00:00:45 --> 00:00:51
			One of the most famous companions one of the most illustrious companions of our profits in the long
run, he will sell them

00:00:52 --> 00:01:37
			an individual by the name of Abdullah bin Massoud radi Allahu Allahu Allah, one of the earliest
Muslims, and one of the greatest companions and one of the most knowledgeable of the companions of
scholar from amongst the companions, about the long line. He said, that Allah subhanho wa Taala.
Look, before creation, he looked at the hearts of all of humankind, from the time of Adam and Eve
Salaam, until the end of time, he looked at the hearts of all of the people that would ever come
into existence in this world. And he chose the best of those hearts, and the purest of those hearts
and the most honorable of those hearts to be His Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So the

00:01:37 --> 00:01:47
			Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is the best of people. And he's the most honorable
and the most noble of people, and he is the leader of all of mankind.

00:01:48 --> 00:02:22
			As an adult, said, then a lot of zoa gentle After choosing His Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
he chose for him. A number of people he looked at the hearts and he chose for him sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam, those hearts that will then support him in his mission, help him to deliver this message
of Islam. And those people those individuals were, his companions are the image married people like
Abubakar and people like Rama and people like us man, and people like Ali rhodiola

00:02:23 --> 00:03:06
			Allah azza wa jal handpick these people, to be the companions and supporters of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and alaric xojo chose them because he knew that the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam would go through so many issues, so many difficulties, so many hardships that he
would have to face at his time, hardships from the parish and hardships from the other non Muslims
and hardships from the Romans and the Persians. And the people that lived at that time. These people
will be opposed by their own families, some of them by their own parents, some of them by their own
children or their own spouses, others by their relatives, by the friends, by the society in the

00:03:06 --> 00:03:50
			community that they lived in, they would at times have to fight and engage in battle against these
people. And other times they would have to migrate, leave their families leave their wife leave
their businesses, everything that they've done, they would have to boycott all of this and go and
make migration go to a different land where they were strangers, not only strangers, but poor
strangers, people that had no connection to this new land. They would have to go through so much
just to uphold La ilaha illAllah Muhammad Rasul Allah, and so Allah azza wa jal chose these people,
because the mission that they had isn't any usual mission. It's not just something normal. It's not

00:03:50 --> 00:04:30
			something which me and you go through in our lives, and everyone faces difficulty, but the
difficulty that they would face would be of a different level. And in that time, for the vast
majority of them, they wouldn't see wealth. They wouldn't see conquests, they wouldn't see land upon
land falling into the realm of Islam. By the time the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam died, it
was only the Arabian Peninsula, only more or less modern day Saudi Arabia, that was in the confines
of the Muslim lands. Everything else was still a Muslim land, they were still waging wars and
battles with them. So they wouldn't see a lot of wealth. They wouldn't see a lot of money, they

00:04:30 --> 00:04:59
			wouldn't get fame, they wouldn't get any type of accolades. They wouldn't receive any type of
qualifications, they wouldn't win a prize. What would keep them and make them continue on this
journey? was the man in a loss of Hannah wattana the strength of their connection with Allah, that
they would sacrifice everything for the sake of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we speak
about Ramadan hottub rhodiola one in this lecture, one man from amongst those

00:05:00 --> 00:05:43
			Many men, and even though he was the second greatest Companion of the Prophet salallahu, Alayhi,
wasallam, after Abu Bakar, they lived in that society with many similar individuals, people who all
had this mindset, and they all sacrificed in their own way, some of them more, some of them less in
their own way they sacrificed for this religion. We speak about Omar, Immanuel hapa brought the
alarm when was the time of the conquest of Mecca, to show how much he sacrificed everything to
social how much he would have sacrificed as well, even though he sacrificed so much how much more he
was willing to sacrifice in the conquest of Makkah. When the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:05:43 --> 00:06:28
			accepted the Islam of Abu sufian, Abu sufian, the leader of boorish Abu sufian, his arch enemy for
over a decade, I will sofian, the person that fought against the Muslims in battle, and Ohio, and in
the trench, and in so many other battles, the arch enemy of Islam at that time, the leader of Polish
at the time of the conquest of Mecca, Abu sufian, accepted Islam and he accepted Islam. He came
along with an Abbas Ibn Abdul McCallum, the uncle of our profits on the long run, he will sell them
what are the long run, and they entered upon the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and Abu sufian
wanted to accept Islam. But before he could accept Islam, Rama, Deborah hottub, came, and he said, O

