And he goes on to say,
These people my brothers and my sisters,
they ended up reaching a station.
And And this station, my brothers and my
sisters, is a station of a riqa, satisfaction
when they go through trials and tribulations. And
this one my brothers and my
sisters, it's a really really important one if
you wanna become from the greatest of the
people.
You have patience
when you are stricken
with trials and tribulations.
You have a station, a level that is
higher than that.
And that is what minzilatul rida.
Becoming pleased and satisfied with the trials and
tribulations that you go through.
There are some people my brothers and my
sisters that walk on the face of this
earth,
when they go through difficulties and problems,
they actually
experience enjoyment.
They are not moved whatsoever.
They don't become moved.
He said, alhamdulillah. He's actually, you know, really
pleased that he's gone through a trial and
tribulation.
Why?
Because the messenger salallahu alayhi was somebody who
say,
For Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala loves the person
who's going to trial him.
And these trials and tribulations, my brothers and
my sisters, makes that person strong. It really
does.
It makes his body bulletproof.
Bulletproof, I think maybe that's the best way
to put it,
In the sense where
it is bulletproof from the different problems that
he keeps getting hit by.
So next time he goes through it, it's
like, I've already been through it so many
times.
Really, it doesn't make a difference.
Even Sheikh Ullisame Taimur hamalahu ta'ala, he mentioned
something very powerful. He said,
In this dunya there is a jannah, there's
a paradise.
Whoever doesn't enter into this paradise, he won't
enter into the paradise of the akhirah.
Some of the scholars they mentioned that this
jannah is jannah tur rida.
Having the satisfaction when you go through difficulties.
Even one time my brothers and my sisters,
he mentioned
about Sheikh Usanim Taymiyyah rhamalala wa ta'ala. One
time what
he said to him was because you have
to understand guys, Ibrahim was tortured.
He was tortured.
He died in prison.
And then when they took everything away from
him like, you know, the scrolls and even
his pen,
he died.
That's how much they wanted to annihilate him
because of the ilm. He didn't see people,
you know,
in many, many thousands and thousands attending his
classes.
The same way today,
you have like millions of people benefiting from
his works, even the non muslims are benefiting
from his works.
He died in prison.
He said,
What can my
enemies do to me? My Jannah is in
my heart.
What he meant by this is his iman
that was in his heart, and also the
kitab and the sunnah that he memorized. Wherever
I go, it's always with me.
If I'm put in prison,
it's I'm by myself. It's me and my
Lord.
In Mutaymah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala before mentioned? One
of the ways to attain. The love of
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is what?
Being in seclusion.
Last third of the night, it's you and
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Sometimes guys, my brothers and my sisters, people
who wish to get away from everybody
because there's people around them all the time.
Just once moments with his rod.
Sheikh Ullissam Mateymu hamalawta a'ala, If I get
put in prison by myself, Ubu Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala,
I can study, I can revise, I can
do zikr of Allah aza wa jal. I
have that free time, that free time that
many people today don't have
because of the kids, the family, the work.
He's always around people. He struggles to find
time for himself. Just Ibadah going to the
corner, breaking down in front of Allah azaawajal.
And that was also one of the things
that we mentioned. Right? Breaking down in front
of Allah aza wa jal in humility by
yourself.
He said,
Me being killed is a shahadah or become
Insha'Allah Ta'ala.
And if I get kicked out of my
city,
I go on a tour.
Tourist,
I begin to see different places. I go
for
travel.
This is He's saying this, my brothers and
my sisters, after all the trouble that he
went through,
looking at the bright side of things,
the benefits that could come out of the
difficulties that he's going through.
You know, Ibn Al Uqaym then
says,
I didn't see or I never met anybody
who lived a better life than Ibn Utaim
even though things were so difficult for him.
And he didn't have luxury at all.
And he used to be thrown into prison.
He used to be threatened.
He used to be kicked out of his
own city.
