Allahumma salli wa Sunday my radical artdeco sadaqa Mohammed
was early he was so happy he married my bad Welcome to another
episode of Out of seed page by page inshallah Tada today we are
on page 124, which is in the seventh jewels of the Quran surah
two, either. In the previous episode we mentioned those verses
which Allah subhanaw taala gave to a number of important
instructions, a number of important rulings and commands in
our religion, from the most important of those that we covered
was the prohibition of alcohol and gambling, and how it prevents
people from the remembrance of Allah azza wa jal prevents them
from the salah. And it is a means by which shape and causes enmity
and hatred and jealousy to occur between people. Allah subhanaw
taala that also gave to us a number of verses concerning the
issue of some of the restrictions of a haram that is not permissible
for the person in the seat of a haram to hunt. And if they were to
do so, in that state of haram, then they would have to give an
explanation. And the explanation that Allah azza wa jal mentioned
to us in the Quran, is that they will sacrifice a like animal a
similar animal from the cattle livestock that people usually
Slaughter from sheeps goats, cows, camels, and so they look at the
animal that was hunted. And then they see and judge its equivalent
from livestock cattle, and they give that as a sacrifice for the
poor of to the poor of the harm of Mecca. And Allah azza wa jal says
that that determination that judgment of what is a similar
animal, what is it like for like animal, it's something that should
be done by to just knowledgeable people from amongst you. And as we
said, last week, the companions of the Allahu Allah which Marian, for
a number of those animals, they said that this animal equals a cow
or a camel or a sheep, and so on and so forth.
Today we continue from verse number 97. In surah, two either
and that is the statement of Allah subhanho wa Taala or all the real
law human a shape or regime. There are no law who can't imagine being
eaten haram at the yum and in nurse you will shall have haram I
will healthier
than he can eat animal and Allah Allah mammography. Semoga T one
man fill out the one Allah. When Allah hubbie coalition in Heini,
Allah has made the carrabba the Sacred House, a means of support
for people and the secret months, the animals were sacrificed and
the garlands, all of this, know that Allah has donated his
knowledge of all that is in the heavens and earth, and that he is
fully aware of all things after Allah subhanaw taala mentioned in
the previous verses that we covered in the last episode, some
of the issues with regards to haram and the Hajj and Umrah and
how there are certain restrictions in the city of Haram as we know.
So when you come into the street of haram, there are certain things
that is not allowed for you to do so long as you're in the city of
Salem. You can't remove hair, you can't trim nails, you can't apply
perfume, certain things that actually is with haram from those
things, as we mentioned was hunting. And Allah azza wa jal
said that so long as you remain in the seat of haram, then hunting is
something which is also restricted for you in that state. But once
you come out of the state of haram, then it is something which
is permissible. Allah subhanaw taala that because he's speaking
about these issues with regards to hunch, Allah azza wa jal speaks
about some of the practices of the Arabs with regards to Hajj and
Elijah dimensions that which is venerated with regards to the Hajj
and the pilgrimage, and those things that should be venerated,
and then Allah azza wa jal will go on in a few verses to speak about
some of the practices of the pagans and the way that they would
deal with this issue of sacrifices and so on.
Allah azza wa jal Miss 97 Therefore, he says,
John Allah one comma Tubbataha Rama pmle nas, Allah subhanaw
taala has made the Kaaba the secret house, a means of support
for people, meaning it is the place where they come
to Yama means a place of standing, it is a place of standing in terms
of their religious in the religious sense, because that is
where people come to ALLAH SubhanA data and to and to praise Him and
to worship Him and to glorify Him is something when they come in
order to you know, and now for the Muslims as well. They go there we
what we do is we go there and we worship Allah azza wa jal declares
the heat, we submit our
subseries merci Subhana wa Tada. But also it is PR manliness, and
it is a place of standing for people, because Allah azza wa jal
has made the city of Mecca and the karma in that region, a place of
trade and commerce and a place where people go and they exchange
their goods, and they benefit each other in terms of their dunya as
well. And that is something which existed before Islam. So even
though in the times of Jay Helia, the religious element had become
diluted and distorted and twisted and manipulated. And so it was no
longer upon the religion of Ibrahim Ali salatu salam, but the
other side of it was something which was still there. And that is
an in the worldly sense, the Kurdish benefited from the 1000s
of people that would come and annually to make pilgrimage in the
city of Mecca for mall of Arabia, and they would bring with them
their trade goods, they will bring with them their commerce, they
will bring with them the things that they would exchange and
bought and buy and sell. And you have therefore a commercial center
imagery in the city of Mecca, just like it is today after Islam.