00:06:28 --> 00:07:08
			Messenger of Allah, this is the enemy of Allah, let me strike off his neck, this man who's harmed so
many Muslims, who's tortured and persecuted so many Muslims, so many people have died because of
this individual, because of his war against Islam and the Muslims. Let me take care of this man or
messenger of Allah. And he continued to say so until a bass or bass, the uncle of the profits on a
long word, he will sell them said, Omar, you're only saying this because he's not from your tribe,
where he from your tribe, you would have supported him. And Abu sufian was the father in law of the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:07:09 --> 00:07:26
			And so Omar Abdullah hottub and he heard the statement from Al Abbas he said, Oh abas By Allah, the
day that you accepted Islam was more beloved to me than if my own father had accepted Islam. His
father died as a non Muslim.

00:07:27 --> 00:08:08
			But look at how much His love is for the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam and how much precedence
he gives to that love that Omar is saying, the fact that you as an uncle of the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam the fact that you accepted Islam, and I know that Allah Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam loves you, and He wants you to accept Islam more than anyone else, because of your
position and your relationship to him. The day that you're accepted, Islam was more beloved to me
than if my own father had accepted Islam. This was the extent to which they would have sacrificed
had they been called upon to do so. And this is what made them successful, great individuals. This

00:08:08 --> 00:08:21
			is what made them stand head and shoulders above everyone else. A man that is an abomination. In
one, the likes of Abu Bakr and Omar and his great companions about profits in the long run, he will
send them

00:08:24 --> 00:08:27
			throughout his whole life from the moment that he accepted Islam.

00:08:28 --> 00:09:14
			The moment that he accepted Islam, and his Islam was due to that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam made the Roman law guide the two cameras from which of the two cameras you love best tied
into Islam. One was Mr. Ebner and the other was Mr. Ibrahim Abu Jamal. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam is derived from these two men, because both of them were strong individuals, people who
were strong and powerful, and they had a status amongst the parish, whichever one you love more over
law abiding to Islam. So a lot chose that Roma rhodiola one should accept Islam. And from that
moment onwards, until the very end of his life, his life was dedicated to the service of Islam, to

00:09:14 --> 00:09:56
			serving the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam and to serve in the religion. He was a man who loved
and cared about this religion. And even though everyone knows that the personality of Omar was
harsh, he had a tough personality. He wasn't someone that you will could easily approach he was
someone who was tough in his personality, harsh known for his harshness, known for his strictness,
for the long run. But even so, when it came to the oma and the welfare of the oma and the welfare of
the Muslims, he was a man who was soft at heart. And that's why even Abu Bakr radi Allahu Allah,
appointed to be the next halifa he gathered the major companions, the likes of postman and Ali

00:09:56 --> 00:10:00
			Abdullah bin antologia, the major committee

00:10:00 --> 00:10:42
			pinions and he wanted to ask the opinion to seek their counsel, who do you think should be the next
halifa after me, and he proposed to them, that it should be Roman. And so the likes of Horace Mann
and Ali Abdullah family been openly accepted. And they said, there's no one better amongst us than
among some of them said, what he conceals in his heart is far better than what he shows us. Meaning
is even better than what we know of him, but perhaps even obey the law. One of the major companions
of the law one, one of the 10, that was promised Paradise by our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam, he said, Oh amuro, meaning a leader of the Muslims of belief of the Prophet sallallahu

00:10:42 --> 00:11:09
			alayhi wa sallam, how will you respond in front of Allah Norman piano? When he asks you, who did you
leave the affairs of the Muslims to and you reply, I left it to Rama, and you know, the personality
of armor, you know, the character of armor, you know, the way your armor is. And so Abu Bakar said,
otalgia, I will say to a lot of normal tiama, that By Allah, I knew of no one better at that time
than normal.

