Just like, our brother
Zuddar
said that the sheikh has traveled from Leicester
to give this talk in regards to the
tafsir of Surat al Muqaddub, just like I
recited.
And, many of us, we just hear the
Surah and we did not understand the meaning.
And this is why we have invited the
shirk so we can take the the gems
and the pearls from the area to Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
So please listen to him attentively.
May Allah allow us all to benefit.
Insha Allahu Ta'ala, we want to go through,
the tafsir of Meiratul Badr and also bring
out some, you know, pearls and jewels,
that we can find in this small,
chapter of the Quran. And before I do
that,
a lot of Masali tend to do this,
you know, they tend to refer to me
as a Sheikh.
I don't, you know, the masha'i are the
likes of Sheikh Salih Khouzan,
you know, masha'ikh in the in the Haram
of the prophet sallallahu alaihi. He was telling
the prophet's masjid.
And the Allah scholars that we know in
Egypt and Yemen. As for us, we just,
you know, small students of knowledge that have
been trying to, you know, teach the people
and build that bridge between,
the general mass and also the students who
are here and the scholars as well. They
are the real moshayikh and living here, here,
you tend to find that the standard tends
to drop very quickly,
you know. And if only we knew,
the the level of knowledge that the scholars
have and who deserves to be,
you know, in fact called a Sheikh.
So Insha'Allah, my name is just Mohammed
or Abutania,
you know. So, I think that's Insha'Allah.
Another
before I start the lecture, what I want
to go through is some introductions.
The importance
of tafsir of Quran and how we do
tafsir of Quran,
You know, because brothers and sisters we're living
in a time where
many people just come and they start commenting
on the Quran.
You know, some of them through maybe opinion,
some of them through desires,
some of them through, you know, just trying
to promote something that they believe.
That's why we need Dawabit when it comes
to the Tafsir of the Quran
it is not a light matter
it is not a light matter why because
we are interpreting the speech of Allah Azzawajal.
We are interpreting the speech of Allah Azzawajal
is not the interpretation
or the speech of, a human being or
someone that we know, you know, or a
friend of ours or even our parents.
Imagine if someone took the statements of our
parents, their speeches out of context.
No one would accept that. Imagine thinking the
statement, the speech of the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam out of context
or the statements of Allah which is aaadunu
aaala.
And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala told us in
the Quran the danger of this.
Do not follow that which you don't have
any knowledge about. In the Samah
the ears, the hearing while Basra also the
seeing the sight.
While Fu'ad and the heart
are going to be held responsible of Yamaat
Yama.
So it's not a light matter for everyone
and anyone to come and indulge
in doing tafsir of the Quran.
Also brothers and sisters after looking at the
situation of a Muslim Ummah today and the
reason why there's so much innovation there's so
much you know distortions of the Quran.
You find is because everybody is just coming
and saying whatever they want.
If the people stuck to the correct way
of interpreting the Quran there will be barely
any Khilafat
and the law subhanahu wa ta'ala told us
this in the Quran.
Had the Quran now come from other than
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala you would have found
a lot of Khilafat,
a lot of differences,
people different
and this is what we have today. Because
the people haven't taken the correct
steps
of interpreting
and speaking about the book of Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala and there is so much Khilaf
and the prophet told us this 1400 years
ago he said, Whoever
lives on he is going to see a
lot of his Tilafat
But what did he say after that?
Upon you is to follow the way of
the prophet
and the way of the right be guided
for Caliphites.
The first step to interpret the Quran is
interpreting the Qur'an with the Qur'an.
You have the story of Nuh you have
the story of Musa. Story of Musa is
mentioned in Surat Al Qasas also mentioned in
Surat
Al Arab and in other Surat.
So in order to fully understand what happened
in the life of Musa 'alayhi salatu wa
salam we start getting these verses and interpreting
it with other verses
and bring them together.
Some parts of the Quran explain other parts
of the Quran
and that's very very important. That's always the
first step. Not through the language. I jump
straight to the language
or I start speaking you with my opinion.
Because brothers and sisters
to speak about the Quran with your opinion
is a very dangerous matter.
The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
and some of them
ascribed it
Whoever says or interprets the Quran with his
opinion
let this person put his seat in the
fire.
And today, any, you know, Dominic and Harry
come and sits in a cafe just to
Allah as they will get intense by it.
It's a very serious thing.
We send down the Quran upon you in
the Dhikr so that you may go and
clarify to the people.
That's why we have the sunnah of the
prophet that
comes and explains the Quran.
For instance you have Wa'temus salatwato zakatah.
How do we know the tafasir?
The step by step guide of
knowing what?
Establishing your prayer means. Well, the thing is
establish
the prayer.
How do we know how to establish the
prayer and how to perform it properly?
Through a sunnah of the prophet of Allah
alaihi wa sinner. You have hadith of you
read
which is narrated by the Sarah.
The
that which Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala you know
mentioned in the Quran. And Agha Zakaat, how
do you know exactly how to pay
and what to pay
and when I have to pay it. You
don't know this except through the sunnah of
the prophet sallallahu alaihi was under the famous
hadith al Anas when Abu Waqar radiAllahu ta'ala
and he wrote the letter.
The first step is brothers and sisters at
Tafsiru.
Tafsiru Qur'anil is Sahaba.
Tafsiru Qur'anil is Sahaba.
What the companions they mentioned about
the Quran. Why? Because they lived with the
Prophet when he was coming down they were
the first person or the first people to
take it from the prophet SAW.
They took it first hand.
Brother and Silas, these principles are very very
important.
Tomorrow you're going to hear someone speaking about
the Quran on YouTube or any other means
of social media
and you might just take it and think
that the intended purpose is x y and
z.
So when you have this principle, you can
automatically ask these questions if anyone brings you
a proof.
The problem that we have with some of
our prophets today who are becoming very extreme
that have gone overboard and they've joined ISA
and maybe they went and they blew themselves
up because of an incorrect understanding of the
Quran.
Had they taken these relevant steps,
maybe they wouldn't have gone and blown themselves
up or
thought or thought that
this is now jihad
going out into the streets and maybe killing
people. And that if I killed I will
die as the rest of the people as
a makha.
