Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato. As well lol handily level salatu salam ala Rasulillah he will bad rubbish Allah and he said that he is certainly somebody who I love that Emily Sani of the holy Robina as a gentleman. Yeah, Kareem. Welcome back to our weekly series that we do on Wednesdays at 12pm. This is your brother I am attending. And we are going through this journey where we see the universe with Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And for those of you that are joining for the first time, just like Allah here for being here, and for those of you that have missed out, we have all of these series available on YouTube. And you can go look them up and also at Facebook. Now,
today's topic, we move from different categories. So if you remember, initially, we talked about multiple categories. And we said that we're going to look at the Rasulullah, sallAllahu, alayhi, wasallam, and his interactions, but in specific, we're going to look at Rasul Allah with inanimate objects, things that are not living, then we're going to move to the category above that, which is plants, vegetation, things that are living, but they're not sentient, they don't have feelings, and they should not move but yet we find that some miraculous things happened with Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam and his interactions with them. Then the next category we're going to look at is animals and
how did Rasul allah sallallahu Sallam interact and deal with animals? And how was the dealings of the animals with Rasulullah sallallahu sallam? So our today's topic we're talking about a very famous story. Almost every single one of you has heard the story, maybe there'll be portions of the story that will be new to many of you. So that you know without any further ado, I want to begin with that. So what you find is that once upon a time, but also the loss of a loved he seldom, he is in his masjid and an old lady she comes to Prophet sallallahu sallam, and she says in Naboo Nina Jacque, my son is a carpenter.
If you wish or Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam I would command my son I will tell him and he will make for you first now Allah come in Baran, he will make for you a member Rasul allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he said, if you wish, go ahead and command him. And lo and behold the whole story the member that was for Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam arrives in Masjid Nabawi. Now, when Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam used to give the head up, or his depths or his, you know, hooked up or his reminders, there was once a tree. Imagine this is the tree, right? There was a tree that Rasul Allah and a tree stump. So imagine a palm tree that has been cut off from its roots, it's been
chopped off and the only thing that is left as the stem and this 10 STEM is now like almost a stump, which is you know, grounded into the ground and they dig dig a hole to put it in the ground that cover it up and it doesn't move. So it is stationary, and Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam can lean on to it. So when he is talking when he is giving reminders, he has something to lean on to put put his elbow on and this was the tree stump that Rasul Allah had for a member. Now, few steps from there, the member, the actual member of Rasulullah salaam, which was made by this person on the command of his mother is there and Rasul allah sallallahu Sallam this one fine day gets on the member for the
first time, and he is giving the speech he's giving his hutzpah and as he's giving the speech, he starts hearing the sound of I mean, as if a baby was whining it's like,
like this type of a sound is coming and as rasool Allah is speaking, the sound of this any in the sound of this whining and crying is increasing in, you know, the volume is increasing, and it's almost competing with the sound of Rasulullah sallallahu sallam, at that point, Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he gets off the member Sahaba they're looking and they're like, What is going on? And then he goes and walks up to that member, or that old member the tree trunk. And rasool Allah hugs that tree for Lama who he hugs it. And the Sahaba they noticed that, you know, there's a conversation going on, they don't know what is going on. They're just like Subhanallah and
it has mentioned that some of them were crying, some of them just were perplexed, like what is going on, right? And then Rasul allah sallallahu sallam, he stops his hotbar.
