The 4th
trait, my beloved brothers and sisters, that I
would like to discuss in this series,
or we hope to work towards softening our
hearts, is
sincerity.
Ihris
and Yakuna
hamuka wahida,
try your utmost best
to make your
intentions for only one thing.
That whenever you do any act of worship,
that you do it solely
for Allah Subhana Wa Ta'la.
Ta'ala.
Indeed, this is the pinnacle
of happiness that an individual will retain and
acquire.
And this type of individual who is sincere,
he will be blessed
with a paradise
in this dunya before the Hereafter.
'Abla Jannatil Akhira Wamithin Aeemin Aajid,
and he will experience a bliss,
a sweetness
before the Hereafter.
If you want that to be your case,
then strive hard in being sincere,
always checking your intentions and then rechecking it
again.
Before you do that act of worship,
while you are doing it,
and then asking and question yourself after you
have finished with that act of worship.
Did I do that for the sake of
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala?
2 individuals, Masha'i,
that are very, very dear and beloved to
my heart.
As Sheikh Saeed Al Kemeli,
who is from the Ulama Scholars of Morocco,
and our beloved Sheikh Salih ibn Abdallah Muhammad
Al Usaymi,
one of the
leading scholars
in Saudi Arabia today.
I both had them mention the exact
same thing.
Not so long ago,
I ran into a Sheikh Saeed Al Kamali,
I think it was 2, 3 days before
I left
Al Madinah.
And SubhanAllah my beloved brothers and sisters, if
there was one person that I wanted to
meet
for the 5 and a half years that
I was in Al Madina, it was our
Sheikh
Saeed Al Kamali.
May Allah preserve
him, someone
that I would listen a lot to
on YouTube,
never had
the pleasure to meet him
previously.
So subhanAllah, our brother Salab Duahed, he asked
me to do something,
to go to one of the hotels,
and perhaps maybe because
I accepted that request
to help him out,
Allah
granted me something that I really, really wanted.
And I'm mentioning this
so we can maybe, inshallah,
take a lesson
from,
because he told me that he asked a
number of people, but they all said no.
So SubhanAllah,
the period before I left,
I would always exit
from one side of the Haram, which was
different to where I met Him.
When I went to
fulfil
the request of our beloved brother Salab Lahad,
I exited from Baib ul Hijra,
which is the door that leads you to
the other door that one enters to give
Salaam to the Prophet
And as I'm exiting from Baib ul Hijra,
I see the Sheikh
with a number of other people, and from
far I could see that it was him.
So Alhamdulillah,
I went to him, I embraced the Sheikh,
kissed the Sheikh,
and nobody was asking him questions, so I
thought, this is a wonderful opportunity to ask
the Sheikh.'
I asked the Sheikh this question:
What are some
secretive
acts that an individual can do that just
remains between him and Allah SWT?
And of
course, my agenda behind this is to find
out what the Sheikh does,
right, so we can benefit from it.
The Sheikh said, if I was to tell
you
these secretive
acts of worship that you are asking about,
then there wouldn't be any more secrets
to just keep between
myself and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
So I said to the Sheikh,
'I just want you to give me a
general answer, not specifically what you
might do.'
So the Sheikh says there isn't anything 'az
more honourable than one being sincere
in the things that he thinks that he
is sincere in.
Look how profound that is.
Look how profound that is. And it's surprising
that Allah has given him acceptance on the
face of this Earth.
Likewise, Sheikh Salibna Abdullah Hamdulillah Hussaini,
who has gatherings like no other,
when he comes to Al Madina,
the numbers
that sit in front of Him
are like no other, perhaps maybe in the
whole Gulf area.
If you look at all of the Gulf
countries,
I don't think there's a gathering bigger than
the gatherings of Sheikh Salim Adilai Muhammad Hussaini.
I heard them mention the exact
same thing,
and those other things that I discussed with
the Sheikh,
but the point is, and what is relevant
here
is
sincerity,
is what is going to
make him beloved to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
and cause you to rise
in the eyes of the people.
He says that if you don't
taste a sweetness
after having done an act of worship?
I'll say that again.
He talks about the sweetness that one feels
or tastes
after doing a righteous act. He says,
When doing an act of worship,
and after having completed it, if you don't
feel a sweetness in your heart,
one shirahan
and some sort of peace,
and suspect that act that you engaged in.