I never saw anybody who was living a
better life
and who had more insirah as sadr.
How do you guys say insirah as sadr?
Contentment in his heart maybe.
Then he goes on to
say,
These people, my brothers and my sisters, that
which they are known for
is that they are thankful to the one
who is most deserving to be thanked.
In that which He blesses them with.
Bilqalb, with the heart.
Ask yourself my brothers and my sisters, when
is the last time I thanked Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala?
So how do you thank Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala bilqalb?
By actually recognizing the blessing of Allah as
the wajal upon us.
And not being like those who deny these
blessings,
They recognize the blessings of Allah but then
they deny it.
They think that they have reached somewhere because
of his own intelligence.
They think that they have reached somewhere with
their own intelligence.
And there's not a blessing my brothers and
my sisters that we have
Sheikh Abdul Azakal Badr, he always used to
say, remember these 2
If it wasn't for Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's
favor upon you
and also his mercy, he would have never
purified any of us.
And also the other statement when Allah azzawalu
said,
let her back to mushaytaanillakalila.
And if it wasn't for Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala,
his favors and also his mercy,
the majority of the people that followed the
shaytan.
I'll give you guys an example. Tomorrow if
the jail comes
I'm not saying that the jail by the
way. I'll give you guys an example. This
great fiasco, this drama that's happening online.
All of these 1,000 of people, they were
cheated in their money, right? Supposedly.
Apparently, from what people are saying. They gave
their money and then later on they ended
up find out finding out that he was,
or he actually left the fort of Isthan
while he was collecting this money. Allahu alaam,
whether he took the money or not, but
this is what the people are saying.
If this is now the case,
this is now the case.
If these people, they fell into this trap,
what's gonna happen tomorrow to Dajjal?
I was saying it's a Dajjal. I'm not
trying to make a comparison
at all,
but people ended up falling into this, and
they were swayed with them hard earned money.
That went somewhere.
Whether he took it or whether it was
taken by the charity commission,
people's money was taken just like that.
And they followed this couple while at the
same time, they were going or they were
having an iman crisis.
And people don't know.
Lowny later on, it was established with certainty
that this was the case
because of the witnesses, you know, his wife
and things like that. Point is
kaden.
You see how Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, if
it wasn't for Allah aza wa jal, many
of us could have actually lost our iman.
Really could have.
And that's the
The greatest blessing that Allah azza wa jal
can bless you with, is for you to
have iman
all the way till you die,
that you die upon al Islam.
And also my brothers and my sisters, they
thank Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala through statements.
Allah Azzawajal quotes Suleyman and Dawood saying,
Oh praise to the one who preferred us
over many of his creation.
Are you with me my brothers and my
sisters?
That we thank Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
through our tongues.
And also through our limbs. How do we
thank Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala through our limbs?
When someone thing came to the messenger salaam
alayhi wa sallam that would make him happy,
he would rush to
prostrating to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in thanks.
Sajdhati shukr.
Question you might want to ask us, when
is the last time I don't sajdhati shukr
for all the blessings that came my way?
And it is us that will benefit us
in any case.
Whoever thanks me, I'm going to give him
more. Allah aasawal really doesn't need our thanks.
You are the ones who are in need
of Allah azza wa Jal. He really doesn't
need you.
But the sad reality is,
Those who really think Allah is only a
few in number.
And also my brothers and my sisters,
from the ways of thanking Allah is through
our limbs
is
through our limbs is
to keep
our limbs,
our away from Ma'ase.
And through our limbs we worship Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala. How do we know this? The
messenger salallahu alaihi wa sallam
used to pray so much in the night
that his feet would become swollen.
And Aisha radhiallahu ta'ala, she would say to
me, You Rasul, why are you doing this
to yourself? And Allah has forgiven your past
and your future sins.
What would he say?
Shall I not be a thankful slave? That
shows us what? That a person,
he thanks Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, he shows
his gratitude in his Ibadah.