00:11:10 --> 00:11:56
			And so why appointed him. And then he went on to say, you think that he is strict, that is harsh
that his personality is too tough, but he's only like this, because he thinks I am too soft. I mean,
Abu Bakr was known to be gentle, and kind and merciful. He thinks that I am too soft, and he doesn't
want anyone taking advantage of me as the halifa. And so he has this tough personality so that if a
person comes to Abu Bakar, they know that Omar is next to me. Omar is there, if they try to take
advantage Omar is next to me. But when he becomes Khalifa himself, you will find that he is soft and
gentle. And he has the well being of the Muslims at heart or the young man. And so he was appointed,

00:11:56 --> 00:12:09
			or the Allahu Allahu Akbar. Now, Omar Abdullah grew up, and you grew up in a difficult environment.
His father was a rough and tough man. Someone was harsh and strict.

00:12:10 --> 00:12:54
			For the long run, during his khilafah, he wants to send it the minbar and he was speaking to the
Muslims. And he said, By Allah, I remember a time when I was a young boy in the valleys of Mecca,
and I used to be a shepherd for the camels and the sheep of my father and my Auntie's. And all I
would get after a hard long day's work was a handful of dates in return. This was, how he lived,
this was how he grew up. And so for the long run, he said to me, after he came down from the member,
he said, Oh Amir, meaning Oh, leader of the Muslims, today, you've done no favors for yourself. If
you wanted to humiliate yourself, you should have done so privately. What was the benefit of

00:12:54 --> 00:13:38
			mentioning this to all of the Muslims? Now you were a lowly Shepherd once upon a time. And so, Tom
said, of the rock band, if anyone other than you had said this to me, I would have made an example
of them. But indeed, my son was saying to me, that Omar today, there is no one stronger, more
powerful, more mightier than you on the face of the earth. You are the belief of the Muslims, you've
conquered the Romans, you've conquered the Persians, the Muslim Empire has expanded to a rate that's
never been seen before. There is no one stronger, more powerful than you. And so you set up the man,
for I wanted to humble myself. I didn't want my soul to become arrogant and proud. I wanted to

00:13:38 --> 00:14:06
			humble and humiliate myself, to show myself that there was a time when I was no one when I was a
nobody. And it is through this religion and Allah subhanho wa Taala, that I have reached the status.
Imagine a man raft, everything he's been through, when he reaches the pinnacle of his career and his
life, that he still has this humility and this humbleness, that he still remembers where he came
from. Imagine such an individual

00:14:08 --> 00:14:50
			rhodiola one was known for loving the truth, even in Jamelia, even before Islam, and even though he
was rough and tough, he was a man who respected the truth when he saw it. The first time that some
of the scholars say that Islam entered into his heart was when many of the Muslims before Islam at
the time of the migration to Abyssinia when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam allowed some of
the Muslims to migrate to Ethiopia, modern day Ethiopia Abbey senior when the persecution of the
parish became too much. He allowed them to migrate. So Omar at that time was a non Muslim, and he
was known to beat and persecute the Muslims. He was known that if he came into contact with the

00:14:50 --> 00:14:59
			Muslim, he would beat them severely. So he came across this woman and she was preparing to migrate
to Abyssinia and when she

00:15:00 --> 00:15:32
			So him and her husband at that time had gone to settle some of his affairs before they left. When
she saw him, she expected that she would be beaten, or at least ridiculed or persecuted in some way,
shape or form. But when Ramadan Nakata came to her, and he wasn't a Muslim, and he asked her what
she was going to do, should we pray that I'm going to leave, I'm leaving my home, I'm abandoning my
family, I'm leaving everything that I know. And I'm migrating to a foreign land, simply because you
won't allow me to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:15:33 --> 00:16:17
			And in return, she expected or more to be strict to herter to hammer to beat her to do whatever he
was known to do. But instead, he smiled at her. And he said to her, may Allah accompany you in your
travels? May Allah keep you safe on your journey? She was amazed. Is this the same woman? Is this
the same woman that I that everyone knows in this community? And so then at that point, she thought
to herself, that perhaps there is some change in armor, maybe something has entered into his heart
that soften him up towards the Muslims. And so when her husband came back, she replayed this
incident to him. This is what happened. Mr. Kane, he asked this question, and this is what he did in