Maha. And this is what the Khawarij used
to do. The prophet told
us
They mentioned the best of the species.
They used to quote Ayat.
You know. They used to quote ayaat from
the Quran.
One of them will come and say to
you, have you ruled by other than the
book of Allah in the Catholic. Just like
that. Let's look away, ibn Abbas and Hammurabi,
the companions have to say.
Ibn Abbas
was the companion of the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam
these 2, Khanun and Muqthiri, they were from
those who took a lot of time out
to explain the Quran. We had other companions
like some of the Khalifa who are more
busy with talking in the country.
But these 2 companions,
they were from the Muksdreen, those who took
a lot of time out. You have also
Jamisrud
Ruth.
There's not a verse that has come down
except that I know who it came down
on
on and where it came down on. And
had I known that there was someone more
known as Jabal Dami and the right account
could reach, I would go.
So they're understanding. This is why we always
say we follow the Quran, the Sunnah and
then there has to be a restriction because
everyone says this. Upon whom? The understanding of
the Sahar.
How they understood
the Quran, the Hadith of the Prophet Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam because they took the first hand
from the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
You'll find everyone claims this. Everyone claims Quran
and Sunnah but when you really look at
it
who follows the way of the Sahaba? This
is when things start becoming a bit more
clear.
Until brothers and sisters we reach a stage
in our religion
where every point in our religion we always
ask, okay. And the companions do this action
in such a way.
This is the true way that the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam prayed, praised
and those who are mentioned in the Ayahu
alaihi wa
sallam.
And those who followed them upon goodness.
They step by step. They set a blueprint
for us. When a person, he goes in,
the civil engineer,
he when he tries to build a building,
he doesn't just wake up in the morning
one day, you know, gets,
bricks and start building the building. Now he
has a blueprint that he follows.
Likewise, we have the blueprint of the Sahaba.
They set for us that we have to
follow
in order to worship Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
in the Ibadah. What to believe, what to
say, how to act, our akhla,
our mannerisms.
Then also what Aspore has mentioned is the
Tabireen.
The Tabireen.
Those who
took it from the
Sahaba.
Comes from Mujahid. Mujahid was from the closest
of students to Nagas.
Some narrators say 2 or 3
and some of them 4.
That when the ayat used to be read
on Ibn Abbas of the Ibn Abbas, Radhiya
Mawlihan used to stop Mujahid that each ayat
asked him 3 times.
And he will mention it at sea. So
he took it directly from it. And then
the 5th step is the law, through the
language.
I don't just open the Quran and I
start interpreting the Quran through the luwa
through the language. Naham, the language does stay
a role and there's these steps that we
have.
So the next time you hear it of
Seer, you know the relevant steps to ask
yourself the questions.
Is this the correct way of Tafsir?
Is this how the salif,
the 3 golden generation, understood
it?
Also,
a couple of other benefits that before we
move into the tafsirah later to kala.
The surah before it is called what?
Iqra. Iqra. Surah Alaaq.
You know if you look and ponder upon
the Quran you'll find that sometimes the Tatiel,
the way the Quran has been arranged sometimes
you find the Surah before it or the
Surah after it. There is some correlation between
them.
There's some connection between them.
An example of this is
the Sura that many of our youngsters may
have memorized
Suratul Mahlul
and Surat
al Koffa.
What
does
Allah
subhanahu
wa
ta'ala say for
Those who, you know, are lax. They're lazy
when it comes to the prayer. You look
at the second Surah, what does it say?
So in 1 Sura one chapter is speaking
about the negative
characteristics
and traits
of those who are from the people of
the fire.
Then here you are being commanded to worship
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in the correct way.
Here the salawah is being praised in a
positive context the Surah before that is what?
A negative one.
Then Allah
says what in Surah Alaneenahum?
What does the other Surah say?
Pray and slaughter for Allah.
What does Al Nadeenomiram means? Those who show
off. They're from the people of the fire.
You can see the direct connection now.
Showing off, it goes against being sincere in
your Ibarat.
I could either pray but I'm praying because
my mom's looking at me. I fall into
showing off.
And then you have the issue of the
salah. Who used to show off?
The Munafiqun. They don't pray solely for Allah.
Allah mentioned in the final
Allah mentioned
When they send them a prayer and they
try to show off to the people, they're
lazy.
And here Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is telling
you Fasal in Arabic pray to your Lord
only. This is here. Do not show off.
The one before it says don't show off.
Another example in these two Surahs I know
we're not doing explanation of this but it's
going to be relevant to me going to
the next Surah of the Allah and sword
Al Qaeda.
It's Qayyun al Nahun and Mahun. They prevent
the charity.
He mentions in the Surah of Ma'am, the
last ayah of Qayyun
nah al Mahun.
And then in the other verse, what does
he say?
When you slaughter now on Eid who does
this go out to?
The poor you give this for the sake
of Allah likewise in Hajj when you slaughter
it is you know given to the poor
and so on and so forth you will
find many you know relations for those who
ponder upon the Quran. This is something that
is highly recommended in this month.
And Allah is a defame those who don't
ponder upon the Quran.
Try to search for your soul in 3
places.
One of the places he mentioned is to
the Quran.
Pondering upon the Quran.
You really want to, you know, change the
state of your heart. Ponder upon the Quran.
It is for those who have intellects
for them to see and take heed.
Also Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala time and time
again defames those who don't ponder upon the
Quran,
you know.
Quran. You will find that there's a lot
of gems and there's Jews you know that
a person could take out and really implement
in his life and
could be the first step that a person's
mind opens up because that's what the Quran
does
takes you out of the Bulamat in Turanur.
So now moving on to Surat Al Allah
and Surat Al Qada.
From the connection that we find is
that Surat Al Qada
it tells us
when the Qur'an came down.
Suratul Al Arak tells us what? How the
Quran came down.
When Jibreel
Jibril came to me and he squeezed me.
He squeezed the Prophet
and he told him to read
and then he let it go.
When he told him to read, what did
the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam say? Ma'ana Bilqareen.
I cannot read.
So he done the exact same thing.
