The month of Ramadan kicks in, we strive
our utmost best.
This is an opportunity for us to be
able to get closer to Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala.
Ramadan is a lifeline that Allah
throws
us to give us the opportunity to
draw near to him.
What normally tends to happen after a month
of Ramadan, the iman drops.
We might end up falling back into
our previous
bad ways,
then from the rahmah of Allah
is that he throws us another lifeline.
Right? And this without a shadow of a
doubt are these
first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah
Ibn Abbas radiAllahu ta'ala Anhuma
He told us
that in 2 places,
like when Allah says,
Remember Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
in these specific set days,
that is mentioned in Surat Al Baqarah.
Also Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala when he swore
by the 10, Abdullah
ibn Abbas
he mentioned that
these are the 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.
The 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.
The greatest
days on the face of this Earth
The greatest days to be alive brothers and
sisters
It is what these
10
days
What is my evidence for it? Is it
even better than the days of Ramadan? Na'am
It is
And that is because the messenger salaam alayhi
wasalam
said
There are no days, when an individual does
righteous deeds that are more beloved to Allah
Azzawajal.
Than these 10.
For those who have studied the Arabic language
and also there's
a principle.
Right? When you find that indefinite
that has been preceded by negation
then it indicates generality. You Ani there is
no day
that is greater than these days.
So the Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam he was
asked what al Jihad if he Sabila even
going out for Jihad?
That says said, no.
Except. 1 went with his wealth
and with his nafs, with his soul and
then he didn't come back. You and he
died as a martyr
Right?
So doing righteous these brothers and sisters in
these 10 are without a shadow of a
doubt something that
will give you
high quantities
of rewards
on your scale of good deeds that we
shouldn't
really waste and take lightly.
Right?
That's something that I really wanted to share
brothers
and
sisters.
I'm sure most of us had the intention
to go for Hajj.
I really really wanted to go this year
we
have our own Hajj company where we take
people normally every year However because of the
climate
the last 2 years it was extremely extremely
painful
Allah When you're used to doing something and
then it's taken away from you It can
be more difficult to deal
with It can be so much more difficult
to deal with
So we're all getting excited inshallah
this will be the year only for it
to be
taken away from us once again
This advice brothers and sisters is a very
heartfelt one by Ibn Rajiv Rahmatullahi alaihi and
I want to really just share it to
everyone.
He says,
He says for those who are not able
to stop at Arafah. Brothers and sisters,
the day of Arafah
for a Hajj
is a pillar from the pillars of the
Hajj. If you don't go to Arafah,
as a Hajji,
your
Hajj is not valid. The Messenger even
said
The Hajj itself is Arafah.
You miss that, you can wave goodbye to
your Hajj.
Right? And even for a non Hajji, if
we fast on the day of Arafa,
What is the reward that we get?
As the messenger said,
1 year before and 1 year after, right?
Of expiation for us since Allahu Akbar
So he says whoever was unable to stand
because when we go to Arafah, we stay
there.
Crying out to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and
begging him for forgiveness.
It is the best day of the dunya.
Says whoever wasn't able to go there,
then let him stop at the limits that
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has set for him.
Remember brothers and sisters, we don't only worship
Allah as the wajal
in the month of Ramadan
or in the period of Hajjlah.
The same lord that we
were worshiping in these seasonal periods, right? It's
the same lord that
still lives.
This is mentioned in Sahil Bukhari. Abu Bakr
radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu
stood on the mimbar after the messenger, sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam.
Send your salutations upon him brothers and sisters.
Right? When he passed away,
the Sahaba, they couldn't believe it.
And this really really upset Abu Bakr radiAllahu
ta'ala Anhu.
He went on the mimbar
and he said these very well known,
profound statements.
Or he said
Whoever used to worship Muhammad Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam
Then indeed
our beloved Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam has departed
from this world
But whoever used to worship Allah
Allah Azzawajal
lives forever and he doesn't die
Right? This is an attribute that is what's
specific to Allah Azzawajal
and no prophet.
So the same lord that we worship in
these times brothers and sisters,
is the same lord that we should still
be worshiping, if we didn't have the opportunity
to go for Hajj.
These times that are thrown our way brothers
and sisters, it is there
to discipline us.
The way I look at Ramadan and also
these 10 days is like a boot camp.
