AI: Summary ©
Alhamdulillah, we are indeed honored and privileged to
be in the house of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala during this waqt of Yawm al
-Jum'ah, to ask Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala to accept all of our good deeds
during this time.
Today our guest speaker is none other than
Mawlana Sulaiman Ahmed Tatani.
We say Jazakumullahu Khayran to Mawlana for taking
out the time to be here with us
again.
And may Allah grant you the ability to
come many, many more times in the future.
So without any further ado, can I just
ask the jama'at please to stand and
pull up the caps from the front, please.
To save time a bit later.
And also, barakah lies in the front of
the masjid, please.
We can just move forward and pull up
the caps from the front.
Jazakumullahu Khayran.
The natural instinct which Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala has placed as part of the psyche
of this human being is to preserve and
protect that which is valuable.
More valuable, more precious something is instinctively
we take every measure possible to preserve and
protect it.
And coupled with that is an acute sense
of loss.
If perchance one has to lose that which
is precious and valuable.
Simple example in day-to-day life, you
walk into someone's house.
Every person or most people in their homes,
they'll have some sort of a safe.
They'll have some section of that house.
What will they keep in that which is
not easily accessible, not known to the public,
hidden.
Sometimes we have maid servants working in our
homes and we go out of our way
to ensure that they are not aware or
cognizant of that place.
What do we keep there?
Your jewelry, something that is precious, something that
is valuable.
The hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam, which
I mentioned in the beginning khutbah.
This particular hadith at this time of the
year, especially, it is very, very important for
every one of us to ponder and reflect
as to what the meaning of this guideline
that was given to us by our noble
master sallallahu alaihi wasallam is.
Abdullah bin Mubarak, rahimahullah, was a great mujahid.
He was a great muhaddith also, a great
scholar of Islam.
It's mentioned about him that once he compiled
a book in which there were 40,000
ahadith.
And then he told his students that there
is one hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam
that if you will practice on this one
hadith, it is equivalent to as if you
have practiced upon 40,000 ahadith.
Everything that is in this book, practice on
this one hadith and you have practiced on
all.
Obviously, the meaning, the import is of great
significance.
So they asked him, what is this hadith?
He said that Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said,
There are two great bounties, two great blessings,
valuable, precious, which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
has blessed humanity with.
But the tragedy, the irony, He said, majority
of my ummah, like I said, something is
precious, something is valuable, preserve it, protect it,
feel an acute sense of loss when you
lose it.
Unfortunately and ironically, our master sallallahu alaihi wasallam
said, These two bounties, majority of my ummah
will realize its value when it is too
late.
This instinct to preserve it, to protect it,
to value it, to acutely feel a sense
of loss when they lose it, that unfortunately,
majority of my ummah will only realize when
it is too late.
You and I, and this is Allah's system
from our inception in this world.
From the day we were born, there is
a valuable and a precious commodity which we
are losing.
We are engaged in a conflict, in a
war.
This is one conflict and one war that
Allah has predetermined that no one will be
victorious.
If it was possible for anyone to be
victorious, if it was possible for anyone not
to lose this, then my respected brothers and
sisters, like the poet puts it beautifully, لو
كانت الدنيا تدوم لأهلها لكان رسول الله صلى
الله عليه وسلم فيها مخلدا that if anyone
was going to be victorious in the battle
and conflict against time, if anyone was going
to be granted perpetuity in this world, if
anyone was going to be saved from drinking
from the cup of death, then Muhammad ﷺ
would have been granted a life of perpetuity.
But Allah directly addresses his beloved in the
Quran.
This mode of address is direct address.
Indakah verily you, my beloved Muhammad ﷺ mayyit
ul daai wa innahil mayyitoon and every one
of them will die.
Assikhatu wal Faraa Muhammad ﷺ cautioned his Ummah
and he said that the health which Allah
has given you today And the free time
which Allah has given you today, do not
take this for granted.
You are in a conflict.
Your precious, valuable commodity which Allah has given
you, time.
How many places in the Qur'an Allah
Ta'ala takes qasam and oath on aspects
of time.
The Qur'an.
Qur'an is the absolute truth.
You and I sometimes we need to take
oath and qasam, why?
Because we lie.
Somebody doubts what we are saying.
You cannot doubt the Qur'an.
Allah does not need to take any qasam
and oath.
There is no one more truthful than Allah,
yet.
