LA, me
awale, your Salam,
respected ramaykaram, elders
and beloved brothers in Islam,
as we are well aware,
we have entered in that period of phase of the Islamic calendar,
which is referred to as The ashwara Hajj. That
is the months of hajj, the
sacred months,
months of great blessing and forgiveness from Allah.
The verse of the Quran, which I have recited in it Allah
has made clear to the entire ummud of rasulallah,
those that have the means
to the extent that the Hajj journey can be carried out by them
and upon them. Allah has made this Hajj first.
And rasulallah find in the Hadith riappa, Sala Islam said man Arad
al Hajj kalau akjil,
so that person upon whom Hajj is Forest,
then he should not delay in carrying out this obligation of
Allah subhanho wa taala,
the warnings
and the severe reprisals which are mentioned in Hadith with regards
to a person failing to fulfill the obligation of Hajj
as such that really one would true Iman cannot possibly
afford to ignore the extent of the warnings of Rasulullah,
sallAllahu, sallam.
Many, many ahadis are there. There is no time to go into the details
the Hadith which I mentioned earlier, Ali Radi Allahu taala,
who says that he heard rasulallah saying
that that person who has the means to perform Hajj
and sufficient time passes upon him, and he fails to fulfill This
obligation, and he dies in this condition. Allah rasoo, salari
salam, who was rahmatulla alameen,
whose entire life, his wealth, everything at his disposal, was
given with the primary and sole objective and aim of saving this
ummat from Jahannam
and making an effort how this entire humanity can come on Iman,
such is the extent
of the disgust and dislike Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam has
for this that he says, pala Ali and yamuda Yahudi and o Nasrani.
And it does not matter to me that ummati of mine, who had the means
to make Hajj and still fail to fulfill this order of Allah. Dala,
it does not matter to me if he dies as a Jew or as a Christian.
That is, if he dies out of the pale of Islam. It does not even
matter to me.
Ahmed Rabbi Allahu, taala, anhu, used to say that a person who dies
in such a condition, you can swear an oath on Allah that He has died
at the kafir, he
says, A person who failed to fulfill the obligation of hajj
when it was far as upon him, Allah subhana wa Taala will raise him up
on the Day of Judgment with the word kafir written on his
forehead.
Unfortunately, we find by respected brothers
that shaitan makes an effort upon us
to delay things all the time.
There are many amongst us that for years Hajj is fuzz upon them. They
have the means to carry out this journey, and yet still they carry
on delaying the intention is there.
But.
At the tabbyat and the manna and the mizraj and the temperament of
the individual is to carry on delaying this.
The verse of the Quran was revealed first tabeul Khairat
Allah says that when it comes to matters of Deen, when it comes to
the matters of Allah's obedience, then compete with one another. Go
ahead. Don't delay, don't hold back. Sabhi Ku ilaam, Rabbi
kumajana. Arduhar sama iwal Allah Dalai says, compete with one
another, race against one another. Hasten forward for what Ila
makshara, Tim me Rabbi kukum va Jannah, towards the Mercy of
Allah, dala, towards the forgiveness of Allah, towards
Jannat, the breath of which is equal to the distance between the
heavens and earth.
And we find this
clearly exhibited in the lives of sahabi kiram virulua Ali majma, in
that they were constantly worried
about competing with one another, that who could go ahead in Amal
this mishaj and temperament of Sahaba
is beautifully elucidated in one incident. May Allah say? This is
like zahini tarjumani, this is like translating what was in the
minds of Sahaba,
where kadada Allahu, Dalin, who says kalimanassum in meaning
Elias, Ila rasulallahu, alayhi wa sallam,
then one group of poor Sahaba came to Rasulullah sallam, And they
said, zahaba, ahlud, Duri, Bill ujuna, wala, Natasha, the way of
Allah, we have a problem. So Allah rasulallah said, What is your
problem? They said, the wealthy ones have gone ahead.
The wealthy ones have gone ahead. Not in dunya.
The concern of Sahaba was not dunya was accurate. They have gone
ahead in accurate. They are spending giving sadaqat. We are
unable to spend in sadaqa
they are spending the way of Allah. They are going for Hajj.
They are going for Umrah. We are unable to do this because we don't
have the means.