00:16:17 --> 00:17:01
			return. So a husband said to her, I think that you think that Omar will become Muslim? She said yes,
he replied By Allah, his donkeys will become Muslim before he does. This was how much he didn't
think that he would become a Muslim. How wild he thought this thought was that even the donkey's
will become Muslim before Omar will become a Muslim. This was how harsh This was how much enmity he
had toward Islam. And this was how much people knew about his enmity as well. But Allah subhanho wa
Taala decreed that he would enter into Islam. Not only would he enter into Islam, but he would
become one of the greatest companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, one of the

00:17:01 --> 00:17:42
			greatest, most knowledgeable companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, throughout his
life from that very moment that he accepted Islam throughout the life of the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam, then throughout the reign of Abu Bakr, radi Allahu Allah, and then throughout his
own reign, rhodiola one, a man known for helping the Ummah, a man known for having the welfare of
the Ummah, at the forefront at all times, whatever he did, he did for the welfare of the ummah. And
he wasn't Amanda was afraid to take new steps. At that time when he became the halifa. The Muslim
Empire was relatively new, the Muslim state didn't have many things like administrative policies,

00:17:42 --> 00:18:26
			they didn't have certain things that were in place that you have in a normal state. They had nothing
but to Amaro the alarm, and at that time, he was the one who established all of this. He wasn't
afraid to start something new. He wasn't afraid to help the Muslims in a way that wasn't done
before. A man that was a true pioneer. He changed the face of the way that the Muslims were. He was
the one that appointed judges. He was the one that gave people salaries, he was the one that started
social welfare and benefits for the Muslims at that time, over 1400 years ago, or the Allahu anhu or
ba, ba ba, ba, ba, ba and became the halifa Amaro de la one came out one day in the city of Medina.

00:18:27 --> 00:19:07
			And he found that a woman came to me she was looking for the halifa for Abu Bakar Prabhupada was
nowhere to be found. He said, Let's go to his houses probably at home. They went to his house. He
wasn't there. He said, Okay, let's go to the masjid maybes in the masjid. They went to the masjid.
He's not there. With Okay, let's go to his farm, maybe his or his farm, go to this farm. He's not
there. This is the new halifa just after the death of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. The
Muslims have so many issues, and the halifa is nowhere to be found. I don't even know where the
halifa is. And so Amara be a loved one as someone and they said we saw him in the marketplace. So

00:19:07 --> 00:19:50
			the halifa in the marketplace. So Omar went to the marketplace and he finds Abubakar in the
marketplace. Buying and selling is a trader. That was his profession. He was a trader, businessman.
He's in the marketplace Buying and selling. So he said to him, oh, Abu Bakar the Muslims are looking
for you. They have their issues, they have their needs that need to be fulfilled. Everyone's looking
for the halifa under Felicia is busy in the marketplace Buying and selling. He said to Mr. Omar, I
have a family I have needs. I need money. I need to look after the needs of my family. Where do you
expect me to meet these needs from have to work. And so I'm rhodiola one who said that's a fair

00:19:50 --> 00:19:59
			point. Come back and we as the Muslims will give you as a wage from the treasury of the Muslims. We
will appoint for you a wage. We will give you a

00:20:00 --> 00:20:44
			Ah, so aboubaker agreed. And so after a few days again, I left his house. And again he was looking
for Abubakar and again, he was nowhere to be found. Not in the masjid, not at home, nor his farm,
nowhere to be seen, until finally he finds him back in the marketplace. He says T Mobile Obamacare,
we gave you a wage, we fulfilled your needs. And now you're still here Buying and selling. So Abu
Bakr said, rhodiola is not enough for me and my family. What you gave me isn't sufficient. I'm not
going to how humble the companions were. They wouldn't ask for more money than in demand. The wage
is too humble to ask. But he said it's not enough. And so Omar said, Come back, and we will increase

