فَصَعِقْ مِنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا
مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ نُفِغَ فِيهِ أُخْرَى فَإِذَا
هُمْ قِيَامٌ And then the horn is blown
into him the first time.
فَصَعِقْ meaning everyone, من في السماوات ومن في
الأرض, everyone in this heaven and on the
earth, will be shocked and life will end.
Except those whom Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta
-A'la decrees that they have some time
left.
ثُمَّ نُفِغَ فِيهِ أُخْرَى pointing out there will
be another blow into the horn that will
happen later.
He says Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la
مَا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ
فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَا إِلَى أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْضِيَوْنَ All
they're waiting for is one blow, one sayhah,
that will take their lives as they are
disagreeing or fighting and discussing issues of dunya
and they won't have enough time to make
a wasiyyah and they won't have enough time
to go back to their families and maybe
make amends to things that they needed to
make amends for.
He says Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la
يَوْمَ تَرُجُفُ الرَّاجِفَ تَتْبَعُهَ الرَّاجِفَ When the shake
or the quake hits or occurs followed by
the subsequent shake which is the second nafkha.
He says صلى الله عليه و آله و
صحبه وسلم الحديث كيف أنعم وقد التقم صاحب
القرن القرن وحن جبهته وأصغى سمعه يَنْتَظِرُ أَنْ
يُؤْمَرَ فَيَنْفُخُ How is it that you want
me to be overly joyful and the malak
that was created to blow into the horn
is holding the horn in his hands his
head is down, his ears are open and
he's waiting for Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta
-A'la to tell him to blow into
it so he blows into it فَشَقَّ الْأَمْرُ
عَلَى الصَّحَابَةِ He talked صلى الله عليه وسلم

-Qiyamah so it was difficult for the sahaba
they struggled فَقَالوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَمَا نَقُولُ

فَلَا يَسْمَعُهُ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا مَنْ أَصْغَى إِلَيْهِ فَيَكُونُ
أَوَّلَ مَنْ يُصْعَقُ رَجُلٌ يَلُوطُ حَوْضَهِ ثُمَّ يُصْعَقُنُوا
بَعْدِهِ النَّاسِ He says صلى الله عليه وسلم
and then when it's blown into the horn

audible at the beginning and the first person
to actually be affected by it will be
a person who is mending their helm like
a bin or maybe a bathtub some water
container and he has some material and he's
trying to fix it and trying to get
it ready to be used he looks up
and he listens he hears something and then
he's shocked and then the human race after
that will all join يقول صلى الله عليه
وسلم in another hadith continuing وَلَتَقُومَنَّ السَّاعَةِ وَقَدْ
نَشَرَ الرَّجُلَنِ الثَّوْبِ فَلَا يَتَبَايَعَنِهِ وَلَا يَطُيَّنِهِ and
the day of judgment will occur this first
nafkah will happen and two people have spread
amongst themselves a piece of clothing and they
don't actually ever have a transaction and they
never actually put it away they die before
that وَلَتَقُومَنَّ السَّاعَةِ وَقَدْ عَادَ الرَّجُلُ بِلَبَنِ لَقْحَتِهِ
فَلَا يَطْعَمُهَا and the day of judgment will
occur and a person is going home with
a container of milk to give his family
or to drink in the morning فَلَا يَطْعَمُهَا
and he doesn't make it and they never
drink it وَلَتَقُومَنَّ السَّاعَةِ وَالرَّجُلُ يَلُوطُ حَوضَهُ فَلَا
يُكْمِلُهُمْ what he just talked about and the
day of judgment will occur and a person
is fixing a container or a bin and
he never finishes it وَلَتَقُومَنَّ السَّاعَةِ وَقَدْ رَفَعَ
الرَّجُلُ لُقْمَتَهُ إِلَىٰ فِيهِ فَلَا يَصِلُ إِلَيْهَا وَفَلَا
يَطْعَمُهَا and the day of judgment will occur
and the person has picked up a piece
of food to eat and doesn't make it
to his mouth he doesn't make it that
far, he dies before that happens كَمَا أَخْبَرَ
صَلَىٰ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ صَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمٍ in the
other hadith the Prophet ﷺ يقول فَيُصْعَقُ النَّاسِ
all the people, everyone dies إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ
اللَّهِ except a few of whom Allah SWT
has chosen that they won't amongst them will
be a few of the highest-ranked Mala
'ikah فيَقُولُ اللَّهُ لِمَلَكِ الْمَوْتِ at that point
Allah SWT will say to the angel of
death يَا مَلَكَ الْمَوْتِ اِذْهَبْ فَقْبِضْ رُوحَ نَافِخَ
الصُّورِ go and take the life of the
one who blew into the horn فيَذْهَبُ مَلَكُ
الْمَوْتِ فَيَقْبِضُ رُوحَ نَافِخَ الصُّورِ and he goes
and he takes the life of Israfil as
it says in some of the narrations ثُمَّ
يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ يَا مَلَكَ الْمَوْتِ اِذْهَبْ فَقْبِضْ رُوحَ
عَبْدِ مِكَالِ go and take the life of
the angel Mikael so he goes and he
takes the life of the angel Mikael ثُمَّ
يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ يَا مَلَكَ الْمَوْتِ اِذْهَبْ فَقْبِضْ رُوحَ
عَبْدِ جِبْرِيلِ go and take the life of
Jibreel so he goes and he takes the
life of Jibreel ثُمَّ يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ يَا مَلَكَ
الْمَوْتِ اِقْبِضْ رُوحَ نَفْسِكَ O angel of death,
take the life of yourself فَيَقْبِضُ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ

أَرْبَعِينَ and then 40 goes by أبو هريرة
توزف الحديث وقالوا يا أبا هريرة أربعين ساعة

hours he said I can't say فيقولون يوماً
أربعين يوماً فيقولوا أبيت I don't know فيقولون
أربعين السنة 40 years فيقولوا أبيت I don't
know إنما أربعين من علم الله it doesn't
matter anymore does it doesn't matter if no
one's alive what does it matter if you're
not around you're not conscious anymore it's not
a dream you don't exist in some other
realm you just don't exist anymore كان الله
ولا شيء معه as he says to Allah
it's always been Allah سبحانه وتعالى nothing else
and at that moment it goes back to
that and if you truly understand existence you
know that even now it's the same thing
we're just guests on existence we're just guests
we're just offered a small a very very
short period of time just to enjoy this
experience that is extremely that is out of
this world it's extraordinary if you take a
moment if you step out of your car
if you step out of this journey and
just maybe stand to the side for a
second and just really think about this this
is an extraordinary journey to be on that
you and I have no contribution to whatsoever
we barely understand it we barely even comprehend
what's actually occurring within the world that we
live in and yet this journey is filled
with so many interesting things it is just
packed with all of this beauty that we
don't even comprehend we don't even have time
we don't even stop to look at it
anymore and appreciate for some reason we wake
up to this life and it's just work
just one thing after the other it's like
the world is just preparing you to throw
you through one hurdle and after another hurdle
here's another obstacle you just don't have time
to take a moment to understand you exist
and you didn't do anything for that to
happen and you're going to cease to exist
one day and between ceasing to exist beforehand
and ceasing to exist later is a very
short period of time where you get to
experience things experience things that these senses that
you have are being saturated with experiences you
have the ability to think and to wonder
and to cognitively process what's going around you
within this world it's amazing this is an
amazing experience if you understand it for what
it is if you stop thinking about it
as if somehow you were as if if
we stop looking at it as if somehow
we deserve this or somehow we have the
right to it or that we're entitled to
life that life is somehow this this innate
right that we're owed if you stop looking
at it that way and just seeing that
this is just an amazing opportunity you deal
with it differently and at that moment when
Malak Al-Moht takes his own life nothing
was left so it doesn't matter if it's
40 because Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A
'la doesn't even apply so who cares it's
40 40 from the knowledge of Allah Subh
'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la in another hadith
narrated by Ibn Umar he says they
did not respect Allah or revere Allah or
grant Allah the status of which He deserves
they never understood God properly they just they
just sailed through life really not understanding what
Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la actually
did what He created what this is how
valuable and how impossible this seems and yet
is not understanding that on a day all
of the planets all of the cosmos in
the heavens will be in His hand in
His Yameen Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la
and then on the Mimbar SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam
speaking of this moment when there's no one
left Fa Yaqulu Rabb Ana Al-Jabbar Ayna
Jabbaru Al-Ard Ana Al-Malik Ayna Muluku
Al-Ard Ana Al-Khaliq Ana Al-Qadir
the Prophet Alaihissalam on the Mimbar he's giving
this he's teaching this and he's saying Allah
Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la will call
upon people I am the Jabbar I am
where is the Jabbarin where is the where
is those who would enforce their will upon
others of the earth where are they I
am the king where are the kings of
the earth I am the creator I am
the most capable Ana Al-Aziz Ana Al
-Muqtadir Ana Al-Muhaymin the Prophet Alaihissalam is
saying these words calling upon Allah Subh'anaHu
Wa Ta-A'la and he says with
an Ismail Husna and Abdullah Ibn Umar says
the Mimbar started to kind of move back
and forth the Mimbar the Mimbar which is
something that's not we think is not alive
started to shake under the Prophet Alaihissalam as
he gave this khutbah Ibn Umar would say
I was like he's going to fall the