So Allahu. Alayhi wa sallam consoled them, and he said to
them, Allah, Atum, Luan, namalat, dunya, would we ABA Abu Asmaa,
baad, Akana, Bala van a Sama,
tell me, Maisa, if you collect all the wealth of the world, all the
gold, all the silver, all the positions of this world and pile
it up, one upon the other. Will it reach right up to the skies? They
said, la ya Rasul Allah, Oh Nabi of Allah, all the world's well put
together, will not reach right up to the sky.
NaVi salaam said to them, afala Kum bishay In a said, if all the
wealth of this Salam. He said, If all the wealth of this world is
fayla, we will not reach up to the skies. But my Sahaba, should I not
show you something? The roots of it, the foundation of it, is on
this earth, and its branches have reached right up to the skies,
right up to the arch of Allah. He said, after every first salah,
seyla, ILAHA, illallah, Allahu Akbar, subhanAllah, Alhamdulillah,
10 times. The roots of this is in the earth. The branches of it will
reach right up to the skies. Another invite. It is mentioned,
he said, Sage Subhanallah, 33 times. Alhamdulillah, 33 times.
Allahu Akbar, 34 times, two, three. Kuna Bihi man Sabah kakum
watashi, Kuna Bihi man, bandakum wala Yan, Abdul Amin Kum Illa is
Asham.
He said, say, 33 times Alhamdulillah, 33 times Allah, 33
times Subhanallah, 33 times Alhamdulillah, 34 times Allahu.
Akbar after every first salah,
Allah will give you so much reward that more than the reward of those
who are spending in the way of Allah, you will go ahead of
everyone else, and no one else will be able to reach you except
the one who does as you are doing.
Such is the extent of the Mercy of Allah, subhanho wa taala, then no
one is possibly deprived. If a person does not have the means to
make Hajj but the sincere intention is there in the heart,
or he does not have the means of spending to put up big, big
masjids. He does not have the means of spending for madrasah. He
doesn't have the means of spending in the path of Allah.
Allah, but he has a sincere intention in the heart. It comes
in one way. On the Day of Judgment, Allah will raise up a
rich man and a poor man who live together. Allah will say to the
rich person, now, go to the highest ranks in Jannat, because
you spent in my way, you made Hajj, you made Umrah, you build
masjid, etc. This poor person will say to Allah, Oh my Allah, Oh my
Allah. Why is he going ahead? Allah will say, he spent in my
way. This poor person will say, Oh Allah, you did not give me the
wealth, and oh my Allah, you know that, Had you given me the wealth,
Had you given me the wealth, I would have done just as he had
done. Allah will say, you also occupy the same rank in general.
That is the extent of the Mercy of Allah, subhanho wa taala. Yet
beyond that, one is just the intention The Miz and the
temperament of Sahaba was to compete with one another. They
could not see anyone going ahead when it came to accurate
Unfortunately, our mishaj and tempraman is that we cannot see
anyone going ahead when it comes to dunya. Hasan Basri, Rahim Allah
used to say Ira Aita rajulan, yunnafi su Kapit dunya, panafi
Akira that if you see someone competing with you in dunya, if
you have got one shop, he wants to open one shop. If you open the
second one, he wants to open the second one. Second one. If you
bring in a certain line from overseas, he wants to bring in the
same line. If you see someone competing with you in dunya, do
not waste your time competing with that person. Compete with him. In
akhirat,
it is said the value, the value of a human being in the sight of
Allah will be determined by that which he aspires for all of us say
inland nufo, they say the nafs of Insan is such that it is wandering
all the time for Kulu bun yaju hawal Ash. There are some hearts
that are wandering around the ash of Allah wa kulubun, yaju whole al
Hush. And there are some hearts that are wandering around the
trash of this world. Some hearts are aspiring for accurate. Some
hearts are aspiring for dunya. This dunya is such that everything
is ash, everything is dust, and everything will return to dust.
Wafocal, Wakulla, wafo kal, ladi, wafokat, turabi, turabu, like the
poet says, wakullahi folkat turabi turabu, that everything on this
earth is sand, and if it is not sand, it will become sand. The
value of a human being is determined in the sight of Allah
by that which he aspires for. If he aspires for accurate, then his
value is greater than accurate. If he aspires for this dunya, which
has no value in the sight of Allah, it comes in one Hadith.