What happens when individual goes to a boot
camp? He trains himself to refrain from certain
things. Right?
And he introduces new habits into his life,
which keeps him disciplined.
This without a shadow of a doubt is
another opportunity.
Because sinning as Ibn Taym Rahmatullah
mentions, in a time that is so
virtuous
or at a place
that is so so virtuous like Mecca and
Medina is not like any other time or
place this is why our in
Madinah
they would always advise the students to be
extra careful.
Right? And what they do when they are
in Al Medina
likewise when they are in Makkah.
Even we have students that sometimes become addicted
to adud content
that I would sometimes
counsel over there
So
the they would be giving these heartfelt advices.
Right? So he teaches us to refrain.
So maybe inshallah after these 10 days
we continue
whatever we started.
And then he also says,
Whoever was unable to sleep in Musdalifa, after
we leave Arafah brothers and sisters, we go
and spend the night in Al Musdalifa.
The rich and the poor, everyone looks the
same. There is no special treatment.
That night you are spending on the floor.
And with your sleeping bag that you bought
in Makkah.
Even if your package was £10,000
or £15,000
Musdalifa, everyone is the same
on the floor.
Right?
He says, whoever was unable to spend the
night in Muzdalifa,
Then let him spend the night in obedience
to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
to come close
and attain nearness to him. Because Allah drew
us close.
Sir Adam was from the great Tabiais of
the past.
He would say
don't switch off the lights at night on
these
10 nights.
He would really go out his way
to the extent where he wouldn't be able
to do anything more, until he became incapable
of worshipping Allah.
Allah.
So he's saying make sure you spend the
night
for the sake of Allah
in obedience,
Refraining from filth and evil if you were
someone who used to engage in that. At
least for these 10 days
try to
change it.
And then he says
Whoever was unable to go to Arja'al Khayf,
we have a Masjid
in Minna called Masjid Al Khayf.
They say
a lot of the prophets they prayed there.
Right?
You would be spending a lot of time
in Mina
The where you go and what? Stone
The 3 stones, right?
Whoever wasn't able to go there, then let
this individual
spend his days
with hope and raja hoping for the pleasure
of Allah
reward.
And also fearful that it won't be accepted
from him. Because we worship Allah between what?
Khuf and Raja. Whenever we do a good
deed
we don't become deluded.
Halas, I'm going to Aljannah.
One may think to himself okay. I done
all of these good deeds my iman is
in my heart when he's advised to refrain
from Haram
or don't judge me.
So just advising you to stay away from
that which you are doing.
Right?
Because the way we worship Allah is hoping
that it is accepted from us while at
the same time we are fearful. That it
will be
thrown back in our face because of Ikhlas,
sincerity.
Right? And sadaad missing from it.
And then he says,
Whoever wasn't able to slaughter at because we
slaughter, right, when you go for Hajj
Then let him slaughter his desires,
so that it can help him reach his
objectives.
Step on it. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala comes
before my desires and my whims.
Don't look at the nature of the sin
or how small it is.
Look at who you are disobeying
and the greatness of Allah
when
carrying out
evil deeds.
And to conclude,
he says,
Whoever was unable
to visit the house of Allah, the Kaaba.
Let that individual
go towards the lord of this Kaaba. That's
Allah
Indeed,
Indeed Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is closer to
him than his jugular vein.
This my brothers and my sister is an
advice that I wanted to share to everyone
here,
who was probably intending to go for Hajj,
but
we weren't chosen maybe because of our sins,
maybe because of something that we done.
Right? So we should ask Allah
We know that it's an invitation from Allah
Right? A specific invitation as the messenger Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam said,
The one who goes for Hajj, and the
one who goes for Umrah, and the one
who goes for Jihad
They are the guests of Allah
He invited them and they accepted the invitation.
They asked and Allah gave them whatever they
wanted, accepted the duas. May Allah make us
from amongst them. Next Hajj,
Amin.
I hope
I get out of the misery life
after
a sense of Khutbah.
Brothers and sisters, this is actually
the reality on the ground. Wallahi really really
is
And excuse me for having to address it
in this way,
but it's really really troublesome.
It's just from a brother, hoping to enlighten,
and to empower the older community,
who may not necessarily be up to date
with
what is happening on the ground, which is
extremely extremely
heartbreaking.