He grabbed him, squeezed him, let him go
and then he told him,
told them
to
So this tells us how it happened.
Surat Al Tala, it tells us what?
When it came down. When did it come
down? There's another verse in Suratul Qadrasharra'an
al Lili? On Zillafi in Quran.
The month of
Ramaman where the Quran came down. Rishti Quran
came down
and he used to come down on Laylatul
Qadr.
That's when the Quran would come down over
the years.
Laylatul Qadr was the night when he used
to come down.
As we're gonna come on later one of
the things that makes laylatul Qadr you know
great as some of the scholars that Shulkani
mentioned. One of the reasons because it became
great through this Quran coming down, descending.
Another connection is
when you look at the last ayah, now
we took the first ayah, right? When we
take the last ayah, when Allah Azzawajal, he
says,
Abu Jahl who used to be very oppressive,
unjust,
violent.
He was a bully towards the prophet
So Allah tells him, don't follow Abu Jahl.
Was Jib prostrate wakhtari
and get close to me.
And how does a person get close to
Allah
What's the biggest opportunity that a person has
given in order to get close to Allah
azza wa Jal? Laylatul Qadr. The next Surah
talks about
and if you look in the sun of
the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam you find
that the best ways to get closer to
Allah
in 2 Hadiths mentioned.
One of
them The closest one,
the closest
that one Yani gets closer to Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala is why he is in his
frustration.
Another hadith that explains this one is
strive in making Dua while you're in your
sujood for indeed it will be accepted straight
away.
So that's the first one. Right? 1st way
that a person gets very close to Allah.
The second way is
there's another hadith.
The closest a person or Allah
gets to his servant
to the servant is when?
The last part of the night.
And then the prophet SAW Allah mentions whoever
is able to remember Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
in that part of the day or the
night story and let him do so.
And these 2 hadith now what is it
relevant to that Surah? When you look at
Surah Al Qadr
what does he do?
He stands up for prayer to Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam prays them
and he mentioned an immense reward with it.
Whoever stands on the night of Al Khadar
I don't like saying the word or the
name power,
the night of power. I'm gonna I'm going
to understand later why.
Because there's only
one meaning of it because there's a bunch
of
interpretations
for what aqadr means and it will be
unfair to just call it power
So the night of Qadr will call it.
According to personal prophet
Muhammad said whoever stands on Laylatul Khadr, iman
and wohdisabe
Having faith and also seeking the reward of
all
his passes are forgiven.
So do you understand? Can you see now
the relation? The last Ayah, how it's in
relation among me and all the Hadith together.
The third connection
that you find is
when you look in related to Qadr in
the second verse what does it say?
Has just now been told what do you
know about the Leila Tughada?
And then the other verse comes down the
one after it. Leila Tughada Khayram Al Fisha.
Allah Azzawajal here
He's showing the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
that he doesn't know
And when you are put in that kind
of situation
it humbles a person.
It is Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala who told
you Muhammad
subhanahu wa'ala.
And in Surat Alaaq what does it say?
The one who taught with the pen
and he taught
the insan
a person what he doesn't know.
And time and time again you find in
the Surah
that Allah
frequently says what?
Time and time again Allah mentions this and
when a person is found in this situation
he tends to humble himself. In another verse
of Allah's word he says
Allah told you what you didn't know.
He's addressing the prophet
And the blessing of Allah was great.
And the more a person he realizes
that he's not in need, sorry, that he
is in need and that he's ignorant.
What does that do?
It makes you from those who
seek assistance from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala also
humbles himself.
This is what Iya kana Abu do Iya
kana stay in Luzdah mean?
Here you've been told about the Ibadah, only
you we worship. Can we worship Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala
if we don't seek His assistance?
As if Narudayb
mentions
had the Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala ruled he
would have
prevented us just like he prevented so many
of the people.
So many people don't pray. So many people
don't worship Allah. We just went past this
carnival that's taking place in concert.
Look at the sad situation they are in.
All of them, they're like half naked.
Allah could have done that to us.
So we can't worship Allah according to accept
through trying to get his assistance.
And when you realize
in the in the that you're seeking, that
you're absolutely nothing and that you're always in
need,
it makes a person more grateful. Firstly, he
humbles himself.
This is why our Sheikh Sarfrazi al Hussain,
he wanted to teach it in the Haram
from his Masjid. He always mentions this point
that you can't go nowhere
except by asking Allah all the time. You
can't rely on your intelligence
how you know
the academic background that you have
if you don't ask Allah as the wajah
you're not going anywhere.
Why do we find so many professionals today?
He's so good in his field but when
it comes to the Quran now you give
him a few verses he hasn't been given
the success
to be submissive to Allah
or he finds it so difficult to understand.
There's Mawar and Adai has fallen into, maybe
arrogance,
using his brain over everything else, Feeling that
his intellect is good enough to understand. No
akhid. You only need to always seek assistance
from Allah
That's why the prophet mentioned Hadith,
You know, try to be eager and seeking
benefit
and also seek assistance from Allah
When we memorize, when we do Ibadah,
whatever that we do
to ask Allah always to make it easy
for us. The hijab. Someone says it might
find a struggle to wear the hijab.
Even in the month of Ramadan you have
an opportunity to bring direct to Allah
and so on and so forth. Also the
issue about Tawadar.
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi was telling me he said,
It has been revealed to me that a
person is humble, so people don't start boasting
against one another.
When the person, he realize how ignorant he
is
and that whatever he has is always a
little.
You've only been given up the land that
which is little.
It makes him more humble,
makes him more, you know, grateful to Allah.
Someone who seeks more assistance for Allah Azza
wa Jal. And this is how the prophet
was. And these statements,
it humbled the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
And he is an example when it comes
to humility and being humble
that all of us are in need
of. Shahaan Durazah Al Badr just recently he
was going through
a chapter that was taken from the Kitab
of Ir Netaima
al Jawah Usaliyah Abdillahdin al Masihir which talks
about the characteristics and the matters of Allah
the Prophet
How he used to be with kids.
He'd be the one that goes and gives
salam, humbles himself to the kids. There are
little kids running around.
Today one might think to himself he should
be giving salams to me. I'm older. I'm
bigger.
