Whom Allah guides, none can misguide him, and
whom He misguides, none can guide him.
And we bear witness that there is no
god but Allah, alone, with no partner.
And we bear witness that our Master, our
Prophet, our Beloved, our Intercessor, and our Sustainer
is Muhammad, His servant and His Messenger.
Allah has said in the Glorious Qur'an
and the Praiseworthy Qur'an, I seek refuge
in Allah from the accursed Satan.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious,
the Most Merciful.
And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, those
are with those upon whom Allah has bestowed
His Grace, the Prophets, the truthful, the witnesses,
and the righteous.
And excellent are those as companions.
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
And the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah
be upon him, said, No one will believe
until his desire is followed by what I
have brought.
Or as the Prophet, peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him, said, Respected scholars, elders,
brothers and sisters in Islam, the reality of
life, what is my and your purpose and
objective in this world?
What motivates us?
What is our goal?
What is success?
What is failure?
If we fail to identify this correctly, then
naturally it is logical that our entire life's
efforts, endeavors and achievements will in reality end
up in total failure.
What the actual goal is, what the objective
is, human beings are wired.
Allah has made us such that we will
strive, we will utilize our time, we will
utilize our energy in that direction which we
have determined is our objective and our goal.
The fact of the matter is the choices
basically are one of two.
Either make your goal that which is temporary,
that which is going to come to an
end.
It's a different matter that Satan, the avowed
enemy of man, took an oath.
He took an oath long before you and
I even came to this world.
فَبِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ He said
to Allah, I take an oath, I will
beautify the embellishments and attractions of this world
for them.
I will bamboozle them, confuse them with the
glitter and the glamour and the lights and
the attraction of this world.
So that that which in reality is constantly
in decline, إِنَّا لَجَعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا سَعِيدًا جُرُزًا
That Allah who created this dunya, before He
created it, announced in His Quran that we
will obliterate and destroy everything in existence.
The reality of this dunya, the reality of
this materialistic world with its universities, with its
industries, with its degrees, with its wealth, with
its opulence, with its glitter, with its glamour,
with its lights.
One basic reality that any person of intelligence
can never deny is that there is absolutely
no permanence in this world.
كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَعَلْ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكْ إِلَّا
وَجْهَا كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَٰئِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ Everything around us,
huge huge buildings كُلُّ بَيْتٍ وَإِنْ طَالَتْ سَلَامَتُهَا
يَوْمًا سَتُتْرِكَهُنَّ الْبَاءُ وَالْحُجَأُ وَالْحُوَبُ Every palatial home
of this world never mind how proud and
erect it may be that day will come
that it will be a dilapidated ruin.
It will become the home of insects and
spiders.
Everything in this world is in decline.
You and I have a choice.
Make your goal and your objective that which
is temporary.
And on the other hand, there is another
journey.
There is another goal.
There is another objective.
And that objective and goal, my respected brothers
and sisters, is never ever coming to an
end.
It is a limitless ocean.
It is the only true reality.
And what is that reality?
That reality is Allah.
Allah is limitless.
سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ
الْحَكِيمُ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ يُحْيِ وَيُمِيدُ وَهُوَ
عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ هُوَ الْأَوَّلُ وَالْآخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ
وَالْبَاطِنُ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ Just this one
verse, look at the magnitude, look at the
majesty, look at the authority of my Allah
when He calls out هُوَ الْأَوَّلُ وَالْآخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ
وَالْبَاطِنُ Our Master ﷺ interpreted these expressions for
us in the form of a dua اللهم
أنت الأول فليس قبلك شيء وأنت الآخر فليس
بعدك شيء وأنت الظاهر فليس فوقك شيء وأنت
الباطن فليس دونك شيء Oh my Allah, You
are the first, before you there is nothing
You are the last, after you there is
nothing You are apparent, above you there is
nothing You are concealed, concealed from you there
is nothing Make the journey of your life,
make the objective of your life On the
one hand, fall into the trap of shaitan
Allah protect you and I and devote our
lives towards this materialistic, temporary world On the
other hand, make Allah the goal Make Allah
the goal Our Master ﷺ delivered this message
in the form of an example The choice
that is facing us He said مَا لِي
وَلِي الدُّنْيَا مَا نَفِي الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا كَرَاكِبٍ اِسْتَذَلَّ
تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ ثُمَّ رَحَ فَتَرَكَهَا He said, What
is there for me in this world?
What is the reality of this world?
He said, I am a traveller I am
a traveller who took rest underneath the shade
of a tree and then left that and
continued on his journey This world is temporary
Allah is permanent What is the goal?
What is the journey of life?
الرحلة إلى الله الرحلة إلى الله Every one
of us is on a journey to find
Allah And when it comes, when we talk
of finding Allah when we talk of finding
Allah we have to understand that this is
intrinsically linked intrinsically linked It can never be
separated Like Hassan bin Thabit رضي الله تعالى
عنه Beautifully praises our master صلى الله عليه
وسلم wherein أَغَرَّ عَلَيْهِ لِلنَّبُوَّةِ خَاتَمُ
مِنَ اللَّهِ مَشْهُدُ يَلُوهُ وَيُشْهِدُ وَذَمَّ الْإِلَٰهُ إِسْمَ
النَّبِيِّ إِلَىٰ إِسْمِهِ إِذَا قَالَ فِي الْخَمْسِ الْمُؤَذِّنُ
أَشْهَدُ وَشَقَّ لَهُ مِنْ إِسْمِهِ لِيُجِلَّهُ فَذُو الْعَرْشِ
مَحْمُودُ وَهَذَا مُحَمَّدُ صلى الله عليه وسلم He
said, The seal of Nubuwat glittered on his
back.
A shining testimony that this is the Nabi
of Allah.
ذَمَّ الْإِلَٰهُ إِسْمَ النَّبِيِّ إِلَىٰ إِسْمِهِ Allah joined
the name, joined His name with the name
of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم as is
attested to by the Muazzin five times every
day.
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهِ And immediately
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَشَقَّ لَهُ مِنْ
إِسْمِهِ لَيُجِلَّهُ Allah broke off a portion of
His name for His beloved Muhammad صلى الله
عليه وسلم so that the owner of the
Arsh His name is Mahmood and he is
Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم intrinsically linked Allah
and His Rasul صلى الله عليه وسلم in
other words you will never find Allah you
will never connect with Allah you will never
get the love of Allah you will never
make Allah your goal and your objective unless
you will tread the road of Muhammad الرسول
الله صلى الله عليه وسلم look at the
cognizance that Quran gives of this Allah, His
Rasul صلى الله عليه وسلم أَتِعُوا اللَّه وَأَتِعُوا
الرَّسُول وَمَنْ يُتيعِ اللَّه وَ الرَّسُول وَمَنْ يُحَادِدِ
اللَّه وَالرَّسُول وَمَنْ يُشَاقِقِ اللَّه وَالرَّسُول بَرَاءةٌ مِنَ
اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَاللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُرْضُو آمِنُوا
بِاللَّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِ إِسْتَجِعُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ Allah, His Rasul
throughout the Quran to such an extent one

