Abu Taymiyyah – Al Mubaadi Al Mufeedah 1
AI: Summary ©
The importance of learning the deens and spreading the deens of Allah's subhanahu wa wa wa wa is discussed in a series of segments. The speakers emphasize the importance of disputing accusations of shrooming and apologizing for them, learning to handle one's behavior and comply with one's statement, learning to handle one's behavior and intentions, and learning to understand the book's elements. They also stress the importance of facing one's actions and intentions and learning to handle one's behavior and intentions.
AI: Summary ©
He has all given us the tawfiq, the
success
to carry on coming to the masala of
Allah
You tend to find that many lessons that
start,
you might find maybe 40 people coming first.
And then as the weeks go on,
you find the numbers decreasing.
But as I can see around,
the people are still coming and you find
more brothers coming as well.
This is a bounty by Allah
upon us all.
So it's upon us to
keep thanking Allah
because of these that he has bestowed upon
us.
Allah says in the Quran, and
when you thank
Allah he will increase you in your bounties.
And Allah will not take this bounty out
or to remove it from all of us.
Only after us removing or doing something with
ourselves or changing
ourselves.
Like Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala mentioned in the
Quran.
Allah
doesn't change the people until they change themselves.
So this is something great,
And my request to you is to carry
on coming to the lessons
so we can all benefit.
And thereon, we can benefit the ummah
by us learning the deen then spreading the
deen of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And we should also try to the best
of our ability to benefit while we are
still young.
Most brothers here, you can see, they're still
young.
They're still at the early stages of their
lives.
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, he said,
said,
7 categories of people
will be under the shade of Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala, the shade of the throne of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
The day when there's no shade except his
shade.
And he mentioned from them,
A young person
who strove
in worshiping Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And another category
that is suitable for us to mention now
is
a man
whose heart was connected to the
So by us connecting ourselves to
the and likewise striving and to learn the
we
all hope we go under the category
that the prophet
he mentioned.
Inshallah, from this week,
we try to move into the book called
the
Most of you have this book in front
of you.
It's a very simple book,
which includes in many great foundations of the
deen.
And you find in this book
3 main things.
These three things
we'll be learning it
as we move on inside the book.
And if you was to flick through the
book, you'd find
that a lot a lot of the issues
mentioned.
The sheikh has tried to nurture the people
in learning the proofs.
This is what makes this book different from
many, many of the other books.
In any issue that he comes to,
he mentions an issue, then after that, he
mentions a proof.
The reason that the sheikh has done this
Why?
So a person, when he speaks,
when a person, when he acts,
and likewise, when a person, when he teaches,
he can mention the proofs to the people,
and so that his plea becomes stronger.
So that his plea,
especially when giving Dawah is stronger.
And if you find inside the book, when
you look inside the book,
you would find that the sheikh has started
by mentioning tawhid.
The first thing that he started with was
the tawhid.
We have to ask ourselves, why has the
sheikh started with tawhid and never started with
the fiqh
of salat,
of Zakat,
of rakayak,
or Adab, etcetera.
The reason why the sheikh started with Tawhid
is because Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
the first order he gave in the Quran
was based upon Tawhid.
Allah says in the Quran,
O people,
worship your Lord.
And a person cannot worship Allah except
with tawheed.
Very, very important that this Tawhid is established.
And the first prohibition in the Quran is
what?
To stay away from the thing that
removes
the or destroys the which is
To associate partners of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
he says,
and do not
make partners of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala while
you know it.
And also,
from the
the Hadith of the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
if we was to look at it, we
would find
that the prophet
started
with Tawhid before anything else.
This shows the importance of Tawhid
and the precedence it takes before anything else.
When the prophet
sent Muad ibn Jabal,
to
Yemen.
The first thing he told him
to call the people to was
to worship Allah
to testify that no one has the right
to be worshiped except Allah
This is the first thing that he ordered
him to do.
Then he said to him, if the people,
they accept this,
then call to then call them
and make them understand that Allah
has made obligatory upon them to establish the
5 daily prayers.
And then he told them to call them
to zakah
till the end of the hadith.
So we can extract from this hadith
the importance of this issue of tawhid.
If we was to start our dua
or our calling to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
and start teaching the people,
for example,
always teach them how to pray,
And we leave the to the side.
This person that learns how to pray
might not have to hid.
And because of this, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
will not accept his prayer. Because why there's
no
When we worship Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has
to be based upon what? Singling out Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala. You find people that are
very very strong in the field of
Then at the same time,
you find them what they call onto Allah.