Then on the Day of Judgment, this dunya, this dunya, will say to
Allah, Oh Allah, give me the opportunity. Give me the
opportunity that you put me in one corner, one corner of the Jannat
of a mumin, put me in one corner of the Jannat of a mumin Allah
will say to this dunya that you are not worthy of my Jannat. You
are not worthy of my Jannat. So where is the intelligence in
competing with one another to acquire this dunya, the Mizan
temperament of Sahaba, was to compete and to hasten forward when
it came to accurate. That is why, the moment they heard of any Amal
that has great value, they became worried others are going to go
ahead. What about us? Ayesha Radi Allahu, Taala comes to Rasool,
Allah, sallAllahu, alayhi wa sallam, NARAL jihad. NARAL jihad,
Abdul Amal on Abhi of Allah. On abhi of Allah, we can see so much
of reward has been mentioned for jihad, for striving in the path of
Allah. It is amongst the most virtuous of Amal Abdul Amal, she
says it is the most virtuous Amal AFA la anujahid, should we women
also not make jihad? Let us also take up the swords. Let us also go
to war. Allah consoles, and he says, jihad. Kunal hajjwal Umrah,
you know Aisha, the jihad of the women of my ummat is Haj Umrah, if
you will, make Hajj. And Umrah provided the commands of Allah
dala I adhere to in that hajj and umrah, they even, etc,
then Allah Tala will give you the reward of Hajj Umrah,
in fact, all of us saying that through the blessings of the mercy
of Rasulullah, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, upon his ummat,
whenever there was any Amal which had great reward and the whole
ummat would not be able to carry it out, then such was the
aspiration in the heart.
Of Sahaba, the true Rasulullah, sallAllahu, sallam, other avenues
were open up so that the whole ummat could get the same reward.
Tidmissi Shariat rasulallah, says, mansala fajarafi, jamaatin,
mansala Sum Hafi, jamaatin sulafi musalaahu, yad Kuru, lahat, aala,
shamsala, rakaatin, Kana, Lahu, MIT Lu AJNI, ha ha Jatin,
wamratin, Tamla, Sala Salam, Tama, Tama, Tama. Kaal is any person
makes Fajr and namaz in Jamaat. Thereafter, he remains in the
masjid, engaged in the zikr of Allah, engaged in Ibadah until the
sun rises, Olam, I explained, to the extent of four meters high, or
15 minutes after sunrise. Then he makes two rakat Salah Allah. Rasoo
salari says this person has not put on AAM.
He has not spent 30, 40,000 Rand. He hasn't undertaken a journey of
six or eight weeks. He hasn't borne the heat of hijabs. He has
sat in the masjid, made his Fajr Salah with Jamaat, thereafter, sat
till the time of ishraq in May churrakat, Salah, Allah Rasul Sala
Islam says, Allah will give him the reward of one Hajj and one
Umrah. And to remove any doubt, he said, Tam, complete reward of one
Hajj, complete reward of one Umrah and not Tam. He said, Tam,
Tam, complete. Do not doubt in what I am telling you, halama
says, shihu, Dul Jumuah, yadilah, hajat, they say, just to attend
the Juma salah, a person will get the reward of one. Nafil Hajj,
Saeed bin musayb Rahim Allah used to say Hua habba ilayam inhabit
nafila used to say that I value Juma namaz more than Nafil Hajj.
I value Juma namaz more than Nafil Hajj. Sulafim said one day, if
Hadith Al hajjat Al Juma to hajjatul masakin, that jumaas
namaz Juma salah is the Hajj of the poor people of my ummats.
He said a person who comes early for Juma namaz is like that person
who made Qurani in the Haram during his Hajj.
Hosani mentions that Yunus bin Maisa Rahim Allah once he passed
by a graveyard.
He addressed the resonance of the grave, and he said, assalamu,
Alaikum. Yahan
fakana ilama said peace be upon you, oh residence of these graves,
you have gone ahead. We are coming behind you. May Allah have mercy
on you and on us. May Allah forgive you and us also you have
gone towards where we are going to reach.
Allah return the rule to one of those maids that were buried in
the graveyard, and this person replied to you as bin me salah.
And he said, Tuba ala Kum yahila Dunya Jun official. He
said, Mubarak, glad tidings to you. Are still living in this
dunya, because you are making Hajj four times every month.
He was surprised. He said, Elaine to where are we making this Hajj
four times every month? The replied, came amaten, Yadi Lu
hajatan, Mabu, Ratan, mutaka Bala. Don't you know that every time you
will make Juma namaz, Allah is giving you the reward of one mabur
makhmul Hajj.
