AI: Summary ©
In the previous lesson,
we took some affairs related to the tawhid
of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And likewise, some issues related to the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam,
And we discussed
and mentioned something that was very, very important,
which is that there's no prophet, no mess
or a messenger
after the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam,
and we clarified some of the shubahad,
some of the doubts which some people bring
to say that there's a person called Ahmed
or there's a messenger called Ahmed coming after
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
Can someone clarify
or mention
how to
or what the correct view of this issue
is? Some people they use an eye in
the Quran
where Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala calls
that he gives glad tidings that there's a
messenger called Ahmed coming after the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam.
Now the hadith which is in the prophet
said, there's no prophet after me and also
no messenger which is coming after me. And,
likewise, the intended purpose from the aya, which
is in Surat Al Hashar or Surat Al
Saf, sorry,
is the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. He's
the one that is intended Because why does
a hadith where the prophet salallahu alaihi wa
sallam he said,
And in our narration,
In the hadith, he mentions that he has
names.
And from his name is Ahmed, and from
his name is Muhammad, from his name is
Agha Sheb, etcetera.
Okay? And this is some of the doubts
that circulate some of the of our communities
in these days where you find people, they're
trying to recruit them to
their particular ideology, which is to believe that
there's a messenger after the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam called Ahmed,
which is absolutely fatal, false, and has absolutely
no basis
in the religion.
Okay.
And also, one of the prophets they asked,
the meaning of
Muhammad
regarding the aya.
In regards to your opinion
for with any of the ayat of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala
could be
something which could lead to destruction. Why? Because
speaking of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala without knowledge
is not something that is suitable for any
of us to do. The prophet Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala said in the Quran,
Do not follow that which you do not
have knowledge about. And, likewise, it says in
the Quran,
Basically, from the summarization of the meaning of
the eye is that,
it is a part of
like Ib Nakhim, he says regarding the eye
of the this eye that I just mentioned,
that speaking of out of Allah
without knowledge
could go under the or under the issue
of falling into shirk. So it's something very,
very dangerous that we say about the ayat
without having knowledge,
except if we have a hadith or ayat
translating
some of the ayats.
And likewise, ibn Abbas, he mentioned that whoever
says about the Quran with his opinion, then
let this person book his
seat in the hellfire.
So if something very dangerous, we should always
try to
go back to the tafasir
and go back to the proofs regarding any
ayah. This is why I didn't want to
speak without knowledge
or speak about an ayah of Allah
without having any basis of what I'm saying.
If you go back to the tafsir of
Ibn Kathir,
Rahmatullah,
you find that he says,
one of the or the reason why Allah
brought down this aya is that
prophet has adopted
a son.
His name is Zaid.
Okay? And, people used to say to this
adopted son of the prophet, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
Zaid ibn Muhammad.
So when this ayah came down,
it stopped and likewise prohibited the people from
calling Muhammad Sallallahu, calling this, his adopted son,
Zayd bin Mohammed.
And likewise, all of the children of the
prophet
they had passed
away except for Fatima before he died.
For example, if Khadija had, 3 sons,
their names of
and another
name that begins with I cannot remember at
the moment.
No. Ibrahim was from another wife. Yeah. Yeah.
And even Ibrahim, all of them, they died
before the prophet
had passed away.
Okay? So the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
after his death, he did not have any
children. His only child was
Fatima, which was married to Ali Radiallahu
Anhu.
Okay.
Inshallah, we shall move on from what we,
was taking last week.
We reach number 7.
When it is said to you, what is
the meaning of La ilaha illallah?
This is the question that we have reached
now. What is the meaning of?
Okay. This is something very, very important, Yakhuan.
Many of the people, they
have or it has become very very common
upon the tongues of the people saying at
the same time not acting upon
what actually means. So we shall try to
explain to the best of our ability and
likewise mention the shurut, the conditions
of this great kalimah.
Like the Baba, he said, the meaning
of it means there is no deity that
has the right to be worshipped except Allah
There is no deity that has the right
to be worshipped except Allah
We understand from this
kalima
or this definition of
that there's no one
has the right to be worshipped
and that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will haqq,
that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the truth.
Whether this person is a person, a human,
a animal, or anything else, or whether it's
a creation, any of the creation, no one
has the right to be worshipped except Allah
in truth.
And likewise, Allah says in the Quran,
That is because Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is
the truth. If you just look around yourselves
and look at the creation, it would be
very hard to think that all this creation
would come about
if what? If there was no creator.
Some people they try to say, al Haydah,
all everything came about with the Big Bang.
Okay. With the Big Bang, which is absolutely
falsehood.
