In today's program, we are going to talk
about the benefits of using a smartphone to
save your life.
The first thing that can happen is that
if a young person misuses his smartphone, he
can be in danger because his time is
wasted.
This is a very harmful thing for a
Muslim.
In today's program, we are going to talk
about social media and smartphones.
To discuss this topic, we have with us
brother Ahmed Hamid.
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
Walaikum Assalam.
Brother Ahmed, can you shed some light on
this topic?
How can young people who are busy with
social media and smartphones, control themselves and
take advantage of it?
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen.
We know that information and accessibility for everything,
whether it is good or bad, is at
our fingertips.
So, the young people who are living today,
their smartphones contain such things that it is
very important for them to avoid.
Because whether we know it or not, we
are making them net-savvy or technology-savvy,
and they are not able to survive without
a smartphone.
Although a person can live without a smartphone,
but in today's era, the relationship between a
young person and a smartphone is so deep
that it is like a basic need of
a youngster.
So, the first thing that is harmful for
a young person to have a smartphone, if
he misuses it, it can become a threat
because his time is wasted the most.
So, this is the most harmful thing for
a Muslim.
For a Muslim, his time is very precious.
Allah SWT has sworn in the Qur'an,
of the time and the era, Allah has
sworn that all people are in loss.
Except for these four categories of people, Allah
has shown success.
Fundamentally, it is used as a key to
heaven.
But the time is the biggest asset of
a Muslim.
And when our young people get engaged on
smartphones, they don't even realize how many hours
they are spending on it.
If you take any social media tool or
network, you won't even realize how much time
you are spending on it.
If you use the same thing in a
sensible way, it will not harm you, but
it can be very beneficial for you.
But when we talk about harm, the first
harm is that our time is wasted on
it.
The second harm is that we are addicted
to it.
Today, what we call addiction, there is an
addiction to alcohol, there is an addiction to
cigarettes, there is an addiction to drugs.
Similarly, there is an addiction to smartphones.
What does a person want as soon as
he wakes up?
A smartphone.
Who does he touch before going to bed?
A smartphone.
So, a smartphone has become a part of
our lives in such a way that we
cannot live without it.
Today, we see guests entering our house, and
the first thing they ask is, Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi password.
So, we find out that we are living
in such a society, in such a society,
in such a time, where social media can
be beneficial in a different way, and can
cause more harm than good.
This is in our hands.
This is our example, as we give, like
a knife.
You can kill someone with a knife, and
you can also cut vegetables with the same
knife and cook food.
So, let's see how we use it.
So, social media can be a reason for
wasting time, that's why it causes harm.
Social media is becoming an addiction for us,
that's why it causes harm.
In social media, there are such obscenities, and
such things are coming, which are hurting our
eyes.
Our mind is being destroyed.
That is, you are seeing something again and
again, and your mind is being desensitized.
That is, when you see something bad, and
you see it again and again, your heart
loses the feeling that you are seeing something
bad.
This is also a big loss.
We pray to Allah, to make our youth
use it correctly, and to save them from
danger.