You know and so on and so forth.
Many examples of how the prophet
used to adorn himself with his lofty mannerisms.
Now
we are going to
go into the tafsir and maybe we have
time at the end.
We'll speak about,
you know the verse of being able to
stand in the night.
Allah
mentioned in the Quran
We sent down the Laylatul Qadr.
Okay.
Someone might think to himself here now that
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is we.
There's more than one of Allah as a
wajada.
The answer is no.
This is done out of royalty, out of
greatness.
You know when the king has
some prisoners and he wants to let them
go, they try to seek his permission you
know, Irashjur,
they ask him excessively
and they said okay we're going today you
go.
He says it's out of royalty and due
to the power that he has. Likewise when
you listen to the queen,
queen she speaks like this all the time
we.
So this Inna also in the Arabic language
you find it is used out of royalty,
out of greatness.
And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala does this much
in his
Quran.
We send down the Dhikr, the Quran.
Does that mean that Allah
has all of those with him?
You know, if there was another or if,
hypothetically speaking,
then every god would have taken his creation
with him and he don't know his own
kingdom.
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala there's a narration of
Ibn Abbas radiAllahu wa ta'ala
that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala He sent down
the Quran
to the last heaven.
As Sama Ussarah.
The 7th heaven.
In
Baytul Izzal
a Bayt, a house that
the companion of Ibn Abbas radiAllahu ta'ala mentioned.
And Jibreel alaihis salam
heard it from there and revealed it to
Rav Rassallahu alaihi wa sallam.
In the night of Al Qadr
and you know brothers and sisters the Qadr
the word Qadr here
the salaf
people of the past 3 golden generations
they've spoken incessantly about the Qadr
actually means
this is why I mentioned earlier that I
feel like you know the night of power
calling it the night of power doesn't necessarily
give it any justice
because we would be you know restricting it
only to this meaning and everything else
we would be kind of like you know
overlooking it.
And from the
meanings that is mentioned is firstly, alim al
padrik.
When I say that Fulan is alim al
padar.
This person he has you know very great
power and ability
or he has a very noble position.
So when you say nahina zalafi laylatul qadr
this night this night of nobility
this night of honor this night of greatness
also from that which as we mentioned is
Oreyfussein the night of dignity and nobility
also from this is it becomes great due
to the Malaika coming down and that's the
Malaika too.
The fact that all these Malaika are coming
down it shows Barak, it shows Rahma.
And some of them what they mentioned was
Al Qadr
how you would you know explain this is
tadeer which means
you know when something becomes tight
Once something becomes so like restricted
and it's like difficult to know.
And we know this about I Yazul Khadr
right? We don't know exactly when it is.
And an example of the quote is the
higher.
When the risk was made tight and he
found difficulty in finding cohesion.
Not the verse but just the linguistic meaning
that I'm getting in order to prove a
point.
Or when the Manai come down so many
of them come down.
Sheihan for Sheihan one after the other until
they fill the earth. So it's
It's from its meanings as well.
And the last but not least
Every wise affair is made distinct in this
month. Everything that's going to happen in this
year Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala reveals it to
the Malaykah the Qadr the predestined decree
We know that Qadari has 4 pillars, right?
Anybody know these 4 pillars?
Understanding and believing in the Qadar is 4
things that we need to believe in. Four
important aspects.
Otherwise, we can't believe in the issue of
Al Qadr which is the 6th pillar from
the pillars of
Iman.
There's 4 things that we need to believe
on when we mention Isha Al Qadr.
Does anyone know?
Lifespan.
One of them is lifespan.
If you mean by Yat Yani that everything
is written down,
then now I'm Al Kitava.
Everything has been written down. There's a hadith
of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam who says
the first thing that the Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala created was the qalam, was the pen.
And Allah sent you a pen to write
down.
So everything everything
was written down that's going to happen till
Tawiyam Asad.
Teaching his son the matches of Akhil, and
this also shows that the issue of Akhil
being very important.
And today, you find people saying, where's Akhil
that is in the Quran?
Recently there was a crazy fiasco that took
place online.
So when he came out, he started saying
where's Akhid written in the Quran?
Or Aqid is not a priority. We shouldn't
be giving all the things, maybe a priority.
Hey. He's killed. He's teaching his son.
Oh, son, if you die and you know
upon this is what? One aspect of the
things that we need to believe in.
Also
when we mentioned just to show you the
importance of learning the and knowing it properly,
he said,
If any of you had like the mountain
of Opet in gold,
he owned it. Takes 4, 5 hours to
climb that mountain. That's how big it is.
And the person had that in gold. What
did he do after that? He gave me
insurance.
You know the prophet well, you know what
he said in Nurama?
Allah won't accept anything from him until he
believes in the other.
Until he believes in the property.
That's one aspect. One aspect.
So this is foremost now. We learn our
Akhila.
And we give it our word of concern.
One person might have the best Ibadat.
His salawat is on point is the
but then he just doesn't believe in the
father. Oh,
he knows really well.
Everything that he's striving for becomes
null, void.
Because it's a matter of faith. It's a
matter of the heart that is important that
we believe. And these were the what were
the companions were upon.
The other thing
that that's one aspect of the Khadar. There's
another 3.
And insomnia, what's going to take place, how
it will take place,
hypothetically
speaking.
Allah knows what took place in the past
In the all of this is in the
kitah.
It's. 3rd thing is.
Nothing takes place except
through the will of Azza wa Jal.
4th one is khal.
Everything
has been created.
Our actions, the creation of Allah is a
wajale.
Allah created that which you do. That doesn't
mean that a person is like a feather
in the middle of the wind or like
a dead person that's being washed and shrouded.
You pick up his hand, it drops. They
don't have a choice
and you're going to say now that my
actions have been created. That means I have
no choice.
So a person now when he goes and
he steals a chrome cocktail from the
from the corner shop and he said no
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala decreed I don't have
a choice I've not created matches
Allah has the wajahi
he gave you the choice to do what
you want he gave you with as well
he ascribed machines years old
these issues of Al Qadr are vital
and very important.
