Also ibn al Taym rahemala ta'ala said,
Sheikh Al Islam Yaqul.
Some of the companions of Sheikh Alissamatayim rahemullahu
ta'ala, they used to say,
I wish I could treat my friends
the same way Ibnutania
would treat his enemies.
I wish I'll repeat that again. So,
It drops in.
I wish I could treat my friends
the same way Ibnutaimiyahu would treat his enemies.
How did he used to treat them? Sheikh
One time I came to Ibn Taymoorhan to
give him good news
that one of his biggest enemies has just
passed away, and those who used to harm
him the most.
He told me off, and he became upset
at me, and he said,
Then he rushed. He went to pay his
condolences
to his family.
Today,
I will take his place for you guys.
Anything that you guys need, insha'allah, I'm there.
I'll be there to help you guys.
This is the man, my brothers and my
sisters, that used to harm him the most
from his greatest of enemies, and this is
how he's treating his family.
Then he goes on to say,
This minzile my brothers and my sisters
is speaking about
how one should not turn away from constantly
pondering upon his situation.
Is his iman dropping? Is he giving any
concern to that?
How can he increase on it?
How can he become
somebody who corrects some of the mistakes
that
he's
doing?
And look at Umar ibn Khattab radiAllahu ta'ala
Anhu. The man who claimed
hold yourself to account
before that accountability,
the reckoning starts.
And I mentioned this story yesterday.
When a man came to him,
and he was what?
He was busy. So
You leave the Khalifa when he is free,
when he doesn't have anything busying him,
but you only come to him when he
is busy with the affair of the Muslims.
He ended up hitting him
with a cane.
So when this individual, he left
while he was sad, Umriq Al Khattab remembered
what he'd done.
And then he called him back again.
Hit me the same way I hit you.
Faibar Raju, the man refused.
My right, I will leave it with you
and will also inshallah to leave it for
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for your
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for Yomul Qiyamah. Either
you have one of 2 choices.
Either you leave this for Yomul Qiyamah
or you deal with it right now.
Oh, sorry, you leave your haqq with me.
He said, inshallahta'ala,
I'll leave it for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
to deal with it on your markdown because
you oppress me.
So then he left.
He came to his house,
He prayed 2 raka'a and he sat down.
You were somebody who was very very low
and Allah azza wa jal raised you. Sometimes
people tend to forget where they came from.
Before you used to be x, y, and
z
as Allah mentions,
but then he guided you.
He blessed you.
And we forgot where we came from.
But then we start dealing with people in
a certain way.
And he was misguided and Allah guided you.
And he was weak and Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala honored you.
And Allah made you a khalifa. A man
came to you to seek your aid and
assistance
because of somebody who oppressed him.
And what did you do? You ended up
oppressing him.
Why are you going to be saying to
your lord tomorrow
when you meet him?
He kept on, you know, holding himself to
account
until the people they started feeling sorry for
him.
My point is my brothers and my sisters,
how many of us actually do that before
we go to sleep? All the different interactions
that we had with the people, did I
oppress him? Did I say something I shouldn't
have said? Maybe drop him a message, brother
forgive me. I shouldn't have done that.
To all of this my brothers and my
sister we forget. It just goes
past our minds. Right? Hadar Umar ibn Khattab,
a man who knew my brothers and my
sisters who was entering into Al Jannah.
He was given glad tidings while he was
still living.
This is before he became a Khalifa.
And then he goes on to say,
What they done with my brothers and my
sisters
also is that they would empty their hearts
from
10 things, right? Dayb ul Taym Rahim Allahu
Ta'ala mentions that brings about the love of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
All their movements
and their concern and their worries
and the things they wanna do is sincerely
for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And not necessarily for the creation
and the shaitan.
You know my brothers and my sisters, it
isn't necessarily sufficient to just empty your heart.
Because when you empty something, my brothers and
my sisters, it needs to be filled with
something.
It really does.
Because when you empty something, you will find
that things will creep into it.
And likewise, this is how the heart works
as well.
You've emptied it now from the things that
busy away from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. You
have to fill it up with something.
What is this something that you need to
fill it up
with? By constantly being worried about Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala in everything that you do, every
step that you take, and every move that
you make.
You found ways of how to get closer
to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, and your mind
is constantly what?
Concerned,
how can I improve my Ibadah?
How can I find more ways of gaining
the satisfaction of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala?
And also my brothers and masters, this salah
that we pray.
One of the points that the scholars they
mentioned with regards to how to attain the
khushoor,
is that a person prepares him self mentally
and physically beforehand.
The azaan my brothers and my sisters is
there for a reason.
It's that a person he prepares himself mentally,
physically.
