And then Ibn Al Qayyim
he
says,
And there would be times that the messenger
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam would do
his with a
my brothers and my sisters is this.
Okay? When you put
2 average sized hands together,
and when you fill that now with water,
this is considered to be a mud.
Yes, my brothers and my sisters, I know
it sounds or it looks
impossible,
but the reality of the matter is it
is possible. The Messenger SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam did
it,
the scholars of our time,
they've done it, and I'm sure we can
do it as well, if we put our
minds to it.
And then he says,
And perhaps there was even a time
when he did wudu
with 2 thirds of Amud.
So it was less than it, 2 thirds
of it. SubhanAllah.
And there was times when the messenger of
Allah 'alayhi wa sallam did all those
with more than that.
Okay?
And he said,
He was from those who
were the most gentle when he came to
pouring
the water for the wudu.
He never just took the water and then
started dashing it or just started pouring it
out.
Very rushfili, la.
Where did he think this from? The hadith
of Anas Malika radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu.
He said,
He said that a messenger
used to make
with
a
mud. And when he came to,
washing himself,
like having wussul,
it would
be the Okay?
The amount that he used to use is
that which would
cover
Assai.
What is Assai my brothers and my sisters?
Assai is
4 of these.
So, you take the water,
you put in a bucket. You take the
water, you put in a bucket. You take
the water, and then you put in a
bucket. You take the water, and you put
it in the bucket. So Asa'ah is 4
of them.
Okay? Ilhamsati
Amdad, and
it would reach also
5 of them. Okay? The Messenger SallAllahu Alaihi
Wasallam my brothers and my sisters, he made
in such a way and he also did
the ghusl,
the purificatory
bath in such a way as well. Where
did he take this from also my brothers
and my sisters with regards to the ghusl?
Hosul? I know this is obviously we're sidetracking
here, but it's a nice benefit that we
can take, Insha'Allah
Ta'ala.
Because I'm sure, and it's happened to me
in the past, like how?
4 of these handfuls or even 5 of
these handfuls, how on earth did the messenger
Alaihi Wasallam
used to,
do also like that?
So then you have the hadith of Abi
Ja'far.
Abi Ja'far annahu kanaindajabribna
adillahi
huwaabuhu.
He says that one time him and his
father, they were with the noble companion Jabril
Abdulla
RadiAllahu
Ta'ala Anhu
Wa'indahu Qaumun Fasa'aloo, and There was a group
of people who were surrounding him, and they
started asking him. Anil Uhusl. They started asking
him about the purificatory
bath, the Uhusl.
An individual now, he has sexual *,
having a *, you have to carry
out the wussul, the purificatory
bath, right? So after being asked the question,
Jair ibn Abdulla,
he said,
A is sufficient for you. And we've already
explained
how much the saw is. So a man
he said, This is not enough for me.
Faqalah Jabirun. So Jabir ibn Abdillah radiAllahu ta'ala
Anhu responded back and he said,
This was sufficient
for someone who had more
hair than you and also the one who
was better than you, Meaning the Prophet Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam.
Thumma'amma nafeezhoop This was narrated my brothers and
my sisters by Al Imam Al Bukhari Rahimahullah
Ta'ala
Ibnu Haja Rahimahullah Ta'ala my beloved brothers and
sisters, he derived a very beautiful benefit from
his Hadith.
He says,
In this you can derive
the permissibility
of
rebuking
someone
with harshness and sternness.
If that individual now is just being someone
who is engaging in disputations,
argumentations,
okay? And this is exactly what Jibre ibn
Abdillah sensed from that questioner.
But then the Qur'i says,
If the one who is now rebuking, the
one who's coming with the rebuttal, in this
case it was Jabir ibn Abdullah radiAllahu ta'ala
Anhu. If he intends by this to manifest
and to clarify the truth, and to also
teach the one who are listening a lesson.
So Jabir ibn Abdullah radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu, he
sends from this questioner
a type
of stubbornness. You've asked the question,
Jaimna 'Abdulla
says to you,
That which is sufficient for you is a
'saar.' Four of these.
Okay?
After he was told, he goes, This is
not sufficient for me.
So Jabun 'Abdulillai wanted to teach him a
lesson and also the ones who were around
him wanted to teach them a lesson as
well in how to go about asking a
question. And once an answer is given to
you, what do you do? Do you respond
back in such a way? So he said
to him,
But rather this was sufficient for the one
who had more hair than you, and the
one who is also more virtuous than you.
Okay?
So,
this is one of the benefits that Ibn
Hajjar al Askelani took
from this.
Imam Mahind
my brothers and my sisters, he said with
regards to wazool, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
Mean fiqhirajuli
from the fiqh of an individual.
What shows the fiqh of an individual my
brothers and my sisters and his understanding of
the deen, is him using little water when
it comes to his wudhu. An incident also
that took place in the time of Al
Imam Mahindrahi malaatu'ala. And Al Marwazir Uhma Allahu
Ta'ala he narrates this. He said,
There was a time when I wanted to
assist Imam Ahmed Uhma Allahu Ta'ala with his
ablution.
So I started covering him.
Just so the commoners couldn't see him. Just
so the commoners couldn't see him.
Just so they don't think that Imam Ahmad
Rahimahullah Ta'ala does not know how to make
wudu.
Because he was using such less water, subhanAllah.