Has his faqh benefited him? The answer is
no. Because why he had no tuhid?
You find many people also,
they speak bad about those
who constantly call the people to Tuhhid.
They say, okay, all these people, they talk
about
etcetera.
They talk to us like we don't know
how to worship Allah.
This is what they say.
Rather, we had Ibrahim Alaihi Salam.
The individual
that broke the
the statues.
This is what he said.
He swore by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, he's
going to break the and
in the end, he did it.
And you find him at the same time,
the imam of Tawhid, the scholar of Tawhid.
He says, he makes dua
to
Allah Prevent me
and my offspring
to associate partners with you.
He is fearing for himself now to what?
To fall into shirk.
To go back to
worshiping the the statues.
If this is the case of Ibrahim the
individual that try to destroy
and actually destroy the shirk at his time.
So, how do you think our situation is?
Don't you think that we need constant remindings,
reminders
regarding Tawhid?
And you find those that criticize
the people that called it to hate constantly,
you find they have a lot of takseer,
shortcomings
regarding this issue.
They've left it off so much and at
the same time, they fall into basic
mistakes into.
And likewise, you have the prophet
He makes to Allah.
He says, oh Allah, I seek refuge
in
and likewise in poverty.
The chapter
of what?
Fearing to fall into shirk.
And then he mentioned the proof that I
just mentioned earlier.
The eye of Ibrahim Alaihi Salam
when Allah
quotes him and he says, oh Allah, prevent
me
and my offspring
from falling into shirk.
So this is something very very important,
and it's from the affairs and aspects that
complete the person's to hid.
You have
He
was from the heads of the He
fed for himself Nifaq.
He fed for himself
hypocrisy.
This is the Khalifa Torah, this is from
the Khalifa Rashidin.
The second best person after the prophet
The best person after him was who? Abu
Bakr. Then after him was
He
grabbed
after the prophet
told him, told Hudayfa,
some of the time.
He grabbed him. He said to him, did
the prophet
mention me from them?
Fearing for himself that he's fallen into this
big act
of kufr, of nifaq,
etcetera.
This
is why
The fear of a person
that his actions become fruitless, not accepted.
And at the same time, he doesn't know
it.
If this is the case of the
don't you think we are foremost
to be studying the Tawhid day and night?
That alone is enough for us to be
studying it day and night. But at the
same time, we have to teach the people
and likewise learn Allah affairs of the deen.
So we just try to shed light upon
this because why?
You find a lot of doubts going around
regarding this issue.
People not appreciating Tawhid
and respecting it how it should be respected.
And likewise, some of the reasons why you
find a lot of the when they start
their books, they start with to aid.
Because
is the most
biggest of sins.
The biggest sin that if a person was
to do it and die upon it, Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala will not forgive him.
Allah says in the Quran
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala doesn't allow you to
associate Allah
does not forgive, if a person associates fond
of them.
But he forgive everything else.
If a person now was to be drinking
all his life,
smoking weed, using heroin,
fornicating.
I'm not saying this is something permissible, you
can go do it.
But you're going to be under the will
of Allah.
There might be a chance that he might
forgive you, and there could be a chance
he won't.
So we shouldn't take the risk anyway.
Okay? There's a chance that Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala might forgive us if we die upon
that.
If we commit the most major of sins.
But if we was to die upon shirk,
then in this case, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
will not forgive us.
And a person would abide
forever in the hellfire.
Like Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in the
Quran.
Allah
says in the Quran.
He
has been related to me and those before
me. If a person was to commit shirk,
then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will make all
his actions fruitless.
And Allah says in the Quran
And Allah
says in the Quran, and the one that
associate partners of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, then
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has prohibited for him
to enter into what? The Jannah.
So So whose situation is more worse than
the one that drinks or the one that
commit shirk? The answer is the one that
commit shirk.
Because there's no chance that Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala will forgive him if he dies upon
it.
So this is why
the stress
so much
in trying to divert the people
from worshiping Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala into what?
And likewise, Tawhid is the bigger of the
major sins.
Like we mentioned earlier, the prophet
he said,
shall I inform you of the major of
the major sins? The Sahaba then asked, why
is it? He said
And likewise,
when people will be interceding
for people.
This person that has died upon shirk, he
will have no intercession.
The day of regret, the day when no
one has anything,
Except to Allah
has decreed fame. Allah said,
The intercession of the interceders will not benefit
And likewise, if a person wants to come
a shirk,
Allah
will not accept his actions until he leaves
it,
and Allah will leave him.
For example, now I'm in this dunya.
