There is a very beautiful Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
in which he said that when Allah subhanho wa Taala first created paradise and he first created the hellfire.
He sent His Son
to go and look at each one.
And so he went to look at paradise and he came back to Allah Subhana Allah. And Allah asked him, What do you think of my paradise? And so jabril alehissalaam he responded, that Allah, I don't think that anyone will hear about paradise, except that he will enter it. And then he went to look at the fire. And he came back and Allah asked him, What do you think of my fire? And he replied, oh, well, I don't think that anyone will hear of the fire, except that they will flee from it, they will run away from it. Then a lot of Xhosa decreed that every single type of desire should surround paradise. So it should surround the fire. And every single type of hardship and difficulty should Saran
paradise. And then he said to jabril alehissalaam. Now go again, and look at each one. Look at paradise and the fire again. And so gibreel alayhis salam went to look at paradise, and he came back and Allah azza wa jal asked him now what do you think of my paradise? And jabril? Allah His Salam replied that I think that no one will enter this paradise because of the desires that surround it solely because of the difficulties and hardships that surround it. And then he went to look at the fire and he came back and asked him, What do you think of the fire? And he replied, that I fear that everyone will enter it, because of the desires the temptations that surround this fire of home.
And this is this life. This is the adornment of this dunya. This is the way this life has been made. It is filled with temptations, with seductions with adornments and purifications. So that people will be misled from the path of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And from one of those major temptations that each and every single one of us suffers from is this, for to this mindset that we are going to live forever, that we will be upon this earth forever. The way we live our lives, the way we go around this world, the way we interact with a large zoologist, and interact with other people. It's as if we're going to be here forever. It's as if we own this planet, that we're in control of our
own destiny, that we are the ones who will decide when we're ready to go in which way we're ready to go. And where we're going to go to. And a lot of xojo offered in the Quran speaks about these people. These people who think that they are going to live forever, and that even if they don't live forever, then Allah azza wa jal, even if there is a resurrection, Allah azzawajal will reward them immensely. And know that this is from the traps of shape on that a person thinks that they're going to live forever, or they live their lives thinking that they are going to live forever. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that the average age of my oma is between 60 and 70 years, and the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself passed away at the age of 63. In another Hadith, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that too, so ever lives upon this earth for 60 years, then he has no excuse in front of Allah subhanho wa Taala, meaning he has no excuse for not having worshipped Allah, not having made Toba. Now, having returned to Allah and repented to him, he's had 60 years upon this world, he or she has had 60 years upon this world. What have they been doing at that time. And the mindset of many of us, unfortunately, is that we think that we're not going to die. So we plan to pray. Once you reach retirement, we plan to go and make hij once we're old, we
want to prepare for our afterlife, once we've lived the majority of this life, and this wasn't the way of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Nor is it the way of a larger region in the Quran. And so I want to mention to you today, since we're in this blessed city of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, I want to go through the last few days of the life of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and really the lesson the main lesson that we need to take away from this
The last few days of the life of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is that even though the Prophet of Allah, he had such a high status in the sight of Allah, there is not a single person, in fact, not a single creation. There is more closer to Allah than our beloved Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, yet even he had to experience that. A lot of Xhosa says in the Quran, speaking directly to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in May you may you tune, surely you Oh, Mohammed will die, and they too will die. So if the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam died, and he is dead, then what about me and knew? Why do we live our lives with this thought that we're going to live
forever, that we don't need to prepare for the next leg of the journey. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he likened our situation upon this earth, to the traveler who seeks shade, a person who goes on a long journey. And then he stopped in the middle of that path just to rest. So he sees a tree under some shade under the tree. So he stops under the tree, just to take some comfort, to rest, to reserve his energy, to get some more energy to have something to eat or drink, so that he can continue his journey. This is the way this life is. We've stopped here under some shade. And we're supposed to prepare for the next leg of the journey, prepared by believing in Allah by
performing righteous actions, such as the Hajj that we've come to perform.