Who created the Big Bang? Did it just
come along by itself?
This is the question that
they should ask themselves.
Even something that explodes or something that happens
normally takes
someone to do it, and rather the creator
of this was Allah
Some of the conditions, and insha'Allah we try
to mention it now,
there's 8 conditions of
and they're very, very important,
and a person needs to know this as
well.
Needs to know these
meanings
on these conditions of La ilaha illallah.
The first condition,
and every condition has proof. Likewise, we agreed
at the start of
the lesson or before we started the book,
everything we study, it has to be based
upon proof.
If we don't base it upon proof, Allah,
then it's gonna become chaos. Everyone's gonna say
whatever they want. People are gonna innovate.
People are gonna chuck new things into their
religion, and it's gonna become havoc. And likewise,
going to become like the religion of the
Christians
where everyone comes along every time he wants
or this,
preacher comes, he adds this to religion or
this tells this person this is correct, etcetera.
And when you go back to the Bible,
you find it has been innovated and likewise
added,
and it's not from it.
The first condition
that is from the condition of La ilaha
illallah is Al Alm, knowledge.
Knowing what
means.
Knowing what means.
Allah says in the Quran,
know
that there is no deity that has the
right to be worshipped except Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala.
No.
How do you know the meaning of
except by studying and knowing what it means?
If a person if you tell a person
now he says
and hasn't got a clue of why it's
this caliphah is talking about,
how is he going to act upon
or how is he going to know what
to do with
so that does not enter him into Islam
you find some people that
I've seen
like in Lester they go up to random
people they say La Illa Illa Allah
say La Illa Illa Allah Khilas he doesn't
know why he's talking to nobody, he doesn't
know what he means and then he's getting
excited, he's becoming happy why he's entered a
person into Islam.
And the person doesn't know he's just saying
imagine I come up to you now, I
say to you, say this,
I speak gibberish to you, I speak, in
Chinese to you, Mandarin.
Do I know the meaning of this word?
If I say it does have any significance
to me, the answer is no. I need
to know the meaning, and he's going around
telling people I've got full on, ten people
into my religion today,
extra
a long time.
Person needs to know the meaning of This
is the difference between many people in this
time and also the people of Horesh.
The people of Quraysh they knew the meaning
that's why they never accepted
Islam
when he was said to them
when he was said to them say
they would become arrogant,
and they would reply by saying
and shall we make all the gods 1?
This is something that is strange
they knew the meaning of that's why they
never accepted
it they knew they say
they have to get rid of all the
gods
Because this kalima
or this sentence
absolutely destroys
everything that you worship besides
Allah
and you find people here everyone just says
it
some people they say the same time they
go and call on to other people
or they call on to other gods
or you find people they make dua to
Abdul Khadar Jelani
they say Abdul Khadar Jelani was a righteous
person
okay but after he died you find people
they went to his grave, they asked him
for things, etcetera.
We should have been specific for Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
And likewise, other people, righteous people that have
died.
We have no right to go to their
graves and call on to other than Allah.
Whether they were righteous or not
whether it is a an angel or a
sent messenger
so it's very very important that we know
the meaning of La Illa Illa.
Know the meaning of La Illa Illa.
If we was to say everyone that says
La Illa Illa, Khallasi enters into the religion,
that means we would enter even the.
The hypocrites, they would come inside the religion,
and likewise those that say
then after that they go to people's graves,
they call on to other than Allah. That
means everyone would, you know, people like that
would enter into religion.
And the Munafakir, they said but
the thing is, they never entered into Islam.
Why?
Because they had all the things that we
mentioned today inshallah,
And they,
and them things they fell into eliminated
what the La ilaha illallah is based upon.
And likewise, the prophet
said,
narrated by Muslim,
who dies and he knows
the meaning of
this person enters into the
Jannah, enters into paradise.
So he added to it that if this
person he knows the meaning of and dies
upon it,
basically, man, he acts upon it. He doesn't
call to Abu Than Allah. He doesn't associate
partners of Allah
etcetera.
Then this person enters into jannah. There's no
more hadith.
Whoever's last statement is
will enter into jannah, but we have to
bring the proofs together and likewise act upon
all of the angles.
So this is why the ulama they say
that
is a very important condition of
Is that clear, hon?
Yeah?
So what's the first condition?
And the next condition
is
Al Yaqeen,
which is the meaning of certainty.
They translate in English as certainty.
Being certain
of the oneness of Allah
For example, not having any doubt whether Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is the true Lord,
is Islam the true religion,
Does Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
always with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala another God,
etcetera, like that. And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
says in the Quran,
and the believers are only those that believe
in Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's messenger.