Not one, not two, several times.
Several times in the Qur'an Allah takes
qasam and oath on time and aspects of
time.
By the oath of the daybreak.
By the oath of the dawn as it
takes a breath.
By the oath of the night as it
passes the day.
By the oath of the night as its
darkness envelops.
By the oath of the day as it
lights up.
By the oath of time itself.
Not only time, aspects of time, those portents
of Allah's creation which bring time into existence
and by which time is measured.
Allah takes qasam and oath on them also.
By the oath of the sun.
By the oath of the moon.
By the oath of the stars.
All these qasams and oaths, why?
To conscientize you and I.
To make you and I wake up to
the reality that not only is gold and
silver and rands and dollars and pounds valuable.
Not only are precious commodities and minerals valuable.
But more valuable than that is time.
Time is a mata, time.
Today in the commercial world you want to
establish the value of something, how is it
established?
What is the replacement value?
Lose something to get it back?
What is the replacement value?
This is how they establish how precious, how
valuable something is.
What system is there in this world to
replace time?
Job, you lose, you can get another job.
Wealth you lose, you'll earn some more wealth
tomorrow.
Some investment opportunity goes wrong, tomorrow you'll get
another chance to do another investment.
Your gold, your silver, your diamonds, your precious
emeralds, you'll hide it away, put it in
a safety deposit box, put it in a
bank vault.
If you want to be more creative, hide
it away in the sofa.
But which bank vault, which safety deposit box
are you going to use to lock up
time?
This tick, tick, tick of the clock, this
incessant, inexorable, unstoppable motion of time which is
encapsulated in the expressions of the Qur'an.
The verse of the Qur'an, the last
verse which I recited, Allah takes cognizance, not
only is there a lunar calendar, the ummah
of Muhammad s.a.w. was given a
lunar calendar, but Qur'an takes cognizance of
the solar calendar also.
Sun was made a light, noor was made
a light.
Allah says, by the day and night that
was created through the movement of the sun
and the moon and the stars, you are
able to establish the counting of the years.
This is Allah's creation, it is the truth.
Allah says, there are signs in this.
Observe this motion.
Don't take it for granted.
Abdullah bin Mas'ud r.a. draws our
attention to this in a beautiful expression.
He says, will you not observe?
Will you not take heed?
Will you not take lesson?
This inexorable, unstoppable motion, day following night, night
following day, what is happening?
Every new thing is being made old.
Today you are healthy, does the health remain?
Today you are young, does the youth remain?
Today you are fit and strong, does that
remain?
Every new thing is being made old.
Every distant thing.
Seems only yesterday the child was born.
Parents were envisaging in their mind's eye the
day my son will graduate, the day my
daughter will get married, the day I'll hand
over the keys to my kingdom and my
empire to the next generation.
And then, the disloyalty of time.
How often do we not observe that that
elderly father had so many dreams and aspirations
about his young son, yet it is the
same elderly father that's carrying the janaza of
that young son on his back.
Because Allah has set in a system, there
is a sequence for arrival.
Grandfather will come first, then the father, then
the grandson.
But, my respected brothers and sisters, for departure,
there is no such sequence.
Not only the old are dying, the young
are dying.
Not only the retired are dying, the busy
are dying.
Not only the sick are dying, the healthy
are dying also.
يُقَرِّبَانِ كُلَّ بَعِيدٍ Every distant thing is being
brought near with the movement of time.
And then, وَيَأْتِيَانِ بِكُلِّ مَوْعُو And with this
incessant unstoppable motion, like a block of ice,
relentlessly melting away in the glare of the
sunlight, the seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months,
years of my and your life are slipping
away.
We are on a journey.
No one came to this world to live.
The stark reality is every one of us
came to die.
You walk into a government office.
It may be a politician, it may be
a governor, it may be a president, it
may be a ruler.
There will be a plaque there.
This year to this year, this was the
ruler.
Then this person, then this person.
Now the current person.
A reminder to that individual that every time
you pass that plaque, think and reflect tomorrow
it's going to be somebody else's name here.
We are not owners.
We are not owners of any property, any
material thing of this world.
All we are is trustees.
All we are is temporary holders of that.
Everything in this life, time, wealth, property, whatever
Allah has given you, it is an amanat
and a trust.
And like Sayyidina Musa A.S. advised Qarun,
how much wealth Allah gave him.