today. It is the same thing. If you were to go that you would see
as everyone who has been to Mecca and Medina can attest to it is a
place not only of Riba and worship, but it's also a place of
commerce, so many businesses, so many shops, so many malls, and so
that has always been the way that the city of Mecca is and that is
one of the ways that Allah azza wa jal blesses the people of Mecca.
One of the ways that Allah honored the people of Makkah, is that
trade and commerce comes to them, then by virtue of them living in
the Haram, Allah azza wa jal has made life easy for them because in
the past, people would have to travel. Not everyone's going to
every city not every city is big or major or a trading post. But
Allah Azza Domaine sit in the city of Mecca one of those and so when
Ibrahim Ali Sinha made the I O Allah and provide for its
inhabitants, Allah azza wa jal responded. And Allah answered that
dua This is one of the ways in which it was answered.
Allah azza wa jal says and likewise from that which Allah
subhanaw taala has made sequined or the secret months a shepherd
haram, the secret months being the month of Shawwal, and Okada. I
will look at the Andrew Hijjah and Rajan these four months in Islamic
year the lunar Islamic calendar, or secret months, meaning to do
haram in them is worse to oppress in them to transgress in them to
do evil in them is worse than the rest of the months of the year
because Allah azza wa jal gave to them the sanctity as Allah
subhanaw taala mentions in the Quran Inshallah, when we come to
that verse, around Surah Tober, Allah azza wa jal will say that
the Allah Allah subhana let's please 12 months in the minha,
Arbitron forum from amongst them are four, there are secret. These
are also something Oh, this was another practice of the pre
Islamic Arabs, the Jahai, the Arabs that Islam confirmed, Islam
kept, they used to honor the sacred months, but they will twist
them or manipulate them, they will bring them forward or they will
delete them according to their whims and desires and according to
their interests, their benefits and their circumstances. And loss
of habitat is not the fixed in the religion of Allah subhanaw taala.
But the concept, the essence of it is something which Islam kept well
heavy, and likewise the sacrifice meaning that which you want to
slaughter in Mecca, in terms of your pilgrimage, that is something
which Allah azza wa jal also honored because Arabs is to honor
it as well. And that's why Allah Subhana Allah then says, and then
Garland's will collide. A garland is essentially a rosette type of
thing or something that is placed around the neck of the animal to
signify that it is going to be started in the Haram. That's what
the Arabs used to do. Because you can imagine if you're traveling
for hundreds of miles, hundreds of kilometers from one place to
another, you have a great deal of animals with you, you have the
ones that you're writing, ones that you will probably going to
slaughter along the way and eat from and then you have sacrifice
as well how are you going to distinguish this, what they used
to do is they put a garden around it, and that's they get something
like fiber, like the palm tree fiber, and they make a rosette a
ring or circle it and then they put it on the around the the the
neck of the animal that's going to be slaughtered for the sake of
Allah subhanaw taala that is all about it. And that is something
which the Arabs used to do before and it's something then which
Islam also confirmed the prophets of Allah while he was selling
mister in the hadith of Aisha, Radi Allahu Allah. And she said
that I used to make the guidance for the sacrifices of the prophets
of Allah when he was sent him with my own two hands. And then he
would place them on those animals and he will send them towards
Mecca with whoever was going for the pilgrimage of that particular
year. And so the prophets of Allah while he was selling them, and
affirmed this as a practice as well. And all of these are symbols
of honoring the region of Allah subhanaw taala. When you the Arabs
before Islam, if they saw the animal with the garden, they
wouldn't take it, they wouldn't steal it, they wouldn't harm it.