And after that, they don't have any doubt.
They don't have any doubt. Having doubt in
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will eliminate this condition.
Having doubt whether Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is
the true Lord or whether He is the
Lord will eliminate
this condition.
So it's important to have certainty
regarding
Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
Person needs to be
certain,
and he needs to have certainty.
And likewise, the prophet
Okay?
Whoever says
with certainty in his heart, then this person
enters into Jannah.
K? Remember when we just mentioned earlier another
hadith, whoever says that and he knows, then
this person enters into Jannah. And likewise, we
deprive and understand from this hadith that if
a person
has certainty in his in his, in his
heart regarding Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, then this
person also
goes into Jannah. So we have now 2
conditions
that we're deprived from 2 hadith, and likewise
2 Ayyat,
explaining to us some of the conditions
of Allah, of Abdullah
Type the 3rd condition,
sincerity.
Having sincerity
in your worship.
Okay?
Not saying
out of what? Showing off.
Or worshiping other than Allah
Okay? When a person says
he has to act upon it. He has
to do it solely for Allah
And likewise in his worship,
he has to be solely
for
Allah Likewise, Allah
says,
You haven't been ordered to worship Allah
except with sincerity
in your religion.
Okay?
And Allah says also
The same meaning, Having sincerity when worshiping
or having sincerity.
And likewise, the thing that
eliminates and likewise negates
the sincerity is what?
Associating partners of Allah.
And shirk is 2 types. It will come
to us after a few,
a few chapters,
where we'll talk about more about the ahsam,
the categories of shirk.
Okay? But this shirk, the 2 types of
shirk which is showing off and also the
major shirk has any,
diverting any sort of worship to Abhin Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will nullify
this condition. Okay? But inshallah, we'll leave it
to
when we come to question number 10,
and we just carry on now explaining
the conditions of
The 4th condition, which is al Mahaba,
Love.
Al Mahaba which is love.
Okay.
When worshiping Allah
we have to
love Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala more than
anything else.
This is a type of worship,
loving and hating,
and we will come to the definition of
worship later on in the book. But for
now, just know that love is a part
of worship.
Okay?
Love is part of worship. We worship Allah
with love, and likewise with fear. But inshallah,
we'll come explain come and explain that a
bit more later.
Okay.
The reason
why this is a condition from the condition
of La ilaha illallah,
is that when we worship Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala, we have to make specific love for
Allah
We cannot love the creation.
Okay? We cannot love the creation
or anything
more than Allah
And this could fall into shirk, and I'll
mention the aya as well, where Allah says,
Okay? And that's from the people, that's what
Allah
says. That's from the people
who
make deities
besides Allah
They love them
like they love Allah
and Allah has called that
shirk.
Allah has mentioned that in the Quran to
be a form of shirk.
Okay?
And that's from the people who make deities
besides Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, they love them
like they love Allah.
Okay? What is upon us to do is,
we have to love Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
more than anything.
We love Allah more than
the prophet
and likewise the rest of the creation.
But the love of Allah is not the
same, or is not like the love of
the prophet
Okay?
And, likewise, we don't love the creation like
we love the prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam.
There's levels.
Okay? Is that clear?
And likewise, the prophet
he said in a hadith, which is narrated
by Bukhar al Muslim, on the authority of
Anas.
3 things that if a person was to
be in it, he would find
the sweetness of iman.
Okay?
And then he mentioned one of them which
was
Okay? That you love Allah
or that Allah
his messenger are more beloved to you than
anything else.
So this is a part of iman.
Al iman. This is from the past of
iman, that we love Allah
and the prophet
not like anyone else.
Is that clear?
Okay.
And when we say we love Allah or
we love the prophet
it's not just It's
not like
we say it from the tongue
and we don't act upon it. A lot
of people came in mostly, anyone that you're
asking me will say to you this answer,
but we have to put
actions into
process.
When we love Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
and when we love the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam, we have to do what the prophet
and Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, have told us
to.
When these things come to us, what do
we have to do? We have to act
upon it. This is true love
that we have for Allah,
and this is true love that we have
for the messenger, salallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Allah says in the Quran,
Quran, and say to them, oh, Muhammad,
if you are from those that love Allah,
then follow me.
The ulama have called this Ayah,
the Ayah or the verse of examination, which
examines the people if they are true lovers
of Allah
If they are from those that truly love
Allah, they would do what Allah has mentioned
in the Quran, which is to follow the
Prophet
and to follow him perfectly,
and not to add innovative affairs to the
religion.
Okay. The 5th condition,
which is a sittq,
truthfulness.