He goes on questioning this maid, and he says to him, of all the
Amal that you did, what did you find to be the most beneficial to
you in the court of Allah? He said, Alice Kefar asking Allah for
forgiveness. We found this to be the most beneficial inside of
Allah. Then he said to him, I made Salam to you, you did not reply to
my Salaam. Why didn't you reply? He said, Oh yoness, the
opportunity for Salam, the opportunity for the zikr of Allah,
the opportunity for Ibadan, has been lost to us forever. It is too
late for us. There is no more that opportunity for us. You still have
that opportunity. Appreciate that opportunity. One Hadith, it comes
Manta, taharafi, betihi, summa, Masjid ne adai, salatim, matuba,
that person, a person makes wuzu. Edu.
Om. Then he leaves for the masjid to make his first salah.
Rasulallah said, for Aju mithlu Ajil hajjil muharim Allah is
giving him the reward as he be tied AAM and proceeded for Hajj.
Waman kharaja In assala, ti duha, that person who proceeds to make
charge namaz for aju Mithu, Ajil, mua, Tamir Allah is giving the
reward as he be paying he made Umrah, the Sahaba of the Sula
Vishnu saying, a person who proceeds for Eid ul Fitr for namaz
of Eid ul, fital Allah gives him the reward of one Umrah when he
proceeds for namaz of Eid U duha, that is qurbani. Eid Allah gives
him the reward of one Hajj. Abub in Abdul Hafer used to say that
person who makes his Isha, Salah in Jamaat Allah gives him the
reward of Hajj. A person who makes his Fajr Salah in Jamaat Allah
gives him the reward of Umrah Hasan vari rahe. Allah used to say
mahajati afika ferun Naka mean, Hajja tidja. He used to say that
to walk, to walk, in order to fulfill the need of your Muslim
brother is better for you than Hajj upon Hajj, upon Hajj,
so merciful Allah is
the point we have to understand. Very speckled brothers. Is the
object and the motivation behind these opportunities which Allah is
giving us to gain his forgiveness and to gain His nearness is that
we have to cleanse ourselves.
We have to perfect our Amal. We have to aspire towards Allah. Omar
bin Abdulaziz, Rahim, Allah used to say in nali. Nav Patan used to
say, my nafs is such that it is never at ease. It is always
yearning. It is always aspiring for higher and higher and higher.
Some people are aspiring in dunya. Some people are aspiring in
he said, In the beginning, I aspired towards the knowledge of
Deen. I worked hard in this direction, so Allah gave me
perfection in knowledge.
Then I aspired for the daughter of Abdul Malik, Fatima. I acquired
her also in my marriage. Then he said, This Khilafat came. Now I
have acquired this Khilafat.
Now my nafs
desires that which is higher than Khilafat. Through this Khilafat, I
want to earn Allah. I want to earn the pleasure of Allah. I want to
earn accurate this khutbah he gave at the time when he became
Khalifa, the ruler of three continents of this world. He calls
his wife Fatima, and he says to her
that I have made decision now that through this khilapat of mine, I
want accurate. I don't want this dunya, so I am giving you
permission you can come out of my nikkah.
She says, I stood with you through the difficult time, through the
easy times. Now in the difficult times, how can I forsake you? I
will remain in your nikkah. So he said, If you want to remain in my
Nikkah, then all the gold and all the jewelry which your fathers and
your brothers have given you, which was taken from the wealth of
the Muslims must be given back to the bait mall, then only you can
remain in my Nikah.
Allah explain.
They say more virtuous,
more virtuous than Nafil hajj and umrah
is to fulfill that which Allah has made funds upon us.
Nowadays, people proceed for Hajj and Umrah. Nafil, Hajj, Hajj upon
Hajj, Umrah upon Hai, Umrah. Yet NAMAs are made. Praza on the
journey, command upon command of Allah is broken. Nothing will take
a person closer to Allah than fulfilling that which Allah made,
furs,
one furs, one command of Allah is more important and more virtuous
than Nafil, hajj and umrah.
We find it easy to spend money in sadaqah, to spend money for Hajj
and Umrah. Yet, when we have usurped the rights of other
people, the females, inheritance we have usurped, we are owing
people money. It is further upon us to fulfill that obligation,
that obligation we find it difficult to fulfill yet to.
Open up to put up Masjid to put up madres, as we are finding it easy.
Saeed bin Musayev, Rahim Allah used to say
mimbayak Rahu Allah, ahaba ilayam to leave one Dirham, one coin of
haram to stay away from one coin of haram in your business is
better than making 500 Hajj.
You rather stay away from haram in your business than earning haram
and thereafter, going for Hajj, thereafter, going for Umrah,
thereafter, spending in charity and feeling that you have pleased
Allah.
