AI: Summary ©
They have become breeding grounds, these universities.
They are filled with doubts.
Kufu, shirkism, this, ism that.
Your heart is being pierced
with doubts that come from every direction.
The first step to victory
is a mass campaign that of dawah that
happens among the people, and the vast majority
of people begin to uphold their deed.
Will start, but I wanna say something before
we start.
My brothers and my sisters, I am extremely
humbled to see all of these growing faces
packing up the house of Allah
Right?
I feel very blessed and honored to be
in your presence.
Look at the way we packed out the
house of Allah
Looking at the Masjid from the outside, I
would never think that it's this spacious.
May Allah increase our brothers and sisters who
are part of the Masjid in spreading khair.
Right?
You guys have all come out, my brothers
and my sisters.
I would love for this to be the
case
when there are classes being conducted in your
localities.
Right?
When there are classes being conducted in your
localities, I always love to mention this when
I give lectures in different countries,
in different cities,
to raise awareness about your local masha'if.
We shouldn't only be coming out my brothers
and my sisters when there's an international speaker.
Alhamdulillah. May Allah bless you all for your
wonderful intentions and your goodness that you engage
in.
You have a lot of masha'ikh
within your localities that you can benefit from
immensely.
Allah, these lectures, your imam, go sky high.
However, my brothers and sisters, they will just
come
shooting back down. If we don't keep it
afloat by constantly attending classes.
Right? I have Sheikh Abu Bakr al Zuid
next to me. I know he's probably not
gonna like what I'm about to say. Oh,
allahi, you brothers and sister are very very
fortunate to have someone from amongst you,
graduated,
and is still seeking knowledge. I benefit a
lot from him. Allahu al-'Azim. I don't say
this out of humility.
Right? At tawadu albari dha Allah I mean
it.
In front of me, a Sheikh Farhan.
Right?
Who has been accompanying me everywhere I go.
Out of his humility, he's been serving us.
I should be serving him. And he should
be here,
right?
Delivering this class, and both of them are
better than me.
Wallahi believe this.
In terms of the etiquette, their love for
the deen, and so on and so forth.
May Allah bless them both. And the masha'ikh,
how many have met quite a few of
them?
Benefit from them my brothers and my
sisters. Right? Benefit from them as much as
you can.
Knowledge isn't only for a couple of days
or a couple of sits, it's something that
continues.
And as you guys will come to know,
and you already know this, that a lot
of the challenges and the problems that we
run into,
right, can be prevented through bits and bobs
of knowledge.
Right? May Allah bless you all, Jazakumullah khair
for
turning up in numbers
and packing up the house of Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
Ta'ala. And please make space for your brothers.
Right?
As much as you can. We are at
maximum capacity.
All praise and thanks belongs to Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
And may the peace and blessing of Allah
be upon his servant and final messenger, Muhammad
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
As to our followers, respected brothers and sisters
in Islam, Assalamu Alaikum
Now Sheikh Abutaimia thinks he'll get away with
what he said.
And, the reality is, I
mean it more than what he said,
that I have benefited a lot more than
him,
even though he is younger than me by
years.
And the proof for this is that I
knew him before he knew me.
By the Dalif. We ask Allah,
to accept from us all. We ask Allah
to grant us goodness. And we ask
him to forgive our sins and our shortcomings.
And indeed gathering in the houses of Allah
is a blessing that Allah
bestows upon the believers.
As shaitan,
the first plan he has against the believers
is to keep them away from their deen.
He tries to keep them away from seeking
knowledge.
And if he cannot do that,
he does not want the believers and the
righteous to meet and gather together.
Something like this now, this gathering.
And if you picked up a friend of
yours and you came here,
this gathering defeats a shaitan. And it defeats
his trickery, and it defeats his evil agenda
and plan against the believers and the righteous.
Why? Because when the believers get together,
they share knowledge.
They remind one another about Allah Azza wa
Jal. They inspire and they motivate one another
upon the worship of Allah Azza wa Jal.
And if you commit to something like this
regularly in your life, you will not be
confused about your deen and you will not
find yourself becoming misguided.
When the believers separate,
when there is a great separation and a
great distance between us and we don't meet
regularly together
in the most beloved places, what happens?
That's when sins are on the rise,
disobedience is on the rise, rebellion is on
the rise. And that's how a person eventually
leaves his deen altogether.
So I just wanted to begin with that,
to say that we ask Allah
to continue to inspire within us and grant
us that strength that we attend these houses
and learn and meet up with each other.
Allah there's
sometimes, Wallahi, I've heard this with my own
E. Sometimes
we invite someone to a program or a
charity fundraiser
and the brother responds and says, Nana, I
don't want to go there. I don't want
to see his head.
I don't want to see his head. I
don't want to see him. That's why I'm
not going to Al Masjid.
So he deprived himself of salat and knowledge
and brotherhood and all of this because he
doesn't want to see a couple of heads.
Yet that very same person
will wish the day he dies that those
heads he didn't want to see had attended
his funeral and prayed with him,
or prayed upon him. So have mercy on
one another, love one another, and remove
this
animosity and hatred
that you may have towards a believer, another
Bani Muslim. Right.
I count my time from now. Everything I
said did not start the lecture. So we
begin now insha Allahu ta'ala.
What I wanted to share with you in
a few minutes was
something related
to steps to victory.
What are the steps that the young Muslim,
the believers are supposed to do in order
to move forward
in this victory that Allah
promised us.
And of course, considering
the global events that we are all witnessing
and seeing with our own eyes,
the young Muslim,
the true believer, committed believer is hurt.
He's hurt from the inside and he's frustrated
and he doesn't know what to do.
Some have wild plans in their minds. Some
don't want to do anything.
Some are just over the entire thing.
So is there any guidance in the Quran
in the word of Allah azza wa jal
that guides us out of this despair and
hopelessness that has settled in most of us?
Most definitely
there has to be something in the word
of Allah azza wa jal that guides us
out of this
and actually a road
that at the end of it is victory.
And I'll share with you a couple of
steps according to my time and what I
have. And I want you to do so
through the story of Talut and Jalut.
I don't know how many of you are
familiar with Talut and Jalut, but by the
end you'll get an ID.
The story of Talut and Jalut comes towards
the end of Surat Al Baqarah.
And believe it or not, if it's a
story mentioned in the Quran,
that means the first people that were motivated
and inspired by it would be Nabi
and the companions.
Can you imagine? An Nabi
listening and benefiting
so much from this story, and the Sahaba
benefiting so much from this story that this
story would be a reason for their victory
and their defeat against the enemy.
Incredible stuff. If it was enough for them,
it is way more enough for us.
So we'll begin with this story. Allah says,
Allah Azzawajal, he said, did you receive the
story?
Did you receive the information and pay attention
to the chiefs
and the elite of Bani Israel
when they walked up to a prophet of
theirs and they said to this prophet, can
you appoint for us a king because we
want to do Al Jihad fisabilillah
against the enemy that has occupied our land.
That's a story brothers and sisters and it
is in the Quran.
Just before this so you can understand where
all this is happening,
Musa
and Bani Israel
are finally saved from Firaun and his army.
So Firaoun and the army, they drown
and Bani Israel and Musa alaihis salam have
made it to the other side.
When they made it to the other side,
they began to walk until Allah Azawajal's
commandment came down upon Musa
commanding him
to enter Al Ardu Muqaddesa,
the Holy Land, the blessed land
of Jerusalem.
It was a clear instruction.
Musa
said to the people, look, it's very easy.
Allah is telling us enter. If we enter,
we're going to defeat whoever was in there,
which was al Jabbarin.
A tyrannical mob was inside. Oh, we just
got to enter the gates and we'll take
it.
So Bani Israel, they said to the prophet
Musa
will not enter until they leave.
Anyway, they said we will not enter. They
sat. They said, listen
Musa
you and your Lord can go and fight
by yourself. We're sitting here.
You know what happened as a result?
Allah
deprived them of the blessed land of Jerusalem
for 40 years.
Let me say something.
Disobeying Allah's command
deprived the believers from the blessed land of
Jerusalem.
Disobeying the command of Allah
deprived them from the blessed land of Jerusalem.
And one more time,
the disobedience
to the commandment of Allah
deprived the believers from the blessed land of
Jerusalem.
40 years, during that 40 years, Musa
died, Harun
died.
And the generation that was reeds within that
40 years of being lost in the desert
going in circles
was a pure generation raised upon the hands
of Yusha ibn Noon, who was the young
boy that accompanied Musa
in his journeys and travels.
They were raised upon
the pure teachings of a Tawrah.
They were raised upon a Tawhid.
They were raised upon obedience
because
they didn't see anyone. They didn't mix in
with anyone.
No fabricated ideology entered into that community.