So let us look at the last few days of the life of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam one of the final things that he did in his life was that he performed the Hajj, the farewell Hajj, and this was performed in the 10th year of the hedgerow. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam at the very end of his life, wanting to fulfill this great pillar of Islam, and had only become an obligation the previous year. So it wasn't that he delayed it for many, many years. It was only obligatory for a single year before the prophet SAW Selim himself went to perform Hajj. And so he went and he performed the farewell Hajj. After he came back from the
farewell Hajj. He only lived for two and a half months. That's all. He only lived for two and a half months, the Hydros at the end of the temporary of the ledger. Within two and a half months in the 11th year, he would pass away son Allahu Allah, He will sell them. If you look back at the life of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, there is an incident which took place a few years before his death that was directly linked to his death. And that was in the seventh year of the Hippodrome. After the conquest of a place called Faber, where the Muslims were victorious in a battle. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had some food in someone's house, and his wife, the person's
house that he went to his wife, who was a Jewish woman, she plays poison in the food that she gave to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So the prophet SAW Selim took a bite, and he chewed, and then he realized there was something wrong with the food, so he spat it out. But even though he spat it out, the poison had already entered his body. So from that time, in the seventh year, three years before he died, he became weak, he became physically weaker. And so over time, he was becoming weaker and weaker, until finally in the month of rugby, or over the third month of the Islamic calendar, in the month of Ruby 101. In the 11th, year of the hinge row, on the very first day of
this month, he went into his final illness, what would be the illness that would culminate into his death sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And he became very ill at this time. And this was obviously at the beginning of, as I mentioned, the month of Robbie from oval.
So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam when he first became ill was living with or staying in the house of his wife, maimunah. And he realized all along, while he was telling him that his death was close, he knew this even from the Hajj that he performed, because one of the things that he said to the people that came from all over the Arabian Peninsula to perform 100 with him, it is perhaps or is possible that I will never see you after this year. This is one of the things that he said, and a lot of xojo also revealed to him so total fat, Elijah was from LA he was fat. And one of the reasons for revealing the surah was to indicate to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that your
time is near. Your message has been completed, the people have accepted Islam, even the Polish who is arch enemies have come into Islam. So his duty was done. So his time was coming near, and it was coming to an end. So in the first year of the Hippodrome, and the profits are in the first row below well in the 11th year of the Hydra, when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam became ill in the house of maimunah.
He asked permission from all of his wives that he be allowed to go and rest in the house of Ayesha that she be the one that should attend to him during his days of illness. And so they agreed. And so he moved to the house of Ashanti alone. And so during this time, he was becoming strong, his illness was becoming more and more severe. But he would still go sometimes I need the prayer. And sometimes he wouldn't go and need the prayer, or they would wait for him, and he would lead the prayer, but it was late. until five days later, his fever became so severe that he was unable to stand sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Now imagine the way the people of Medina were living at that time. And this is a
historic city that we're in. When you go to the harem. When you go and print that mustard, perhaps you're praying in the same place that the prophets of Salaam prayed, perhaps you're praying in the place that Abu Bakar president, or Mr. President, or a man or Ani, perhaps when you walk through one of the streets or alleyways of Medina, you study you're treading in the same places that these great people stood in these great scholars of Islam, the 1000s upon 1000s of righteous Muslims that have come to this very city. We're here now and we're here today. Imagine how the companions must have felt at that time, not seeing the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the same messenger of Allah,