And the opposite applies as
well. By thanking Allah Azza wa'b, by keeping
these blessings away from it.
So whenever
Allah aza wa jal gives you something, you
thank him.
And also this is very very important.
Also, some times when something is taken away
from you, thank Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
And perhaps this thing that was taken away
from you my brothers and my sisters that
seem to you from the apparent that it
say, Ni'amah. Allah azza wa ji is actually
protecting you from a bigger evil that may
have come your way.
And sometimes we don't see this.
We only see it later on.
Brother, he goes for a divorce,
or a miscarriage happens.
Let me mention the example of the miscarriage.
Because you know sometimes my brothers and my
sisters,
if a divorce takes
place and there's kids in the equation,
one might go through a lot of difficulty
and hardship.
Living in this country also, the UK,
it always isn't the best when it comes
to the brother or the guy in the
equation.
She wanted to kinda like take custody. She
gets all the rights in most cases.
You go through a miscarriage even though you've
been trying so hard to have a child.
Later on, Allah aza wa decree that you
go through a divorce.
Can you see my brothers and my sisters?
And a lot of cases where, you know,
kids kids come from broken families,
they don't tend to go
towards a very good direction.
Later on you wanna have a relationship with
your child, it gets even more difficult.
That's just one example from the many things
that happen in our lives that Allah azza
wa'am protects us from, that only later on
we realize the hikmah of Allah azza wa'al
The next characteristic my brothers and my sisters
that was mentioned was
that they have tawakul.
They put their trust in Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala in all of their affairs.
While at the same time they take the
Izbab.
They come with the means
in pleasing the most merciful one.
When individual, my brothers and my sisters, and
this is just one example from the many
examples where a person should
accompany Tawakkul in all of his affairs.
He wants to leave a sin.
He takes all the isbaab.
Because you have to understand my brothers and
Is to put complete trust in Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala and dependence while at the same
time
you take the means
possible.
Okay. You come with the means
in whatever you're trying to do. Like for
example now,
someone has made now the decision to leave
of a sin.
Okay? While at the same time, he takes
the asbaab and keeping himself away from that
sin.
Not just saying,
I'm going to put my trust in Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala, and he just carries on
doing whatever he wants. No.
You move yourself away from that type of
environment maybe.
You even try your utmost best to stop
yourself from thinking about these kind of things
and being around good people that does that.
Being around good people helps you forget a
lot of the bad things you might do
when you are by yourself.
That's why they also say in English, they
have a statement where
being alone,
some of you guys may know, you can
be your biggest shaitan or something.
Or you you can be your devil, you
know, devil's friend. Oh, shame in hada.
Wallahi is very true.
Being by yourself sometimes
with all the afkar that comes to you
can be really destructive.
So point is,
put his tawakkull in Allah azza wa ta'ala
to leave this addictive sin while at the
same
time,
takes the asbaab
by moving away from it.
You put your tawakkull in Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala
that he's going to help you find a
righteous wife or a righteous husband.
And what's that mean? That you sit at
home and wait?
I have the trust in Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala is going to give me money insha
Allahu ta'ala. And
I'm sitting at home.
Now go out, look for the isbaab.
Try and inquire, try to move around and
do something about it.
Guys.
3 different levels.
First one is
to leave of
complaining.
To leave of complaining.
The second one
is being pleased
and satisfied.
And the third one, my brothers and my
sisters is
loving that which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala decrees
for you.
So the first one my brothers and my
sisters is going back.
Leaving of complaining.
K? Leaving of complaining.
This is the level of a
sabar.
And the second one that we mentioned which
was the rida, the second level, rida, satisfaction,
is for the alib to not even be
moved
in that which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has
chosen for him.
We're going into the exam.
I've tried everything possible but Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala chose for me to get a b
even though I desperately wanted an a star.
Do you guys have a stars here?
So only
a. We have a star, a and then
b.