No one from outside with a weed fought
or ideology came in and spread poison and
corruption among them.
They were purely
bred and raised upon
the pure teachings of Musa
alaihis salam that was inna atawhid,
wa taqwa and obedience of Allah.
So a generation like this
after 40 years
deserved victory.
So under the leadership of Yusha'ib An Noon,
they began to fight Al Jabbarim that was
sitting in the occupied land today.
They began to fight them.
They fought them for a couple of days
until it was a Friday.
When Friday came and the sun is setting,
there's a problem
because if the sun sets, we begin Saturday
and Bani Israel in their law, it's not
allowed to work or fight or any action
on a Saturday. They have to sit and
rest.
So Yusha Abin Noon looked at the sun
and he said, antima murah wa ana ma
mur. You are commanded to set and I'm
commanded to continue to fight. And if this
sun sets,
we're in deep trouble because we got to
stop the war. We're almost there. And perhaps
we'll even be defeated if we stopped one
day.
So
Nabi said, when hadith is mentioned in Sahih
al Bukhari,
that the son,
Allah
did something unique to Yusha. And this incident
will never ever be repeated.
Afterwards,
Allah held the sun in its position for
an hour.
It did not move.
And they completed and finished that war. And
they declared victory against Al Jabbarin.
And they entered the blessed land of Jerusalem
afterwards the sunset.
Many years go by, Ubani Israel are committed
and strong upon the deen and obedience,
whatever you
need. Many years go by and their commitment
upon a deen begins to relax.
It weakens.
Shirk spreads among them.
Innovation
spread among them.
A sunnah and the pure teachings begins to
die and deteriorate slowly slowly.
And the way of Allah Azza wa Jal
with any nation, once they lose holding their
deen, they no longer deserve victory.
So Allah Azzawajal would send upon Bani Israel,
who are the believers at the time,
a tyrannical mob
from Baabil, which is known as Iraq today.
They enter and they destroy them altogether.
They took their children as prisoners of war,
and the men and the women were forced
to flee and leave the blessed land of
of Jerusalem.
They ended up somewhere in what is known
today as Jordan.
Now in this story of Talut al Jalut,
Allah
said,
Did you not receive the news
of the chiefs of Bani Israel
that came to a prophet of theirs
asking him
that Allah appoint for them a king that
would lead them back into the holy land
declaring Al Jihad upon whoever was in there.
That's where we are in the story.
Now there's a prophet many years go by.
The prophet that they will come to, his
name is Samuael,
Samuam
But I want you to pay attention.
There's
words here that will point to and will
reflect over
and they will be the steps to victory.
Pay attention now.
Allah said
the Chiefs of Bani Israel
came to a prophet of theirs
and they asked him,
can you appoint
a king for us so that we can
fight in the way of Allah?
The first step to victory is to reflect
over the word Al Mala, the Chiefs,
the elite.
Usually in the Quran,
Al Mala
are the people that are against their prophets.
Al Mala,
they kill the prophets.
They degrade the prophets.
And they insult and they degrade their prophets.
That's what the malah
does. Allah would say,
The chiefs
of the nation that had rebelled.
That disbelieved.
But in this surah, in this passage, there's
something unique about the malah.
Al malah are your rich and famous people.
Al malah
of today, for example, they're the likes of
Elon Musk. They're the likes of Bill Gates.
They're the likes of Trump and so on.
These are the Mallah of today.
Can you understand with me that Al Mallah
went to a Prophet
and said to him appoint a king, we
want to fight Faisabilillah.
What does that mean?
If the malah became committed upon their deen
so much so that they're not just willing
to pray and fast, they've already done that.
They are now willing to establish
the peak of Al Islam and Jihadu fisabilillah.
So what does that tell you about everyone
underneath them? Because the first people that accept
the message of a prophet are the poor
and the weak.
So if Al Malah have accepted Al Islam,
that means
the entire community,
the majority
of them were steadfast
holding upon their deen.
That's the first step
in attaining victory.
They were upholding their deen.
Today,
there is a wrong
misunderstanding
among many of the young youth.
This step they want to ignore.
They don't want this step. This step seems
to be very difficult.
How are we going to get everyone to
accept Islam
and get everyone committed and so on?
Because you see the idea is if Al
Mallah embraced
and upheld adeen,
what does that mean? What does it mean?
It means just before this, there was a
mass campaign of dawah.
Dawah was raging in that community.
The Dua'at, the Khubaba'at,
the Masayikh, the scholars, all of them were
active.
They were delivering the message in every corner
until the malah heard it,
until the malah heard the message and accepted.
And they become so righteous, they want the
peak of Islam established among them.
The problem with a lot of the youth
today
is that they do this.
They will accuse Al Bashayikh,
the people of knowledge and the scholars.
Look at the shirk. He's still sitting on
the chair teaching, thinking that's a road to
victory.
Don't you hear that
from some of us we talk like this?
Look at these shirk wasting their time
sitting and teaching us.
Wahad al Aalam sitting,
wasting his time talking about wiping off the
socks and speaking about the periods of women.
Thinking that if we ignore all these chapters
in Islam, somehow Allah will give us victory.
That is a misunderstanding
corrected.
The first step to victory
is a mass campaign
of dawah that happens among the people and
the vast majority of people begin to uphold
their deen.
Obedience to Allah
Sin among them becomes very little.
The rebellious and the sinners
become worried and scared and run away and
do their sin in private.
Today, today in the situation we're in,
the one that does the sin,
it's so public
that even if a guy
wanted to speak about a sin and condemn
it, he's worried. What are they going to
say about me? They will cancel me. What
criticism will I get? You know what? Forget
it.
Shufu, the level has reached
where as
a teacher,
as a person that is delivering the message
of Allah, I'm worried.
Should I condemn
this sin among them or just leave it
bro? Just leave it so we can bring
them all in.
If the masheikh
and the people of knowledge have reached this
state,
that's an indication that there is a lot
of corruption against amongst
us. And that needs to be resolved.
We need to understand that commitment upon the
deal of Allah is the first matter on
the road to victory.
So we need to
honor
these efforts and we ourselves
take what we benefit from a lecture and
spread it.
Spread the teachings of Allah
in every corner of the globe.
Start with yourself and your family and everyone
you know
until the message reaches the elite, those above
us.
And we do that. And that's the first
step.
People today think that if the evil evil
was eliminated,
then this is how we attain victory.
Somehow the evil should eliminate itself.
Somehow the evil should just pack up and
go somewhere.
What happens then? By Allah I asked you,
if the evil around the globe packed up
and left
what belongs to us, imagine that happened. What
do you think is going to happen the
next day? Do you think everyone's going to
become righteous all of a sudden? Everyone becomes
obedient to Allah
The first step
is commitment upon a deen. The second thing
is this,
this malah, the elite, they came to a
prophet of theirs
and asked him
to appoint for them a king so that
they can fight.
The second
step in the road to victory
is to respect
the scholars and the people of knowledge among
you.
They respected the prophet.
They honored the prophet.
They went to him
for decisions.
They went to him for knowledge and advice
on the global situation they were facing.
Today,
many of our young youth
are completely opposite to that, I. E. Statements.
People cursing profit. Keep people cursing
the people of knowledge among them.
People slandering the people of knowledge and the
scholars
amongst them,
people slandering and cursing them, accusing them of
all sorts.
And there is no victory
if among us are not respected.
Allah,
he says,
are those who have taqwa and piety to
Allah,
If they are not respected,
Allah
he says
Whoever
whoever declares
war and an enmity
to a Wali of Allah, to a friend
of Allah, like Al Ulamah and the people
of knowledge,
then Allah has declared war against them. Where
is victory going to come? If war has
been declared against us by Allah
for not respecting and honoring our ulama.
The scholar
and the people of knowledge among the people
are extremely important. They are the bedrock of
society.
Wallahi, they are the bedrock of society.
And for Bayl ibn Ayyab, he said Islam
He said, the people, the bearers of the
Quran, those who carry the Quran and the
knowledge,
they are similar to the flag bearer on
the battlefield.
You know what that means?
You know what that means? You know the
flag bearer
on the battlefield when the Muslim commander is
holding the flag,
the believers are fighting. They're all comfortable because
the flags up. If the flags up, things
are good.
Once there becomes disunity in the lines,
chaos among the believers,
you know what they do? The believers on
a battlefield, they will all run towards where
the flag is.
They will run to the flag
and they will regroup at the flag. And
then they dispersed once again. They built their
strength at the flag.
When Al Fudayl ibn Ayad said
that the scholar,
the people of knowledge, the people of Quran,
they are the flag bearers,
meaning in society
among us when there is filth and corruption
and transgression
and injustice,
people are supposed to run to their scholars
and their people of knowledge.
They're supposed to regroup at their feet.