Today one of the ways that some of
our kids in the schools are post dating
is because of the Ishaq Al Qara
you know okay if Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
decreed this and Allah Azzaw wrote all things
now how do we tackle it so on
and so forth
doubts that is brought to him
through the issue of Al Qadr so they
start opposed and becoming atheists
either because of this or the issues of
physics.
Physics you find as all because when a
person becomes so indulgent they begin to think
Has.
Also a song that I mentioned is
when I say examine the Arabic language,
I appreciate what you done.
You need some light of appreciation
where Allah
appreciates
the actions that a person does
And rewards him with so much reward that
even within his lifespan he might not be
able to ever get this kind of reward.
Most people's lifespans, the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
he told us,
The average lifespan of an individual is between
6070
and only few
go past that.
So here in one night what a person
will do? What happens?
It is better than a1000.
It's better
than a 1000 miles which is equivalent to
84 years.
Find that, you you know, in more poorer
countries, the average lifespan is around 33, 34,
35.
Other countries, maybe 50. Due to the,
the state of living they
have and here on one night the lives
of the dead has given you this great
immense reward.
So what is Laylatul Tala?
One is Laylatul Tala.
There's a bunch of a hadith that the
prophet SAW hadith mentioned
and by taking all of that into consideration
you find we,
you know, will be able to understand what
one should do
in order to get the best out of
the
month of Ramadan especially in the last 10
days.
The generation which the Prophet said
Try to search for it in the last
10 days of
the last 10 days of Ramadan.
There's another narration that says then,
Try to look for it in the last
10 days. Whoever becomes weak or he becomes
lazy,
then let him try to search for it
in the last 7 days.
And then there's another hadith that even specifies
even more, gives us more clues.
Try to search for it in the odd
nights of the last 10 days. So you
mentioned 10 then you mentioned 7 then we
have the odd nights. What are the odd
nights? 7,
23,
5, 7, and 9.
Well, some scholars they mentioned brothers and sisters
that
the last 10 days one should up his
game.
One should up his game.
If you've been, you know, doing so great
in the first twenty, you should up it
even more.
Specifically, it was mentioned. Also, there's another hadith.
He would tighten his belt
figurative speech
and in Somali they call it Maois
and
game.
And he would wake up his family and
he would you know
brighten the night.
He would lighten his night up by forming
the Ibadat
spending so much time in prayer.
Another thing I'm going to mention here is
whether the system when we look at the
prophet
he
was an individual who was promised Jannah without
Ishaa of the Dua.
You find that the companions there were, you
know, the 10 who were, you know, getting
the attacks of a Jannah.
So let alone the prophet
He was walking on the face of this
earth. He knows that his past and his
future should have forgiven.
And even then Aisha
said to Rabbi You Rasulullah
why do you tire yourself so much?
He's spending so much time in prayer
why his feet are becoming swollen
they're reddening
he says to a fellow Abdul Rahabdin Shura
shall I know be a thankful slave
showing gratitude to Allah
in our prayer
That's one of the ways to, you know,
thank Allah
If this is now him, don't you think
that there's more reason of us spending so
many hours
in the night of prayer standing up and
thanking Allah
with all the blessings that
you know he showed to us.
We thank our father not just through our
tongues. Now that's one of the ways.
Who preferred us over many of his creation.
So saying through the tongue. Also through Seshi
to Shur,
have we ever I was going to ask
a question when is the last time we
done?
Seshat al Shukur we hasten to frustrate him
to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala 10s.
Have we ever even done that? With all
the new blessings that Allah gives us all
the time?
That's another way of showing thanks to Allah
as a wajib.
When anything new came to reward that gave
him, you know, happiness or glad tidings, he
would rush to doing sense to Allah
How it all came about? Because the prophet
was
told
of later on Qadam
but then it was forgotten.
So to me, will they start disputing with
one another? What were they disputing about?
When Leontukhan is going to be and when
Leontukhan is not going to be. When is
there and when is there not?
So what happened? He was raised.
And he, the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
forgot
when it exactly was asked Allah after Allah
has revealed to him. So the prophet said,
Perhaps it's going to be better for you,
you know. Because if a person didn't know
when Laylatul Qadr was most of us would
agree that he won't strive
as much
as he would do on the other nights.
A common mistake that I see every year
just on 27th you find that the messenger
is packed to the
upside.
Now there is some narrations
that is.
When it exactly is over 40 positions.
It's 40 bills out there.
And
I mentioned it in my explanation of saying,
So if these scholars are different, how can
one person,
a common folk come today and think to
himself, okay 7th to 27th, I'm going to
worship Allah as well as no
Allah. These are scholars, jibah, mountains
of knowledge. But
one thing that we know is that
He's described in the last 10 days like
he never used to describe in the holidays.
Also a benefit that Walmin, our brother Sarabhair
Abbas, we don't know him, he comes there
a lot.
A statement that he mentioned that from the
what the scholars mentioned is, the armies are
law al khalith al min alkayin.
Here the true reality comes out of the
people.
Who is from the world or pure and
who is from the world that is Khalif.
Have the people know?
For that night and the rest of the
night he might be waiting his time.
Whoever is true,
he's going to spend every night
trying to get the best and hoping to
get
And not beating himself when it could be,
when it could not be. Last 10 days
he burns himself out
because you might not get another one. Yesterday
when I went to Preston,
one of the brothers they came up to
me
and he said to me recently in Egypt,
you know every day of the month of
Ramadan
people write down their names because they wanna
be from those who give up sweets to
the Musallin of the trawih.
So the lady the lady,
what they do is they cook the sweets
and you know the halal and the makhlaa
or what is called, makhlaa is Swiss, right?
Let's call Swiss. Right?
So in Swiss, I know it's very common
in our Asian culture.
Harambe Lesson, they have actual shops that just,
you know,
cook these sweets, you know, these sweets. I'm
not necessarily fond of them, but it's like
the 10 p ones that the kids like.
But the actual sweets that go around and
that, you know.
So in Egypt what the woman do is
they write down their names on the draft.
Like she wants this day, she wants that
day. There's like a waiting list for the
last 10 days.