So he's covering him, just so the commoners
who don't study,
don't think that this great imam
does not know how to make wudu. Because
what most people are used to my brothers
and my sisters is, as soon as they
get into rata'am, we're gonna come into this
in a moment insha Allahu Ta'ala.
And then so much water before we've even
started has come out. Maybe triple the amount
that Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
normally was using.
Yeah, this is an incident that took place
in the time of Alayna Mahmoud Rahimullahahu
Ta'ala. Statement of Ibn Qayna Rahimullah Ta'ala when
he said, Wabisulu Sayi Tarata. And there would
be times where he would be using 2
thirds of it. And he took this from
the hadith of Ummah
Ummarata
bin to Kabin radiAllahu ta'ala Anha.
He said, An Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, 'Tawaba'
wasallam,
He carried out the ablution.
Fatahbima'in
feeina'in
Qadari
thulu thayilmud.
And the Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam brought a
utensil,
which had in it water that was the
amount of 2 thirds of a mud. So
it was less than the mud itself.
So if the mud was surprising to us,
this is more surprising now. But that's something
that the messian sallallahu alaihi wa sallam did,
and it's something that we should try. And
then he also said,
sometimes it would be more than a mud.
And then he goes on to say, my
beloved brothers and sisters,
And the Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
used to warn his Ummah
from being wasteful when it comes to carrying
out the wudu.
Wa Akbarah,
and he narrated to us, ibn al Khaim
is saying this,
that there would be people
from his ummah,
from his nation.
Man You Tadee Fil Tuhoor.
Who violate
when it comes to the ablution,
and when it comes to purification. What is
he referring to? He's referring to wasting water,
my brothers and masters, and how the messenger
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam mentioned that there will
come a time when the people will do
this. SubhanAllah, a sign of prophecy. He mentioned
this 1400 years ago. And is this something
that happens my brothers and my sisters? Of
course it happens.
So the question that arises now, my brothers
and my sisters, is it haram now
to do more than that which the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam did with regards to
his wudu?
Or is it something that is disliked? Because
we know that the Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
as we're gonna come into inshaAllah ta'ala later,
the most complete version of wudhu is to
wash
that which the messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam washed
thrice. There was times when he did it
once, there was times when he did it
twice, but the most complete version is to
do it thrice, which we're gonna come into
insha Allahu Ta'ala
later on going through the description of his
wudu. What if an individual now wanted to
do more than 3 times? Let's say for
example, my face. I'm gonna start washing it
4 times because I feel like it. Not
because I need to, that's a different case.
1 didn't wash his face 3 times properly,
and he wanted now to make up for
that by doing it a 4th time because
there was a part that was
washed, that's a different case. And in that
case you would have to. But he just
says, oh, let me just wash it and
then keep washing it.
Is that something that is allowed? And what
is his ruling?
How will you answer the questions in the
day of judgment if you don't know the
answers?
This is why the hadith mentions that seeking
knowledge is obligatory
on every single Muslim.
Knowledge
is how you will survive that day.
Knowledge
is a muslim's
survival guide.
Assalaamu alaikum. I've got a quiz for you.
This quiz very simple, 3 questions inshallah ta'ala.
Question number 1, what does Allah's name Allah
mean? Question number 2, what is the Prophet
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam's
full name? The third question is, when you
go to the toilet and when you're doing
tahara and you're using tissue paper to wash
yourself, what is the minimum number of tissue
paper wipes that you must wipe yourself with
as a bare minimum that you have to
do? Simple questions right? If you have the
answer to all 3,
extent. But if you became confused with these
very basic questions
then as a brother I have to ask
you right now to really just take a
step back and pause. These are basic things
that are obligatory for every single Muslim to
know. The prophet salallahu alayhi was saying,
Muslim
in seeking knowledge is obligatory upon every single
Muslim, one Muslim and every single Muslim woman.
You need to know this stuff. Allah created
you to know this stuff. What is the
evidence Allah created you to know this stuff?
He created you so that you can worship
him alone as he said in Surat Dariyat.
How could you worship him without knowing who
he is? And how can you worship him
without not knowing how to worship him?
The study of aqidah and the study of
fiqh. Take out 1 year of your life
part time,
just 4 hours a week to learn about
the absolute basics of your Deen. We have
a program starting us called the Muslim survival
guide. It is what the title insinuates.
It's a guide that will show a Muslim
how to survive.
Survive what? The questioning within the grave and
the questioning on the day of judgement Insha'Allah.
Insha'Allah, you're going to learn the basics of
your deen. You wanna carry on after that?
Fantastic.
But if all you wanna do is take
out this, at least you've got the basics.
Now it is a 1 year program and
it's being taught not just by myself, but
multiple knowledge college teachers. We have 2 classes
in between the two classes.
We have myself, Yacine.
We have
and others. You can check on the page
in the description below by scrolling down to
see who the teachers are. We'll be teaching
you, connecting with you personally, teaching you life.
It's not just going to be audio and
video. No. You will actually be communicating with
us
inshallah wata'ala in a class. But I must
bring something to your attention.
The spaces are extremely limited so I'm really
excited to have you on board on Muslim
Survival Guide. Don't let shaitan get in the
way right now. Just commit
for 1 year, 38 weeks. Learn about your
deen
and take that space before someone else takes
it And that's it. You're going to be
with the Knowledge College teachers
throughout the academic year. Sign up for the