Truthfulness.
Okay? This is from the things that
wasn't found within the Munafiqayb.
When they used to say La ilaha illallah,
they said it out of what?
Out of showing and they went truthfully
or they didn't have truthfulness in their odds.
They used to do it to show off
to the people. That's why they were hypocrites.
Okay. And likewise, Allah has mentioned this in
the Quran.
They say with their tongues that which is
not in their hearts.
Okay? So just saying it to impress the
people and not actually believe in it,
okay? This is a form of nifa,
a form of nifa.
Okay.
Then the 6th one, which is.
Which
means to submit.
Submittance.
Okay? And the thing that,
goes against it or
eliminates this
is rejection,
is rejection.
When Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says something or
when the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says
something, what do we have to do? We
have to submit to it
with full submitance.
Not have any doubt relating
to the authenticity of this
issue that Allah
has declared on this matter.
And this is the way of the believers,
those that true, have true iman in their
hearts.
Allah has mentioned this many many times in
the Quran.
It's only from the statements of the believers
that when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is messenger,
they decree something, then they say
then they say we believe and we
hear and obey.
We hear and obey.
They are from those that are successful.
Just as Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, he mentions
this
And in another ayah, he says,
they submit to it with full submittance.
So this is something very important that when
we hear the statement of Allah or his
messenger that we submit to it, and we
do not reject it.
And rejecting or negating the ayat of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala nullifies
a person's Islam.
For example, when Allah says in Surat An
Nur,
this amount or says that Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala has forgiven
or freed Aisha,
freed her from what she has been accused
with,
Because of the prophet of Allah alaihi wa
sams time,
there were some people who accused
Aisha
for
for what?
For being a fornicator.
That she fornicated with
this Fulan and Fulan.
This person and that, which was an absolute
lie.
Okay? This was an absolute lie, so Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala sent down Ayat
freeing
her from this
accusation.
Okay?
And at this time, you still find people
who accuse her.
You still find people who accuse Aisha
for being a fornicator.
And they try
to negate these ayaat in Surat al Nur.
They try to reject it, and this goes
under what we just said.
Okay, and this is not submitting to what
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, and this is clear
cut kufr,
infidelity,
if I come along now and say this
page in this Quran is what?
It's not correct
or it's false,
then I go under Allah
nor do we find people rejecting our ayaat
or negating it except that they are from
those that are disbelievers
Okay?
And likewise
The is the point is that Allah
has declared them to be disbelievers.
Those that reject
or negate any of the verses of Allah
And likewise,
the Sahabi jaleel,
the great Sahabi,
he said,
Whoever negates just the haraf,
a letter from the Quran, then this person
has disbelieved.
Okay?
I hope they explain, inshallah,
this, condition,
which means submittance.
Okay.
Then the 7th one, which is,
acceptance.
Okay?
We have to accept
what Allah
has told us.
We have to accept why Allah
and not be arrogant.
Just like what Quraysh done.
When they were told something, they were what?
Arrogant. They didn't accept it.
They did not accept this,
so they never enter entered into an Islam.
Okay. And the last one is disbelieving
in anything
worship besides Allah
Disbelieving in anything,
likewise rejecting anything that is worshiped.
Allah says
in
the
Quran Whoever believes or whoever disbelieves in the
false deities
believes in Allah
and this person
has grabbed onto the highest part of iman.
Okay.
And it's not sufficient for us just to
say we are Muslims and at the same
time not reject the false beliefs.
You find some people who when they believe
in Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, they try to
bring their religions closer.
Okay? They try to correct some of the
other religions.
This goes under this
Asal.
In disbelieving in the false deities of Allah,
besides Allah
Rather, we have to free ourselves from it,
and likewise hate it. This is what Ibrahim
did. Allah has quoted him in the Quran
saying that he is the best example.
You had the great example or perfect example.
You had the perfect example in Ibrahim
I am free from you and what you
worship besides Allah
So this is something very important
that we not only believe in Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala, but we have to add to
it
rejecting and disbelieving in the other false these
deities besides Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Who can mention
the 8 conditions
without looking at the book? I can. Yeah.
M.
Yeah.
Very good.
Anyone else?
Anyone else can mention that?
Yeah. In English.
Even in English.
Yeah. Yeah. Acceptance.
Acceptance.
Truthfulness.
Truthfulness. Yeah.
That's
Submission.
Submission. No.
Oh, is that the better word? Yeah. I
kept on saying submittance.
Submission, ain't it? Submission. Yeah. My English goes
missing sometimes.
Sensitivity. J. Uncertainty. Certainty. And.
