Brothers and sisters,
when I do do this topic,
I'm not trying to attack or insult anyone
specifically,
and I'm not trying to refer to everyone
because there's different are
all aware, there are all aware, there's a
law of fasaid, corruption, trials, and tribulations
that
happen on all these
social networking web sites, the social media that
we have. But Insha Allahu Ta'ala, I just
want to stop at a few things
and Insha Allahu Ta'ala and shed some light
on it. Hoping, wallahi, hoping that every single
one of us, we act upon this and
we take it very very seriously. I don't
think there's any point
the brother organizing lectures, organizing
this event
when the people are gonna
come and they're just gonna listen and everyone's
just gonna go and just carry on with
their ways.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells us about the
stories in the Quran. They're just not there
to give us a, you know, a good
or a bedtime story, these stories of Yusuf
Musa
When the verses come to us, it either
becomes
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said,
The Quran is either a plea for you,
is going to defend you, is going to
be against you.
Why? Because you either acted upon it or
you didn't.
So when we hear these ahadith,
we hear these stories from the Quran,
they're meant to be there for us to
use
our minds
and to come to realization.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells about the stories
in the Quran.
Tell them about the stories so that they
may think.
So that they may think, they come to
realization, they change their lives.
And that's a whole different topic anyway, inshallahutta'ala.
But brothers and sisters, one thing we need
to realize, most of us here, we either
have brothers, sisters,
whether there's any parents here, I don't know,
that have children.
Sometimes I think
we
tend to have
too much of good assumptions when it comes
to
our children
all the young brothers and sisters.
And also, I wanna point out as though
having doubts is a disease. Constantly having doubts
about people is a disease.
But the reality of the situation is
that a lot of people that we see
to
be innocent a lot of people that we
see to be innocent, whether they are brothers,
sisters, cousins, whoever it might be,
how many girls do you find? And please,
I don't want anyone to get upset. I
just wanna be very very straight up here
and talk the reality and
we will come to think
how many girls
today you find
that when they are leaving the home,
The mother, the father, everybody knows or thinks
that
my girl, she goes to madrasa.
And likewise with the guy, there's no difference.
She goes to madrasa.
She learns the Quran. She wears the hijab.
But in reality,
when it comes to social media,
she's one of the worst of the people.
She is displaying her self, trying to grab
the attention of others
and all
sorts. And how many women are there? Because
of this social media, they've been corrupted.
Her shishma, her shyness
has gone out the window.
What she was before because of the social
media. And likewise, Sheikh Soleiman Arrahili says the
same thing, and I've got this from him.
How many women
chased women who were in their homes? Nobody
knows about them because of this jihad,
this mobile phone with all these different forms
of social media.
A guy comes and he corrupts the life,
however,
and this is the relative of the situation.
Sorry for being very, very straight, but me
as a person who used to be
in these kind of things, whether whether it
was Myspace and all this other stuff that
they have, we know the reality that goes
on, so we can only relate it to
the people. Myspace.
What is it?
So Inshallah, I want to talk about 3
kinds of scenarios.
And you find whether it's the men and
the women, they always tend to find themselves
in one of these 3. And like I
I said before, I'm not talking about them
guys
or them people who might use Facebook
for Dawah or
for whatever other reason, whether it's business and
things like that. We're talking about the majority
of those, the Bel Ravis, the majority,
who are on Facebook, Instagram.
Masheif Masheif I used to call Facebook Fisk
book,
the book of transgression.
I don't know what he would say now
if you find all these other different forms
of social media.
Taib.
And, as the brother Walid, he came up
with a new name, Fitz and a gram.
That's the first time I ever heard it.
But you you find 3
types of people.
The first type that I wanna talk
about is
and I'm gonna try and be as balanced
as possible because, otherwise, there's gonna be problems.
The woman
that comes out on social media
dressed inappropriately,
wearing makeup, wear a bit might be beautifying
herself
on social media.
This woman,
she might go and leave the house,
go to the shop whether it's town or
wherever it might be, and she might walk
past
10, 15, 20 people going to the
shop.
In this Haram state, and we know
that the prophet
said, when a woman leaves, it is not
permissible
for the husband to stop his wife from
going to the masjid.
Do not prevent the woman from going to
the masjid.
But
They should leave while they are unbeautified
when leaving to the masjid.
Whether it is a akhar, she's not allowed
to come out with perfume. The prophet Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam
Any woman that comes out and she's wearing
perfume and she goes and walks past the
men and they smell her, she's a fornicator.
I'm not saying this. Not me. It's the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
Whether it is any sort and any form
of beautification,
it is
not permissible.
So the woman now, she comes out of
her house.
She gets the sin for maybe these 10,
15 people
holds that account.
Then you have the type of girl that
comes out on social media.
This individual
is worse than the one that comes out
of a house. Why? Because only 10, 15
people saw her or 20 people saw her.
You have on Facebook,
if you have friends and the friend friends,
and then it goes on, the friends, friends,
friends. Let's just say each friend has a
100 friends,
100 friends.
Every single individual now has access
to your Facebook and is able to see
your face.
A lot of the girls, they always say,
why do you always pick on the girls?
Tell the guy to lower his gaze, and
they've got a point. But at the same
time, there's a big blame on you as
well. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala just say,
Tell the believing man to lower his gaze.
And that's right.
But why are you coming out being a
fitna knowing that the women are a fitna
for the guys?
And at the same time the Prophet SAW
Alaihi Wasallam said,
The woman, she's a And the Prophet SAW
Alaihi Wasallam
said, I haven't left the fitna that is
more harmful
and more great upon my ummah than the
women.
So the woman comes out and she displays
herself. She exposes how she looks on social
media.
Wallahi, it is fit
with this girl that comes out. The hadith
of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam when
he said,
Whoever now calls him is guidance.
For him is the sin. Sin. Everyone that
follows him up on that sin,
and that won't take anything away from their
sins.
So you coming out now. Even though you
might not say it directly, everybody come look
at me, look at how, look, this, that.
Or
sorry, with the actual tongue saying it or
writing it down, but that's the reality of
the matter.
Putting your face on Facebook,
not even just a normal picture,
but the best form of picture they stand
in the light
in order to come out more light or
light skin or whatever it might be.
When the reality is they look completely different.
And that goes to the men as well.
That happens to the men as well,
and they try to do the exact same
thing.
But
everyone now,
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says,
do not cooperate in
evil.
Single one of them is what?
Cooperating a sin and evil. So they all
share out the sin,
and that's the reality of the matter. Even
though you might not say with with your
tongue, it carries on. You know how we
always hear about
the continuous charity
that everybody knows about that carries on even
your grave. There's something called
The continuous reward and the continuous sin.
You in your grave
you in your grave
can carry on getting rewards if you taught
someone
If you taught the hadith and the guy
goes and teaches people the hadith, they get
the reward for it.
Forever and ever
in your grave, and likewise your sin.
Likewise, the sin of a person.
When he falls into sin and this sin
is still present amongst the people, it is
carrying
on. Brothers and sisters, how many times have
we sinned? Because of images
because of images.
And one brother, one of my close cousins
was just telling me,
there was a girl there was a girl.
They photoshopped her picture
onto what a naked woman
because she left it on
there.
And it carries on. It carries on. Why?
Because
