Abu Taymiyyah – Can I Fast 6 Days of Shawaal when I Still Have Ramadhan Fasts to Make Up

Okay. I get your question. Basically, he wants

to do the 6 days of Shaban. Right?

Shaw what? And he's missed some days.

So the Prophet is asking if someone has

a couple of days still remaining

from the month of Ramadan, maybe was sick,

maybe was travelling, maybe a woman she was

on a menses,

And she also wanted the reward of, when

the messenger salallahu alaihi wa siam said,

Whoever fasted the month of Ramadan and also

then followed up with 6 days of Shawwal,

he gets the reward of fasting the whole

year. How does he go about this?

You have to tell my brothers and my

sisters, the mrsallallahu alaihi wa sallam he said,

Whoever fasted Ramadan,

and if you still got days remaining, you

haven't completed Ramadan.

So that reward you're not going to get

it.

And then,

then he followed the up with 6 days

of Shawwal.

This person is the one that's going to

get the reward of fasting the whole year.

So you make up

them days that you missed in a month

of Ramadan in a Shawwal,

in Shawwal,

and then

you fasted 6 days of Shawwal. And it

doesn't have to be one after the other,

you can do it any days of Shawwal.

Because the messalayah is left unrestricted.

A from the days of Shawwal.