I'm committing many, many good things, and at
the same time what? I've committed
shirk. In this case, even if I'm doing
these all these good things, Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala will have left me off, and likewise
will not accept my
good deeds.
The kuffar now. Some people they say, they've
got very good They're
very very, like, you know, they've done this,
they've done that, they've done this.
All these things that these kuffar they're doing,
which at the same time they're worshiping other
than Allah. It will not benefit them.
Their good
their good behavior,
their good actions will not benefit them. Because
why the prophet sallallahu alaihi was telling me,
he said, he was narrated by Muslim.
On the authority of Abu Huraira
I am the most not in need
of people associating partners with me.
Whoever does an action, and he associates partners
with me in this action,
then I leave him,
and I likewise leave his action. This person
will be left,
and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will not turn
to him.
So, these are only some of the things
or some of the reasons why the
stress so much in trying to establish
And this is the sunnah of the prophet
This
is the occupation
of the Anbiya.
The first thing they came to or they
called to was what was to aid.
Allah says in the Quran,
We have brought up
or brought forth from every Ummah, from every
people, a messenger.
In order to call them to the deen
of Allah to establish the to
worship Allah and to stay away from the
and the like a compromised
or a general definition is everything that is
worshiped
besides Allah
This was the occupation.
This is what the prophet
when entering into the markets
used to call to. He would say
he'd be walking around in the markets
saying, oh, people, say
and you will be successful.
And because of this Kalima,
this thing he called to, the Tawhid, he
was stoned.
Until you would find his feet bleeding.
When he went to Roosevelt at Tabuk oh,
when he went to Tabuk, sorry.
He went to Tabuk in order to call
his people.
Taif. Noam. Sa Sa.
He went to Taif, and he's trying to
call his people.
To what? To Tawhid.
They stoned him so badly that his feet
would be bleeding.
And all he did was what? Call the
people to Tawhid, and his answer would be
at the end. Oh Allah forgive my people
for indeed they do not know.
So this is the thing
that
the those that came after them,
the scholars.
And likewise, the scholars of this time,
the Sahaba,
the prophet
stressed to do all their lives, to establish
the
Because if you establish tawhid,
this is when everything else comes after it.
You find success because of what?
And also, Yachuan, something that I really want
to mention also,
that when studying knowledge,
okay,
if we have something in our heads,
if we have a problem, or we don't
understand something that is being taught,
we should try to the best of our
ability to ask.
Mujahid,
one of the students, Ibn Abbasi, said, 2
people, they do not learn.
The arrogant one and the shy one.
Why doesn't the arrogant one learn? Because he
thinks he knows it all.
We are all Jahil to some extent, ignorant
to some extent.
Whether it is our scholars, whether it is
the major scholars. Everyone is Jahil Basit. They
call it Jahil Basit.
Ignorant to some extent.
Is there anyone in this dunya that's learned
everything?
That knows everything. The answer is no.
Even the scholars, they are in a position
where they're still learning. There's things they are
they are they are learning.
As for the second type of jahal, it's
called jahalmurakab.
The Jahal person, the arrogant person that does
not wanna learn. Whatever you're telling, you won't
accept.
This is the displaced
type of Jahal.
So we all go under what the Jahalba
said.
We are all in need to learn.
Especially when we're learning, you find a lot
of ishqalat, a lot of problems. Sometimes,
you find this proof or it doesn't go
with the other one. So we have to
try and solve this problem.
But if we don't ask ourselves, or even
our brothers, we're never gonna learn this.
This is why
said, 2 people they do not learn, the
arrogant one and also the shy one.
Imam Abu Hara Ahmedullah Alaihi, he chapters
in Having shyness in the deen
or in the knowledge.
And then he used as proof
the statement I just mentioned earlier of Mujahid.
And he also mentioned the statement of Aisha
Radiullah Anha.
She said the best of the women are
the women of the Ansar.
Why? Because shyness never prevented them
from having an understanding of the deen.
Because why they used to ask?
She asked the prophet
can a woman have a *?
When he said to her, naam, she put
a hand on her face.
Meaning, she got very very shy.
This is a woman, she's asking a man.
In this time, it would be very very
abnormal.
You wanna find that happening.
But at that time, they're trying to get
an understanding in the deen.
So, she asked him and the prophet salallahu
alaihi wa sallam he told her.
And also, another thing that a person can
do if he's shy to ask a question,
he can ask his friend to ask for
him.
Whoever is shy and he asks someone else
to ask for him.
Okay?
This is what Ali
he done. And his hadith is in Buhari.