00:20:44 --> 00:21:26
			your wage. And so I'm already a long run from the very beginning of the hill of Abu Bakar. He was
instrumental even in the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he was one of the two
people that will always constantly cancel. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would constantly
seek their counsel, Abu Bakr and Omar always on every issue. When they would go, they would go
together when they would sit, they would sit together, Abubakar rhodiola, who relied on Amaro de la
manga, as well in this way. And the close connection that they had, is to such an extent that it's
difficult to speak about the life of Abu Bakar without mentioning Oman, or the life of Amar without

00:21:26 --> 00:22:05
			mentioning Abu Bakar. Abu Bakr rhodiola was one sitting in Medina, and a group of people came a
group of Muslims came, and they came to Medina, and they came from a different land, they came from
a faraway land. And they came and they asked Abu Bakar, that they should have a certain amount of
wealth from the treasury of the Muslims. They wanted money from the halifa. And sababa told them to
go to a certain part of Medina and to take the livestock that was there, the camels, the sheep, the
cows, whatever is there, you can take it. And so these people will new Muslims, and what the
prophets Allah, what are they He will send them with sometimes due to the new Muslims is that he

00:22:05 --> 00:22:29
			would help them out financially, he would give them some support. And so abubaker said, okay, as
well, when these people will leaving, when they were leaving, they came across Irma. And we said to
them, where are you going? The reply that Abubakar has given us all of this to take with us back
home. So we're going to take it. He said, No, you're not. You can't take a single thing. I won't
allow it.

00:22:30 --> 00:23:05
			They said the halifa has given us permission. This is the support that he's giving us. He said no.
He said this is something which we used to do before. We don't do it anymore. not giving you any
support. You can't take anything. None of it belongs to you. And so they went back to Abu Bakr and
they complained about Omar and Omar came with them as well. They said you want the relief of the
Muslims. And you told us we could take this one. This man Omar, who's not a believer now says that
we can't. So Abu Bakr said, if he says no, then it's a no.

00:23:06 --> 00:23:51
			If Omar says no, it's a no. So they said to him, who's the halifa you owe him? And Abu Bakr said, By
Allah, how do you want to be halifa he could have been so happy he wanted to be halifa he could have
been so because when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam died, and Abu Bakr came along with Abu
Zubaydah and Omar to the answer, and he was speaking about the halifa Abu Bakr said, choose one of
these two men to be your halifa either Omar, Abu Zubaydah. soboba, is saying if he wanted to be the
halifa, he could have stepped up and said, Yes, I'll be the halifa and he would have become the
Khalifa. But instead, Omar said no, there is no one more worthy than Abu Bakar. And then the Muslims

00:23:51 --> 00:24:32
			gave the pledge to Abu Bakar rhodiola. But it shows you the measure of the man. And it shows you as
well that he wasn't afraid. He wasn't afraid to do something that was unpopular, if he thought that
it was the truth, if he thought that it was in the interest of Islam and the Muslims. And that's why
when he became halifa, one of the first things that he did was that a removed holiday bundle,
worried rhodiola one solid ignore Well, he was the commander, the military commander of the Muslim
armies, the person who was one of the most instrumental people after the permission of Allah, in
defeating the Roman and the Persian Empire, the Byzantine Empire and the and the Persian Empire. And

00:24:32 --> 00:24:59
			he was a great military tactician, everyone knows this, but he was also a person of a strong
personality, very strong personality. And he would do things that sometimes Omar wouldn't approve
of, and he would often say to Abu Bakar, you should remove this man, replace him with someone else,
but aboubaker would tolerate his personality because of his military genius. But when Rama rhodiola
one became the Khalifa he removed and he placed