They're supposed to take their advice and instruction
from them. Afterwards, they disperse.
How can we attain victory
if Hamid al Quran,
the one who's holding this knowledge, the scholar
and the people of knowledge among us
ashamed
and disrespected
and accused of all sorts of matters. Yes,
I'm not telling you every scholar and every
person of knowledge is an angel. We're not
saying that. And we know among the scholars
and the people of knowledge, there are misguided
individuals
that want harm and evil for you.
But don't you dare fall into that camp
that generalizes and puts every shah under the
bus
and that they're all no good
and that they're all thieves
and that they're all here and we're not.
And they're taking our money.
They take our time.
We don't benefit.
The Ummah is in its position because of
them and them and them.
This is a community
that does not respect their scholar. There is
no zeal victory for them. So we need
to shape up this understanding
and understand perfectly,
clearly
that the second matter that is discussed,
unless
the believers
respect
the people of knowledge among them,
there is no victory.
Then they said to him,
appoint for us a king
so that we can fight in the cause
of Allah.
Meaning, the 3rd step in the road to
victory for the believers to understand
what unity is.
Appoint for us one king.
We want to unite under him and then
establish the fighting fisavilillah.
Because
if the matter is left for each and
every single one of us to decide whatever
you like,
we have over a 1000000 IDs.
Every single person will have his own ID,
his own plan, his own agenda, or you
get to nothing.
The believers must unite just like the disbelievers
unite.
Once they unite, their attack is solid.
When the believers unite under the leadership of
1 man
that will lead them into that
situation
and that path,
that would be a step towards victory.
And why appoint for us a king? Because
they realize and they recognize
fighting is
not allowed without permission.
The offensive fighting, it is not allowed without
permission.
So appoint for us a king who will
give us permission to do so.
And this is a step.
Many of the youth have a problem in
their mind
thinking I can do what I want whenever
I want.
And if you were to look at Sirat
Nabi
you'll find the individuals in that Sira would
walk up to Nabi give me permission that
I do such and such.
Give us permission. A man would come. He
says, You Rasool Allah, I want to go
with you.
Nabi says, Are your parents alive? He says,
yes. He goes back. Go back and fight
for their cause.
And this man is deprived of al Jihad
fee savehilillah.
He doesn't complain. He goes because this requires
permission.
No permission,
no going. You may think it's a noble
cause for yourself, but it will not be.
This is what Allah is teaching us.
The 4th matter,
for the cause of Allah is in sincerity.
There must be sincerity.
That's the 4th
matter on the road towards victory.
Sincerity for Omar's
sake.
We don't we're not interested in the appreciation
or in the acceptance of others.
Allah Asojal then he says,
The prophet says to them, are you people
sure?
Perhaps
if I did request this from Allah,
that he appoint a king for you and
you're on your way to the holy land.
Perhaps if I do that, you people may
back up. You people may back out and
run away.
He sensed
that his community is full of talk.
He sensed it. So he asked them this.
They said,
They said to him, no, how can we
back out?
That's our land.
Our children have been taken, of course,
alongside Fi Sabi lillah, we've got a lot
to fight for. It's our land. It's our
people. We've got every reason to go. You
Allah Bismillah, let's do
it. Okay.
The Prophet comes back to them and says
to them, indeed Allah, He's just about to
appoint a king for you. And this matter
that you wanted has been legislated. You know
what happened?
All of them ran away,
except a few.
The community was all talk.
When
when the real time came,
the community was all talk.
And from now on, Allah
will begin to filter out until he gets
the pure 314
believers that will stand against Jalut and eventually
destroy him. And I'm going to end with
one final point
since my time is coming up.
Afterwards, of course, Barut was appointed as a
king.
Osama bin mentioned they were 800,000
at the beginning.
When they turned away,
they turned they ended up 8,000.
Then some of them did not agree for
Talut to be a king. So they said,
we didn't accept his leadership.
We didn't accept his leadership.
The prophet tried to convince them that this
is what Allah chose for you. You gotta
take it. They didn't accept it because he
wasn't a person of money and fame. They
don't want him. So from the 8,000,
it was also reduced to 800.
Final 800,
they move on with Barut
and they're about to enter the holy lands.
So as they're going,
Barut, the king stops them. This is just
a step before victory. And he gathers them
all. He says to them,
listen. He says to them,
He said to them, listen,
Allah is going to test us with a
river now.
As we're on our way, 800 of us
towards
Baytul Maqdis,
and we have achieved all the steps to
victory, we're just moments away.
Allah
has now decreed that he's going to test
us all. What What is he going to
test us with? A river.
A river is going to come on the
way. And you know, when you've been traveling
for so long and you see a river,
beautiful water,
pure spring water, cold
And the throat is dry and the person
is hungry and thirsty. What do you do?
You rush to this water and you begin
to drink and drink.
Insha'Allah, we first drink.
Big fitna, the water becomes in Ramadan, right?
That's what's happening now. This river is going
to be a huge fitna.
Watch this.
Then he gave him the conditions. He said,
listen,
whoever drinks from it
will not qualify to be with me. He's
going to go back.
Such a person will not qualify.
And if you cannot hold yourself and resist
this desire and urge to drink,
Then Allah has given you permission to drink
1 handful only.
That's it. So they walk. They get to
the water. What happens?
All of them drink.
Except a few.
And this few,
he mentions that they were the same number
as the believers within the Risa in the
barrel of Badr.
314.
We went from 800,000
to 314
pure believers.
We don't need to change all of us.
We need to change some of us in
order to attain this victory. Listen to what
happens. But even those who did not drink
or those that made it 314
are 2 groups.
Believe it or not, some drank one handful,
and the others
didn't drink anything.
They drank they were able to hold themselves
at a moment of desire. Why was this
test there?
Because if you can't hold yourself from a
bit of water that is in front of
you, how are you gonna face Jerud?
If you can't control if we can't control
our desire from the temptations of this worldly
life, what
what
what victory are you dreaming of?
What victory are we dreaming of? This is
mine. And I give you this misconception
among a lot of the youth. You know,
when we share the quote of
and we say that Ibn Qayyim Rahimahullah said
Jihad and nafs is more important than jihad
and adu. He said that the jihad of
the nafs is more important than the jihad
of the enemy. What does the young boy
say?
Sell out, sell out. Look at us teaching
us the Jihad and nafs and the Jihad
of the Addu brother. We want to fight
the Jihad of the brother, the Addu.
We want to fight the enemy. What is
he talking about? Jihad and nafs?
They didn't understand where this concept comes from.
This is where it came from. It came
from this area.
If you couldn't control
and resist
just a little bit of water in front
of you,
how are you prepared to give your life?
So he believer must not fool himself.
And you know what happens, SubhanAllah?
Those who drank more than one handful,
Abin al Qayyim Raheem,
Abin Abbas
said their thirst was not quenched.
They remained thirsty.
Those that drank 1 handful,
they were quenched.
They did not feel thirsty afterwards.
You know why? Because Al Haram does not
satisfy.
Well, halal,
a little bit of it is enough.
And if you look at the situation of
people that do haram, are they ever satisfied
and happy?
They are not. Look at the people that
sit in the bars
and in the pubs.
There's 10 cups of
of alcohol in front of him, and he's
still thirsty.
There's not one cup. There's 10 cups in
front of there. They bring it in, in
the barrels they bring it. Not in little
hard up, in barrels they bring it.
Why? Because that haram doesn't satisfy.
It will not satisfy. It won't fill you.
Look at the one who commits a zina,
ask Allah to save us.
You think a person tries a zina once
and never again? That would be someone blessed
by Allah
and perhaps he makes a Tawbah. But the
vast majority,
what do they call it? They call it
the body
count. How much body count?
Hazrat Haram is all about that.
You do not become satisfied from haram.
The one who makes money in haram,
wallahi, he'll be sitting on 1,000,000 and he's
still not content.
Meanwhile, look at the one who, like they
brought us a bottle of water.
Like just a little bit from top was
enough. Al halal satisfies.
The one who's earning a halal income, alhamdulillah,
is satisfied.
That is the reality.
The one who marries 1, tabaqi, if one
is not enough, up to 4 is enough.
And you'll be satisfied.
You won't look for more.
You understand? Yeah, I mean what all this
is about is that if you cannot
control your desire from Al Haram,
no victory is on the road.
No victory is on the road.
Halt.
Restrain yourself especially when it comes to Al
Haram.
And with Al Mubah, the Permissal,
take as much as you need from it
for your dunya. And don't forget Allah, don't
forget your responsibilities,
don't forget your obligations.
Afterwards,
314
people were able to enter
Al Masjid.