Used to be a person which frequently
they call it in the English language, emotional,
like, they call in the English language something
called.
In the English language, the translators are very,
very, you know, these terms terms they use
in the university and the emotional
urethral discharge or something like that. It's called
that. Okay? And he used to get this
constantly.
So he was shy to ask the prophet
he asked someone else to ask for him.
Okay?
So this is life from the ways, if
a person has any problem,
he asked his friend in order to ask,
so we can solve this problem that person
has.
It's called that. Okay. Urethral discharge. Yeah. Because
I looked it up in the translation, I
couldn't find like a
and, it said emotional urethral discharge, something like
that.
And
now, we try to move into the lesson
of today.
Just a small summarization of who the sheikh
is.
The sheikh's name is Asherq
Abu Abdul Rahman, Yaheb Nalil Hajuri.
He is from the scholars of Yemen.
Those
that grew up in Yemen,
but
he went to Saudi
to study
some of the knowledge over there.
He memorized the Quran
in Saudi Arabia, and likewise studied some parts
of hadith
in Saudi Arabia.
Then after that,
he tried to seek more knowledge. The sheikh
was very, very eager in trying to seek
knowledge
Because he was nurtured upon this at a
very young age.
His father, may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala preserve
him, is still alive.
He used to try to get them at
a very, very young age in order to
study the deen.
And, likewise, he used to be very eager
in trying to make them pray
with the
And the biggest thing that will sadden him,
if they miss the
This is where he's meant
is mentioned in his biography.
So when the sheikh was studying mister Uddiyarabia,
he wanted to carry on and seek a
knowledge.
So we heard about Sheikh Mookbel, which was
in Yemen.
Sheikh Mookbel is from the famous scholars of
Yemen.
So when he heard about this,
the Sheikh left Saudi Arabia in order to
go to Yemen to study with the Sheikh.
So this was a time when the Sheikh
really really expanded in his knowledge.
Began to learn Naho, Arabic grammar,
a Hadith, many many fields in the deen.
And this was a very very small Masjid
at the time. It could have been maybe
a bit smaller than this. Sheikh Mohammed would
have a very small Masjid.
He never begged in order to get a
bigger Masjid. Rabbi was the blessing of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala
for teaching the deen
that a lot of came about. He had
a very small masjid,
and then it started
to become
bigger and become,
more expanded
as the students became very, very many.
So when the sheikh was studying with the
sheikh,
there was a time
when the sheikh sometimes would not be able
to attend a lesson and give a lesson.
So he would leave behind
in order to teach the people.
When the sheikh passed away,
because the sheikh at
that time had many, many scholars at his
disposal.
He could have chosen anyone to start teaching
the people.
But his decision was based upon
Sheikh Yahi taking over and becoming the new
teacher, Adar al Hadid, with the merge.
So at this time,
Sheikh Yahi has started teaching many many of
the lessons.
And more students started coming from all over
the world.
It became very very well known around the
world.
You find people from all types of cultures.
Eritreans,
Ethiopians, French,
white people, black people,
all types of people
coming from their countries in order to go
study with the Sheikh and to go gain
the knowledge that is found there.
With all the places I've gone
because while I travel around in Yemen, I've
seen most of the Marrakis. Likewise, going to
Saudi Arabia to check it out over there
as well.
But never have I seen a place
like in the Maj.
Maybe around 20 to 25 lessons open up
every week.
You can study a of a hadith,
of tawhid,
of
all at one time.
This lesson finishes the next week on number
20 a hadith.
From the morning to the night, you'll find
what? Many many lessons at your disposal.
But by the Qadr of Allah
the place where the Sheikh was teaching
was attacked many times.
Like maybe a good 4 years ago,
the people that are around there, because it's
mostly
like you find the whole province of North
Yemen is taken by Shias.
And this little this little village is the
only Sunni province there.
Many times they try to attack it but
they failed.
Maybe 4 years ago, they had a big
war with the donor, the government.
That finished.
Then another 2 years later,
they tried again.
They sieged the people over there.
But alhamdulillah, Allah
helped them to go to get through it.
And then recently,
there was the last siege.
Where they turned the whole masjid
into a beehive. I think you all know
a beehive, it has many many holes in
there.
They try to destroy the place
so that this knowledge is not there to
be found anymore.
So in conclusion, basically, what happened now is
that the people,
they left this place.
15,000
people who left their countries in order to
study the deen of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
they left this place, and they basically went
back to their villages. They went back to
different cities. And the place we used to
know has to be a Dar al Elm,
a place of knowledge, is not there anymore.
