All praises belong to Allah
We praise him. We seek his help and
support
in all our matters. And we send peace
and blessings upon our Habib, our beloved prophet
Muhammad sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam. My brothers and
sisters,
welcome to Jumah Khutba summary. The topic of
today's Khutba in Dubai is our tolerant religion.
SubhanAllah, Islam is a way of life that
demands mercy,
that
gives
mercy by the will of Allah
We just finished and said goodbye
to Ramadan.
And one of the powerful lessons
that we learned in Ramadan
is the element of leniency
and mercy.
Mercy is something which is so important
that we learnt in Ramadan.
And this is the reason
we need to actually
manage
to activate
our
values that we learned
in the month of Ramadan. Like,
we learned mercy, we learned forgiveness, we learned
to love each other. We learned unity. We
learned tolerance
in the month of Ramadan.
Although we said goodbye to Ramadan,
we should not say goodbye to the values
that we learnt
in Ramadan.
This is something which is extremely important.
As the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, he said,
the most beloved deeds to Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala
are those which are done continuously,
even though they are little. My brothers and
sisters, we learnt
in Islam that mercy
is something which is so
highly
encouraged to share with each other. That is
the reason
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, he said
something very profound. He said, you will never
enter into Jannah until you believe, and you
will never believe until you love
each other. And he said, shall I tell
you something that will help you to love
each other? He said, Ashfa Salaamu Baynakum,
exchange
the greetings of peace
and mercy.
SubhanAllah,
this is the reason we find my brothers
and sisters,
mercy is so important,
and it has to be,
you know implemented
by making sure that we have mercy on
our elders,
mercy on our younger, mercy on our family,
our neighbors, our colleagues,
our classmates,
our, you know, friends and relatives.
My brothers and sisters, Islam is a religion
that helps
us practice
leniency.
The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, he said, your
religion, Islam,
is easy.
Don't make it so difficult that people will
run away from it. My brothers and sisters,
this is the reason we know from the
hikmah of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala that he
gave just 30 days of Ramadan.
Imagine if Ramadan would have been for 3
months,
4 months. It would be quite difficult for
us.
Therefore, Allah reflected his mercy and gave us
just 1 month of Ramadan to train ourselves,
to teach ourselves, to program ourselves so that
we can practice these beautiful
values
in the future for the next 11 months.
So my brothers and sisters, Islam is a
way of life that,
you know teaches us leniency,
forgiveness,
mercy,
easiness.
Therefore, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala does not
intend or does not desire
for you and me difficulty rather
ease. So Islam is a very easy way
of life
provided we understand it and consider it as
a part of our lifestyle.
SubhanAllah,
My brothers and sisters, let us ensure that
the values that we learned
in Ramadan, we should take it forward for
the next 11 months because that's
the Subhan Allah sign of your and my
Ramadan being accepted.
The sign of you, your deeds and my
deeds in Ramadan
were accepted
is that we continue to do those good
deeds. So, we ask
Allah to have
mercy on us,
to shower his blessings on us and to
grant us the
understanding
of leniency,
easiness,
and
mercy
with each other. We ask Allah Almighty
to grant well-being and goodness to his highness,
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president
of the UAE. Likewise, we ask Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala to grant well-being and goodness to
all the rulers of the Emirates. We ask
Allah Almighty to protect this beautiful nation, the
UAE, from all kinds of evils and harms.
We ask Allah Almighty to have mercy
on all the Muslims across the globe. We
ask Allah Almighty to grant ease for those
struggling Muslims
across the globe. We ask Allah Almighty
to grant us
the best in the hereafter with Jannat al
Firdos.