Dawud alaihis salam was among them. He killed
Jalut, and Allah
made him a prophet, and he gave him
kingdom. And the believers
took Masjid al Aqsa, the holy land of
Jerusalem, for many years after that. That's something
brief. A few points that I had and
I was able to share with you in
a few minutes. I ask Allah Azzawajal to
grant us goodness and acceptance.
Please quieten down,
brothers.
Brothers and sisters, please quieten down.
Please, everyone, sit down.
Honestly, you guys have done amazing.
I'm going to keep it short, Inshallah.
And then we would have our panel discussion
with the
Sheikh. My beloved brothers and sisters,
I want to speak about a different type
of trick that the devil has up his
sleeve.
Taken from Surah Al Araf, which has a
very special relationship with
the sins that an individual commits,
and the clothes that comes off
an individual
upon doing their sin.
Shyness my brothers and my sisters,
is interlinked
with the clothes that an individual wears, and
the clothes that eventually
come off.
This is what I want to speak about
today, inshallah taken
from Surah Al A'raf.
Surah
Al A'raf my brothers and my sisters,
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala he tells us about
the tricks and the traps of the devil.
We know and everyone is aware of this
my brothers and my sisters.
How
Iblis
took an oath.
He swore by Allah.
Allah
expelled the devil
from paradise,
and then he took an oath. And Allah
allowed him to accomplish the plans that he
had in mind.
Laqudan
nalaum
sirataqalmustateen.
I am going to
get in between
all of these human beings,
the scholars of tafsir, they mention Kitabullah,
the book of Allah
He's going to get in between you
and your salvation.
Your success my brothers and my sisters in
this dunya,
is found in the book.
We discuss
modern day ideologies
all the time.
All of these different isms and schisms,
that look for ways to structure your life.
Wallahi they are filled with discrepancies,
contradictions, and flaws.
The devil knows
it's the book of Allah
The Quran,
if I distance them from that,
I will be able to overpower them, and
take over their minds.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
He quotes
the devil,
Iblis my brothers and my sisters,
he swears that he will come
from the front,
also from the back, from the right, and
likewise from the left.
Ibn
Abbas
my brothers and my sisters,
he says,
The devil coming from the front,
I'm going to give them doubts about the
hiraftah.
From the back,
I will cause them to become enticed by
the glitters and the glamours of this world.
As I'm going through this my brothers and
my sisters,
you can measure,
you can make the calculations of where we
stand with the devil.
I will give them doubts about their religion.
They will be in a state of confusion.
Isn't this exactly what we see today my
brothers and my sisters?
We are being targeted from every direction.
Sheikh Abu Bakr can also testify to this
when he goes to the MSA, they are
filled with doubts.
They have become breeding grounds, these universities.
Kufr, shirkism, thisism, that.
Your heart is being pierced
with doubts that come from every direction.
The professor does not care what religion you
have.
He is looking to strip that off of
you. This is the reality that we have
on the ground my brothers and my sisters.
He will also come from the left.
Hasan al Basir
said,
evil sins,
right?
He will instruct you my brothers and my
sisters
to fall into that.
And He will encourage you,
beautify it for you.
My brothers and my sisters,
when Iblis came to our
father Adam and Eve.
It's Adam and Eve brothers, not Adam and
Steve.
Right? When he came to Adam and Eve,
my brothers and my sisters,
do you think he said to them, this
is haram? This is displeasing to Allah
Go and do it.
He beautified it for them.
In fact my brothers and my sisters, he
took
a If you just look at this verse,
the amount of
He took
Right?
It is further emphasis that I'm telling the
truth, Adam and Eve.
These lambs.
Again emphasis,
I am indeed
a sincere advisor.
Beautifying it for you my brothers and my
sisters.
Looking for ways to trap you. This is
the devil.
I've mentioned this example a couple of times,
how we get trapped my brothers and my
sisters with social media today,
when the opposite gender
slips into your DMs.
Right?
One thing leads to another and the shaytan
is whispering,
convert
that Australian lady.
She will put on the hijab.
Right?
She will put on the hijab.
Sahih.
And then my brothers, you're tricked and you're
trapped.
Eventually her body ends up giving you dawah.
Right?
With everything that she ends up sending you
away, my brothers and my sisters.
Right.
The clothes came off
Adam and Eve, and they were expelled from
Paradise.
I want to stand over this verse my
brothers and my sisters.
Where Allah
says,
In this verse, my brothers and my sisters,
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, he talks about 2
types of clothing.
The clothing that Allah azzawajal
sent down
as a blessing
for us to cover our private parts.
This is very well known. It doesn't require
for it to be spelled out.
We are all here wearing clothes.
And then also Allah
talked about,
The clothing of taqwa. Think about it. Can
you wear a taqwa, my brothers and my
sisters? The same way you put on your
trousers and your top?
The messenger
told us about taqwa is from the actions
of the heart. He pointed to his thoughts
and he said,
Taqwa is here.
So what is the relation between the two
my brothers and my sisters?
This wasn't out of Abbath.
By coincidence, when Allah talked about
these two types of clothing, and I'm going
to show you all the connection.
And how this is intertwined
and linked with one's shyness. A lot of
the time when we speak about shyness,
all the brothers think, oh he's speaking about
the sisters.
The Messenger
was a makana.
Right? He was a shadda hayan.
He was more shy,
more bashful.
Right?
Then a virgin inside of her khidr,
inside of a chamber, inside of a room.
Did you know my brothers and my sisters,
the elite of the past, forget about now.
The morality, compass, what is shifting over time?
What was seen as
absolutely despicable once upon a time, with the
shift in morality, it is being normalized. I'm
going to come on to that in a
moment.
Right?
The elites,
they would
keep their women,
right? Away from the eyes of the public,
as a way to preserve her.
These are non Muslims my brothers and my
sisters.
Right?
As much as they could, they would keep
them out
of sight.
SubhanAllah.
So what is the connection between the 2
my brothers and my sisters, and how does
it affect shyness?
My brothers and my sisters, let me all
give you this scenario.
Every single one of us, once upon a
time
and this is still the case insha Allah
That when we were told to approach a
woman
or vice versa,
we would feel extremely uncomfortable.
We would be very hesitant.
Right?
And if we did speak to the opposite
gender,
we will fluff our words,
sahih.
Let's use the university as an example.
What happens my brothers and my sisters,
the first day when you've started these schools,
right?
Everyone
has boundaries.
They are away from one another. But the
more
we mix with one another, would you agree
my brothers and my sisters,
that the shyness becomes more and more less.
Right?
The first day might be,
hi.
And then it's bye the next day.
Right?
Next morning,
hi. How are you?
As he's leaving the school or work, bye,
enjoy your night.
One thing leads to another my brothers and
my sisters.
Right? And shyness
goes hand in hand with the issue of
a taqwa, my brothers and my sisters.
The shyness
serves as a deterrent
from haram.
The same way the prayer my brothers and
my sisters
protects you
from filth and evil. I use this example
all the time.
The salahi removes the filth and the evil
from your life. That's why even tell drug
dealers do this.
Doesn't matter what you're doing.
Salah is there to remove the filth and
the evil from your lives.
Right?
Shyness is similar to that.
The hadith that many of us have memorized
from 40 hadith of Imam al Nawi.
If you don't have shyness,
then go and do as you wish. The
scholars they explained this,
and they gave it numerous interpretations. One of
them is a tahideed.
It's a threat.
You don't have shyness?
Go do what you want, and see what
happens.
Like when Allah says,
Go and do as I wish. Does that
mean,
Go and sleep around, and commit haram, and
drug deal, and Don't worry. It's fine. Is
that what it means? Even though you're being
commanded here. Or Surah Al Firkuh, not every
commandment in the Quran is always an obligation
upon you to go and do it.
Right?
Sometimes it comes with the meaning of tahadeed.
Allah says, Whoever from amongst you go and
believe, and whoever from amongst you go and
disbelieve. Does that mean go do it? See
what's gonna happen after.
Is being prepared.
That's one of the meanings. The other meaning
my brothers and my sisters of this hadith,
cut is very very moist on our tongues.
Right?
I even sometimes hear
journalist
using it.
I think one time I heard it on
Al Jazeera.
And you know what he said? As the
goes, the example that is normally mentioned. Habibi
is the statement of the prophet
That's how widespread it is.
If you have no shyness, go and do
as you wish.
Right?
The other meaning is my brothers and my
sisters,
as long as you have shyness, it is
going to prevent you
from the haram.
Right?
It's going to prevent you from being degenerate,
engaging in filth, and evil, and that which
is abhorrent.
Right?
So the more you mix,
the more my brothers and sisters,
you engage, and you flirt, and you get
comfortable.
Your taqwa,
your shyness is reducing alongside your taqwa, my
brothers and Mas'idiah, affects it. Because taqwa is
what?