This is what they've been doing for the
last few years, planning in order to destroy
this knowledge.
This is the this is the reality that
is taking place.
The sheikh now, at the moment,
many people have come up to him in
order to make a new markers, to make
a new place where they can study.
And the Allah
knows best what will happen and where the
new
place of knowledge will be.
The
The author has started with the
This is from the recommended acts
of the deen.
That when a person starts to write
a book
or a letter, that he starts with the
best
This is what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has
done in his Quran.
You can find every Surah start with the
best
except for what? Surah the Tawba.
And likewise,
when he began to write, he started with
the best
because why you're trying to seek blessings from
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala?
Even the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi was telling when
he wrote to Hercules,
or in the Arabic language, they say,
but in the English language, I think they
say they
they they call it
Hercules.
Yeah. When he wrote a letter to him
in order
to submit
and to embrace Islam,
he started with the
best. So this is something recommended
when a person writes a book or writes
a letter that he does.
The
says,
all praise is due to Allah.
Much good blessed praise.
I bear witness
that there is no deity
that has the right to be worshiped except
Allah alone,
without any partner.
And I bear witness that Muhammad is his
slave and messenger.
This is also from the sunnah.
That person when he does a khutbah or
when he writes a letter and likewise a
book, that he starts with the khutbah
In schools, they teach you how to write
a letter. That you do this, you put
the title, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
Here we have now,
like a way to write a letter in
the Islamic form.
So the first thing that a person can
do is what? Write start with the best
and then after
And this is now considered to be a
very Islamic formal
letter.
To proceed,
Allah
says in his noble book,
were you witnesses
when death approached Yaqub?
When he said to his sons,
what will you worship after me? They said,
we will worship your god.
The god of your fathers,
Ibrahim and Ishmael and Ishaq.
One god, and to him he submits.
We have a great lesson in this.
While he's on his deathbed,
he's trying to inform his kids, his offspring,
to carry on the tawhid.
He's not telling them, my land over there,
if I die, I'll be split between you
lot. No. The most important thing he's trying
to mention to the people what is tawhid.
Because a person can divert from it very
very easily.
Oh, I never told them, if you get
married like many many people, they say before
they're dying, I want my kid to get
married to Fulana,
from this tribe, or from there.
Or, I want my kid to go to
uni.
Last words.
They have
forgotten
You have them
trying to think about the, affairs of the
dunya.
And we have a great lesson in this.
And likewise, the prophet
just remembered.
When he was on his deathbed,
from the deathbed that he never stood up
from.
He said,
He said, curse. May the curse of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala be upon the
the
because why they took the graves of the
Masjid?
He's trying to mention to the people what?
The Tawhid.
Because why this is related to Tawhid.
These Jews and the Christian that took the
as
places of worship. I mean, the graves as
places of worship like the they were committing
shirk.
They were committing worship to Abba to Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
The says,
and he has been authentically reported from the
Hadith of Ibn Abbas,
That he said, I was riding
behind the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam one
day when he said,
this shows the humbleness of the prophet
He was the prophet, and the same time,
he had behind
him.
On a camel.
You find it's very very rare with people
that have high status between the people.
They think it's embarrassing to have a little
kid behind them, or to walk with a
little kid. They think too big of themselves.
This shows the the
humbleness of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
because he wrote with a young boy.
He said, oh young boy,
verily I'm going to teach
you some phrases.
Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect
you.
Be mindful of Allah,
you will find him in front of you.
When you ask Allah,
when you ask, ask Allah.
And when you seek help, seek Allah
help.
This is a very very important foundation.
When you ask, ask Allah
You find many people, when he's struggling with
a problem,
that he goes running to the people.
Or when he becomes ill, he goes running
to the doctor.
When Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the shafi,
he is the one that kills
all sicknesses.
The doctor only gives you a medicine. He
can't put a cure in your body.
Allah says about Ibrahim
And when I become sick, Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala is the one that accuse me.
Rather, what we should be doing is turning
to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala firstly.
Then after that, take the causes.
And likewise, when a person loses his money
or he has no money, the first thing
he thinks of what? I need to go
back to the housing association,
I need to go to the job center
to ask for money.
He has forgotten Allah
is
the provider,
As soon as money is finishing,
he's running to the in order for him
to give him money.
We should be going to Allah
and asking him, begging him to give us,
because he's the one that gives everything.
Some people they take haram,
fearing what? They're going to die in this
country.
They have 2 books. They call it the
2 books.
Even one time I heard on the radio,
Tony Blair was saying
that some of the
people here,
he dislikes them very, very much. Why? Because
they have 2 books.