journey of life make this your goal Allama
Ibn Taymiyyah rahimuhullah beautifully puts it he says
mahabbat Allah wa rasoolihi min aazami wajibatil iman
wa ajalli qawaidihi wa akbari usoolihi he says
the greatest right the greatest dictate the greatest
wajib the greatest obligation of iman is the
love for Allah and his Rasool sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam this is the foundation this is
the root of deen this is the root
of my and your purpose and objective in
this world bal hiya aslu kulli amalin min
a'malil imani wa deen he said every action
you will do will be judged on this
gradient the love for Allah and his Rasool
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Allama Ibn Taymiyyah rahimuhullah
mahabbat Allah wa rasoolihi he said here ruuhu
kulli maqamin wa manzilatin wa amal he said
this is the soul this is the life
if there's no life if there is no
soul there is no heart it is a
corpse it is dead he said every action
the ruuh and the soul of it is
the love for Allah and his Rasool sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam if there is no true
love for Allah and his Rasool sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam what does Allama Ibn Taymiyyah rahimuhullah
say fahuwa mayyit la roohafi he says he's
a dead corpse he may be walking and
talking but he's dead there's nothing inside la
roohafi there's no soul in him from Allah
mahabbat alahu fala islam alahu there is no
Islam there is no deen without the love
for Allah and his Rasool sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam and this is not Allahu Akbar this
is such a thing such a journey such
an objective that there is a sweetness in
it there is an ecstasy in it that
nothing nothing in this world can compare with
Allama Ibn Taymiyyah rahimuhullah used to say man
wajada mahabbat Allah wajada ha ahlaa min kulli
mahabba he said find Allah and his Rasool
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam find the true love
of Allah experience that there is nothing sweeter
nothing more ecstatic than that in the entire
world hadith of Rasool Allah sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam he said daaqat ta'mal imaan daaqat ta'mal
imaan man daaqat ta'mal imaan man razia billahi
rabba wa bil islami dina wa bi muhammad
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam nabiya the one who
loves Allah and his Rasool sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam has made Islam his way of life
daaqat ta'mal imaan he will taste the ecstasy
of imaan Allah's Rasool sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
he said inna shahwati fee qiyamil layl Allah
has kept my ecstasy in tahajjud salah last
night I mentioned very very commonly we hear
this Allah's Rasool sallallahu alayhi wa sallam jo
'ilat jo'ilat qurratu ayni fissala find Allah
connect with Allah and then musalla in the
Quran in Allah's zikr he said Allah has
kept the coolness of my eyes normally I
mentioned this last night also we normally translate
this coolness of the eyes what does it
actually mean who is being told desert dwellers
they are traveling in the desert they are
not camels camels of a lion buruna illa
ebili kayfa huliqat Allah designed the camel for
desert traveling Allah says look at it it