Right? We hear about taqwa all the time,
and translating it as fear doesn't give it
its true justice, my brothers and my sisters.
Abidil,
it is only an element of it.
Ibn Razi
says,
It is to place a shield
between you and that which you fear. What
is it that we fear? We fear the
punishment of Allah aasawasawaihi wa sallam.
This is,
right?
Like you're on the battlefield. Right?
Protecting yourself from the arrows of the army.
To do what Allah told you to do
and to stay away from what Allah told
you to stay away from.
Right?
Subhanallah. So the more that happens,
first it was just, hi, bye, how are
you, whatever. Tomorrow it's hugs.
Right? It's hugs, so casually.
This is how they greet one another, and
then it infiltrated
into us my brothers and my sisters.
Right?
As the taqwa reduces my brothers and my
sisters,
2 types of clothing Allah spoke about, right?
The clothing that you use to cover your
private parts,
and the clothing of taqwa.
Zaalikakayr
Allah says, that is better for you.
As your taqwa reduces,
the more and more you get comfortable with
the opposite gender.
The more you will see you taking off
your clothing one after the other.
This is for both men and women.
Right? Isn't that exactly what happens?
One thing leads to another, and eventually the
clothes comes off after the taqwa has diminished.
Right? And you know my brothers and my
sisters, in Surat An Nur,
it all begins to make so much more
sense. Right?
Both the believing men and women,
Tell the believing men and the believing women
to both lower their gaze.
Right?
Lower your gaze
and safeguard your private part. This was mentioned
before safeguarding your private part.
A lot of the time, the kind of
responses we get, brother, we are in 2024.
Right? It's for the deserts, for back in
the day. We're living in a different time
and place.
You were taught to lower your gaze. You
lower your gaze, you will protect your private
parts.
Right? What the eyes can't see, the heart
won't desire.
What the eyes can't see, the heart won't
desire.
They are all interlinked with one another. Can
you see now my brothers and my sisters?
That guy who walked into work, the one
who went into university,
one thing led to another,
the taqal reduced, and then the clothing eventually
came off.
Right?
You know what Ibn Uqayim
says my brothers and my sisters, and this
is why I decided to speak about this.
He says,
The root cause of every evil and calamity.
And it's from the greatest of causes
that
brings about punishments that will take away everyone.
And likewise, subhanAllah,
he says,
on a specific level and on a general
level, it will destroy.
Right?
The intermingling
that you see taking place,
right?
It is the cause of thahisha,
filth and evil. A zina
taking place and spreading.
Are you brothers and sisters with me? He
also says,
And then he says, my brothers and my
sisters, subhanAllah, when a zina and a riba
take a good look at the society that
we're in. Zina
and a riba, usually haram dealings.
Once it begins to spread, Allah will give
permission for that place or that locality to
be destroyed.
And then Al Mihan,
calamities,
hardships,
trials,
start happening 1 after the other, one after
the other.
Right?
It's upon us to reflect my brothers and
my sisters.
Right?
It's upon us to reflect.
You look at the verses that come after
that, Allah
says, my brothers and my sisters,
Those who commit abhorrent,
despicable, filthy acts.
Fahesha isn't just a zina
in
Surat Al Aaraf. Likewise, later on Allah says,
When Lord said to his people,
do you carry out these fahesh?
Right?
A zina and likewise the practices
of the people of Lot was also referred
to as a faheshah.
Those when they do this my brothers and
my sisters,
you know what they try to after that
do?
They try to
blame it on their forefathers.
This is now normalization.
It's one thing,
doing the fahesha, doing the sin. Wallahi, I
get phone calls all the time my brothers
and my sisters.
Those in haram relationship with the opposite gender,
and those with same genders. And they're crying,
Please make du'a for me, please, please.
Yes brothers,
even the second type is becoming more and
more common.
And I show sympathy
and empathy towards them.
This is the society that we live in.
Right?
This hyper,
polarized,
sexualized society.
Right?
Here,
this verse,
my brothers and my sisters is similar to
a verse in Surat Al Imran.
Allah says in that verse,
Did I say the verse is right, Ishaq?
Those when they do the and
they wrong themselves,
what do they run to doing my brothers
and my sisters?
They remember Allah,
and they seek forgiveness.
But in the verse that I just mentioned
from Surat
Al Araf,
that speaks about the clothing.
They don't run back to Allah.
They're doing it,
and then they blame it on their forefathers.
They commanded us with it.
Normalization.
Right?
And then they go even a step further.
This is now legislation.
Now my brothers and my sisters, let's just
take a look at the now.
Right?
Once upon a time,
girlfriend,
right?
Was completely
seen as something that is bang out of
order.
So over time, it started becoming normalized.
And then we started saying to ourselves,
everybody is doing it.
Everyone is doing it.
It's
not that big anymore.
They'll eventually repent.
Turn a blind eye.
There are parents, they will turn a blind
eye. And I engage with them regularly.
Like everyone is doing it. It's not like
once upon a time, it's going to bring
shame to my family.
You know, one of your cousins from a
couple of years ago, she got impregnated outside
of wedlock and they all lie, no big
deal.
Right? Normalization
my brothers and my sisters. And sometimes when
a sister does it, she's fallen short, she
wants everyone else to fall short as well.
Likewise the brothers.
It reminds me of something,
or a narration that was attributed to Usman
ibn Affan. He said,
The fornicatress,
she wishes
that everyone else becomes a fornicatress
as well.
Right?
We've committed the haram because we don't want
to be looked at in that light. We
want everyone else, so we have an excuse.
Isn't that so?
Legislation.
They begin to legislate this haram.
Now my brothers and my sisters,
you know we've been discussing in the last
couple of years now. And it's becoming more
and more popularized
to have this view.
Certain things are not sins.
The practice of the people of Lot
was * right according to the scripture.
Because Abutayme doesn't have his own views and
opinions.
Right? According to the scripture
it says
Someone comes along and says,
this is not a sin.
Right? We had prime ministers come out and
say this my brothers and my sisters.
And it became a huge discussion.
You know the guy I told you guys
about earlier who calls me and says, please
make du'a for me, man.
I'm struggling.
I'm in this haram relationship. Muhammad is telling
me I'm in a haram relationship
with Bobby.
Right?
He's calling me.
He knows my brothers and my sisters, what
he's doing.
Right?
We ask Allah azza wa jal to guide
him and to forgive him.
Right?
According to the scripture and the Shariah law
my brothers and my sisters, this is considered
what? A major sin.
But now to come out and justify it,
This is in fact a legislation of God.
This, my brothers and my sisters, istihlal, and
he takes out the foodulisat.
And this is the worry many of us
have
with our children
that go to these institutions.
Once upon a time, my brothers and my
sisters, you tell me, if we saw a
guy walking funky,
right? If you saw him walking funky,
right? This is in our time. I don't
know about your time.
Everyone will look at him.
What's wrong with him?
Now my brothers and my sisters, is that
the case?
In fact, the one who has a dissident
opinion to what the establishment
popularizes,
he is seen as someone that is out
of touch with reality.
Are you brothers and sisters with me?
Take the verse from Surat Ali Imran. You've
fallen short my brother and my sister.
1,000 steps you took away from Allah, you
need one step to come back to him.
Don't go a step further
in
trying to justify it,
looking for ways to normalize it.
This is how
filth and evil become so much more established.
Right?
When people start spreading it, normalizing it and
there's not enough people,
doing the opposite.
And then you end up getting knee jerk
reactions. Feminism we had, and then the opposite
of that
is what? Red pill.
Earlier the Sheikh was talking about the body
count. Right?
Right?
This is what they popularize.
Go and commit a as
much as you can, eventually you'll find the
right person. My brothers and most of you
guys know I've jumped on podcast,
with certain individuals, and they themselves told me
when I asked them about some of these
red pill superstars, right?
These front runners of the red pill.
My brothers and my sisters, right?
They are on the verge of losing their
minds, because he doesn't know what he wants
anymore. And this is the of Allah. The
punishment in this dunya before the hereafter.
Every man just wants to be settled my
brothers and my sisters.
To jump from one to another and another
and another,
it damages you psychologically.
And a lot of them are like that.
But in front of the camera, they show
you something else.
They put on this big act.
Right?
This is the reality behind the camera.
And you wonder to yourself,
right?
Why?
Why is there such
a push?
Right?
Such an effort
in spreading degeneracy.
And I'm going to conclude with this inshallah.
Allah
my brothers and my sisters, and I said
this yesterday, I'll mention it again because of
how important it is.
Please put your hand up. Did you come
yesterday? For those who came yesterday.
It's only some.
Allah tells in the Quran,
Haven't you seen the people of the book?
Not any random joke, my brothers and my
sisters. Those who had knowledge of the book.
The 2 religions.