2 benefit books.
The wife, she says what? I'm single.
She tries to claim benefits.
The father says what? I don't have anyone.
He tries to clean benefit.
So they're getting independent benefits in order for
what? To get more money.
Lying in order to do this.
Frying if they don't get benefit, halas, they're
going to die.
It's not only from the shaitan that he
scares the people,
trying to make them fear that they're going
to die, which is absolutely nonsense.
A person doesn't die until his
risk has finished, like the prophet
he
said.
So what we need to do is connect
our hearts to Allah subhanahu
wa
ta'ala
firstly.
Not there are only causes
that Allah has put them there for.
Rather the almighty,
giver,
and the provider of Allah
And when you seek help, seek Allah
help.
Know that if the nation were together
together to benefit you of something,
they would not benefit you except with something
that Allah
has already prescribed for you.
And if they were together,
together to harm you with something,
they would not
harm you except with something that Allah
has already prescribed against you.
The pens have been lifted, and the pages
have
dried.
This teaches us about the decree of Allah
That everything is already decreed.
They've all the people in this dunya tried
to attack you, or tried to do something
to you, and it's not real for you,
it's not gonna happen.
He said,
and say to them,
you are not going to be afflicted of
anything except for what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
has prescribed against you.
Something that I witnessed,
just remembered now, I would like to mention
to you.
In the last Hajj,
my dad takes groups to Hajj and Umrah.
In Hajj time, on the day of Arafa,
when we was leaving,
there was different groups there.
And a woman
from our group,
she fell.
Basically, it was her last moments of her
life. She fell.
And there was a group there
which had more than 30 doctors.
We all know how many you know, we
all know the doctors,
what they can do.
Okay? That they have a lot of knowledge
regarding these issues of pharmacy, and they can
try, you know, do something.
All these doctors, which were around 30 doctors
at that time,
came to surround her. These were all for
judge. They're committing, they are trying to perform
the Hajj.
So they came to surround her in order
to help her.
Then I realized that day, and likewise told
my dad,
if the people could ever have done thing
done something, the doctors have had healed this
person.
But it wasn't written for her.
That shows Bani Adam cannot do nothing. If
something that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has decreed.
30 doctors
When do you find 30 doctors in one
place trying to do something to 1 person?
That's very, very rare. And they're trying everything.
You find this doctor, he tries, he goes.
He can't do nothing. The next one
comes. He can't do nothing. The next third
one, etcetera.
So this shows
that
cannot benefit you
if Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has decreed for
you something else.
It's a very important thing.
And likewise, when we're afflicted with afflictions,
we have to be patient. These things have
to happen.
And we have to be pleased. We try
to be pleased
and also accept that this is something Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala has decreed 50,000 years ago.
And we can't do nothing about it.
He says, and we will
afflict them, test them.
With fear.
Allah
will test us with a loss of wealth,
and likewise wealth,
and give us many things.
But those that will get glad tidings are
those that are patient.
These things are very, very important.
Some people when they're afflicted of something, they
go hang themselves.
Or he checks themselves off the
however, like a very high point. I think
the brother was telling me the other day,
there was people here. There was a woman
here.
She jumped off the car park or something
like that. It was here.
Because why? No iman.
They don't know that this is something Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala has decreed for them. Maybe
she was afflicted,
or maybe she went through a lot of
depression.
And she's thinking, what? What am I gonna
do?
Had she known the din of Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala? Things might have been different.
Has she known the Quran? Has she known
the I had to talk about his
is, afflictions,
etcetera.
So this is something very, very important
that a person should keep in his mind.
The pens have been lifted and the pages
have dried. Meaning, everything is already decreed and
no one can change it.
The Sheikh then says,
so this verse and hadith, and the likes
of them, are a basis
for teaching the children
comprehensive statements.
In the oneness of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Because why Yahu is telling his children? He's
teaching his children.
And likewise, if not Abbas, he's trying the
prophet
will send me strength to teach.
Some people they say I remember one of
my family members said this to me. He
goes, why don't you only grow your beard
or start learning the din when you're old?
This is what some people they think. That
you only learn the deal or you only
need to learn the deal when you're older
or when you're bigger,
etcetera.
This is not correct. Rather, the
has to be started very very little.
Because why the people get used to it
then?
If I tell a person now after he's
been living for 50 years, he's been doing
something for 50 years,
Do this now. It might be very very
difficult for him. This is why the prophet
said,
order them to pray the salat when they're
7.
But hit them when they attend.