Today we are measuring a man's success on
the basis of how much wealth he has.
Come out of that Qaruni mentality.
Come out of that Firauni mentality.
Your wealth cannot compare to the wealth of
Qarun.
What was his wealth?
Allah says forget how much wealth we gave
him.
Just to carry the keys of the treasures
of Qarun, you would need an army of
men.
He was from the nation of Musa A
.S. Musa A.S. advised him, Qarun, use
everything that Allah has given you.
It's not your intelligence, not your business acumen.
Allah gave it to you.
Whatever you have in this world, Allah gave
it to you.
What is the object?
Utilize it to earn your akhirah.
Every one of us is on a journey.
This is a cycle.
This world is a passing phase.
50 years, 60 years, 70 years, 100 years,
whatever life, whatever life you will get in
this world, compared to what lies ahead, the
reality?
Very, very little.
Mataun Qaleem Ayyamam Ma'doodat On a lighter note,
the other day, someone sent a message, one
person went to one chef, he said, you
know what, I've got a huge problem.
What's your problem, bhai?
He says, I'm bald, my hair is not
growing.
So he said, don't worry about it.
He said, how can I not worry about
it?
Can't you see?
And I look at the mirror, hair is
not growing, what must I do?
I've got a huge problem!
He says, don't worry about it.
He says, why?
He says, just now bigger problems are coming.
Maybe today the hair is bald, tomorrow the
kidneys will start packing up.
Then it's going to be something else.
And then eventually, like one person, he went
to an astrologer, totally forbidden, but in any
case, on a light note, he went to
an astrologer, he said, read my palm, I'm
very poor.
So the man reads his palm, he says,
you know what, you're going to be poor
for another 8 years.
So he gets happy.
He says, then what?
He says, then you'll get used to being
poor.
What's the reality?
يأتيان بكل موعود يأتيان بكل موعود This is
a cycle.
Whatever we perceive to be real problems here
are not problems.
The reality lies ahead.
The reality lies ahead.
There is a day.
There is a day.
He saw a man.
He asked him, He said, my brother, how
old are you?
How old are you?
The man said, 60 years.
He says, He says, my brother, for the
last 60 years, 60 years, you are on
a journey.
You are on a train, a cycle of
life.
Don't you think the time for you to
reach your destination has come near?
يأتيان بكل موعود Abdullah bin Mas'ud r
.a says, when that black hair starts turning
white, when those freckles and lines of the
passage of time come on your face, inevitably,
when the signs of the passage of time
become relevant to you in front of you,
when you look to your left and right
and that cousin and that brother and that
father and that relative that was with you
last year is no longer here, when you
hear that janaza announcement, when you pass by
that graveyard, which you are passing either on
your way to a job or on the
way to the masjid or going somewhere, daily
you are passing that graveyard.
What did our Master ﷺ teach us?
He said, address those graves.
And say to them, أَنتُم لَنَا سَلَفْ وَنَحْنُ
بِالْأَثَرِ You are gone ahead, I am right
behind you.
You are gone ahead, I am right behind
you.
Two people recently attended one janaza.
One brother said to the other, janaza salah
is over, let us now go to the
qibristan.
Two qirats of reward.
What did he respond?
He pointed to his watch.
He said, don't you realize how many appointments?
How busy I am?
With such great difficulty I came to the
janaza, now you want me to go to
the graveyard?
Saying that he rushes off, down the road
meets with an accident.
And the same graveyard.
The same graveyard that he didn't have time
to accompany this janaza to.
Will become his resting place right up till
qiyamah.
The manzar, the scene of mort and death,
is right there in front of us.
Allah's constant reminders.
How many reminders?
Quran is a reminder.
Hadith is a reminder.
Anbiya alayhimu s-salatu wa s-salam were
reminders.
Health becoming sickness is a reminder.
Youth becoming old age is a reminder.
The cycle of the ravages of time is
a reminder.
Every rising sun is a reminder.
What does that sun do?
It rises and rises and rises till it
reaches zenith.
The whole world is lit up.
Proudly it has announced, I have arrived.
What happens?
Every day you will notice that sun now
starting to move towards the west.
Becoming smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller.
Till eventually it is a speck of dust
that is swallowed up by the darkness of
the horizon of the west.
Every day that qabal is calling out.
Ana bayt al-dhul.
Ana bayt al-dhulma.