Okay. Alright.
So Allah is clear, inshallah, and we all
know what this great kalima, kalima contains
of
and consists of.
Okay.
Type
number 8,
when it is said to you, what is
the meaning of the statement,
Muhammad is the messenger of Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
It means that he's the messenger of Allah
to all of the people
from jinn and mankind.
And the proof is the statement of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And we have not sent you except to
all of
mankind.
And it has been narrated
that he that the prophet
said,
and I have been sent to all of
the creation
transmitted by Muslim,
and it is incumbent
upon all upon all of us to obey
him and believe in him and stay away
from that which he has prohibited,
and the proof is the statement of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Say obey Allah and obey the messenger,
and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala also says,
This is what the most beneficent
Allah had promised, and the messenger spoke the
truth.
And it has been narrated on Abu Hurayrah
that he said, the messenger of Allah, subhanahu
wa ta'ala, said,
that which I have prohibited you from, stay
away from it, and that
which I have ordered you with,
do from it that which you are capable
of doing.
Okay.
We mentioned some issues also last week
regarding the prophet
that he's the final messenger,
Hatam al Nabiin, the seal of the prophets.
Okay? And that he was sent to all
of mankind.
And I think we mentioned this as well
that
to believe that he was only sent to
the Arabs, this is a false belief. Did
we mention that?
We I mentioned in it. Okay.
We have to believe that Allah
sent him to what? To all of mankind.
As for believing that he was only sent
to a certain people, this is incorrect
and goes against many of the verses which
are mentioned in the Quran and likewise the
sunnah.
Okay?
And it's very clear.
Okay.
And the prophet
Allah
has given him rights,
has given him rights
that
he hasn't given anyone else.
From his rights is that we
follow what he has said,
and this is not the right
of all the creation
in cases.
We have to follow the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam in all cases.
As for the Magaluq, when he orders us
to do something,
if it's good,
we might listen to him,
if it's bad, we don't listen to
him, especially if it's going against what the
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said to
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
The Prophet
he
said
no obedience to the creation if it means
disobedience to the Creator.
This is something very very important,
if I'm told now
to go do this, and it goes against
what the prophet has
said or what Allah has done or has
ordered us to, it's upon us to refrain
from it and not do it.
It's upon us to what?
To refrain from it and not do it.
No one has the same position as the
prophet
no one has the same position as the
prophet
and his statement
or whatever he has said takes precedence over
everything
else. Because this person now,
that you're following
or is ordering you to,
disobey the
Prophet He could be saying it out of
desire,
or he could be saying it due to
what?
Interest from the Dunya,
from the affairs of
the world,
or worldly affairs.
So you find some people, they give fitwa,
they give an Islamic verdict based upon
what? In order
to get that portion of the dunya,
and they leave over what the prophet
said.
This is from Alama Tesa'a,
from the signs of the hour.
That person will give a fatwa
out of opinion,
and he will mislead the people and he
will mislead himself,
like it was mentioned in Buhari on the
authority
of Abdullah ibn Amr ibn
Sheikh Khozan Hafidullah
when
he began to
mention his hadith in one of his Muhaddaras
started crying
started
crying.
Because why this has become a reality?
This has become a reality.
You find people that give fatwa, they are
considered to be very
very honorable and big in front of the
eyes of the people.
Little do they know that this fatwa can
mislead all the people.
Look what happened now in the Islamic countries.
People that
were very well known,
they started giving out Fatawah,
Islamic verdict that you can revolt against the
leaders.
Just because of 1 Fatwa,
the Ummah,
the people are still suffering on this very
day.
They revolted against him. What happened?
So much Muslims got killed, so much blood
got shed, until now, more than 2 years
people are still fighting
in the Islamic countries.
People are still getting killed,
and there's absolutely no security and safety.
This is because what?
One fatwa that was given by someone
who makes himself apparent to knowledge
So it's very very important that we know
where we take our knowledge from and who
we take our knowledge from.
And that we base our religion upon proofs
and evidences.
And this hadith that was just mentioned by
the sheikh in the book,
He said that which I have prohibited you
from, stay away from it. And that which
I have ordered you, do it from that
which you are capable of doing. Meaning, do
it to the best of your ability.
This shows how easy our religion is, and
that is not a burden upon anyone.
If something that you cannot do because of
sickness or because of some sort of hardship,
you do it to the best of your
ability.
Like the prophet
has said,
that the prophet has said, you do it
to the best of your ability and this
shows how easy the religion is.
Type number 9.
Inshallah, we try to do number 9 and
likewise number 10.
And I think that's,
enough for today.