Who when they would wake up in the morning, he was the first person they would see, when they would go to have some food, he would be in the company, when they would walk around the marketplaces of Medina, he would be leading them. When they would go to the mosque, he would be the Imam, when they would go to a lecture, he would be the speaker. their whole lives revolved around the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. In the morning, they would encamped at his house, they would wait there for him to come out. And then they would stay with Him until the end of the day until the evening when he went back home. When he would travel, they would go with him. When he wanted to visit
someone who was ill, they would accompany him. When he would go and bury someone they would help him. The whole lives revolved around the prophets of Salaam. So imagine how they felt five days, not being able to see the prophets of Salaam, knowing that he was severely ill. Knowing that he was in his 60s is an old man is become weaker, his strength has been drained. He has fought the non Muslims for such a long time. And now he's finally in this illness that seems to be getting steadily worse and worse. Imagine how they must have found. So the profits on a low hourly he will sell them five days into his illness was unable to stand. And his fever became so severe that he wasn't able to
move. But he wanted to go out and speak to his companions. He wanted to consolidate, he wanted to console them. So he asked his wife on a Chateau de la Juana to bring a bucket of water and pour it over his head. Imagine how severe his fever must have been to ask for a bucket of water to be poured over him. So they put one bucket and then two buckets, and then three buckets of water over him sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And then finally he found that his fever was beginning to subside. It was getting slightly better. So he asked that he be helped out to the masjid. And he was in such pain that he asked for a turban to be tied around his head very tight, because the pain that he was
experiencing within his head. So he came out of the masjid. And then so he came out of his house. And he went to the masjid and he sat up on the minbar. And imagine how joyful the companions are the lower and who must have been that finally the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has come out once again, the same prophet that would come and see us every day, he's come out again. And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam addressed his companions. And one of the most important things that he said, on that day was that after I die, don't take my grave as a place of worship. Like the Jews and Christians took the graves of their prophets as places of worship. So when we're here in
Medina, and we go to the grave of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam we give Salaam to him. We really are salutations to him, but we don't make to our to him. We don't ask him for anything. We don't ask him to intercede to Allah on our behalf. Because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, before he died, knew that people would do this. And so he prohibited them. The other thing that he did was he was sitting there was as the companions if any of them had any issues to resolve with him. He wanted to leave this dunya without anyone holding anything against him. So he asked the people who has an issue with me, anyone that has an issue, let him come and seek it today, before
your monthly ama before the day of judgment before we stand in front of Allah subhanho wa Taala and then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said a very beautiful statement.
And he said in the abdomen for Yahoo La Habana dunya. verbena marinda photographer in de la. Indeed Allah has given a choice to one of his slaves. And that choice is either to stay in this dunya or to choose that which is with Allah. So the slave has chosen that which is with Allah. Now during this time the companions who was sitting there, didn't understand what the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam intended by this statement. But Abu Bakar The one who was the most senior from amongst them the most knowledgeable from amongst him, he began to cry very severely. And so the companions around him are wondering why is abubaker crying? What's wrong with this old man? Why is he crying? The
prophets of Salaam is saying something good that this man has a choice and he's choosing to go to Allah. That's a good thing. Why is he crying? But Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu knew that the prophet SAW Selim was talking about himself. He was speaking about himself, that Allah had given him a choice. As he mentioned in another Hadith that Allah gives the prophets a choice that at that time is near when the time is due to him, that they can stay on the duty in the dunya. Or they can go to Allah and so they choose to go to Allah subhanho wa Taala as the prophets of Salaam chose. So Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu understood this. And then he went, the prophets are seldom returned back to
his house.