Ana bayt al-wahsha.
Ana bayt al-wahda.
I am the home of insects.
I am the home of loneliness.
I am the home of fear.
I am the home of darkness.
Do not be deceived by the music, by
the revelry, by the entrapments, by the debauchery,
by the immorality of the glitter and glamour
of the lights of this world.
Mujhe bhi marna hai, tujhe bhi marna hai.
Mawt is coming.
Death is coming.
This life is an amanat.
It is a trust.
We are on a journey.
Ya'ti yaani bhi kulli maw'ud.
Abdullah bin Mas'ud radiyallahu ta'ala says
there is a promised time.
There is a promised day.
The Arabic word for day is yawm.
How many places in the Quran Allah reminds
us?
yawm yawm yawm yawm yawm yawm yawm yawm
A day is coming.
The day when the secrets will be opened
up.
May Allah says, oh humanity don't be deceived.
You think it is very very far away.
Plan behind this dunya.
Run behind this dunya.
One keeps shifting the goal post.
Keep delaying.
You think it is far away.
We are telling you that it is very
very near.
The sad reality my respected brothers and sisters
is that when a nation is overpowered by
another nation, historically it is observed that unfortunately
the ghalib nation, the overpowering nation those that
are overpowered they tend to take their cue
and their direction from the overpowering nation even
when it doesn't make sense.
Birthday celebrate.
Anniversary celebrate.
New year wait 31st December as the clock
is counting down.
Till midnight and then happy new year.
Millions if not billions squandered extravagance on a
stupendous scale so called advanced first world nations.
When millions if not billions little babies are
suckling to the breast of their mothers and
those * are dry.
When poverty strife has become arm throughout the
world.
When cheaper than water has become the blood
of the ummah of Muhammad s.a.w.
When are we going to wake up to
the reality?
When are we going to realize that the
movement of time, new year is not a
celebration.
Birthday is not a celebration.
Anniversary is not a celebration.
The hallmarks by which the ravages and the
movements of time are acknowledged and realized on
the one hand it is a cause of
you and I making shukr to Allah.
We should be thanking Allah.
Allah has given us one more year.
One more chance.
There is one analogy when alim gives very
very relevant ponder over this analogy.
Take it to heart the meaning behind this.
He was standing in a graveyard Janaza was
in front of him.
And then he told that majma and gathering
around him that listen if this person, this
mayyit has to receive divine inspiration that we
are going to give you 24 more hours
ask yourself this question.
Today at asr where would he be?
Tomorrow morning at fajr where would this mayyit
be?
He'll be in a masjid.
He'll make tawbah.
He'll change his life.
If he has broken off ties with any
family relatives he'll patch it up.
If there is any financial irregularities he will
address them.
He will change his life completely.
Quran, zikr, all those amal that for years
we are promising ourselves we are going to
change, going to change, going to change and
keep delaying.
This mayyit if he's told you have 24
hours will instantly change everything.
And then this alim said that I am
telling you with absolute authority that this man
is not getting another 24 hours.
There is an appointed and a promised time
of my and your death.
Human being in his foolishness what he says
I just turned my head and I got
saved.
I just missed it and I got saved.
Foolish insan, death did not bare its claws.
Why?
When mort and death will bare its claws
then no system in this world is going
to buy you or I even one second's
extension.
When the time of mort and death comes
not one second's extension will be granted to
anyone.
This is Allah's system.
Yet, instead of taking ibrat, instead of taking
heed, instead of taking lesson, instead of taking
caution, the sad reality is that you and
I are celebrating the passage of time.
Time is a makhluk.
Time is a creation of Allah.
Its movement defies logic.
You sit in a car, you press the
accelerator what happens?
It goes forward.
Ship goes forward.
Aeroplane, anything you apply energy moves forward.
The problem facing you and I, my respected
brothers and sisters, is that we think that
time is also moving forward.
Time is not moving forward.
Time is receding.
You are not gaining time, you are losing
time.
Hassan Basri, rahimahullah, the great sage of Islam,
he describes it like this.
He says death has caught you by your
forelocks and this life, this time is being
wrapped up behind you.
But like
the poet puts it, foolish humanity, you are
celebrating the passage of time.
Little do you realize every passing day Hassan
Basri, the great sage of Islam, rahimahullah, he
says that day when it dawns addresses you,
Oh humanity, I am a new creation of
Allah.