00:25:00 --> 00:25:43
			or beta, another famous companion in his place. The Muslims became upset. Some of them complained to
him about the online one. How can you remove him after he's done so much? So remember the alarm when
you said that the people have become so attached to holiday imminent worried that when finally the
blue elite is in the army, they think they will win. And when Khalid isn't in the army, they think
they will lose. So I want to remove him from the army, and place someone else in his place to show
them that victory and defeat is in the hands of Allah alone, and not in the hands of Holland. And he
removed him, and he placed about Aveda, and the Muslims continued to win. And they had many more

00:25:43 --> 00:26:27
			victories than conquests. But look at how Mr. rhodiola one had this foresight for the ummah. He had
this thing that the Muslims should only be attached to Allah, not attached to personalities, not
attached to people, not attached to anyone, even a famous companion, but that the people now have
become so attached to harlot, they think that they win or they lose, because of his military genius,
because of the tactics that he employs the formation that he has in his battlefield. And so I want
them to know that it's not because of holidays, but it's because of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Even as
the periphery of the Muslims, his priority was always to establish the hip, always to show the

00:26:27 --> 00:27:09
			Muslims that they should follow the way of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam always to show
them that the interest and the Analyze in the interest and honor of Islam. And that's why when Omar
Abdullah when he went to a sham, he went to the area of Syria and Jordan and Palestine, and he went
to receive the keys to the city of Palestine and obey the rhodiola and in the Muslim army were
already there. Amara, the Allahu anhu, left Medina, and he left along with him was his servant. And
as they were traveling to Medina, they would take turns riding the beast riding the camel, sometimes
rumble would walk, and his servant would ride. Sometimes they would swap he would ride and his

00:27:09 --> 00:27:54
			servant would walk. And so it just so happened that when they arrived at Palestine, when they
arrived at the area, it was the seventh tend to write, and it was almost turned to walk. And so he
continued walking, and I will obey the the leader of the army, the commander, he came out to meet
Mr. robiola one. And he met him and he found that he was walking and his servant is riding on a
camera. And as they walk in, they came across a puddle of water. And so Ramadi Allahu and bent down.
He took off his sandal, he lifted up his clothes, and he began to wait in the puddle began to walk
through the muddy water. And so I will obey the law when he saw him doing this. And he said, a

00:27:54 --> 00:28:13
			mirror meaning I don't like that the leaders of this land, that the priests, the leaders, the
military commanders, that these people should see you in such a state. Your servant is writing,
you're walking, you're holding a sandals in your hand, you've lifted your clothes up, and you're
walking through a puddle.

00:28:14 --> 00:28:57
			And so I'm one of the one who said our VEDA. If anyone other than you had said this, I would have
made an example of him. A lot a zoologist gave us honor and might through Islam. So whenever we seek
dishonor in other than Islam, then Allah will humiliate us. Allah will humiliate us. Look at how
strong his attachment was to the son of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam at his religion of
Islam, not worried about what people think, not worried about materialism or worried about money. In
fact, when he became fully fund he said to him, what do you want as your wage? What's your wage?
What do you what kind of money do you want? How much do you want to be paid? He said, I want to

00:28:57 --> 00:29:21
			Singler riding a camel, upon which I can travel to Mecca for Hajj and Umrah and I want two sets of
clothes, one in the winter, one in the summer. And that's why sometimes in the German football, he
would come wearing wet clothes, because he just watched those same clothes that he had. He's only
got two pairs, one in the summer, one in the winter. And I want enough food for me and my family.

00:29:23 --> 00:29:53
			And I want a share of what every other Muslim gets meaning when the spoils of war come just as every
Muslim is entitled to a share. I want to share as well. This was a This was his thing as the King,
the Emperor, the halifa, whatever you want to call him the leader of the most powerful one of the
most powerful states at that time, an animal two pairs of clothes in a food for me and my family.
This was his attachment to the dunya although the alarm rang

00:29:54 --> 00:29:58
			the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned in a famous Hadith

00:29:59 --> 00:29:59
			that

00:30:00 --> 00:30:45
			would come where fitten would become prevalent, tribalism problems and issues of hardships, they
would become prevalent in the Muslim ummah. And there is a gate or door once it is breached, then it
will never be shut again. Once it is breached, that door is broken, it will never be shot again. And
that door is the door that will lead to problems and fit and and trials. Some of the companions
commented on this hadith. And they said that this door this gate was Rama rhodiola one because with
his death and his assassination, it opened, it's opened up so many trials for the Muslims and since
that time until today, trials have come upon the Muslim ummah. But this was how strong and