After this, the prophets are synonyms, illness became even more severe. So he wasn't even able to stand. And the fever became so severe that even with water placed upon him, it didn't subside. So at this time, the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam, or the people that were with him to go to Abu Bakr rhodiola one, and to ask him to leave the people in prayer. So he said, Go and ask Abu Bakar to lead the people in prayer. And the Allahu anhu said, O Messenger of Allah. Indeed, abubaker is a man with the soft heart. As soon as he begins to start reciting the Quran, he cries, and he cries to such an extent the people behind him can't understand what he's reciting. They don't know what he's reciting
choose someone else. Choose ermine is a stronger man. But the prophet SAW Selim kept saying to them, no, Abubakar, Abubakar Abubakar until he finally said that the Muslims and Allah won't allow anyone except Abu Bakr to lead them. And so Abu Bakar de la one, during the last few days of the life of the prophet SAW, Selim began to lead the prayer. The Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam, in one of those last few days was Abu Bakar was leading the prayer, he felt slightly better. So he asked two men to help him come out for the time of prayer. And the prayer had started. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam leaned on the shoulders of these two companions, and he came out. And so
when the companions saw that the prophets of Salaam was coming, they became overjoyed and happy. And the prophet SAW Selim came to the front, and abubaker was reading the prayer. And he sat down by him, he was unable to stand and pray. So he sat down next to him, and he began to pray. And as he was praying, abubaker was following the prophets of Salaam and the rest of the Muslims were following Abu Bakar of the law one, and then again, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam went back home. And this was the last time that he would come out, to see the companions and to pray with them. This was the very last time that they would see him outside of his house, sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam, the day before he passed away. The Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam gathered all of his slaves, all of the people that used to work for him, they used to serve Him, and He freed all of them. He told them, they were all free for the sake of Allah. And so they were all free. And then he asked his family to bring together all of the money that he had. And with all of that money, he gave it away in charity. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that the prophets of Allah do not give inheritance, but they give charity. And so he gave away everything that he possessed. Everything that he owned, Was I the freedom that they are given in the way of a loss of Hannah
Montana, the next day, the Tuesday, the 12th of April, the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam awoke, not knowing what that day would hold for them. They didn't know that this would be the day in which finally the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would leave this world and he would pass away. When the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam awoke on that day, he actually felt better. And often you will find that people who are in a long, severe illness before they pass away, they feel slightly better, they will be severely ill, and then they'll feel slightly better as an allowable decree that they pass away. And likewise the prophets of Salaam on this day, on this
Monday, he woke up feeling better
He woke up feeling that he was better. And so the companions came out for Serato.
And they came to play in the mosque of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and Abu Bakr was reading them, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was able to sit up in his bed. So he sat up in his bed. And then he removed the veil or the curtain that separated his door from the mosque of the prophets of pseudonym, because the prophets of Salaam his house was joined to the mosque. So he moved this curtain. The companion said that when we saw the illuminated beaming face of the Prophet sallallahu, Alayhi, wasallam. At the in the federal prayer of that day, we were about to break our prayer and run to him. We were so happy and overjoyed that he's getting better. He's sitting up,
he's moving again, that we were about to leave our prayer out of joy, just to go and see to him to go and speak to him. Imagine these were the companions that would go and hold his shoes, they would go and they would serve Him, they would shake his hand, they would touch him, bless it, buddy, son, Allahu alayhi wa sallam, they just wanted to go and speak to him, to see him smile, to have some words of encouragement from him. And so they saw him do this for fudger prayer. And the prophet SAW Selim knew what they were thinking. So he made a sign to them that they should continue praying. And then he closed the curtain. And that would be the last time that many of them would ever see him
after celestial fudger because he was feeling slightly better. Abubakar rhodiola one who came to see him.
And he asked permission, that he should be able to go and see his other wife abubaker had two wives, one lived in Medina, and one live just on the outskirts of Medina. And since the illness of the prophets of Salaam, he hadn't gone to see his other wife. So he said, O Messenger of Allah, allow me to go hamdulillah you feeling better allow me to go and see my other wife. So the officer sent him said, Okay, go and see you otherwise. And so he left and he went to the outskirts of Medina. After this, I talked him out of the a la Juana, the daughter of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam came to visit her father. So she came in and she saw that he was really ill, even though he was
better than before, he was still very ill. And so she began to say, well, corba how ill is my father, how much pain is he experiencing? And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said that by Allah after today, your father will never feel pain, pain again. After today, your father will never feel pain again. So the prophet SAW Selim himself knew that his time was near. And then he asked Fatima to come closer. And he wanted to speak to her privately. And the house of the apostle Salaam was very, very small. So he asked her to come closer. And then he said something to her, and she began to cry. And then he again told her to come closer, and he said something else and she began to
laugh. And so after the death of the prophet SAW Selim, they asked her, oh, Fatima, why did you cry, and then begin to laugh. She said, when the prophets of Salaam spoke to me for the first time, he said to me, that I will die on this day. So I began to cry. And then he called me again. And he said to me, and the first person from my family that will come and see me will be you. So I began to laugh. And she was the first of his relatives, his family, his daughter's that passed away, after the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and then Fatima rhodiola when he left, and this was all in the morning before the prayer. And whilst before the prayer after 40, Marathi Allah 100 left, the
prophets of cinema again became very severely ill. And he was lying in the lap of Arusha, it'll be a long rundown. And all that he would do was stay there and he would come in and out of consciousness, in and out of consciousness until her brother entered the family with Abu Bakar, the brothers Arusha and he was holding a miswak. And he was cleaning his teeth. And so the patient says, I saw the prophets of Salaam, look at the miswak as if he wanted it. So I said, O Messenger of Allah, do you want it? And he kind of nodded, slightly nodded. And so she took the miswak from her brother, and she broke off the pot that he was using, and then she cleaned the teeth of the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam, the officer was preparing to meet his Lord. And then he lay in the lap of Chateau de la. And the final words that he uttered sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was my Lavina and unterlagen. Mila Nabina was the pin was Shahada, he was solid in La karateka over LA I want the company of those that you have blessed from the prophets and the truthful and the righteous and the martyrs and what a blessing companionship there is. And then he said, Allah homophily or harmony, Allah have mercy upon me and have forgiveness on me. And this is the prophets of Salaam who had no sense asking for mercy and forgiveness.