Rasulallah Islam said, Mayas now, may um Mahad al wait Ilam ya Kun
feel. He said, a person who proceeds to wait Allah for hajj,
there must be three qualities in him. One, on yah jizu, first, he
must develop
the that level of piety, that level of tapa, that in this
journey of hajj, he will not break the Command of Allah. He will not
do anything haram.
Study the hajj that is done nowadays, and then we will
understand why 2 million people go to beit Allah and come back, and
there is no change in their lives. There is no change coming in the
ummats from the time the plane takes off,
come on upon Allah is being broken. That shaitan box on the
plane, the hagis are glaring at it, laughing and joking with
airlessnesses. We're not here to run anybody down, but this is the
reality. And what do we come back with? We go to those Mubarak
places
we witness, the field of Ohad.
We are reminded in Mina of the Qurani, of rasulallah, sallAllahu,
sallam, where he went 10 to 10 coming Hatta. Famine.
Women
stand upon him. People spat upon him. They swore him. Yet he bore
all this so that his ummah could get relied.
We witness all this. We are reminded in hood of the manner in
which the body of the uncle of Rasulullah was desecrated. The
seed of all this Qurani and all the sacrifice comes in front of
us. Yet, what do we return with? From the way to love, what do we
return with from there,
while this
is
he says the time is spent in the bazaars. And what we are told that
by the things of makya and Madina, there's barkhat in these things.
He says that is the trap of shaitan. That is the trap of the
people of batil. Those things, instead of doing what we are
supposed to do over there. We are wasting our time away from the
Beit Allah, away from the Amal, and engaged in frivolous pursuits,
acquired spending time in the bazaars. He used to say that those
things are not made there. They are made away from Makkah and
Madina. They are made by people whose every day is in sharaab and
every night is in Zina. And we say that because we are buying it from
Makkah and Madina, there is barkad in it. If you are interested in
the Barkat of the place, bring the sand of Makkah and Madina. Do not
bring those haram things with where the person bought the plane,
he is already worried about the reaction of the customs official
in South Africa and Allah. Forgive us. How many of us go to those
Mubarak place and bring instruments which assist us in
breaking the Command of Allah?
This is where mockery is being made of Hajj Rasulullah sallallahu
Islam said, if the * does not have three qualities in him, one,
that level of piety, which will stop him from breaking the Command
of Allah in His Hajj,
that level of control and forbearance that will cause him to
control his anger, not start swearing and not start insulting
the people and being a source of difficulty to the people over
there, and he is
not a good companion to those who are traveling with him, if these
three qualities are not in him, Allah, AJ says, Palais salila
hajihi, Allah does not need such a Hajj. Allah doesn't want such a
Hajj. Also,
the object of Hajj is not the Hajj itself. Like the poet says
beautifully. Elekashdi ratival, Hijri pantaswali.
Fi * wa Omari, Wafi ka sai wata, Wafi wa mus Dali fi, he
says, O Allah, you are the goal. You are my goal in my Hajj and my
Umrah, you are my goal in my tawaf and in my sahi and my musdalipha.
I want you
all of our explain. Sale.
Mean sale. Abia, ADIA Adhan. They say that the journey of the heart,
the journey of the heart is more effective than the journey of the
body. Come in, mobile living. Come in Musil in vibani, he love
viveila, they say, how many people, how many people
physically, bodily they have reached the way to Allah, but
their hearts are cut off from the rub of the way to love. How many
people physically have reached the way to Allah, but because of haram
and because of transgression and because I'm not understanding the
value of their place. Their hearts are cut off from the rub of the
way to Allah. And how many people they are who are too poor to go
for Hajj,
they are sitting at home on their beds, but their hearts, for one
second, are not darkfield of Allah. The goal behind this Amal
is Allah and the pleasure of Allah. For that reason, we are
told, those who are proceeding for Hajj spend some time in the path
of Allah, acquire the knowledge of the Messiah of Hajj. Let there be
spiritual preparation before undertaking this journey. And
those who are not proceeding even while you are here, every Juma is
a reminder of Hajj. Every ishraq is a reminder of Hajj. Every Isha
Salah with Jamaat is a reminder of Hajj. Daily Allah is giving you
opportunity upon opportunity. Come closer to your Allah, come closer
to Allah, fulfilling the fanais, that which Allah has made furs
upon you is more important than making Hajj upon Hajj. Upon Hajj,
you.