we realized that after today the sweetness of
salah we won't experience the sweetness of Allah's
tilawat we won't experience the sweetness of the
tilawat of Quran of Allah's zikr of staying
hungry for the sake of Allah there is
an ecstasy ahlaa ahlaa Allama Ibn Taymiyyah said
this is sweeter than any other sweetness or
ecstasy or enjoyment today our youth the both
ears are clogged the body is jiving to
haram music the ummah today 12 one o
'clock in the morning that shaitan box dens
of vices going to places of merriment of
laughter of music of zina searching to try
try to find some ecstatic enjoyment by the
custom of my Allah in this connection with
Allah and his Rasul sallallahu alayhi wasallam Allah
has kept greater ecstasy greater ecstasy there is
no greater enjoyment why because my Allah's zaat
is limitless this is a limitless journey ar
-rihlatu ilallah the question or the criteria my
respected brothers and sisters and my actual message
that Allah give me Allah give you the
understanding claims are very easy I love Allah
I love Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam does it
mean in Rabi'ul awal light a few

Oh Allah Kala Abu Yaqub Laysa be sadiq

Hassan Basri rahimullah qul in kuntum tuhibbun Allah
qul in kuntum tuhibbun Allaha fattabi'uni yuhbibkumu
Allah wa yaghfirlakum zunubakum wallahu ghafoorun rahim tell
them if you love Allah you claim to

nafsi wa innaka la ahabbu ilayya min waladi
wa innaka la ahabbu ilayya min mali wa
inni la akunu fil bayt fa adhkuruka fama
asbir hatta aatika fa anzura ilayk he says
one person came to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam

my wealth more than my children I love

becomes haram my sleep becomes haram I become
restless until I don't come and cool my
heart by looking at your noble countenance today
a troubling thought occurred to me wa idh
dakartu mawti wa mawtak araftu annaka idha mitta
rufi'ata ma'an nabiyyin wa inni idh
dakaltu aljanna khashitu wa laa raak this life
is temporary it's an ephemeral existence mujhe bi
marna hai tujhe bi marna hai ya rasoolallah
you will pass away I will also pass
away innaka mayyit wa innahum mayyitoor ya rasoolallah
you will enjoy the highest ranks and echelons
of paradise if Allah enters me into jannat
I fear because of your high station I
will be deprived of your companionship in jannah
what is he saying in reality what is
the veracity of this kusur anhar whole beautiful
description bounties of jannah he says paradise is
not paradise forget the palaces forget the rivers
forget the streams ya rasoolallah how am I
going to enjoy jannat if I can't find
you in jannah this was love this was
the type of love and shaitan will play

youngsters coming to the masjid they've got a
t-shirt on some movie star some pop

role models that youngster goes to a barber
shop barber makes a mistake next day that's
the new hairstyle youngsters walking around with hair
looking like a porcupine what are you doing
that movie star that pop star that soccer
personality people who in reality every day is
in sharaab every night is in zina morally
bankrupt zero useless marketing and that Nabi who
finished himself for us that Nabi who on
the altar of sacrifice placed everything for his
ummat that Nabi and not a single night
the winds of Medina today they could speak
they would resound this message to the youth
of this ummat of today to the men
of the ummat of today the women of
the ummat of today how he cried ya
rabbi ummati ummati ya rabbi ummati ummati ya
rabbi ummati ummati his cry made the malayika