Make shukr.
Allah gave you one more day.
But don't take me for granted.
What you looked at, what you listened to,
what you planned, what you spoke, how you
populate me, every second is being recorded.
Allah says, my recorders are writing down everything.
Every time your eye strays, it is being
recorded.
What your heart conceals is being recorded.
Every utterance of the tongue is being recorded.
Every utterance is recorded.
Even what you said, I entered, I left,
I walked, I talked, all that is recorded.
End of each year, what do the commercial
enterprises do?
They do financial audit.
What happened last year, what's the plans for
next year?
Corporate world teaches us this lesson.
Corporate world teaches us this lesson.
End of the year has come, make shukr
to Allah.
A new day has come, make shukr to
Allah.
But, No one understands this day is an
amanat and a trust.
Hours and hours in front of that shaitan
box.
Hours and hours, today that mobile phone has
become a musibah, chatting, this platform, that platform,
hours wasted.
As if that time has no value.
What do we say?
I am passing the time, as if you
can replace it.
Are you going to get it back?
So the day says to you, Imam Hassan
Basri says, The day says to you, Populate
me correctly.
Earn your akhirah.
Please your Allah.
Follow your master Muhammad.
Why?
Once I am gone, I am never ever
coming back.
Allah has not given this human being the
ability to reverse the clock.
What is gone is gone.
Like the poet says, I mentioned it earlier,
You are celebrating the passage of time.
Every passing day and year is taking you
closer to that qabr, that grave.
A few years ago, I went to one
relative's house.
He says, I just returned from a birthday
party.
So I asked him, I said, how old
was the person?
He says, 60 years of age.
60 years and still celebrating.
One wonders how you are going to put
60 candles on the cake.
And then today, the type of activities people
get up to, ask for cash or whatever
it is, buggering up their respiratory system when
a 60 year old man tries to blow
out the 60 candles, whether he'll get blown
out first, or the candles will get blown
out first, that also is doubtful.
Yet, new year celebrate, birthday celebrate, anniversary celebrate.
My respected brothers and sisters, we are running
out of time.
The sabaq, the lesson.
Take this to heart.
This is one of shaitan's greatest, greatest plots.
This deception.
We are advised, we see in front of
us, people becoming sick, people becoming weak.
We see in front of us, janaza after
janaza.
We see in front of us, passing day
after passing day.
The desire to change comes, but what does
shaitan whisper?
Sofa, sofa, sofa.
Not lounge set sofa, Arabic word sofa.
What does sofa mean?
Not now, you've got time, delay.
Delay your tauba, delay the change.
Delay making your salah on time, delay.
Like one of our elders puts it nicely,
holistic example.
Somebody sets his alarm clock for fajr.
Alarm goes.
Even in that state of semi-consciousness, this
much mental alertness he's got, he does a
quick mental calculation, that if I press the
snooze button, I've got another 10 minutes.
So he'll press the snooze button, in other
words, delay.
Second time the alarm goes, Friday morning, imam
sahib, mashallah, surah alif lam yim, sajda and
surah dahar, I've got a few more minutes.
Press it again, and the problem, ironically, that
5 or 10 minute sleep is sweeter than
the whole night.
So keep delaying, till eventually he misses that
salah also.
I'm going to terminate on one incident, from
the noble gems, beautiful gems, precious jewels of
the life and the seerah of our master,
sallallahu alaihi wasallam, which is why our elders
advise us, establish halaqa of ta'aleem in
every home of the ummah.
That zulmat and darkness of that shaitan box,
and the techno gadgets, and whatever we have
brought in our homes, bring the noor, bring
the light.
Spend quality time.
Today the father, mother are living in their
own world.
The children are begging for attention.
They are caught up in the mobile, caught
up in other things.
Give that valuable time to your family.
Populate it with the words of Allah and
his Rasul, sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
Nevertheless, one incident, like I said, I'll terminate
on this, which illustrates very, very clearly the
harms of delay.
Zaid bin Harisa, radiyallahu ta'ala, who says,
I shared the camel with Rasul-e-Pak,
sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
This incident is mentioned in one of Yusuf's,
rahmatullah alaihi wasallam, Hayat-ul-Sahaba.
We were in Mina.
What was the Mina of Rasulullah, sallallahu alaihi
wasallam?
Ten to ten, person to person, this cry,
this pain of rahmat and mercy for humanity
in the heart.