00:30:45 --> 00:31:28
			influential he was in Islam, that he was the gate that stopped all of these fitten from coming,
other companions will comment and they would say that amarante Allah one possesses nine tenths of
the knowledge of Islam, nine tenths of knowledge, or within this one man rhodiola one, even though
he's not famous as a scholar amongst the companions, or Mufti amongst the companions, but he was
known amongst the companions at that time to be very, very knowledgeable nine tenths of knowledge or
within this one man. He was what the alarm and the person strongly attached to the son of the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, when Abu Salah Chateau de la Han came one day to the house of

00:31:28 --> 00:32:00
			Rama, and he knocked on his door once and he received no response. Enough twice he received no
response in up three times. And upon hearing no response he was leaving, he left. Omar came out and
he said to him, Why are you leaving? He said, because I locked three times I found no response and
I'm leaving. This is the Sunnah. He said Who told you it's the Sunnah Abu Musashi, he said I heard
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say that when you come you seek permission three times. If
you're granted permission you enter otherwise we leave.

00:32:02 --> 00:32:44
			Amaro, the Allahu anhu said to him by Allah, you will bring someone else who will witness the
statement, or I will make an example of Naboo Musashi was a famous companion, one of the most
prolific narrators of Hadith 1000s of a hadith and narrated by this companion, Robbie a loved one.
But Omar said this to him. And he told him that if you don't bring someone to support this Hadith, I
will make an example of you, he became afraid. And so he went around to the companions asking them
who else heard the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say this statement, trying to find a witness
someone to support his narration until he found one of the companions who said, Yes, I heard this

00:32:44 --> 00:33:24
			also from the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam. So he bought him to armor and armor hurt him. And
he said, Oh, Abu Musa, I didn't mean to imply that I thought you were a liar. I didn't think that
you were a liar. But I wanted to show the Muslims that they shouldn't think that the reading from
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is something which is a joke, that anyone can just come and
see what they like. But I would hold them to account if they didn't do it properly. If they didn't
report authentically from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. This was how Romano the Allahu
anhu was, but even though this was the way that he was, he will still a man known for his piety,

00:33:25 --> 00:34:10
			known for his fear of Allah subhanho wa Taala, known for his abstinence from the dunya, known for
his humbleness and his humility. He was walking once with Saudi Arabia walk past the unlock one,
another famous companion, one of the 10 that was promised paradise. They were working on an old
woman came. And she said to Omar, Omar, you haven't given me my rights. And she began to complain to
him. She was poor, she was needy, she began to complain to him, tell him about everything that she
had problems with. And as Emma was listening to this old poor woman complained, he began to cry. And
he began to cry and cry until he was crying profusely. And the woman continued, even though her

00:34:10 --> 00:34:55
			mother is crying in front of her, she continued, and so sad to be what was said to the woman Enough,
enough, don't you see what you've done to him? And so I'm one of the alumni who said to sad, don't
stop her. For indeed, a lot above the seven heavens, here's her complaint. So it's only fitting that
I should hear them upon the this was, how humble he was, that an old woman could approach him and
chastise him and rebuke him publicly, and he would stand there and he would take it. In another
incident. A man came during the time of the alarm and to the house of armor, and he wanted to
complain about his wife. The man wanted to complain that his wife would raise her voice against him,

00:34:55 --> 00:34:59
			that she would speak to him in an improper tone. So when it came to the house of commons,

00:35:00 --> 00:35:20
			He was about to knock. He found that he could hear within the house of Omar rhodiola. One that the
wife of Omar was doing exactly the same thing to Omar. Omar, the great man, the warrior, the
courageous, the brave man, the one that everyone else would be scared of his wife was speaking so
loudly that he could hear a voice outside the house.