Indeed Allah Subhana Wa Ta'la
is Shakur.
When one
does something for the sake of Allah Subhana
Wa Ta'la,
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will recompensate him.
He will reward him for that, in the
dunya before the Hereafter.
He says,
it is a Master Allah Azzawajal
rewards that individual in this Dunya
with
a sweetness that he tastes
in his heart.
Waqawat ins Sharahim.
And he will feel this strong sense of
peace in his heart.
It will be his utter joy.
And if he doesn't
taste that sweetness
and feel that peace in his heart,
And perhaps
that act of worship that he done
has become affected with lack of sincerity.
And then look what Imran
Aym mentions, he says,
It is the way of Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala,
in how
he deals with his servants, the Sunnah of
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, that doesn't change,
that he clothes
the one who is sincere
with a type of Mahaba,
where the people will be in awe of
him.
Wan Noor and Allah Azzawajal
will adorn him with his lights.
And Allah Azzawajal
will place
love in the hearts of the people for
him.
And you will see that the hearts of
the people will come rushing towards him.
And that is in accordance to how sincere
he is and how is pure how pure
his intentions are.
And how he is in his relationship with
his Lord. And then my beloved brothers and
sisters, Ibn Al Qayim begins to speak about
the one who is not sincere, the one
who shows off.
He says,
The one who shows off
and the one who tries to deceive the
people
by maybe being someone who
makes certain things apparent, but the reality is
other than what meets the eye.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will clothe him
with the clothing of Al Muqt.
Al Mahana, humiliation.
And this will be extremely apparent because
the people will have a sort of hatred
in their hearts towards him.
That which He is most deserving of.
The one who is sincere, the people will
be in awe of him
and they will have love in their hearts
towards him.
When Il Ahari Al Maktou Al Bagda, as
for the other,
he will be despised
and hated.
SubhanAllah.
A very profound statement that I came across
is a statement of Sulaiman ibn Dawud Al
Hashimi,
and it's something that I always remind myself
with.
Al Imam Shafi'i Rahmatullahahi Alaihi, he said about
Sulaiman Midawud Al Hashimi.
It's a name that doesn't ring a bell.
But if I was to ask you about
Alima Muhammad, everybody knows him.
He said:
I didn't see anyone who
is more intelligent
than these two individuals.
Soleiman ibn Dawud Al Hashmi and also
Al Imam Ahmed.
He put
Sulaiman Boud in the same bracket as Al
Imam Ahmed
SubhanAllah, mention him alongside this great Imam
that does not need an introduction.
And also Imam Ahmed Alhamdulillai said about him:
He is suitable to become the Khalifa of
the Muslims.
SubhanAllah, what did
he say? Perhaps when narrating a Hadith,
I have a particular intention.
Imagine now my brothers and my sisters, we
have a long Hadith like the Hadith of
Jibril.
And he start with salaam.
It's a pretty long one, right?
Perhaps when he narrates
the Hadith in the beginning, he has a
pure intention.
He is sincere that he is doing this
for Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's
sake.
But as he gets to
maybe the 5th or the 6th line, as
he is reading the Hadith,
his intention begins to change.
And the most relatable example that I could
give is when somebody is conducting a lesson,
there might only be 4 or 5 people
attending at the
beginning. And then, SubhanAllah, as the lesson goes
on,
more people
walk in,
And the Shaytan may try to trap this
teacher
by encouraging him now to
impress those who have walked in.
He may be a person of
significance,
and you now begin to quote a Hadith
from the top of your head or you
begin to say things from your memory,
that would maybe normally be extremely difficult for
others,
which
pollutes your intentions and your sincerity.
And then Soleiman Dawud Al Hashimi, he says:
Perhaps one Hadith requires multiple intentions.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala give us a
Tawfeeq
to be of this kind.
Assalamu Alaikum
We at the Knowledge College have managed to
revolutionize
the way Islamic Studies is taught in the
West Alhamdulillah
You see before the Knowledge College, you'd have
to find a teacher which is a hard
enough task as it is and if you
found that teacher,
you'd have to hope that he would actually
finish the book that he was teaching
which again was not very likely
But now Alhamdulillah you can study and seek
knowledge from the comfort of your own home
and you're not just watching videos
that have been pre recorded but you're actually
being taught live where you can actually engage
with your teachers
and with your fellow students in the communities
that we've built for you guys online.