When it is said to you, where is
the right of Allah
upon his slaves?
Say the right of Allah upon his slaves
is that they worship him, and they don't
join anything as a partner with him.
And the proof is the hadith
of Mu'adim Najibel.
That the prophet said,
the right of Allah upon his slave
is that they worship
him and that they do not join anything
as partner
with him.
And the right of of the slaves upon
Allah is that he does not punish
whoever does not join anything of the partner
with him.
Okay?
Allah
in this hadith
has made it a right upon himself
that the person
that doesn't
associate partners with him, he gives him Jannah
and he won't punish him.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has made us a
right upon himself due to his kindness,
Note that we have a right upon him.
We cannot say, if Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
doesn't do this, he can't do this, etcetera.
Talk like this.
This is something that Allah
has made,
a right upon himself due to his kindness
and greatness.
And Allah
has a choice to do this. No one
has a right over
him. No one has a right over Allah
And we've mentioned this
many multiple times as well, that Allah subhanahu
has created us for worship. This is our
main goal in hadaf
and that we should not
be busying ourselves from our main goal, which
is to worship Allah
and by this, we can enter into
Jannah.
Type number 10.
When it is said to you, what is
shirk?
Say it is to worship other than Allah
So everything that is a form of worship
of Allah,
directing it to other than Allah is shirk,
and the proof is a statement of Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Worship Allah and don't join anything as a
partner with him.
This is very very important, Ikhwan.
First of all, shirk is 2 categories.
The major shirk and the minor shirk.
The major shirk is what is mentioned here.
So everything that is a form of worship
of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala directing it to
other than Allah.
Any type of worship.
I will mention the definition, Insha'Allah, next week
which is coming on number 13.
Any type of worship, if you direct it
to Abhin Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, it turns
into what?
Shirk.
Okay? Not only salat. If you're prostrate to
someone else,
that makes you leave the fold of Islam.
Not only that. No. Rather, there are all
types of Ibadah,
just like salat, if you was to do
it for someone else,
it would be the same case if a
person was to slaughter to other than Allah.
And likewise, invocate other than Allah.
It would be the same
case
and issue.
Okay? The first one is clear and the
proof are many.
If you look in the Quran, anytime it's
talking about shirk, it's talk mostly talking about
what?
The major one.
Diverting other than
our worship to Abba Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
The second type which is Ria,
the minor shirk.
The minor shirk which means
a ria which means to show off, showing
off.
Taib, where did we get this taksim from?
Splitting it into major and minor, where did
we get it from?
There's a hadith.
This is what some people say to us
now. Where did you all get this from?
You all are making kar of us, or
you all disapprove of us of making new
things into the religion.
But if you look in reality, you find
there's a hadith, clear hadith,
mentioning this issue.
The prophet
said, shall I not inform you of the
minor shirk?
The hadith narrated by Abiduud on the authority
of Mahmoud ibn Abid.
Shall I not inform you of the minor
shirk?
So they said,
what is the minor shirk? He said, ariyah,
showing off,
showing off.
Okay?
This is showing off in Ibadah. Not when
a person is doing a a 101 skills
in a football match.
Showboating.
This is not the intended purpose.
Rather showing off in the Ibadah.
Okay?
And showing off is different types.
From
it, which is from the showing off of
the numuna firkim.
Ibn almajib Rahmatullahi a laihi mentions this in
Jamir al Ulu al Hikam.
His explanation on the 40
hadith of
which was compiled by Imam al Noawi.
Okay? He mentions 3 types.
The first type
which is the showing off of the
Mahab,
real Mahab,
like clear, pure showing off.
Okay?
The Munafiqin,
all the action was based upon what? Showing
off.
They would show off in order for the
people to see them. They're not doing it,
Adam,
or trying to seek the face of Allah
or trying to seek his reward. No.
They're only showing off in order to please
the people,
and all their actions was based upon this.
So when a person now
bases all his actions upon pleasing a people,
then this goes under the category of what?
The Munafiqeen.
Their cases are very very similar.
Allah says in the Quran about them
And when they stand up for prayer, they
stand up in a very lazy way
in order to show off to the people.
Okay? And likewise, Allah says,
Those that show off.
The intended purpose here is the where
all their actions became what?
Based upon showing off.
Okay.
Then you have
the second type,
where some of your actions,
okay, some of your actions, you do it
out of showing off.
This case, your actions will not be accepted
by Allah
The prophet
mentioned in the hadith which was narrated by
Muslim
on the authority of Abu Hurairah.
