand That
Fully Then You Must Have The Etiquettes That
Are Needed In Order To Seek The Knowledge
And Learn It And From Those Etiquettes Is
That Which Allah Azzawajal Mentions In Verse 204
So Pay Attention And Listen Quietly When The
Quran Is Recited So That You May Be
Given Mercy.
When The Quran Is Being Recited Allah Azzawajal
Commands Us To Do Two Things.
Number One Is Istima' Which Is To Listen
Attentively And Insat Which Is To Remain Quiet
So That You Can Listen And Understand The
Meanings Of The Quran And You Can Comprehend
Them.
And So It Is Not From Befitting From
The Etiquettes Of The Quran That You Hear
And Listen To The Book Of Allah Subhanahu
Wa'Ta'Ala Whilst People Are Talking Whilst Is
A Destruction Whilst People Are Really Focusing On
The Book Of Allah Azzawajal, The Quran From
Its Etiquettes In Order For You To Benefit
To Be From Those People Who Can Take
From Its Signs And Its Lessons Is That
You Listen Attentively That You Respect That You
Remain Quiet So That You Can Understand The
Book Of Allah Azzawajal And Connect With It.
Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala Then Says In The
Final Two Verses Of The Surah Verse 205
And Remember Your Lord Inwardly In All Humility
And All Without Raising Your Voice In The
Mornings And In The Evenings Do Not Be
One Of The Heedless.
Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala Concludes The Surah By
Mentioning Those Things That Will Help A Person
To Come Closer To Allah Azzawajal To Be
Mindful Of Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala To Fortify
Themselves From The Traps Of Shaitan And That
Is You Should Always Be In The Remembrance
Of Allah Azzawajal, Always In Your Own Way.
Remember Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala Meaning Within Yourself
That You'Re Making The Dhikr Of Allah
Azzawajal That You'Re Mindful Of Allah Subhanahu
Wa'Ta'Ala And That You Should Do So
In Humility And In Awe In Your Heart
Upon Your Tongue In Your Limbs, You'Re
Constantly In The Remembrance Of Allah Azzawajal By
Being In Acts Of Obedience To Him Subhanahu
Wa'Ta'Ala And It Doesn'T Always Have To
Be In A Loud Voice.
And You Don'T Have To Raise Your Voice
Because You'Re Not Calling Upon As The
Prophet Said Salallahu Alaihe Wasalam One Who Is
Hard Of Hearing Or One Who Is Far
Away Absent From You, But Allah Hears Everything.
So You Don'T Need To Raise Your Voice
Over And Above What It Needs To Be
Rather You Speak In A Normal Voice By
Making The Dhikr Of Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala
By Remembering Allah Azzawajal In The Beginning Of
The Day, The Beginning Of The Evening, The
Beginning Of The Morning As The Sun Rises
The Beginning Of The Evening As The Sun
Sets Those Are The Times That You Often
Find In The Sunnah That Is Because Therefore
You Are Constantly In The Remembrance Of Allah
Azzawajal And Do Not Be From Amongst Those
Who Are Heedless In The Final Verse Of
The Surah Allah Azzawajal Concludes Surah Al-A
'Raf By Giving The Command In Verse 206
Inna Allatheena A'idha Rabbika La Yastakbeeruna An
Ibadatihi Wa Yusabbihuna Huwa Lahuu Yasjudoon Even Those
Who Live Those Who Live In The Presence
Of Your Lord Are Not Too Proud To
Worship Him.
They Glorify Him And Bow Down Before Him.
So Just As The Believers Do So In
The Dunya Then Likewise They Emulate In This
Way The Angels That Are With Allah Azzawajal,
The Angels Of Allah Subhanahu Wa'Ta'Ala Are
Not Too Proud, Not Too Arrogant To Worship
Allah Azzawajal Because They Know What Is Worthy
Of That What Is Worthy For Allah Azzawajal
Of Worship.
They Know What Is Befitting For Allah Subhanahu
Wa'Ta'Ala And That Is That You Worship
Him That You Serve Him That You Dedicate
Your Life And Sacrifice For Him Subhanahu Wa'Ta
'Ala They Praise Allah Azzawajal Also In The
Day Of The Night They Prostrate To Allah
Azzawajal Also And So Likewise The Believers Upon
The Earth They Remember Allah And They Praise
Allah And They Glorify Allah And They Worship
Allah Azzawajal By Making Ruku And Sujood And
With That We Come To The End Of
The Tafseer Of Surah Al-A'Raf And
Therefore The End Of Today'S Episode