Look at Hati Mal Assam. This is just
one example of how to maybe go about
the issue of
freeing our hearts for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Hatemullah assalamassulillah ansalati. When he was asked about
his
salah, he said, When the time of salah
comes, I perfect my
wudu. And I come to the place where
I want to pray.
For
I try to make myself collective
or calm myself down, be in the right
state of mind.
Then I go to my salat.
Then I place the kaaba in front of
me.
Okay?
And I also place the bridge that is
above the fire under my feet.
And I place the Jannah on my right
and the fire on my left.
And I place the angel of death behind
me.
I pray it as if it is my
last prayer.
Are you with me my brothers and my
sisters?
Constantly thinking of ways of how to get
closer to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
and it doesn't stop there.
Once he starts these actions, he tries his
utmost best to remain consistent,
and he doesn't stop there.
He is constantly thinking of how he can
perfect these acts of worship
and find more ways of how to attain
the love and satisfaction
of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Every breath is for Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
and every move is for Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala.
It was said to Lee Hamdoon Al Qasar.
Why is it the speech of the people
of the past, the salaf, is more beneficial
than our speech?
He said
Because when they spoke,
it was for
al Islam becoming honorable,
and also for the souls to become saved.
Warid al Rahmani was also for the satisfaction
of the most merciful one.
And when we speak,
we do it in order to honor ourselves,
and also to attain a share of this
dunya,
and also to be accepted by the people.
Can you see my brothers? I mean, this
part is really really deep.
They spoke for the honouring of Al Islam
and to save the people because they really
cared about them. And also to seek the
satisfaction
of their Lord. But today we might speak
because we are just trying to be accepted
by the people, and to attain something of
this dunya,
and also to honor ourselves.
Even Fudayl ibn Ayad rahimullah wa ta'ala he
said,
How sweet is the speech
of the companions of the messian Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam.
Do you know why this is the case?
Why it is so sweet?
I don't know.
Because simply
they only wanted Allah Subhanahu with everything that
they've done.
And then he concludes and he says,
What an excellent
companionship
for those who have taken
these paths that we have spoken about. Tufdihilal
khayrat. This is now going to lead
to many khayrat, many acts of goodness,
and many acts of kindness.
These are the people my brothers and my
sisters, who are going to be with those
who Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said.
And whoever obeys Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and
His messenger,
they are going to be from those who
Allah azza wa Jal has favored from the
nabiheen.
The prophets,
those who are truthful.
The martyrs and also the saliheen, those who
are righteous. And what an excellent companionship to
have.
And may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala make every
single one of us
here today
those who are accompanying these people who were
mentioned in this verse.
Because this is exactly what we want. We
studied
these lines of poetry, my brothers and my
sisters,
for one thing, to become the best of
creation, to become the best of the people,
to become from the holy Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala.
There was a lot of nice statements
that we may have mentioned of the salif.
They are not just there my brothers and
my sisters as a theory.
Anybody who takes the theory and doesn't do
the practical when learning how to drive, it
does not make sense whatsoever.
We study the theory in order to go
and put that into practice, and this is
exactly what we are trying to do through
this.
These characteristics my brothers and my sisters take
it home.
Write it down.
These trace of the heart and also these
trace that should be apparent on the action.
And let it be
apparent upon you.
Let it have an impact on your life.
And Insha'Allahu ta'ala you're on your way. Because
my brothers and my sisters, death
is
something that is going to come to any
of us and we are not guaranteed when
it's going to happen.
So let us try and make it apparent
on our limbs insha'allahu ta'ala at the earliest
opportunity possible.
Really my brothers and masters, it was an
absolute pleasure coming
to you guys and benefiting insha Allahu Ta'ala
myself and taking the reminder myself, and then
also giving you guys this reminder.
And I ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala if
He doesn't
gather us together again
to gather us and bring us together Insha'Allah
inshaa'ala. I really really hope you guys benefited
inshaa'ala.
Ta'ala. This is the last lesson we'll be
having
and insha Allahu Ta'ala we will meet
again. B'idnillahi
ta'ala.
Insha Allah. Assakumullah khairan.
Any questions?
From the signs of an accepted action
is
that
you've seen nothing of it.
You look down on it.
Uh-huh.
And it's also very very small in your
heart.
See, they're all very similar meaning, you know.
Most important point that he's trying to basically
get across to you guys is
that
it shouldn't mean much. It should keep you
on your toes that you keep doing more
and more and more.
Because if you think to yourself,
oh masha'Allah. You know that Ibadah that I
done is so great, and this is gonna
get me into jannah. How do you know
it's getting you into jannah?
So you'd rather be saved than sorry coming
on your madriyama.
That if one didn't get accepted, so many
more are there actually for you.
And that kind of mentality keeps you on
your toes to do better and better.
Yeah.
Any other questions, guys?
Sisters, they didn't send anything.
Okay, guys.