He said,
Whoever does an action,
and he associates
partners with me in the action I have
left him and his action,
okay, for example now if I'm praying for
Akaat,
Duhr,
2 of them I do is solely for
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
the other 2 my dad walks in,
Okay? My dad walks in,
I pray the best possible
prayer. I start praying the 2 raka'at in
30 minutes.
The first one already went in like 2
minutes, 1 minute for each rakat.
Okay? Because I had no one to show
off to,
or
like that, okay?
The last 2 rakat he does it solely
for this person,
in order to show off to his dad,
to show it,
this case,
Allah
will not accept your prayer,
and he goes under the hadith that I
just mentioned.
Okay?
But if a person wants to pray, for
example, or a person wants to give his
a cut,
Now, he gives
£200.
In the morning, he gives £200,
and he does it solely for Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
Sincerity.
Okay? But then after that, he does and
pays the cat again.
But this time, his friends are with him
in order to impress his friends.
This now falls under the bible of Bria,
and this
money will not be accepted from him, Adi
zakar will not or sadaqa
will not be accepted from him.
Is that clear? And, likewise, this is all
in all affairs.
And in this case, a person will not
is not a munafiq.
We do not claim or declare that this
person is a munafiq.
Okay?
Then you have the 3rd category,
when a person does his actions solely for
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
but sometimes the shaitan comes in. I think
we've all seen this before.
We are praying,
the shaitan tries to put some whispers
whispers whispers to us,
and you get like a feeling in your
heart. You're trying to, you know, impress Fulan.
If a person now
defends himself from this riya
and takes her away, then this will not
have any effect on him.
Okay? And he defends it off, will not
have any effect upon this person,
but if he takes along with him,
this feeling or this riyyah that just entered
upon him,
then
sorry to say that his actions will go
under the second category.
Okay? This is some of the that sheikh
or imam, ibn Rajab, Rahmatullah alaihi mentioned in
Jami Al Ulum Al Hikam.
Whoever wants to
expand further upon this can go back to
the book Jami'al Ulum Al Hikam.
A whole does claim inshallah the types of
shirk,
the major and the minor,
and what the minor actually is.
It's a clear Ikhwan.
Okay?
I think that's enough for today. If anyone
has any questions regarding the lesson that we
took today,
you can you can
major because some of the major scholars also
say that there's only 7. 7. Yeah. I
do not know exactly
who it actually was,
but
both of them is correct. Even the 8th
one has its proofs,
okay,
showing the,
reality of this 8th condition.
You're telling Foran, you have to give your
money,
but when you're doing it, you have to
try and control yourself, you know?
That's like a difference. For example, now when
a person's calling, trying to inform the people,
do this, do that, do this. He's not
necessarily showing off, you know? If he's doing
his dawah to show off, that's different.
Okay. He's trying to encourage the people to
show off, trying to make himself looking for
other people,
then that, showing off, No? Yeah. Conditions.
Just just this Oh, okay. The 8th conditions
was
knowledge, certainty.
Okay? Having
love.
Okay?
The 4th condition,
which is alim kiyad,
certainty,
accept, and then the 5th one,
acceptance.
The 6th one,
truthfulness.
The 7th one,
which is,
what was it again?
Submission.
Submission.
And the 8th one which is,
disbelieving
other than.
Sorry? I think you should say this. Okay.
Which one did we leave off?
Sincerity for Allah.
Okay?
Whether it is
anything.
As long as you're alive and you make
repentance, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, Allah will forgive
your sins.
Because Allah says, say, oh, Muhammad, to those
who have transgressed against themselves,
do not lose hope in the mercy of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Allah forgives
all action, all all sins altogether.
Okay? So whatever
sin that you fall in, you try to
repent to Allah
in the quickest of manners.
And he also says,
and the is only for those
those that do evil
out of ignorance,
then they repent to Allah
quickly.
Okay? So this is very important when a
person falls into any
sin
or does any act of evil, he repents
to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala quickly.
Okay? So this is very essential.
Because you don't know when you're gonna die.
If you're gonna say, Halas, I'm gonna get
I'm gonna repent when I'm 60 years old,
like a lot of people say. Enjoy your
life now, you know.
I'm gonna grow my bed when I'm, or
I'm gonna do this. I'm gonna start praying
when I'm older.
I've
had people tell me this. He goes, why
don't you just, you know,
grow your bed and wear a chamiz when
you're
older?
You know? Longest time.
Yeah. But the Shahad itself is that the.
Yeah. Yeah. Now basically, after Affirm Oliver, basically,
after, the true meaning is there's no deity.
There's no one truly
that has the right to be worshiped. Truly,
you have to add that to it. Because
Allah
Okay.