But then he ended up what? Getting a
b even though he desperately wanted an a.
I put my trust in Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala.
When I done my exams, I put all
my effort, halas andaraldi. His heart doesn't become
moved. He doesn't feel that sadness
in his chest.
And this second, of course, has a higher
status than the first.
Then the third one is
3rd one is love.
That Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. That this individual
is in total love.
With that which Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala does
to him.
Whatever he has chosen him,
he has love for that.
These trials and tribulations,
he loves it.
Yeah.
So only a little bit left insha'Allah ta'ala
guys.
They worship Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala with the
belief that he is with them
at all times.
He is present with them.
And through that
they have reached the station of Ihsan.
Because we have al Islam and iman, and
also al Hassan. Right? Why is al Hassan?
And ta'abudallaha?
That you worship Allah subhanahu wa as if
you can see Him.
And if you can't see him, he is
looking at you.
And you won't be able to reach us
my brothers and my sisters, Al Hassan, except
by what?
Tadoruj.
Moving from one stage to the next until
you reach that stage.
And this is only done, my brothers and
my sisters, through muhajaat
al nafs.
Constantly striving against yourself.
Let's put this in a real life scenario.
How many of us actually, like, constantly when
we fall into a sin, we feel sad
about it, and we tell us I'm not
gonna do it again.
And we constantly are what? Striving and working
hard, wrestling with ourselves.
And I've mentioned this many times in the
last couple of days.
If you truly show Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
that you wanna get away from this addiction,
it is wrong to think that Allah is
not going to help you.
He is there to help you.
As opposed to the individual,
when he falls in tarsen, he doesn't really
necessarily care. You guys are going to be
doing actions.
It is lighter to you. It has less
worth
than the hair. Doesn't mean much. Does the
hair, little hair that you have, does it
really mean anything?
And we used to see it as the
the destructive major sins.
Sometimes we do something, we think lightly of
it.
K.
They in the past, my brothers and my
sisters, these little small things, they used to
see it as great major
sins. They would be fighting with themselves.
So this is Hassan my brothers and my
sisters
is that constantly a person,
he's worshiping Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala through the
name
Al Raqib.
That he's constantly watching him.
In every single step that he takes, and
every move that he makes,
He is god conscious of Allah aza wa
jal.
And my brothers and my sisters,
this part is really really important.
K.
You know how terrified we become when it
comes to
our parents.
Maybe finding out something that we are doing
in private.
One time Sheikh Abdul Azaq Al Badri told
us a story about a man
who had a laptop.
He had a laptop.
And he was looking at things he shouldn't
be looking at.
Something came rushing into the door. He broke
his laptop and he dropped it. It was
a cat.
Thinking that someone is about to walk into
his house and he's about to catch him
in what he's doing.
Look how scared we become my brothers and
my sisters when it comes to us
or maybe our parents finding out whatever we're
doing.
My brothers and my sisters,
it is greater
that we meet Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala with
a sin
on your Multiamah
than us being exposed to all of the
public.
People today, they don't wanna be exposed. Right?
And it's so easy to expose somebody.
And everybody finds out.
And that's going to cause you humiliation and
embarrassment in this dunya. Bow allahi that you
meet Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala with that one
sin, ho a'lamuwajib.
And that should really really terrify somebody.
Because all of these people, they won't be
able to benefit beyond your mal qiyamah.
And you have to face who? Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala.
And his anger, and his rage,
and that which you used to do before.
There's 2 types of people, my brothers, and
when it comes to the sin.
First one who committed a sin in private,
and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said to her.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, he's hid his sins,
and he's grateful for that.
And there's a second type of individual.
He fell into these sins, Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala He
hid his sins.
And then he carried on doing it.
Because he got away with it the first
time,
he thought let me get away with it
again.
You know my belief, my brothers and my
sisters, and I always say this to the
brothers, those who become exposed online, I do
not believe
that this is the first time at all.