And he says,
he for Amara Sahaba. He commanded the Sahaba it Vinu go and bury this tree. So they dig up, you know, a grave type of a thing. They take this tree stump out, they put the tree stump in and they cover it, and then imagine all of those habits are waiting us the hotbar is still happening. And then Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam gets back on to the member
And then he says, this tree stump was crying because it missed the vicar. It missed the reminders that I used to give you. The tree stump that was dead would feel nourishment from the reminders that Rasul Allah would give this harvest. It missed that vicar and it missed my curb my closeness to it, and it started crying out of that factor to who so I give that tree a choice. And I told that tree that would you like to be a tree that I plant and you are living and flourishing until the Day of Judgment in this world? Or would you like to be a tree that would like to join me in Jana? Factorial Jana. So the tree says, I would like to be with you in Jannah. And then Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam
carries on his hotbar now this is a really powerful story for all of us. And the lessons that we learned from it is number one, you notice that the NOR and the light, from the reminders the remembrance of Allah Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam or Hadees this Dean, whatever we learn, has an effect. Even on a tree that was supposed to be living now it is dead. Right? This is the only time they say that this was an once upon a time living object that became inanimate, ie died in this world. And Allah subhanaw taala created life in it due to the vicar of Rasulullah sallallahu sallam. So this is so powerful for us that let's not ever take Oh, it's only as a Hebrew hottie class. Oh,
it's only Hadith flan. Oh, it's only knows this hadith is filled with angelic light for you and me, and it is source of food for your heart and my heart. If a dead tree could feel it, then the question for you and me is, how much are we in need of it? Number one. And number two, How hard are our hearts that we do not feel? The hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam creating that spark in our hearts. And this it's a point of reflection for me first and then for every one of us that what when is it that we hear the hadith of Rasulullah? And we're like, wow, I'm like waking up with with a jolt of Amen. It doesn't happen to us? And the answer is simple answer to that is our
hearts require a lot of reformation. May Allah subhanaw taala guide our hearts. The second point that I want to mention over here is you notice that this tree, it missed, it really understood the value of this life. And although it missed the company of Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam it chose the tree chose eternal abode, the eternal life of Jana with Rasulullah sallallahu sallam, over this world. And that tells you that how blessed it are going to be those individuals whom Allah subhanaw taala would allow to be gathered and meet Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam near his held near his lake or the pond that Allah has blessed with Rasulullah sallallahu sallam, and this tree understood the
value and it said, I don't want to be in this world. I want to be with you Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam in Jannah. That's what I longed for. That's what I look forward to. The next part that we learned in this particular story, and this is this is, this is really powerful, which is that if this tree were to become alive,
supposedly, and if this tree could talk to you, for those of you that are watching this now, feel free to comment. And for those of you that watch later, right, put in the comments, if the tree was to come alive, all of a sudden, it's living, and if it comes alive, and it was to come to you and to me, and send a message to us to wake us up, what would be the message that this tree send, send sends to you and me many of the Allama they've actually encapsulated a few of the messages that this tree would give. And I'd be more than happy to see some of the messages that you guys would share over here. But one of the primary messages that the alumni they said this tree would remind us is
that how far have we walked away from the way of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam? How far have we walked away from the remembrance and the car and the teachings of our NABI sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that many times we hear Hadith many times we hear things that were related to us by Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi, wasallam and our own values sometimes our own prejudices our own
biases, our own polar Ristic are polarized views of understanding the religion. They come in the way of what not understanding the Hadith, but they come in the way of respecting that message from allah sallallahu sallam. You see the message that came from Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam a particular Hadith, it could be understood in 123 different ways. It has that possibility of understanding. But what is not acceptable is for the Muslims to have this casual approach to the hadith of Rasul Allah Salah said, Oh, it's only Hadees. Right? You may this agree with that hadith, you may have other evidences. But nowhere do you find in the, in the past during the self, that when a particular
Hadith was mentioned, or when a particular narration was mentioned by Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam that they would have this very nonchalant type of like, whatever, it's just a Hadees. This attitude is not acceptable. No matter where which camps you belong, where you come from. That's irrelevant. The veneration and respecting this hadith would be the message that the street gives you. What will be the message you think that you would take away if the tree was to speak to you, right? Sit down for moments with yourself and think about it? If the tree could speak one day, what would it tell you? And that would be really interesting. Inshallah, I'll see you all next week, Wednesday. 12pm.
We usually do these Wednesdays at 12pm. Every Wednesday and next week, we're going to do some more trees. Some more stories related to trees in sha Allah Tala does that common law Hayden Baraka lofi come?