00:35:21 --> 00:35:30
			And so he left and he turned away. And one of the Allahu saw him leaving, he said, Where are you
going? Why did you come? He said, Oh, amuro meanie and I had an issue that's been resolved.

00:35:32 --> 00:35:59
			He said, What's your issue? How was it resolved? He said, I came to complain about my wife, speaking
to me in an improper way. But I came to your house and I find that your wife does the same thing. So
I thought to myself, if this is the wife of the leader of the Muslims than more about me, and so I'm
gonna do a lot more and you smiled. And he said to him, that she cooks my food, she washes my
clothes, and she helps me with my affairs. So I am patient in this affair.

00:36:00 --> 00:36:41
			Look at the measure of this man rhodiola one, even with this harsh, tough personality, that others
would see him and they would become scared as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that even
shavon Satan when he sees him walking down the road, he takes another road trip and is afraid of
him. But with his own wife, he has this type of character. This is the way that he deals with his
wife radi Allahu Allahu Akbar. There are many generations, many stories, many incidents like this
that showed the life of Monrovia long run. And it was difficult to enumerate them even into a whole
conference about this man, even into a series of lectures and conferences, because there is so much

00:36:41 --> 00:37:26
			to speak about and what he did and how he was not the Allahu Allahu Akbar. But I want to mention to
you, the time towards the end of his life, what are the long run around the year 23. He Amaro, the
Allahu anhu saw that the Muslims had conquered many lands, and many of them are some of them had
become attached to materialism. And the Muslims had become very wealthy, and he didn't like the way
that the Muslims are responding. And so he became upset. And so he went one year for Hajj, the 23rd
year of the hedgerow he went for Hajj, and he made to Allah subhana wa Taala daruwalla I have become
weak, and I have become old and no longer Am I able to lead this community of Muslims. So Allah

00:37:26 --> 00:37:49
			allowed me to die, take my soul away and allow me to be martyred within the city of Medina. Some of
the companions when they heard his duality said, Medina is a Muslim of citizens Muslim land, how
will you be martyred? There's no fighting. There's no battles there. There's no war there. How can
you be martyred in the middle of the capital of the Muslim world?

00:37:50 --> 00:38:28
			Burma rhodiola one who made this and it was shortly after this time that he was assassinated within
the city of Medina, within the city of Medina rhodiola. One, as he was leaving Virgil pray One day,
he was stabbed by a number a number of times, a number of times. And from those wounds brought the
alarm rang, he passed away. On his deathbed people would come in to see him, and they would say to
amuro, meaning or leader of the Muslims, and he would say by a large day, I am not a leader. Today
on my deathbed, I am not a leader, rhodiola grandma. And then shortly after this, he passed away
rhodiola one.

00:38:29 --> 00:39:09
			And when he passed away earlier, the alarm rang, who came to see him, and he entered upon him and he
said, I heard so many times, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would say that I left with
Abu Bakr and Omar, and I came with Abu Bakr and Omar and I spoke to Abu Bakr and Omar, and I was
with Abu Bakr and Omar. And so today, Omar, you will go back to two companions, the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and Abu Bakar on the long run. This, I wouldn't say is the biography of
Rama, because it's not the biography. But it is a glimpse at the life of this great individual over
the long run. And it is really the duty of every single Muslim, to go back and to look at his life,

00:39:09 --> 00:39:51
			to read and study his biography. Because there are so many things that we should know from his life.
And he is one of the foremost role models that we as Muslims should have. But we as Muslims should
also be giving to our wives and our children and to our community. But the problem is because we
don't know about his life, we can't take him as a role model. And this is where we, collectively as
Muslims are falling short. It is our duty to go back and to look at his life to benefit from that
life to take lessons from him for the long run and the life that he had. And then to see where we as
a community and as Muslims are falling short and going wrong. May Allah subhanho wa Taala allow us

00:39:51 --> 00:39:59
			to go back to the Sunnah of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam implemented according to the
understanding of the companions of the Allahu anhu and may He resurrected

00:40:00 --> 00:40:04
			God was with our prophets on a lot while he was still him and his companions are numerous. The armor

00:40:06 --> 00:40:06
			was so long