from Allah and then he said along Murphy, Allah Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah. Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah. I want the high companionship, the high companionship, the high companionship. And with that he closed his eyes and his soul left his body sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam died after the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam died, there was a large contingent of companions, a large number of companions, such as Amara deola, one who couldn't believe that the prophets of Solomon passed away. They couldn't just accept the fact that this man, this great messenger of Allah, who they would see every single day, every single evening, who they would eat with, where they would walk with who they would talk with, that he had just left them all of a sudden. And so they began to deny that he died, and Ahmadi Allahu anhu said, that indeed the Prophet of Allah has gone to meet Allah, just as the Prophet Musa went to meet Allah
for 40 days, and he will return and whoever says that he has died, I will cut off his neck. And so the companions reacted in many different ways. And one of the Allahu anhu was very forceful. When a man love your loved one who heard this news. And he was in the mosque of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he was unable to stand. He collapsed upon his knees. He couldn't stand he couldn't move. They were the companions who were wandering around aimlessly. And assembly Malik radi Allahu anhu says that the day that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam entered in Medina, Medina became illuminated. There was joy and celebration in the streets of Medina. And then on the day that the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam died, Medina became darkened, no one knew where to go. There was no leader there was no one to take them anywhere. They were left aimless. And so they were wandering around not knowing what to do. Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu had the news from the outskirts of Medina that the prophets of Salaam died. So he came back to Medina. And the first thing that he did was when he entered the mosque, he had more shouting at the people telling them that they couldn't say that the prophets of Salaam had died. And so he left her armor and human straight to the house of his daughter varosha. And that the prophet SAW cinemas lying with a sheet placed over him. So he
took off the sheet, and he kissed him on his forehead. And he said how pure you were on messenger of Allah, in life and in death, by Allah, you will never experienced death twice. By Allah, Allah will not make you taste death twice. And then he covered him. And he went to our motto the long run and he said, Omar Sit down.
In one duration, Larry said that Omar sat down and read Innovation Research that continued he didn't hear Abu Bakar he was so overcome and distraught. So Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu went to the member, and he called the Muslims together. And he said to them, that you ever worships Allah, that Allah is Ever living and he will never die, and whoever worships other than Allah, and whoever worships the Prophet of Allah know that the Prophet of Allah has died. And then he recited the beautiful verse of the Quran, woman Mohammedan in LA soon, but the quality of the hustle as a matter of hotellin caloptima hapa become the Prophet of Allah Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is only a messenger,
and many messengers passed before him that died. So if he dies, or is he killed, will you then return away turn away from this religion. And so with that the companions, including Amara de Allah when they come down, and they began to accept this fate, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam had left him that they would never see him again. They would never eat with him again. They would never walk with him again. He would no longer be the first person that they saw, you will no longer be the one who led them in prayer. The one who gave the hookah, the one who gave them encouragement, the one who would travel with them, they would never see the prophets of Salaam, again.