And they do this in order to seek
reward by, you know, feeding
the Muslimeen and, you know,
giving them sweets.
So Shahid, well, the point is without me
going too much into detail is that
there was this lady that put her name
down for the 21st.
What? What they done was they changed it
to 26th
7th.
Imam.
When the woman found out, she kept on
telling the imam, no. I don't want 27th.
I want 21st.
And she's disputing and they're going back and
forth.
So they end up getting giving it to
her. What happened?
After that 21st,
she passed away.
Asherahindul, the point brothers and sisters is that
we don't even know if we're going to
reach the 27th.
We should be upping our game and getting
the most and really striving as soon as
the last forget about the the last 10
days from now. From before even Ramadan entered.
You know, ibn Majah. Ibn Majah Ramallah is
from the 6th scholars of hadith.
You You know when he died? On the
22nd of Ramadan in his time.
Also you all know, you know, Muhammad Ali,
Ali Rahmatullah.
Undoubtedly
that kid who turned around when he had
Muhammad Ali.
Mhmm. Yeah. You don't wanna tell him, like,
oh, he's the guy that turns around.
Just before the month of Ramadan last year,
he passed away.
Midling in the Haar recently just before I
left,
I've seen at least 2 people just drop
dead in the Haram. 1 was inside and
1 was outside.
Nobody like any thinks about passing away just
before the month. Everyone's excited, the excitement overwhelms
them.
So what guarantee do we have that we're
going to reach the last 10 nights?
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Salam, he told us
about salat. Pay attention brothers and sisters. Look
at this example that the prophet gave
us. When you stand up for the prayer
pray your Fable prayer.
And we know there isn't much
time between Duhr and Asir, there's a couple
of hours.
And even though there isn't much time you've
been told to pray the Fero prayer you
might not reach another.
Imagine now between the Quran
it's like a whole year.
So that's foremost that we're trying to strive
much more.
I say the Hikma behind it is that
the people don't become too lenient
when it comes to no.
And what do you know about you know
the incredibility of Laylatul Qadr?
And then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala reveals the
eye after that laylatulqadril
khairuminalfishaar.
The laylatulqadr is better than a 1000 months.
There's another hadith which the prophet of Alaihisuram
says
The month has come to you. There is
a night in a day that is better
than a 1000 months.
There's a night in there which is called
Whoever
is prevented this night
then he will be prevented of all good.
You see the credibility
of this night
and the sorrow
of that individual who
he subconsciously
knows that he didn't benefit from. You missed
out on all this reward. You are you
might not get another
later through Qala
let alone a Ramadan.
As we mentioned earlier,
that the Malay can then come down.
And also that which comes down is?
Talazir al Malaikdu Arrugh
feehabidirabbimin
kuliamah.
The Malaka they come down also the who
comes down is Jibreel.
Ruch when you find it in the Quran
from its meaning says
that it means Jibreel.
It
was sent down upon
Jibril the Rooh when it was mentioned in
the Quran Nazarethi
was sent down on the trustworthy
Angel
and today you find people when they leave
the Sarawat
They're cursing Jibreel Hais astray after the prayer.
It's coming from
the shiais who do this after the salawat.
Start hitting the, you know, the
khanal ameen khanal. I mean when Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala he mentioned to us that he
was in Amin they say he was treacherous
which is a contradiction against what Allah mentioned.
So Jibreel alaihis salam
went the malaka and they all come down
And you know brothers and sisters what made
Jibreel alaihis salam
the best of the angels? Does anybody know?
Because he revealed the Quran he revealed the
Quran. Allahu Akbar.
Jibril Alaihis salam
became the best of the angels why because
of the Quran
the Prophet
became the best of the prophets because of
what
Because of the Quran. The Quran came down
upon him.
The night of our Qadr became the best
of the night because of what?
Because of the Quran.
That was the night in which the Quran
came down
and there's no other person in which the
Quran is found in his heart except he
becomes the best of the people.
What's the proofread?
The best of you are those who learn
the Quran and he goes and teaches it.
This has a significance with the Quran
this month. You wanna be the best of
the people then attach yourself to the Quran.
Make that your life.
How you adorn yourself when a calamity hits
you. The Quran teaches
us many of these non Muslims they become
today what
they go and commit suicide goes on maybe
a 15
block building and he throws himself up.
Brothers and says I know people who are
like who are millionaires.
But they're going through so much depression and
stress.
When you look into their lives you find
out what is missing is the Quran And
Allah
told us, When it turns away from the
Quran, they have a depressed life.
Think if a person knew the Quran, you
had to deal with Kalamdi is going to
do that?
Tells him that he's going to test us
with a loss of wealth.
Some of them they turn bankrupt. He goes
in khaats, the end of my life.
And now it's becoming a trend of the
kids. Some of you don't know what I'm
talking about.
It's all online now.
There's a trend of committing suicide.
They record themselves I'm about to commit suicide.
And also a benefit that Shabir Nasimin
Hari Rahmatullah he mentioned is
the fact that the
angels are coming down it shows us the
barakah
and the blessings
you know and the rahma and the mercy
that this day has.
And in that place and in Malaika
Angel refuses to enter into a place that
shows that that place is missing. It's
missing with Barahat.
And that means
that
could cause the malaika, the angel not to
enter into your home
or into your masajid.
Because we know the malaika what did Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala tell us about them?
They don't disobey Allah and they do what
Allah commanded them to do.
They fill the road above them and they
do what they've been told to do.
So the point we're mentioning is that
if you are a new Masjid and this
happens in, you know, some of these
masajid of these brothers, may Allah guide them
from a different *.
Is
taking place.
You think the Malaika are going to attend
the gathering in which Allah is being disobeyed
in?
It's a man. It's a preventive defector.
Another reason why the Malaika might not enter
into your home and I mentioned before that
the place is so tight.
So many of them are coming down.
The prophet told it's not hadith that the
malaika
the angel doesn't enter into home and there's
a pig shop and he dug.
That could be a reason why the Malayika
don't enter into your home.
And I'm not staying away from innovation. That's
something that is so common.
Doing some of these things that have been
newly invented in the Mas'at only in Tughada.