They might take other animals, they might harm other animals, but
they're not going to harm that one because they know that it's been
earmarked for the harm of Allah subhanaw taala and so these are
the different ways that they will honor the religion of Allah azza
wa jal in their time before Islam with order they shook and all of
their practices are idolatry. So when it comes to the Muslims, we
should be more we should be people who have a great honor for the
symbols of our religion, and for that which Allah azza wa jal has
given to it a sanctity
Daddy can you turn them on Allah? Yeah and Mo mafia semi Watty Well
my friend out of that is that you may know that Allah has knowledge
of all things that is in the heavens and the earth one Allah be
equally Sheena and him and Allah azza wa jal is fully aware of all
things from his knowledge dependent data, therefore is what
should be made sacred sacred, well as the sanctity attached to it,
which should be honored and respected in that way. Investment
imagine it Allah azza wa jal then continues and says Allah mu and
Allah Harsha de don't recall me will not Allah have off war on
Rakeem no to that Allah is Severe and punishment. Yeah, Most
Forgiving and most Merciful. Allah subhanaw taala gives to us these
two attributes of his subhanaw taala. On the one hand, the
attributes of mercy, of forgiveness of kindness or
generosity that you hope in Allah's mercy, that no matter how
much evil you may do, how many sins you may commit, the door of
Toba is always open for you. As we mentioned before in previous
episodes, the story of the man who killed 99 men, and then he made
the 100 and Allah azza wa jal forgive him when he meets sincere
Toba and repentance. That door of Toba is always open for the non
Muslim that Toba is to accept Islam and say that he that in
Allah and he wipes the slate clean. And for the Muslim it is
that they tend to Allah azza wa jal with acts of Toba, making dua
making stick for asking Allah for his forgiveness making Toba as
mentioned in the Sunnah of the prophets of Allah and He will send
them in that you make pray to records and so on. All of that is
to show you that that door is always open so long as your soul
is not about to leave the body and so long as the punishment on
Yeoman Yama is not about to descend upon you. That door is
always open, but at the same time, Allah azza wa jal is also shoddy
to the curb. Allah is Severe this punishment, Allah subhanaw taala
is someone who if people don't repent, they don't then turn back
to him. They don't accept his religion, Allah azza wa jal has
prepared for them the worst of punishments in the fire of *.
And so the believer therefore is between these two states of hope
and fear, they know that they can hope and Allah's agenda and His
mercy. And that makes it gives them hope gives them the ability
to do good gives them gives them the ability to be optimistic, but
at the same time, they know that Allah's punishment is also severe.
So they fear Him subhanaw taala. And they fear the Fire of *.
And they fear doing haram lest they be someone who is taken
towards that Punisher to Allah insurgency was from that. And
those two things hope and fear are described by the scholars as being
the two wings of the believer. If one wing is longer than the other,
or if one wing is clipped off, or there's only one, no wings or
whatever it may be, then there's always going to be problems in
terms of the way that that bird can fly. It won't be be able to
live the way that it's meant to live. But when you have two wings
that are proportionate, that have been beautifully shaped, that are
in balance, then that bird can soar to the greatest heights. And
that is the way that the believer is they always balance between
these two things between the hope of Allah azza wa jal and the fear
of Allah subhanho wa taala.
In verse Nightline, Allah azza wa jal
says murder was only ill Bella wala who we are under moment to be
doing our magic to mourn. The messengers duty is only to deliver
the message Allah knows what you reveal, and what it is that you
conceal. Allah subhanaw taala tells us therefore, that the
prophets of Allah while he was sending me is only here to tell
you the commands of Allah azza wa jal with regards to alcohol with
regards to gambling with regards to the heat with regards to the
restrictions of haram with regards to what is a sanctity, to attach
to it and so on. All of these, the prophets of Allah and he was
telling me his job is only to convey me and you as Muslims, we
know the station of Salah, we know the station of xicana is
important. He conveyed the message to us, whether we accept it now or
don't, whether we apply it or don't, whether we live in
accordance with those instructions or not. That is between us and
Allah subhanaw taala But Allah's Allah's Messenger sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam fulfilled his duty, he conveyed the message, and
he did as he was commanded by Allah azza wa jal, and Allah knows
Allahu Allah mama to do our magic Timon Allah knows that which you
reveal and that which you conceal. In verse 100, Allah subhanaw taala
tells us colors that will cubby through work for you boo alo Jabba
teta Salatin for me for talkin La Jolla only let them to flee one,
sale prophets of Allah while he was selling them evil, cannot be
likened to good or bad cannot be likened to good. Though you may be
dazzled by how abundant abundant the bad is, be mindful of Allah
for people of understanding so that you may prosper.