They had knowledge, but they spend from their
wealth
to spread misguidance.
My brothers and my sisters, for those who
didn't know,
this is the US, and I'm just citing
facts.
US LGBTQ
spending surpasses
1.4
trillion.
Not Australian dollars, US dollars.
The Australian one is weaker
in 2021,
according to the pride coop.
If you look at my brothers and my
sisters who owns some of these social media
apps that spreads degeneracy,
filth and evil, like *,
* websites,
Tinder, Jinda, Bumble.
You know what they all have in common?
The same religion.
In fact, what I'm reading now was posted
by a non Muslim. I've done some fact
checking it's true.
The non Muslim is saying
Right?
And let me make it very here very
clear. I'm not anti Semitic.
Right?
For those who didn't know my father, you
know he's actually Jewish. Don't ask me any
more questions.
Right?
Whenever he comes down to,
I put a hole in my pocket, my
brothers and my sisters.
I take him out to very fancy luxurious
restaurants.
Right?
She puts this out, this non Muslim, and
I'm citing again.
Jewish contributions.
And then she mentions all of these apps.
Who owns *?
Leonid Rambinsky.
Who owns most * websites?
Rabbi
Solomon Friedman.
He's a rabbi.
Imagine you had Sheikh Fulan and Allan. He
owns this.
Tinder, Sean Rudd, Grinda, and
Bumble.
Whatever his name is, Whitney. I don't know
is that a man's name or a woman's
name?
Wolfhead.
Wallahi my brothers and most everything that you
see happening around you is not happening by
chance.
It is intended.
But why though my brothers and my sisters?
Why?
Salahuddin Alayubi.
You know what he said my brothers and
my sisters? If you want to destroy any
nation without war,
create adultery
or * common in the young generation.
Rahimahullah. I'll
say that again. Salahuddin alayyou be retrieved.
Baytul Baqdis.
If you want to destroy any nation without
war, without killing them,
Create adultery
or *
common in the young generation.
To conclude, my brothers and my sisters, and
I'm finished.
To conclude,
I'm going to give this advice of Ibn
Taym
that scares the living daylight out of me
every single time I read it.
Ibn Al
Qayyim
spiritual sickness and the cure. You know what
he says?
Pay attention my brothers and my sisters.
Don't misunderstand what I'm about to say. He
says,
sins
is the first spark to disbelief.
Do sins take you out of Islam, my
brothers and my sisters?
It doesn't take you out of Al Islam.
But one thing leads to another, and another,
and another to the point an individual ends
up leaving the fold of Islam.
Look where we were, look where we are.
To the point they will justify the sin.
They will look for ways to normalize it,
legalizing it.
Sins are the first spark to disbelief. And
look what he says,
The kiss
is the first spark to sexual *.
Music is the first spark to zina, everything
we've been speaking about.
Looking my brothers and my sisters.
Sometimes it starts with an innocent glance.
Right?
Your
clothing of a taqwa diminishes.
And then the clothes start coming off. I'm
done.
Yeah?
The glance leads leads to infatuation.
Everything is intended that we see, my brothers
and my sisters.
Last benefit,
I think is imperative to mention, because we're
speaking about Al Haya.
We know the story of Musa Alaihi Salam.
This is both an advice to the men
and women.
Because today men don't know what they want
anymore.
Because they're watching these degenerate videos and streams.
And likewise, our sisters,
they look online and a standard has been
set.
And she is thinking to us, Perhaps I
need to be like that in order to
find love.
Musa
in Surat Al Qasas.
Right?
Saw 2 young ladies, and he helped them.
We know the story. Right?
To some degree.
Long story cut short because our brother here
is giving me signals.
When he speaks to the Sheikh next to
the other one, right, it means,
hurry up. I know these signals very well.
Been there, done that. Right?
These 2 young ladies,
she went home. She signaled it to her
father.
The father said bring him home. Musa alaihis
salatu wasalam.
Did you know my brothers and my sisters,
long story cut short,
Musa alaihis salatu wasalam
worked 10 years
to pay off the dowry. 10 years.
Who would you who would from amongst you
do that?
10 years.
Right, to pay off the dowry.
He was
offered this young lady,
but he was told, if you want her,
then you have to work for me for
8 or 10 years. He ended up doing
10.
And do you think that he had the
woman while he was working to pay off
the dowry?
He waited.
My brothers and my sisters,
10 years he worked
in order to pay off the dowry.
What is it that he saw in her?
You tell me.
Out of everything that could have been mentioned
about this lady,
Allah tells us,
As she approached him, she was walking in
a bashful and shayid
manner.
This is what he saw in her, my
brothers and my sisters.
And in Surah Tanur, we are told,
Telling the ladies, don't draw attention to yourself.
Don't stomp your feet. We take from this
that a woman should not be drawing attention
to herself.
This is the Asal.
He saw shyness in her because my brothers
and my sisters, I'm sure we can all
agree, especially you brothers, the way a woman
walks
can spin your mind.
Let's be honest.
Right?
Sisters can't see this, but the brothers know
what I'm talking about. They're laughing.
It has an impact on the mind, on
the heart.
That's what he saw in her. And wallahi,
I speak to drug dealers all the time.
Even the drug dealer, you know what he
says? All of these girls that I have,
all of these side girls,
whatever you want to call them, this is
what he's called. Don't say it's me, Abu
Timya saying it.
They like to cut these things out. They
happened in America when I went there. And
then that lady that tried to take things
out of context, she was absolutely berated online.
Seems like an army was sent.
Right?
And then she eventually took it down. The
drug dealer says this, brothers,
who's engaging in all of that filth,
I don't want the mother of my daughters
to be like these girls. They're not wife
material. I want a shy woman.
It's the drug dealer.
He knows exactly what his wife material.
This is a characteristic of both men and
women are in need of. That will protect
us from a lot of the filth that
we have.
Did I go over my time?
Just just before he gives the word, and
I just want to give one minute word
of,
encouragement for the brothers that remained standing for
the hour or so. And I don't know
if the sisters, some of them were standing.
Very quickly, wallahi, I tell you your standing
does not go unnoticed by Allah.
And Nabi salallahu alayhi wasalam was in a
gathering.
And a man came late to the gathering.
He found room for himself. He sat. And
Nabi
said about him, the one that sat,
He came seeking protection because the knowledge protects
a person, and so Allah
granted him protection.
Another person came in, did not find room,
so he stood.
And Nabi
said about those who stood.
He said,
He was shy and Allah
was shy of them.
The one who stood for the sake of
Allah to listen to a lesson, Allah is
shy of them.
Subhanallah, what does that mean? If Allah is
shy from someone, that means his dua is
accepted. As a Nabi says,
Allah is shy from the one who raises
his hand to him that he returned them
rejected and 0.
So brothers, may Allah
grant you reward for your standing.
We ask Allah
to grant us all acceptance and forgiveness.
Very quickly, maybe some of them are tired.
Nikita was
ending with, how do I find a
spouse in today's day and age for the
younger generation?
What kind of places do we look for
them?
Shirk, please.
Ola, every Masjid I go to they ask
the same question.
So I think that's a sign that those
who came to this program are different from
the other ones.
My brothers and my sisters, I have a
couple of suggestions very, very quickly, and I'll
let Sheikh Abu Bakr.
As my battery has gone down to 5%,
I need to bring it back up again.
Right?
It's been a long couple of days,
and we're really struggling with our sleep.
Right?
I have a couple of suggestions.
Everyone here, my brothers and my sisters,
I'm sure
they know
a relative of theirs that is a female.
Sahih?
The point I'm trying to make is,
there are good people in the community
that will be able to advise you
of who you should and who you shouldn't.
Ask around, ask your relatives to do that
vetting for you, to ask around. Perhaps they
may know a sister that is perhaps
befitting for you.
Right? You'll be surprised the amount of that
can come out of this. And brothers don't
get upset when somebody comes and asks for
your sister.
He's coming in the halal way. Abu Bakr
radhiallahu ta'ala Anhu in fact
offered his daughter to the messenger salallahu alaihi
wa sallam. But in today's day and age,
this is something that is shunned.
The kind of image that is created is
that this lady that you're offering to another
is supposedly hungry or something or thirsty.
It's normal.
Like I said, we are in a very
degenerate
filthy society.
Would you rather you do this in a
halal way
or for outside they're doing something
very different?
There are also my brothers and my sisters
some of these
halal,
not zina apps but halal apps.
That is Sharia compliant.
Does that make sense my brothers and my
sisters?
Tinder is not one of them,
or Muzmatch,
and some of these other zina apps.
Guys, please, as you're leaving, kindly, kindly, may
Allah bless you all. Right?
Keep that in mind. I know some of
the masajid, they may have registries as well.