On that day, on the next day, the Tuesday, they decided that they would wash and bury the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So a number of the close relatives of the prophets of Salaam, including his uncle, Allah bass, including his son in law, Holly, including Osama bin Zayed, the son of his adopted son, they washed the body of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and then they prepared his route. And then the Muslims prayed individually, the genesis of the prophets are seldom, because there was no hollyford there was no one Imam, no success that had been chosen. So all of the companions prayed individually, the genesis of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, along that
night, the Tuesday night. They wanted to decide where to bury the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So bokhara the Allahu anhu said that I heard the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say that the prophets have
A lot are buried, where they died. You buried them wherever they died. So they buried him in the house of Chateau de la. And this is obviously the place that we now go to, to give salaams to the prophets of Salaam. So this is how these were the last few days of the life of our beloved Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
was the legend in the Quran mentions that every single social taste death kulu, Neff sin remote, every soldier shocked his death. Were in number to a phone that was eurocom Yama, Yama, and then on the Day of Judgment, you will receive the rewards of your actions. If the good then you will receive good reward and if they're evil, then you will receive their punishment from NZ honey now, what would the hidden agenda for pedophiles so whosoever is saved from the fire and he enters into paradise, where indeed that person has achieved success, one will hire to do near Illa material and the life of this world is only play and amusement. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was once
asked by the companions of your loved one, or messenger of Allah, after you die on the Day of Judgment, where can we meet you? Where can we see you? Where will when we will see you again, and look at how much love they had for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that even after his death, the main ambition that they had was to see him once again. Just to have one more opportunity to see the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, that you will find me by the help by the pond, my pond on Yom Okayama the pond that the water of which is whiter than honey than milk, and there is more sweeter than honey, and it has the burden of
fragrance than must and whoever drinks form it will never experienced first ever again. The prophet SAW Selim said I will wait for you there. And when you come to me, I will take cups made of gold, and I will take water from my pond, and I will give it to you with my own hand. And this isn't just for the companions, but for every believer. So homelife me and you want to meet the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, if we have this urge and desire, this ambition, that even though we didn't meet the prophets of Salaam here, we never saw him. We don't know what he looks like. We never had the opportunity to sit with him to speak to him to eat with him. We will have an
opportunity in the next life in sha Allah. And we will be forming inshallah, those people that the prophets of Salaam, himself with his own blessing hand will serve us with a cup of water. Imagine the Prophet of Allah coming to you with a cup of water and saying drink, but there will be a group of people on that day, as the prophets Allah mentioned that they will be Muslims and the prophets of Salaam will recognize them as Muslims, they will come towards this pond, and as they are coming closer and closer, a group of angels will come and they will drag them away. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam will call out and he will say, oh, Mati. Mati. These people have my own
mother, my nation. These are my people leave them and so the angels will reply, you don't know what they did to your religion after you. You don't know how they changed your religion after you. Your Sunnah was one way, the way you prayed was one way, the way that you performed Hajj was in a set way. But these people came and they invented in your religion, they did as they pleased. they worshipped a lot more according to your way, but according to their own way, their own desires, their own thoughts, their own rationale. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam will say to the angels, so on so on lemon, but de la de, may they be removed, may they be distanced from me, those
who changed my religion after me. Imagine being from those people who come so close to the prophets of Salaam that is in touching distance, you're about to receive that cup of water. And then the prophet SAW Selim says, No, you didn't follow my religion, my Sunnah, the way I practice this religion. And so those people who will be removed far away from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
My dear brothers and sisters, each and every single one of us will die. Each and every single one of us will die. When we look at the companions of the long run, the companions are the Allahu Allah Who knew that they would die, and they will prepare him from that moment from the first day they accepted Islam. And today we went to the Battle of war. Imagine having that courage to go out on your wedding day, just as one of those companions did, knowing that you could very well not return but having the man in a lot to go for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala
This was the way that the companions were trained. This was the way that they were nurtured, this was their tarbiyah that they knew that death would come to them. Whether it comes today, or tomorrow, or next month, or next year, it will come. Whether it comes when you're awake, or when you're asleep, it will come. And as a lot of zillertal mentioned in the Quran, for either Judge allume law is the akuna satola is the moon, when they're appointed time will come, then it will be moved forward and it won't be delayed. That time will be the time and the angel of death will come and he will take away our souls, and there will be nothing that we can do about it. There is no
opportunity then to say to the angel of death. Wait for two minutes. Let me make Toba. Let me repent to Allah. Let me seek forgiveness. Give me a few minutes. Let me just pray to Allah cause I'll be quick. Give me one minute more, there will be none of that the angel of death will come and he will take away our song. And this is why the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the scholars of Islam were prepared for that moment. They live their lives anticipating that moment, Abdullah bin Amara de Allahumma would say that when morning comes upon, you don't expect to live to the evening. And if you see the evening, they don't expect to see the next morning. This is the way
that we should live. When we pray, how many of us pray knowing that it could well be our last prayer? guarantee do you have that when you go now to pray that you'll see Russia or when you see Russia that you'll see fudger tomorrow? What guarantee that do you have that when you go down to perform the Hajj in the days of Minar and arafa, it must deliver that you will return home. Many people come to this journey and they don't return. Many people come and they don't go back. And this is all from the decree of Allah subhanho wa Taala. This is something which a lot of soldier has destined for us. And it is one of the first things that Allah azzawajal writes, when the soul is
blown into the body, when the baby is the soul is breathed into the baby's body, whilst the baby is still in the womb of its mother. One of the first things that is written is when it will die. Its appointed time, it has said about the scholars of Islam Maha Maha mala, that if you were to come to one of them, and to say to them, that you are going to die today, then they wouldn't be able to do any more good actions, they wouldn't be able to increase in their goodness, they were doing so much already. They were doing their maximum, that if you were to tell them that today, you're going to die, they wouldn't be able to do anything different. Their daily routine was set in such a way that
every day, they thought that they may die. Every day, they anticipated that if one of us was told that we're going to die tomorrow, then no more shopping, it would be no shopping today, we wouldn't go to eat, we wouldn't worry about any of the problems that we're facing any of the hardships that were encountering our day and night until that moment would be a better it will be seeking forgiveness from Allah, it would be repenting to Allah. This was how the scholars work. This is how they live their lives. And this is what we need to do as well. We've got this blessed opportunity now, in this days of Hajj to go and to prepare ourselves with this mindset to know that perhaps
we'll never come back to this place. Perhaps in a month or two, we'll die. And each and every single one of us has family and friends that were alive only a few months ago and are no longer alive. People that we knew that were alive a year or two ago, whose family relatives, parents, spouses, children that are no longer with us. So what guarantee do we have that our time isn't next, that is not going to be me or you today or tomorrow.
So let us take benefit from this trip of hunch, any difficulties that you experience, and there will be many difficulties ahead. When you look at it, and you prioritize it, and you look at it through the lens that perhaps I will die after this hunch, perhaps I won't live to see the next hunch, then all of these values become trivial. All of them become insignificant. none of it matters. The only thing that matters is having your hatch accepted. The only thing that matters is returning back home with all of your sins forgiven. And if that is our goal, and this is the way that we look at everything, then inshallah we will achieve even a 10th of what the companions achieved. We will go
some way to reaching that level, who when they came to the battlefields, they would walk for months upon months, when they would go for Hajj they would walk for weeks upon weeks, they would go through hardship upon hardship. Many of them had no food to cook, no water to drink, no clothes to wear, but it didn't matter to them, because everything was in preparation for the next slide. None of them
This material possession mattered. None of it was significant in their eyes. And this is what we need to also do bear from now from today in the specificity of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and from here on in, throughout this journey of hunch, and insha Allah, if Allah azza wa jal Khan says life throughout the rest of our lives, until we're meeting supprimer hautala escala as the legendary allows us to live a life of righteous action and have strong Eman, and then on Yom Kippur, Yama, he allows us to meet the prophets of Salaam I respond to drink from the water of his pond to be served by the hand of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was sort of lost around a bit
earlier.