Just like, you know, okay, there's a dispute
on the issue. You feel like the issue
of Modi all these other gatherings that you
have. Okay. Like, some scholars said yes and
no.
Why would you risk your leader to Adar
being destroyed
because of something that you're doing?
Then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala describes this night of
Salam which means safety
because so many people are saved from their
sins
on this night
specifically
on every night you find
that Allah Azza wa has put aqaamin anna.
Any people that
are prevented from the fire.
Here here it goes back to the laylatulqadr
It's a pronoun
that is feminine
and layla
is feminine as well. Its pronoun goes back
to that heta matlaifazil
until
the morning breaks.
It's when all the maniacs they go back
and later to Qadr is finished.
There will be people who benefit and they
got the most out of it in prayer.
And some of them are
They've been prevented.
You've
been given the opportunity
and you blew it.
The best of the angels
as we mentioned Jibreel Alaihi Wasallam.
Sayyidul Malaika
made Dua against the person.
You know who this person was?
And the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi was telling them
the best and the most merciful of them
said Ameen, ask Allah to accept the Dua.
She pleaded make a dua against you and
the most merciful of them. We know how
the prophet was.
Saying,
I mean.
So he's just standing generally in the night
prayer. You know, brothers and sisters, the night
prayer
isn't one of those things that if we
don't do, we get punished for it.
Probably the guy is missing out.
I'm not specifically speaking about Ramallah just generally
being a person is Allah.
And sometimes mentioning his virtues
it's
is a reason why this person now becomes
maybe attached to doing his Nawaf,
his supervisory, polish your prayers.
The prophet told us in a hadith
the
best prayer after the
obligatory prayers is Qiyamulay.
How they're saying that a person is missing
out on?
The tranquility the peace that you feel when
you wake up at night
and everybody is sleeping.
Only they used to sleep in the night
just a little bit.
And they used to Istighfar in the night.
Allah says in another verse to the Prophet
commanding him.
You know why he mentions
and
from the night
commanding him to pray the night prayer.
You know this is a very common question
that people tend to ask and recently couple
of them just all of a sudden
started asking me at one time.
They're trying to stand up for qiyamalay,
but they can't.
And they try every means. I know some
brothers who have maybe 2 aamplots.
And they're not just ordinary ones. But the
the phone that we have is a very
Ta'ban one.
It's a rubbish
one. Yeah. I wanna go they know that
just even maybe makes up the guy next
door.
But still people are prevented.
Because it's such a
it's such a virtue, only some people are
given a success to be able to stand
in the night.
It's a great virtue. It's the prophet said.
Look what he said.
This was the way of the righteous ones
before you.
And it also is a means of getting
close to Allah.
What's that fear will you say he has?
And it also experience a person since
and it also stops a person from sinning.
And it also exposed the sicknesses that a
person has.
While everybody is sleeping
only some people they wake up in the
night
and they are standing in front of Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Most of the people are sleeping
and there's only a few of them
there's other narrations that say that
Allah will say, look he left his firash
while he had tranquility and he was with
you know because when a person is at
night with his family it's one of the
most enjoyable times he has
but he left just to go stand in
front of Allah
This was the way of the salihae.
Some of the scholars of the past
they mentioned that
why is it that we see
certain people they have you know their faces
are glowing.
Scholars will reply that back to them and
say it is because they are al Muamani
stand up in the night and it's a
punanat on them.
One of the things that made a mistake.
And also that shows you this beautiful, you
know, virtue of Tiam
the prophet used to wake up those who
he loved in order to stand up a
prayer.
We know that
Fatima radiAllahu ta'ala Anha
and Ali radiAllahu they really really love Ishaa.
As one of them
you know as they say
love made in heaven or whatever
that
is.
So he
said
our souls are in the hands of Allah
wake us up in the night
So the Prophet
said he left
while he was annoyed
and while he was turning away he was
saying
The person is excessively argumentative. The problem was
reading this ayah. Also this ayah is normally
used that you
know
Had the prophet known the virtue,
the incredible, immense reward that a person he
finds through the Yamile
he wouldn't have woke up the most beloved
of those to him. Fatim and also
because he knew that once
a person is there with his family this
is the most enjoyable time they have but
the Prophet knew
the greatness
and the closeness
that a person he finds in to Allah
Azza wa Jal on waking up for the
night.
We also allow as the wajid to, you
know, benefit us from what we had and
to make us from those who are qawwamun,
salwaamun
excessively fast and also,
you know, do the Amunay something that many
people have been prevented from,
you know.
Is
it the night that you blew came down
and revealed
the first,
you know, it's talking about,
or is it big portion got sent down?
What used to happen is in the time
the prophet through,
from the moment, which the prophet
was given prophethood
23 years,
23 years the Quran used to come down
you know at different times why it would
happen is it will come down later to
Qada
and then slowly slowly Jibreel would reveal it
to the Prophet
also Allah
he mentioned in the Quran
the Quran
The Quran that we send not for you
to recite
so that you can recite it upon the
people
you know at different times
you know gradually at stages
so here's the Quran related to Qara
and then the Jibreel alaihis salat was done
was slowly
slowly teach the prophet
and not all at once
because we know for example the issue of
Khamah
the issue of khamah and the time of
the Prophet sallallahu alaihi and the companions
it wasn't made
Haramul at once
it wasn't
made Haramulah once
3 ayaat came down
the first one yes
they ask you about the hama
there is a,
there's a what was it? Kabir?
Kabir. There's a very big,
if a minute, there's a very big sin
inside it.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala he mentioned is
evil that outweighs benefits. This was the first
thing. He had not been commanded.
And
Oh you who believe do not come close
to the prayer. Why you are intoxicated? So
now they're only being told
not to
be intoxicated at the time of the prayer.
But other times outside they pray you can
go and drink
then the last Ayah came down gradually,
you know.
You know Hamar, Islam,
may start gambling
you know these Islam
they all what
They're rich. They're niches.
They are something that is impure.
Stay away from it so that you may
be successful.
Ashaahilu, the point being they were, you know,
gradually revealed to the prophet but it would
come down
as a chunk on Laylatul Thadr throughout the
23 years.