Mimbar is going to collapse and he's going
to fall he didn't but that's what he
had witnessed and that's what he had seen
Mimbar 40 Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A
'la returns everything back to exactly the way
it was the way it always was where
he is alone Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A
'la no kings no wars no armies no
oppressors and no transgressors no ownership nothing it's
all gone if you are that weak to
the point where a moment will come where
you will not exist anymore there's nothing you
can do about it then maybe the way
that you live your life while you do
exist should be observant and should be respectful
of that moment that will come where nothing
but Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la
is there as it's always been understanding that
really brings a lot of relief offers a
very real and meaningful feeling of comfort that
we are very simple we really we really
never existed before because the way you and
I feel and the reason I'm bringing this
up is the way we feel like this
life is ours and we would like to
live it forever and we are willing to
do anything to take maybe one more second
one more minute just another day just another
few hours anything just extend because we have
this feeling this urge to want to survive
and to live because we don't understand that
we never existed before and very soon we
will not exist again and in between it's
just a very short period of time that
we're here just really use it well just
make sure that you really respect the fact
that you're here a lot of people most
people don't you do understand this, right?
you understand that most Muslims don't we don't
respect the fact that we're alive that you're
granted this ability to be here to breathe
the air to see the color and to
enjoy the tastes and the smells and the
sounds and to be a part of life
knowing that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala granted
you this ability wanting you to know Him
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala throughout this experience want
you to connect with Allah Jalla Jalaluhu to
comprehend what He made and what He made
available to you and the opportunities that He
put in front of you so that when
the moment comes and you're taken away you're
the one who is most grateful for all
of it you're most thankful for all of
this for this simple experience that you're given
the fact that you're alive that's why it
was the ultimate blessing it's not Islam Islam
is the second ultimate blessing the ultimate blessing
is life it's just life the fact that
He granted you Al-Hayy Subhanahu Wa Ta
'ala Al-Muhyi the fact that He granted
you the ability to live that you're alive
because the moment when nothing exists anymore you
can almost hear the silence see no more
noise no one's fighting anymore no one's disagreeing
anymore no one's yelling at the top of
their lungs people like me shut up everyone's
quiet Allah says everyone go to sleep all
of you Fasa'iq everyone is shocked everyone
goes to sleep everyone ceases to exist that's
it it's like this Nafq it's just a
blow into a horn and it's a wave
that hits everybody all at once so we
all go down and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta
'ala spends whatever time time doesn't apply see
even when I use these words it's wrong
I'm totally mistaken I don't even know what
I'm talking about how do I understand existence
when Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is alone
when time doesn't matter anymore because time only
matters to you and I because we're the
ones who need it in order to imagine
something can you imagine something that doesn't have
time can you imagine something that is not
contained in space no so when everyone dies
and no one's around how do you what
do we say that's why I don't know
I have no idea it doesn't matter it
could be 40 centimeters and 40 minutes and
40 bottles I don't it doesn't it doesn't
matter no who cares it doesn't matter anymore
it's Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala his existence
is not something that I have the ability
to comprehend no matter how much time you
spend trying to think about it it's impossible
so if you take away the if you
take away context of us you remove us
from the timeline you completely end time and

like he gave life the first time around
to all that all beings he will grant
life to Nafiq Al-Sur to the Malik
that blows him to the horn and wakes
him up to do the next one and