Like Allah mentioned in the Quran. If I
say, okay, there's no god except god.
Okay. Everyone will say, okay, this is the
god. This one is the you know, but
we have to negate all of the other
gods, and we have to say that the
true God is Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala.
Okay? Yeah.
Yeah. Okay. It's like the same meaning in
English. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
This issue about revolting against the leaders. Okay?
First of all,
let's just get the worst situation.
The guy is the biggest mujim,
he's the biggest criminal,
he is the biggest fasaf
transgressive,
he commits
all the major sins.
Okay?
The prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam has talked about
this person or this type of person
B'aina
specifically.
Oh, it was that clear?
He mentioned in a hadith which was narrated
by Muslim,
he
goes
There will be leaders after me. They
will not take my guidance as a guidance,
okay, and they will not practice my
sunnah.
Their hearts are like the hearts of
the shaitan.
Fijis Man and is in the body of
a human.
And then he said in the end of
the hadith
If they beat your back
and take your money, listen and obey.
Okay? Can anyone get worse than the description
that has been mentioned here?
The answer is no. The prophet
has mentioned the worst example
that will come after him, like he said
in the hadith, we show the signs of
prophecy.
Okay? And it has actually happened. We have
leaders that
all about what they do.
Great major things that they do. Okay? At
the same time, Allah subhanahu or the prophet
has told us to be patient
and not do anything. Because if we do
something, if we revolt, what happens?
We have a great example now. Everybody can
see.
Okay?
And some people they say, okay, there's another
hadith.
The prophet
that you cannot revolt against him until you
see what? Clear infidelity.
Okay? Sometimes you would see clear infidelity from
some of the rulers,
but it's from the Muslims' interest now, especially
the time we're in,
where they're so screwed up and there's no
one listening to anyone,
that they keep patient.
Okay?
That they keep patient.
Because if the Muslim, they don't have no
foothold
and they start attacking,
it's going to lead to a bigger munkar,
going to lead to a bigger evil.
In this case, it's better to what? To
leave off
and to be patient.
Like Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said,
the ulama have taken out from this eye
and deprived from it
that
you do not try and change an evil
if it's going to lead to what? To
a bigger evil.
Allah said in this do not
talk badly or curse.
Okay? Those that are worshiped other than Allah
or besides Allah
because they're gonna do what? They're going to
swear at Allah.
Even though is something, nothing wrong with it.
But because it's what? Led to a bigger
thing, them cursing Allah
what happens? Allah has told us not to
curse their gods, especially in front of them.
Imagine now I go out to the city
center.
I start talking badly about
some of the deities, false deities. What is
the people gonna do? They're gonna start swearing
on Allah,
and you're gonna find people, yani, waging war
against
Islam.
Okay? And this leads to a bigger mukar,
bigger evil, bigger Yani problems.
Okay? So in this case, it's best for
the people to be patient
until the Muslims become what? More strong and
more together. Because otherwise, they're going to need
to follow that. And we can see it
with our eyes right now.
Look what happened in mister look what happened
in Yemen.
In Yemen, for example, they were saying,
Abdullah Saleh, he's this, he's that, he's this.
Now they are wishing he was in charge.
There was some oppression going on, Nashak.
We do not defend the people upon battle.
Okay? Allah said Okay? There was oppression going.
There was things going on. People getting sent
down from the air sent back from the
airport. But at the same time,
we have to be patient. They revolted against
him, and now they are suffering.
And the problem is worse than it was
when he was in charge. That's just one
example.
And I hope that's
more
clear.
Sorry. I didn't like you used a a
few big big words there. The person was
saying became Muslim, but No. They knew that.
Yeah. And the people are still coming up
to him, giving him doubts and
basically, it's like as if the person
was like
like you said, some people say say lie
in the head a lot. Yeah. And the
person may think I have to become Muslim.
Yeah. But yet,
Yeah. But yet, like, they've not guide the
person have not guide you just in the
right way. Yeah. And you're all confused. Okay.
We're all confused, and you go under the,
what's it called, the under the
band of, jahl, of ignorance. Okay? If the
person, for example, now was committing shirk, and
at the same time he's saying,
Okay? He might be excused for his what?
His jahal.
And now he finds out obviously he makes
trouble from what he's doing and tries to
learn his deen and act
worship of
Allah How can we worship Allah if we
have no?
That's why is very, very essential.
Okay?
I hope that's clear the issue before that
about
the rulers and revolting and
things like that. If anyone has any And
what is What is Nafar? Nafar, hypocrisy.
Hypocrisy.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay. Okay. That's I hope that's enough. Let
me see
next week