Why? So a person can get used to
the prayers, and likewise the is very, very
young. And it doesn't become difficult for a
person when he's older.
Okay.
Teaching the children comprehensive
statements
in the oneness of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
and teaching how to worship him and comply
with his
ordinances.
And reply upon him
and fear him.
And to have faith in divine
preordainment.
Meaning the Qadr that we just talked about,
everyone wants to come together in order to
hurt you or try to do against you
and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala decrees something else,
it wouldn't happen.
The good and the evil
thereof.
So this is the correct Islamic education
which is hoped
for who for he who is brought up
upon that he becomes from the best of
the righteous slaves of Allah
This is what prompted me to write for
my small children.
May Allah rectify them and rectify others through
them.
These simple phrases in the elementary principles of
and backed by proof from the Quran and
the sunnah.
Hoping from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that he
benefits
them by it and the rest of the
Muslim children.
And with Allah is a success.
The Sheikh first
is author this book or publish this book
for his children.
But because of maybe
Allah
knows best of his sincerity in this book
when authoring it,
Allah has made a very very famous books.
You find many people all over the world
buying this book in order to teach themselves,
and likewise then their children.
Because why? It consists of very, very basic
things of the deen.
Of that many people are unmindful of.
This is what the Sheikh
started
his authoring with in order for his children.
But
you find many many people when they go
to that place
of the this is the first book they
start with.
And it makes their basis very very strong.
Then after that, what this book is something
like,
stepping stone between the rest of the books.
And you're all going to come to know
when we go through this book, the importance
of it.
And inshallah, we just take a few
questions from the book and then we carry
on next week.
Because, I think we've taken a lot of
the time already.
Number 1,
when it is said to you, who created
you?
Say Allah
has created me,
and he has
created all of the creative beings.
And the proof is a statement of Allah
Allah is the creator of all things.
Number 2,
when it is said to you, who is
your lord?
Say, Allah is my lord and the lord
of all things.
And the proof is the statement of Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
While he is the lord of all things.
And his statement
All praise is due to Allah,
Lord of all that exists.
And request from the brothers,
when we go through these simple questions, that
they memorize the proofs.
It's only a few ayaats, it's only a
few lines.
So when we teach the people, and we
teach our
close relatives,
and those that are far from us, we
can mention to them the proofs.
When you mention to a person a proof,
and when a person doesn't, you find a
big difference.
Because why?
The proof has some sort of emphasis upon
the person. If I don't mention anything to
him, my statement is like the statement every
of everyone else.
Everyone will come with their own statements,
and everything is gonna become like a chaos.
But when I have, like, a proof, a
very clear proof regarding any affair,
this issue ends there and then, in most
cases.
Sometimes you find some
Okay? Like
etcetera,
which is very, very broad sometimes. But in
most affairs, especially in the affairs of the,
if you have your proof, it's very, very
simple and clear. This will make us different
from the rest of the people.
You find in these first two questions that
the Sheikh started off with,
He begins to talk about
the oneness of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in
his lordship.
The oneness of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in
his lordship.
We all have to believe
that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the almighty
creator.
The sustainer
and the control of all affairs.
And there's no one with him
doing anything like this.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the one that
provides for you. All these other people that
give you money, your workplaces are only causes.
They are not with Allah
providing for you.
They have no choice and they have no
ability in this.
Unlike with another important affair which is related
to this,
it is not it is not enough for
a person
to be a Muslim if he only believes
that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the almighty
creator.
We're going to come to this and you're
going to understand this better.
The more we move on into the book.
If I come along now and I say
Allah is the almighty creator,
sustainer,
giver,
provider, etcetera.
The affairs are related to his lordship.
This is not enough for a person to
enter into Islam.
Because while we have in the Quran many,
many statements
that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says
to the Quraysh.
He says Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
The Quraysh,
when you ask them, who created the heaven
and the earth?
They will say to Allah.
They knew Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the
bigger creator.
They acknowledge this affair
of lordship.
But at the same time,
they committed shirk in other affairs, like in
worship.
I hope I'm not going too far. Does
everyone understand what I'm saying? Yeah?
Okay.
They will say that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
is the almighty giver, creator,
sustainer, etcetera.
Many, many, many in the Quran related to
this.
So now we understand from this,
we have to believe in the lordship.
But if we was to believe in it
and not believe in anything else, it wouldn't
be
sufficient. And it wouldn't make us a Muslim.
Okay. So
to Allah, I think the time is finished
now.
I hope everyone has the ability. I think
you all have the books now to memorize
these three lines or these 3 ayaat,
and also the question. And inshallah, when we
memorize this question, it will make us stronger
and likewise increases the knowledge.