Sheikh, you in Sydney, and you know the
people Bahir Betar, these are just general. I'm
sure you can give something more specific.
Please help them, Sheikh. They need help. Right?
Alloha, if there's anything that we can add,
we might be able to draw a reflection
from the very same story that,
Sheikh Abutaimiyyah hindered with his talk, and that
was that story of Musa alayhis salam.
But if you were to observe the events
that happened there, Musa alayhis salam, he performed
a righteous good deed,
and that is that he looked after
the concern of 2 young women.
And he moved a huge boulder that was
covering a well, and he provided water for
their livestock.
Once he did a good deed, he did
a service, a public service.
He did a public service.
He went back to the shade of a
tree and he sat under a tree.
Allah
said.
And then he made a dua and he
said,
He said, my Lord, I am in desperate
need of any good you sent my way.
It's like the backbone. A person is back
broken, literally empty, doesn't have anything.
You know how Allah
answered his dua?
One of the 2 girls came to him.
Love story. This is a love story, my
brother. It's a halal one. Right? And eventually,
the marriage was facilitated,
and he had children, and he got a
job, and he made money, and there was
a place to stay at. And masha'Allah, a
lot of goodness happened afterwards. So and just
reflecting over that,
Do a good community service. See what your
community needs. Do a good deed. You
don't want anything from it. Go back at
the end of the day and make a
dua to Allah
and perhaps Allah
will guide you afterwards
to a woman,
that is righteous.
Next question. What are the practical steps to
ensure our community respects the scholars and people
of knowledge?
That's your topic, So
Yeah. I mean,
learn from them. Learn from them.
Attend their lectures.
Ask them for advice.
This is how we honor
the scholars
and the people of knowledge among us. We
learn, we seek advice, we ask our question,
and we take others to them as well,
and they ask their questions and so on.
That's, you know, a very brief answer so
we can move on with these questions.
Next question.
Can you touch on how the minor consistent
sins
could lead one all the way to Kufr?
Right. I think that was my talk. Right?
2 hours from
Sydney, Sahih.
That's why they came late to the program.
Right?
When you go and have a bonfire my
brothers and my sisters,
you need sticks after sticks after sticks.
With one stick you can't set off a
fire.
The more
sticks that you put together,
the more you will see the fire coming
to light.
Right? Sins are like that. Today is a
minor, another minor, another minor, eventually becomes major.
Your heart blackens my brothers and my sisters.
The Messenger
told us, black door, black door, black door.
To the point it becomes so black, you
put goodness in front of him,
dismisses it right away, disregards it.
You put evil filth in front of him
my brothers and my sisters, he doesn't hesitate
in
engaging with it.
And then at times my brothers, because he's
become
so empty inside, he is ready to try
anything. You put kufr in front of him,
he'll do it.
Haven't we heard of the stories my brothers
and my sisters,
of men who were told to apostate by
the ladies that they ran into?
Right?
One thing led to another,
and he eventually ended up apostating because of
a woman.
That is simply behavior.
Right?
I show to my brothers,
and my sisters,
One thing can lead to another. Don't look
at how minor the sin is. Look at
who you are disobeying.
Look at the greatness of who you are
disobeying, my brothers and my sisters.
Think about it like that.
Sheikh Abu Bakr mentioned that one of the
methods of success is uniting under a leader.
Is there anything we can do to facilitate
this outcome for the future? Says,
Allah
says unite upon the rope of Allah and
do not disunite.
The thing is many people read this ayah
and they skip or they overlook
So they read it as
They read Unite and don't disunite.
And they forget the main part of the
ayah. And so they begin to question themselves.
Why is the Ummah
disunited?
Why is there a lot of discussion and
a lot of disagreement and so on? Allah
said,
get together.
But they forget to observe what Allah commanded
us to get together upon.
And the thing that we're supposed to get
together upon and this is how unity that
is pleasing to Allah will be achieved
is that everyone gets together upon the rope
of Allah.
And the rope of Allah
is the Quran
and the authentic hadith of the Messenger
according to the understanding of the best generations,
which are the first 3 generations.
If every believer respected that
and went to that,
that is how Unity is automatically
achieved without any effort.
That's how it's achieved. And that makes perfect
logical sense in everything else worldly that we
do. Imagine I give you this example. Imagine
there's a building. Right?
Let's say, Microsoft, the building.
Brothers in the corner, please brothers.
Brothers in the corner, kindly,
I said this 3, 4 times. The shirk
is quoting verses, and we are speaking over
him.
Right? Allah said in the Quran,
And nabi.
And tak about the American.
Don't raise your voice over the voice of
the messenger sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
A hadith is being quoted and you're raising
your voice.
It could be the reason why your actions
are nullified.
You go home without any water today.
And then you have the Quran, my brothers
and my sisters.
Assalamu alaikha. Please brothers, if you want to
talk,
any any
go outside inshallah
while we finish up, and then you can
speak as much as you want.
Sorry, Shah.
We were giving an example. Imagine there is
a building and a company. It's owned. This
building is owned by Microsoft.
And there's many employees in there, a 1000
employees.
And there is a book, a legislation.
This is a book, a manual that is
distributed and given to every employee.
He reads it. He understands it. It tells
them how this company operates,
how it moves forward.
What would happen? What do you think would
happen if every single employee had his own
understanding
and wanted to understand what's written in the
book on his own accord?
There will be no unity for this Microsoft,
and it will be destroyed. It will be
disunited.
Everyone will run away.
And as a result, the company itself will
not be able to move forward.
Draw a parallel from this example and this
is what we're saying. Al Islam is this
building
and this is a lot more than a
building for us. It's the foundation of our
relationship with Allah
That's what Al Islam is.
And we're all members in this deen. All
of us are members of this deen. And
Allah
has given us a manual, a book
and the best 3 generations have exhausted their
efforts in giving us the correct and authentic
understanding of this book. So if every member
in Islam
opened the Quran or sunnah, tried to understand
that the way he wants,
how do you think that everyone will be
united with each other? If it couldn't happen
with a simple building in a company, it
will not happen among us. So what's the
right thing to do? The right thing to
do is to go back to Al Quran
was Sunnah
according to the understanding of the best of
generations,
then wherever you are in the world, I
will see you and we both agree upon
our deen. And this is automatically
how unity is achieved.
You, sir.
Next question. How do we gain the discipline
required to stay consistent in need naseem or
taking up a good deed as motivation is
only temporary?
My brothers and my sisters, this is a
very deep topic.
I advise you all to buy that book
called The Spiritual Sickness and Its Cure.
This really helps by Ibn Taym. I probably
said this the 10th time now, since I've
been here in Sydney, by Ibn Taym
past 20 years, 751.
You can find it in Dar al Salam.
They have a
that recently visited.
Right?
Owned by Sheikh Farhan's brother.
I'm not getting paid to say this, and
I'm not getting royalties, my brothers and my
sisters. Allah, this Kitab is amazing.
It honestly changed my perspective on a lot
of things. I will go as far as
saying it changed my life.
Was teaching us this in the prophet's masjid.
If I can give you something very, some
something quickly that is practical.
If there is a sin
that you are addicted to,
that you're really struggling with,
this has helped many people.
Right?
Whenever you fall back into that addiction, my
brothers and my sisters get up,
go and make wudu,
and then pray Toraqaat.
Like you're doing all these acts of worship,
you think the devil wants you to do
that?
Right.
It's heavy on the devil my brothers and
my sisters.
And it will come across to you as
well as something very very heavy as well,
and hard to do. Very simple.
Do you not go to the toilet all
the time to relieve yourself?
Right? You struggle to keep that in. You're
struggling likewise now my brother with that sin,
it's weighing you down.
Right?
It's weighing you down my brothers and my
sisters.
Go into the bathroom, make wudu, and when
you make that wudu, do we not know
from the hadith of the Prophet
the sins start coming out of your limbs.
You're seeking forgiveness. You're showing Allah most importantly,
that you really badly want to,
want to overcome this addiction.
Then you pray Surakat.
Messenger
said, Never does an individual after committing a
sin, make does it properly, and then pray
Surakat, except Allah will forgive his sin. It's
only a matter of time before you overcome
that addiction. Take this from me my brothers
and my sisters. That's something practical I can
advise you with. If it's an addiction now
that you've become so indulged and attached,
right, and addicted to, try that.
Just to add something small in commentary of
this hadith.
Sheikh al Islam Ibn Taymiyir said
that these two prayers or t two raka'at
that you will offer after sin
may be prayed any time of the day
and the night even in times in where
it is prohibited to pray.
So if it was after salatul Asr for
example, and you know this is a time
that is prohibited to pray, and a person
fell into a sin,
Then you made wobo afterwards and you stood
and you offered 2 raka'at.