And another benefit I'm going to mention inshallah
is you can clearly see here
how Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala nurtured
the companions slowly slowly slowly.
Sometimes they revert. We might overwhelm him.
Give him the whole Quran act upon
him. And he sees that such a big
battle.
But you give it to him slowly slowly
slowly
and,
and slowly you build on from that.
And,
stop.
Yeah.
Brother,
Good. A few questions.
The first one is, the start time when
it stops,
there is a fellow.
You also mentioned about the all nights,
but you didn't mention 21st night or maybe
I've not heard it. So you mentioned 23rd,
24th, etcetera. I didn't hear maybe Okay. Now
what I mentioned was this, 3 narrations. You
have the prophet said,
said,
prophet try to search for it in the
last 10 days. That's one hadith.
Then another hadith specifies even more.
The prophet
Look for it in the last 10 days.
Beybopel becomes weak or tired or lazy. Then
they searched for it in the last 7
days.
Are you with me? So we will discuss
it even more. Then the other one
try to search for it in the odd
nights
of the last 10 days.
So when you put all the narrations together
you find that it's been specified.
See one of them specifically
specified the one that says 10 into 7
and then this one says, pot,
you know. So,
what these scholars they derive from this is
it's more likely to be the last 7
on the bottom ice,
you know. But what they say is that
when the last 10 days comes, a person
hops his game. Then the last 7 even
more. On the odd nights even even more.
On the 27th,
you know.
But like we mentioned, it is safer than
a person every single night of the last
event. Because one of the questions I'll say
to you,
in this side of the world, later than
others today.
But it's morning there though.
So how would we know?
Do you understand? So, I mean, that's one
of the and the only way to be
safe is every single night you try to,
you know, get the mess out of it.
If you can try and get maybe a
holiday for your last 10 days from work,
then be it.
So,
yeah.
The the start time, actually, like, what the
is it Isha
or after,
you break the fast death time or,
You you mentioned about,
Dhamur Lej, which is like after you sleep.
Is that Yeah.
Yeah. Basically, you know, the time of the
prayer, when you look
at, when the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
and the companions, they used to pray.
It's not necessarily something different. It's only it
has different names when it's done on different
parts of the night or in the way
the form has been done. Like Taraweeh comes
from the word Raha.
They call it Taraweeh because after 4 we
take a break. Raha means taking a rest.
Qiyamul Lim that term they normally use it
for and tahajjud last part of the night.
Okay. But if you look at the life
of the prophet Salas, he only prayed one
prayer throughout the night
you know he used to and he lengthened
it so much they would go out throughout
the whole night I remember in Yemen when
I was in Damascus they used to try
these different forms there was even a time
straight after Isha they prayed all the way
to
Faisal
the last 10 days they were doing that
also if you look at
Halil
Aisha which is found in
he would pray for
and
Aisha would say don't ask about Islam meaning
was so long
and they would pray another 4 don't ask
about Islam because he was so long then
he would pray 3
you know. So
after Isha last when the night prayer in
the month of Ramadan starts,
and normally you wouldn't pray the night prayer
after Maghrib anyway even though the night actually
starts from the time of Maghrib. We wouldn't
pray it. We wouldn't call it
Qiyam or Layl or anything like that after
Maghrib.
So
it's from Maghrib? No. No. It's from Isha.
When you start praying Yeah. It's from Isha
all the way to the morning.
You know, safety and peace to them too,
the time of Fajr. So a person has
till the,
adan to keep,
praying to the Ambu Lein and to engage
in the dhikr and remembrance of Allah Sifar.
Your cousin does get tired. And if you
do get tired brothers and sisters,
The prophet of war is never used to
leave at Piyamalay.
If he became tired or laid, all would
he do? He would sit down.
A lot of people tend to be, maybe
a behemoth about this.
Even here, don't feel embarrassed to sit down
and stop praying if you're tired.
It's perfectly fine. But you only get half
of the reward.
If you only get half of the reward.
I know it, my brothers and sisters. I've
seen this in some Masali they do is
like in Liverpool, they were doing this. Kaisha
sits down. But all the Masali, you find
that it's something
either he goes off because he's tired. When
you're sitting down, you know, you're,
able to pray sitting down. It's not much
of a difficulty.
Also, pray sitting down.
You're feeling energetic again. Stand up. Sit down.
A prophet never left it. Landed is suffer
while he was traveling or
while he was Harvard, while he was present
in a city.
How do I know? What's the symptoms of?
What's the
There there is a narration. I haven't memorized
it.
But, you know,
I really wanted to memorize this, but I
didn't get a chance.
Yani, they say that you feel sukina
on that date,
rain might come down as well.
You know?
But Allahu Alem I can't remember exactly
can't remember exactly
but
I seem to myself like I would have
given a priority there was something that was
really important
you know and that was going to benefit
us on that night because
you only realize halama after Leir Zukhal is
done
after Leir Zukhal is done you begin to
realize okay you know you can feel
that, the rain has come down and so
on and so forth.
I don't think rain is more in it
than this sala alaaba. Yeah.
No. From the thing that the scholars, they
mentioned, Khadji Khul Khadji Khul Khadji Khul Khadji
Khul Khadji Khul Khadab, they told me only
realized, okay, after, maybe half of the night,
3 quarters of the night, I may have
been done.
I think that's
if it
brothers and sisters, may Allah bless you all.
I,
it's a very nice misery. I remember I
came here before, and the people are very
nice to ask Allah as well to bless
you all and to make this a month
which, you know, we offer the best and
the optimum reward,
you know, and, make dua for me as
well while you are fasting. You know, our
duas doesn't just get accepted at a time
of iftar
it's a misconception that people have you know
some scholars they see that hadith to be
Raif
liswaamin dawatun alinda
al fitri Mustajab
Dawatun Mustajab are in the fitr
the right person has a Dua that is
accepted only at the time of fitr but
there's another haditha as Sahih which the prophet
said 3 people their Dua will be rejected
and one of them said
hada lifdurah I used Diraah
the person is fasting until he breaks it
so you have 17 18 hours to make
Dua and your Dua won't be you know,
rejected, you know, so