Allah subhanaw taala says and this is something which we know using
an intellectual proof that we understand that which is filthy
and impure can never be equal to what is pure, that which is good,
can never be equal to that which is bad. And so therefore, likewise
that which is righteous cannot be the same as that which is sinful.
And Eman cannot be the same as disbelief and loving and following
and believing in the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam cannot
be equal to rejecting the prophets of Allah wa
Muslim and believing in the Quran and reading it and following it
and memorize it and understanding it cannot be the same as
disbelieving in it and rejecting it. So we can see therefore, that
are opposite in this dunya purity and impurity are not the same. You
come to a glass of water and it's pure you drink from it, but you
come to one and it's full of impurities, it's full of things
that you don't like that it's not pleasant to see or to smell or to
taste, you wouldn't stay away from that, that's not going to be
something that you drink. So I'm going to be something that you
that you desire. And so therefore, these two things are known to
every human that they are not equal, then likewise, other things
cannot be equal as well in terms of the resistance. Well, no
algebra, Taka throttle, Habib, even if it is something which may
be abundant, or you will be amazed by how abundant areas, for
example, sometimes, because we're speaking about the metaphorical
impurities as well, not just the physical ones. So Eman and
disbelief. The believer may look at the disbelief and they may
think that this person just is enjoying life, does what he wants,
can say what he wants, doesn't have to hold him as our own
software can't do anything or anyone does as he pleases and just
leaves this life in pure enjoyment and pleasure that's abundant that
you see. But that doesn't mean that it's good doesn't mean that
it's equal to the pessimists ie man and righteous deeds and What's
your philosophy final data, you have a person who has wealth that
is halal, that they worked for in a halal way they earned a halal
way the spending in a halal way. And then you have someone who was
haram wealth, and they spending it in Haram and upon haram and then
enjoying life and they're spending it whatever they want dogma caring
for anything, not giving any charity, not looking at the rights
of any person in terms of their wealth. And you see that that's
abundant, especially being given so much and there are many people
like that. That doesn't mean that the equal and so the Muslim has to
look through the lens of the Sharia, you have to look through
the lens of the Quran and the Sunnah and what Allah azza wa jal
loves and is pleased with and when you see that when you see
something through that lens, then it becomes clear to you that Allah
azza wa jal concludes this first by saying, for Allah, yeah, it
will Bab be mindful of Allah or people of understanding, Lila come
to flee home that you may prosper. And look at how Allah subhanaw
taala addresses us in this lesson says, people have an
understanding. Because if you don't have understanding, you
don't have appreciation of this issue, where you're going to do is
you want to look at the situation where the person who has very
little work because they diligent in terms of being halal, they're
going to leave certain things because it's got a question mark
on it, they're going to leave certain things because it's a gray
area, because they want their wealth and in the provision and
the nourishment and the clothing to be from halal. And then on the
other side, you have the person who doesn't care. By hook or by
crook, they're going to take that wealth and they're going to spend
it. So just as they earn by haram they spend a part haram whereas
the first one isn't only diligent in terms of the read of the urn,
but the diligent the way that these spent knowing that which
Allah is as diligent as peacetrees, and that which he
doesn't, please, person will look at the situation and they would if
they don't have the correct lens on the correct glasses, they will
look at the second person, the one who's earning haram spending and
haram and they would favor that one. They will say that's the one
that's been blessed. That's the one that's been honored, as Elijah
would tell us later on when it comes to sort of fossils in the
story of our room, and the wealth that he was given and how some
people looked at him and they said, finally we had waffler
cartoon for him, you will rich and minting it like cartoon. And then
on the other hand, you had the believers who looked at it and
they said, that's a test from Allah subhanaw taala. That there
that's a test for this man. Because this man is only doing
that which Allah is displeased with. He's using that wealth and