How one, one person can be saved from
Jahannam and go into Jannat.
He approaches the Banu Abs tribe, gives them
Dawat.
One person from that tribe, particularly Masrook, Maysara
bin Masrook Absi.
Very affected by the words of Rasulullah, sallallahu
alaihi wasallam.
Begs his people, accept the message of this
man.
Let us become his helpers.
Allah will take us ahead.
He says, I take an oath in Allah.
I can see that what he is calling
to, the light of it will light up
the whole world.
Shaitan comes.
What does Shaitan whisper?
Not now, delay.
So they said, very good what you are
saying, but we came for Hajj, we'll see.
He begs them.
They don't listen.
Now they are returning.
I'm cutting the incident short.
We've just got three or four more minutes.
He says to his people, on the return
journey we are passing by an area called
Fidak where there are Jews.
Let us go to them.
Ask them that if in their scriptures there
is any mention of this person we met
in Mina.
The Jews, Allah tells us, they recognized him
like they recognized their own children.
They knew he was the Nabi of Allah.
It was their inaad, their stubbornness that they
didn't accept.
Musa alaihi salam when he was returning from
Hajj, passes by Yathrib which later became Medina.
Amongst his ashab, companions, Qurayza, Qaynuqa and Nadhir,
three of them, they said to Musa alaihi
salam, this looks like the place of the
Hijrat of the last Nabi.
Give us permission to settle here so if
we don't become his helpers, at least our
progeny will become his helpers.
Banu Qaynuqa, Banu Nadhir, Banu Qurayza, these were
the three tribes of Medina Munawwara that were
from the progeny of those people, the followers
of Musa alaihi salam because they knew.
So when they came to the Jews of
Fidak, they said to them, is there any
mention about the last prophet?
So these people brought scriptures and in it,
like I said, I'm cutting it short, there
was a description of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa
sallam.
Yarkabul jamal, yajtazio bil kisra You will see
him, he will come to you riding on
a camel.
He will be a man of great simplicity.
Laysa bil jaad wala bisad His hair will
not be very curly, nor will it be
very straight.
He will not be very tall, nor will
he be short.
He will be of moderate height.
He will have a shining complexion.
There will be red lines in the whiteness
of his eyes.
In other words, exact description of the person
they saw.
The Jews had this with them.
They presented it to these people.
Maysara said to these people, let's go back
now and accept the call of this messenger
of Allah.
They said, listen, we're going back home, we'll
see next year.
What's the hurry?
Delay!
Next year became the next, and then the
next, and then the next, and then the
next, almost 19 years later.
What had passed?
What did he lose?
Badr!
La'allallaha ta'ala ittala ala ahli badrin
faqala ya'malu ma shaytum fa inni ghafartulakum Allah
looked at the Sahaba that took a part
in Badr and said, from now till you
die, do whatever you want.
Jannat is wajib for you.
Allah ta'ala tells us in the Quran,
the Sahaba before Fatih Mecca, conquest of Mecca,
and those after conquest of Mecca will never
be equal.
Such great achievements Maysara had lost.
He comes to Rasulullah s.a.w. on
Hajjatul Wada, the farewell Hajj, and he says,
do you remember me?
My Nabi s.a.w. smiles at him
and says, yes, I remember you.
Reminds him of that incident.
There and there Maysara accepts Islam, and then
the burning question.
The burning question.
Ya Rasulullah, all those that were with me
the first time, they have died now.
Where are they?
My Nabi s.a.w. looked at him
and said, Everyone that has died not on
the Deen of Islam is in Jahannam forever.
So far.
Delay, delay, delay.
Majority of the residents of Hellfire will be
the people of delay, delay, delay.
New Year has come.
Solar calendar, lunar calendar.
New Year has come.
Make shukr to Allah.
One more chance Allah has given us.
One tear of regret.
One tear of regret that will be shed
now over our past lives.
My respected brothers and sisters, by the Qasam
of my Allah.
Such is the mercy of my Allah that
all the sins of the past will be
wiped away.
They talk about New Year resolution.
Make this resolution of Tawbah.
Make this resolution at least five times Salah
with Jamaat.
Make this resolution of bringing about positive change
in our lives.
Allah has given us a chance.
Whether at the next New Year, you and
I will be here or not.
No one has that guarantee.
There is no room for delay.
Allah give us Tawfiq.