is the devotion to that Nabi where is
the allegiance to that Nabi show it in

Jannat.
Our mother Aisha radiallahu ta'ala says lam
yuridin nabiyu sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Nabi sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam didn't respond to this.
This declaration of love reached the Arsh of
Allah.
Khatta nazala Jibreel bihazil aaya Jibreel was sent
with this verse of the Quran wa man
yuti'illaha wal rasul fa ulaika ma'alladheena
an'amallahu alayhim min al-nabiyyin wa al
-siddiqin wa al-shuhada'i wa al-saliheen
wa hasuna ulaika rafiqah Ya Rasulullah, I love

And Allah promises you, tomorrow we will raise
you with those whom you truly love.
We will raise you with the Anbiya, with
the Siddiqin, with the Shuhada, with the Saliheen.
I will culminate on the words of Allama
Iqbal, Rahimahullah.
Beautifully he says, Ki Muhammad se wafatoone, to
hum tere hai.
Ye jahan cheez hai kya, lo qalam tere
hai.
Come on to the true wafadari allegiance of
Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
And Allah will be yours.
Allah will be yours.
What is this world?
This world is nothing.
Allah will give you the pen of Taqdeer.
You can write down your own Taqdeer.
Atiullah wa atiurrasul la'allakum turhamoon.
Allah says, Obey Allah and His Rasul sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam.
This is the key, this is the door
for what?
Turhamoon, to open up the door of the
torrential rainfall of the mercy and acceptance and
forgiveness and kindness and protection of Allah.
The key, atiullah wa atiurrasul wa mayyute illaha
warrasul.
It is not a Rabiul Awwal question.
Unfortunately many of us, we have become seasonal
Muslims.
We have become ritualistic Muslims.
Certain periods or occasions, that is not true
Islam.
Every second of every moment of our life
should be devoted to Allah and His Rasul
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

Allah
give us Tawfiq.

al muslimin wa al muslimat.
Wa barik ala muhammadin wa azwajihi wa dhuliyatihi.
Qala an-nabiyu sallallahu alayhi wa sallam arhamu
ummati bi ummati Abu Bakr.
Wa ashadduhum fi amri Allahi Umar.
Wa astaquhum hayyan Uthman.
Wa aqadahum Ali.
Wa Fatimatu sayyidatu nisai ahlil jannah.
Wal hasan wal husayn.
Sayyida shababi ahlil jannah.
Wa hamzatu asadullah wa asadu rasulih.
Allahumma ghfirlil abbas wa waladih.
Ghfiratan zahiratan wa batinatan la tughadiru dhanma.
Radhiyallahu ta'ala anhum.
Wa an kulli as-sahabati ajma'in.
Allaha Allaha fi ashabi.
La tattakhiduhum gharadhan min ba'di.
Faman ahabahum fa bi hubbi ahabahum.
Waman abghadahum fa bi bughdi abghadahum.
Wa khayru ummati qarni.
Thumma allatheeni yalunahum.
Thumma allatheeni yalunahum.
Rabbana aatinaa fil dunyaa hasanaa.
Wa fil akhirati hasanaa.
Waqinaa adhaban naar.
Allahumma izzal islama wal muslimeen.
Allahumma ansuril islama wal muslimeen.
Allahumma ayyidil islama wal muslimeen.
Allahumma ansur ikhwanina almustada'afina almaglumeena fi ghazza.

yita'idhi alqurba.

Wa la dhikru Allahi ta'ala.

Wallahu ya'lamu ma tasna'oon.

Ma kaana ala an-nabiyyi min harajin feema
faradallahu lah.
Sunnata Allahi fil-lazeena khalaw min qabnu wa
kaana amru Allahi qadaran maqdoora.
Al-lazeena yuballighoon risalati Allahi wa yakhshaoonahu wa
na yakhshaoon ahadan illa Allah.
Wa kafa biAllahi haseeba.
Ma kaana Muhammadun abaa ahadin min rijalikum walakin
Rasool Allahi wa khataman nabiyyin wa
kaana Allah bi kulli shay'in alimaa.
Ya ayyuhal-lazeena aamanu dhkurullaha dhikran katheeran
wasabbihuhu bukratan wa aseela.
Huwa allathee yusalli alaykum wa malaikatuhu liyukhrijakum min
az-zulumati ilan wa kaana bil-mu'minin raheem.