it's corrupting him. And so the person who has the correct lens on
we'll look at that first person who's poor, maybe or poor or not
necessarily Papa is poor, or is living within his means. And he's
earning Khaled and doing heroin and spending and heroin. The
believers the one who looks at that person and say mashallah, and
nice to see from Allah's punishment Inshallah, at least
this person can stand before Allah azza wa jal and say Oh Allah, I
did my best to the best of my ability to earn halal and to
spread haram. And so the two are not are not equal. So feel Allah
azza wa jal if you have understanding, so that you may
gain success in verse 101, Allah subhanaw taala then tells us Yeah,
a un levena Amanullah and we're Anisha
together come come we're in this and we're unhappy in a euro zone
or an OCT della calm Avila who and her hola hola fooled on Haleem are
you who believed in Alaska but matters which if made known to you
might make things difficult for you. If you ask about the monster
Quran has been revealed, they will be made known to you for Allah has
kept silent about them, Allah is Most forgiving and forbearing.
Allah subhana data in this verse gives an instruction to the
believers primarily at the time of the Prophet salallahu alayhi salam
but as a general ruling for every Muslim, and that is the you should
be careful about what you ask for in the time of revelation in the
time of the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam, they should be
mindful of the questions that they asked because as a result of
revelation may come because of the prophets of Allah when Islam was
asked the question he must respond, he must conveyed the
vision of Allah subhanaw taala and Allah azza wa jal has kept
Quiet on certain things, or a Rama or have mercy for you, so that you
don't need to place upon yourself a burden that is to break Tibet.
But if you ask and you speak and then that made that ruling may
harm you. Or you may ask a question that isn't about a
ruling, but its knowledge may not benefit you. It may harm like, for
example, the Hadith in Sahih, Muslim Hadith and so on the Allah
one where the man came and he said to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam, or messenger of Allah, whereas my father, my father died,
where is he? Where's his abode? Where's his final destination
going to be? In the Prophet SAW, Selim was asked the question. So
he looked at the men and he said, your father is in the fire. That
question doesn't help that man in any way doesn't doesn't make
anything easy for him does it doesn't give him any closure does
it make? And so Allah Azza was saying to the believers, be
careful what it is that you ask for. What other incident when the
man came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was speaking about Hajj. And so the
man asked our messenger of Allah every year, do we have to make
Hajj? Is it obligatory every year? Can you imagine if me and you
today, and all of the 1 billion plus Muslims had to go and perform
Hajj each and every single year because of the question of that
man. The Prophet said and looked at him and he said, If I had said
yes, then you'd have to do it. And you wouldn't be able to do so.
Because he knew some Allahu Allahu Salam even at that time, people
going to make Hajj every year. So then he said, leave me alone. If I
don't say anything, meaning the things that I had explicitly say,
understand from it, that it's okay you'll need to go and, and go and
start delving into these types of issues. Because if you ask,
especially once the Quran has been revealed, then that is something
which may, which may be something which which which revelation is
then revealed concerning it is made known to you. And it may make
things difficult for you. And we have given examples of this
already in Surah Baqarah, in the story of Musa Ali Salaam and the
story of the incident of the cow, and how when they were given the
instruction of sorting the cow, they kept asking excessive
questions, more details, more information, more attributes of
the cow more descriptions, and Allah azza wa jal just made it
more and more difficult upon them. And so therefore, the believers
told that which doesn't concern you don't mind yourself with it.
In our time, this is also something which is applicable.
It's applicable into in the way that we deal with one another,
there are certain things that you don't need to know about people's
businesses and their affairs, stay away from it. And even when it
comes to Islamic knowledge, there are certain things that you're not
ready for yet in the sense that you need to start with the
foundations and you build yourself up not that it's exclusive
knowledge. But there's a way that you seek knowledge. If you're
going to go and study science, you don't go and start studying
advanced physics. before you've even understood the basics of it.