This is voluntary. It is haram to pray
at this time. But for the one who
does it after the sin, prays the 2
raka'at, it is permissible.
You may pray it. What does that mean?
It teaches you and I the mercy of
Allah
upon the believer is that it he does
not want to leave him dirty with that
sin for a long time.
So the door opened and you are encouraged
to pray it even in the prohibited time.
Then a believer cannot delay his tawbah. A
believer cannot delay his tawbah.
Allah
says, this is a commandment of Allah
and the commandment of Allah.
It's understood from it that we are supposed
to rush to implement it.
Next question. How do we deal with free
big city in the west? The question I
mentioned at work and with family members. Keep
away from it.
Is there anything more simple than that, Ali?
Brothers and sisters in Islam, if sheikh gives
me permission,
we keep away from al Fitr. Our deen
has taught us that the best way to
protect yourself from any fitna out there is
to keep away from it.
Absolutely keep away. Nabi sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
said
That the happy successful one is the one
who keeps away from Al Fitim.
Which is moving from the land of the
disbelievers to the land of believers was only
legislated so that you can run away from
the fitna.
So that you can move away from al
fitna. Allah azza wa jal, he commands the
believers,
close and lower your gaze, move your gaze
away from al fitna. And you will see
this
100 and 100 of times mentioned in the
Quran and Sunnat Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam says about a dajjal,
if you saw a dajjal and that is
the greatest of all fitan, he said, Whoever
heard of the emergence of a Dajjal, run
away from him. Once again, keeping away. So
that is a practical
step that you can do to save yourself
from these fitters. Literally pick yourself
up and walk away from it. The further
away you go, the more protected you are
from it. Wallahu Alam. I can add. Allah
says in the Quran, my brothers and sisters,
Don't come close to zina.
Allah could have said,
right? Don't do zina. He said, Don't come
close to a zina.
Anything that is going to lead you to
that,
and intermingling
uncontrollably
is definitely you coming close to it. Look
at both my brothers and my sisters, we
have an example
for
men and likewise women in the Quran, equal
rights here.
He approached her to give her the good
news that she will have
a new born called Isa.
Upon seeing him,
how does she react my brothers and my
sisters? Did she say,
come in?
I've got a palm tree here.
Is that what she said my brothers and
my sisters?
She responded immediately, and this is what you
need to do when she slips into your
DMs and vice versa.
If you're a person of tawas, stay away
from me.
Sisters, tell him to get lost.
And then you have the example of what
Yusuf alaihis salatu wa salam.
Right?
She was losing her mind.
Yusuf
my brother was given half the beauty
of mankind.
Where is the other half?
The rest of mankind and Mashallah can see
a fair share of it here. Right?
He was extremely handsome.
SubhanAllah my brothers and my sisters, when she
locked him in the room and she said,
Hey, Talaq.
Let's do it.
He went running, as Sheikha Bakar mentioned. Right?
You run.
Same way you run from the dajjal,
when you see a lion or a kangaroo,
brothers and sisters,
right,
You run away.
I heard some of your kangaroos are dangerous,
that's why I use it alongside the lion.
You run away my brothers and my sons,
that's exactly what Yusuf Alaihi Salam done.
Similar to Mariam. He saw refuge
from
Allah Then began to remember the favors of
Allah, how can I disobey me? You've done
so much for me. Allah, some said here
the favors of
the,
Aziz.
Right? And then he began to run. Run
my brothers and my sisters, run.
However, it must be said, you're probably wondering
now, and this follow-up question is gonna come,
but I'm at work, and whatever have you,
this, that. I need to be in this
environment,
My brothers and my sisters, this is a
or a Hajj. Right? It's either necessity
or a dire need.
If there is an exception to the general
rule, you take from it that which is
going to cover your needs. These are legal
maxims are important.
Are you guys with me?
You don't go over that which is required.
You needed to go to that shop. Right?
You wanted to buy milk?
That's it.
The only question you should be asking that
lady
at the cashier is, where is the milk?
Not how was your night? Or how did
you do? And what are you going to
do? La, matahtaj.
Sometimes that happens. We what?
Nastarsil.
Who told you to ask her how her
night was last night?
You ask her, where's the milk? Here take
the money and get out.
That is what taking that which is going
to cover the need for the exception to
the general rule.
That's your question,
Shah. Ending with mosque.
Tell that, Sheikh.
My bar has gone down to 3%, Sheikh.
Allah says, Allah said, save yourself and save
your family from the fire.
The answer to this question,
we will find it
when we comment on why Allah Azar al
Majel mentioned that you should save yourself from
the fire before he said to save your
family from the fire.
Why did Allah command me to save myself
from the fire before he commanded and instructed
me to save my family, wife, and children
from the fire? Why?
My family, wife and children from the fire.
Why?
Because if I am on a path that
is saving me from the fire,
by implementing what Allah wants, keeping away from
what Allah forbid,
If I'm saving myself, I've become an excellent
role model and I'm in a great position
to save others from the fire.
Imagine I'm on a road to the fire.
How can I save others from the fire?
So when you ask
how does a person encourage his family and
so on, I say brothers and sisters, all
of us fathers and mothers, look at yourself
and you be the example. Because these children
are not going to learn with words. They're
going to learn with actions. And this is
known as modeling parenting. This modeling parenting is
mentioned in in books of parenting and so
on. We don't need it. It's there.
Save yourself. When you're on that path of
pleasing Allah,
those that are underneath you will look and
they will follow this example.
As simple as it is, you do what's
right. But I tell you why it's difficult.
Why is it difficult to raise children?
It's not as you're thinking many think, ah,
because the days we're in the West that's
in us, the corruption among us and so
on. But don't fool yourself and think like
that.
It is very difficult to raise children
because you still haven't made the decision to
change.
So what you need to do is look
at your words, observe what you speak of
foul language, and start refining your words.
Throw out the evil words and replace them
with good words. Look at your actions.
Take out the bad and leave the good.
Look at your manners with others, and when
you're around others and your children are with
you, and the courage perhaps, you know, rage
in the car, screaming, shouting at someone that
overtook you for example. All of this is
observed by the young children.
Oh okay, so that's an acceptable manner to
do when someone cuts through or takes over.
And what happens?
The khalos. You've passed down that kind of
character and it moves forward. Yes, I'm not
saying I'm an angel and we're all going
to the angels. But if you said something
foul,
if you did something wrong, if bad manners
were to appear, then it's very easy to
gather your children that witnessed that and tell
them your father, your mother did something wrong.
We said this word and we should not
say this word. Next time my children, if
you hear me say such and such or
doing such and such, tell me, dad, mom,
this is harab.
Heck, you teach them that. Now you haven't
normalized this behavior. You haven't normalized these words
among your family.
And obviously you're implementing
a salat among the family of Mu'ahelaka Rasalat.
Allah says command and instruct them to ask
salat. And if you do that from the
age of 7 until the age of 10,
every single salah, the warzib upon you is
to instruct them. That's the warzib upon you.
It's not warzib for him to pray. It's
warzib for you to instruct.
Get up to alfazr, get up to Abuhur,
Al Asr, Al Magr. Get up, get up.
Imagine you repeated get up to salah 5
times a day from the age of 7
until the age of 10.
Most likely afterwards they committed on salah.
But if you never did this, the age
of 10 comes, you begin to ask, can
I hit my child because he's not praying?
Maybe you need to be lashed
for not instructing them to ask Salat before
that, right? So this is how we understand
and it's not hitting by the way, I
like to use the word discipline. Discipline
your child to 'salat, so we don't get
caught up anyway with the Australian media and
I'd love to catch anything.
Okay, so I say discipline your children to
'salat,
Right? It's very simple. The model Allah
has drawn for us. It's perfect. All we
need to do is follow Allahu'ala.
Brothers and sisters, I know he's going to
wrap up. I just want to say from
the bottom of my heart, salaam alaykha for
attending today. You know, one thing I discovered
being here in Sydney,
that more people are likely to turn up
at an event on a weekday. If it's
an evening, then a Saturday afternoon.
It's the opposite in the UK.
I heard you guys in Sydney don't come
out of the houses
before Asr.
Yeah. Yeah. Subhanallah. This is something I discovered.
Honestly, I was it's a Monday night, and
you guys all made the effort to sit
in front of this.
May Allah bless every single one of you.
I love you all for the sake of
Allah. All life has been a wonderful experience.
This is my last program.
While on our way to Perth tomorrow morning.
Masha'Allah. Keep making dua for us inshallah.
Yes.
This is the duas that we need more
than anything else.
And I love you all again. For the
sake of Allah. If Allah does not reunite
us in the highest part of the jinnah
sorry. If Allah does not reunite us here
in this world
or here in Sydney or Lebanon. Right?
May Allah
reunite us in the highest part of the
jinnah.