Because from the names of Allah azza wa
jal is what? A sateer.
Allah azza wa jal, he always hides the
sins of others.
And Allah aza wajale is not going to
expose you the first or the second name.
I believe in his name.
But you know my brothers and my sisters,
I know a lot of things that happen
sometimes, you know, with things that
might arise on the internet.
A lot of time is not the first
time.
Maybe some people I knew about them years
ago.
They thought they got away with it the
first time, oh, let me get away with
it again.
And he keeps doing that, and Allah aasai
wa Jal, he just keeps accumulating, accumulating, accumulating
this for him. And a one time back,
he gets hit really badly.
Then the poet rhamallahu ta'ala goes on to
say,
They advised the creation.
In order to attain the satisfaction of the
one that they really really love, and that
is Allah azza wa Jal.
With knowledge. Walirshad,
giving them the instructions that they need, directed
them to that which is correct.
Waliksan
and out of good favor by being nice
and kind to them.
They accompanied
the creation
with their bodies.
While their hearts and their souls was roaming
around somewhere very high up.
What is the Sheikh, my brothers and my
sisters, what is he trying to say here?
He's saying from the characteristics of the oliya
is that they are there for the creation.
Helping them in whatever way it may be
possible.
Whether it is through advice,
whether it is them accompanying them with their
bodies, helping them out
whenever they need help.
Do we not hear this all the time?
Brother,
you only call me when you need me.
Where are you for the rest of the
year?
You want me to help you now when
you're never there for me?
Instead my brothers and my sisters, we should
be thanking Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that he
made us
a
means
of being able to engage in this wonderful
Ibadah.
And that is being able to help others.
The messenger sallallahu alaihi wa sallam he said,
The most beloved people to Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala are those who are most beneficial to
others.
And from the most beneficial
or from the most greatest of acts to
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
is happiness that you enter into your brother's
heart.
He's going through some difficulty, you remove that
difficulty from him. The brother is in agony.
He's going through a lot of troubles and
issues.
And you have the ability to remove that
from him.
He has a debt, you remove it from
him.
You help him pay it off.
And the messenger salalaiya wasim said,
He's suffering from hunger.
You help remove that hunger
by feeding him or quenching his thirst. Then
the messian salalaihi was
That
I accompany my brother
for something that he needs is more beloved
to me than me doing iatikaf for a
month in which Masjid.
And the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam is
madina. Are you with me my brothers and
my sisters?
Also the masallahu alaihi wa sallam, sometimes an
lady would grab him by his hand. Sometimes
you say, we are busy. Right?
He's like the president,
really busy. He needs to book people in.
In essence you can't really go and help
these people.
Forget about helping people, can't even sometimes help
our families,
our parents, our moms. Especially in the month
of Ramadan, I was telling a lot of
people.
Our moms have become like what? Or our
female relatives have become like servants in the
house.
We want them to cook hand the samosa
with the jubna inside.
The pokores,
x, y, and
zed. But we don't wanna go help them.
You see? So one time the messian sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam, a woman came to him.
She said she needs x, y, and zed.
He said,
Take me whatever you need to take me.
And he went and helped her,
and then he left her.
This is the man my brothers and my
sisters
who was more busier than anybody who's currently
breathing today,
and he still found time to go and
help others.
Also, my brothers and my sisters,
if you look at
Allah is in the aid of his servant
as long as the servant is in aid
of his brother.
You know my brothers and my sisters, try
this out. Sometimes you're so busy, you're going
through so much headache, agony, distress.
Go and help somebody.
Just opening the door sometimes of a woman
who's carrying,
a lot of shopping.
Take her up to the 2nd or the
3rd floor by helping us, see how you
feel, and see how Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
puts blessing in your time for you.
Sometimes you see an old lady,
she's struggling to cross the road. Go and
help her,
and then see how you feel. Wallah is
one of the things that really softens up
the heart. It really is.