You're not going to go and start studying advanced medicine and
surgery. You don't even know the basics of medicine. There is a way
that you learn and there's a way that you seek knowledge. And so
even Islam, there is a way that you should be doing things rather
than asking excessive questions in which you just confuse yourself or
you cause harm to yourself and to towards others. If Allah Allah
Allah, Allah azza wa jal said that Allah subhanaw taala has forgiven
you for certain things, meaning that Allah kept quiet about them.
And Allah azza wa jal if he keeps quiet about something our Lord and
our greeter it's not because he forgot subhanaw taala it's not
because of any forgetfulness, Allah is perfect subhanaw taala in
his knowledge, Allah has it in his perfect in all of his attributes,
but Allah kept quiet because Allah has really wanted to make a Rama
for the ummah.
And that is Allah Azza didn't says investments 102. But this mean
commonly come from elsewhere, when we had caffeine, before you some
people asked about things, and then ignored the answers. And
that's something which we know as we give the example of the story
of moose and the people of the cow and others, they would ask these
questions that Allah would tell them, and then they would ignore
it anyway. They wouldn't even do what Allah azza wa jal commanded.
And so therefore, the Muslim is told to be someone who doesn't
follow in the footsteps of those people who are just simply
argumentative, and there is no benefit in the excessive
questioning. The final verse on this page verse 403, Allah
subhanaw taala tells us Magi Allah Allah who mean the hero team when
as
a team when I will see in a team when a ham you want to Kin Lavina
Cafaro whatnot in Lavina. For all we have done and Allah He can walk
the room Leia in one, Allah did not Institute the dedication of
such things as by hearsay by will see low harm to idols, but the
disbelievers in written lies about Allah Most of them do not use
reason. So Allah azza wa jal have to mention to us those verses that
we said at the beginning of this episode, concerning sacrifice and
honoring the sacred rights of Allah azza wa jal from the being
the sacrificial animals, Allah subhanaw taala system they will
practices that the Arabs in the politics said that Allah didn't
sanction that Allah didn't legislate with regards to the
animals. So from amongst them is that they would have when Allah
azza wa jal calls the Bagheera. The hero is the animal that they
would take like the camel, and they would cut it slit its ears,
slit its ears, and then they will say that this animal, it is haram
for you to write, haram for you to work in the fields haram to you
for you to carry luggage upon. It is something which we have to
is dedicated to the gods it is free to roam. That is one of the
ways that they would honor their idols and the gods, or the cyber,
the cyber is the animal, whether it's a camel or a sheep, or an
aura, or a goat or cow. And they would say the same thing that this
animal Stan allowed for you to ride upon, not allowed for you to
eat, not allowed for you to use to carry my lead for you to use to
tell the EFF and so they would have these animals that they would
for one reason or another through the omens that they will see.
Because this animal gave birth to a certain child or a certain
failed female or male on successive occasions, or this
animal something happened, they would use these omens that they
would have these superstitions, and they would say, No, this
animal now is sacred, has to be dedicated to our idols that are
godlike, they will see that they will see those the animal that
Allah has mentioned in his restaurant, Allah didn't sanction
that will see that as the animal they used to give birth to
successive female children. So the success of female children, they
will see that as a sign of honor, or they will see that as a as an
omen, that therefore this animal should be something that shouldn't
be slaughtered. A child, a female calf, and then another one and
then another 123 occasions, they will say this animal now is haram
for us to eat and so on. And the ham is similar, similar to that as
well. These are animals that they would use all of them according to
their superstitions, they would slit their ears and they would
mock them in a certain way and they would make them haram in
terms of using for any other purpose except to dedicate to the
gods Allah azza wa jal says, Well, I can live in a CAFO afternoon and
Allah will kill him. All of these are invented lies ascribed to
Allah azza wa jal by the disbelievers work through whom if
you don't and most of them do not see reason and within inshallah
Tada we come to the end of today's episode BarakAllahu freecom or