Because the used to say,
that 2 things are very, very important for
a student of knowledge.
The first thing, memorizing.
The second thing is having Fahm.
Because if a person have understanding
and he can't memorize, what's he gonna tell
the people?
He can't mention the Ayat.
He can't mention the Hadith.
Okay?
I think it's Abdullah ibn Masud.
He said,
The most knowledgeable of us was the one
that memorized the most things.
Okay?
Cause when a person has knowledge in his
head,
he can discuss and likewise mention to the
people wherever he is. You can't be carrying
carrying around your books wherever you go.
For example, when I go to Saudi Arabia
or go to the other side of the
world, someone asked me something. Am I gonna
tell him, no, I forgot the books at
home? I can't tell you. No. But we
have our memorization with us. We have the
ayaat with us. We have the hadith with
us. We can establish anywhere
we go.
So this this is why memorization is very,
very important.
And likewise, then comes the fam, the understanding.
If a person just memorizes all day, and
he doesn't know what the Quran is talking
about,
or what the ayat he's memorizing is talking
about, there's also no benefit. Cause why? He
doesn't know what to do with it. What's
he gonna do with the ayat?
So those these two things are.
Each one necessitates the other,
are very, very important.
So
when we study this book, we're gonna be
taking very, very little by little,
not giving you a whole load at one
time.
We try to memorize slowly, slowly,
and also come to the lesson, and we
have memorized what we just took in the
previous lesson.
And inshallah, that's enough. If anyone has any
question related to what we just took,
then,
you're free to
inquire.
Let's not try to be shy. Yeah?
Yeah. He has a book called Al Kabair.
Okay. He mentioned the law of Kabair.
Okay?
And some of the element, they go like
a general rule that from the Kabair,
if there's a threat of 4 things.
For example, whoever does this, then he will
be threatened with this. And I'm gonna mention
the 4 things.
If there's a of
like a threat of the hellfire.
Meaning, whoever does this will enter into the
hellfire.
The second thing,
If the prophet
said, oh, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, whoever
does this gets cursed.
Or has the curse of Allah upon him.
Like cursing the Sahaba and whoever does our
acts, there's many acts like that. Sorry. Say
that again. We
And he forgives everything else other than shirk.
Whether I was to smoke or
No. If you kill someone now Without reason.
Without reason, and you make tawba to Allah,
you ask Allah for forgiveness,
he will forgive you by the will of
Allah. Yeah. Who won't forgive you? Okay. That
person.
Okay. They even say
the the rights,
sometimes between you and Allah.
Sometimes between you and the and sometimes within
yourself.
Okay? You or between
me and you?
Yes, I know. Yeah.
He said, though you will be see what
you do. Yeah. But with Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala, I have to ask this person for
forgiveness.
Because, you know, Tawba has 4 shirot. Yes.
Tawba has 4 shirot.
Imam Nawi mentioned in
the first one, the person he has to
make Tawba, seek forgiveness.
Second one, he has to be regretful.
3rd 3rd one, he has to,
make the decision. He never goes back to
it. Okay? And the 4th one, it only
applies if it's connected to someone else. For
example, now I stole from someone or I
killed someone.
Okay?
If I stole this camera from this person,
it is not sufficient
that I do the first three and not
do the 4th one. I have to seek
forgiveness from him and give it back.
You get me? Okay.
Yeah.
Basically, your brother, you're trying to say that
the one that kills? I understand that really
what what you said. Yeah.
Okay. If you're trying to say that,
killing, Allah won't forgive it. Are you trying
to say that also?
That if you kill someone, Yani, it's like
the same as
okay. Can we speak after? Yeah? Can we
yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. What they want to say then? Yeah.
Probably,
after the lesson, we can sit down. We
can discuss inshallah. Okay? Okay. Okay.
Now inshallah, we discuss another time, inshallah. Okay.
Okay, the kabaya.
Yeah. The first one, if there's a threat
of on there. Me, whoever does this gets
cursed.
2nd thing, a
nam. 3rd thing, shudud.
Jalim is to ask about Allah. For example,
the one that fornicates,
he will be beaten with 80. Okay. Etcetera.
Or the one that fornicates and his musan
is married, he'll be he'll be,
killed, stoned.
Okay? Things like that. And the 4th thing,
if the prophet
said, whoever does this, I'm free from him.
Okay? These four things are mentioned in the
even the
like we mentioned the ayahs before.
It is not the same as what? As
Sheikh. There's
a chance, but we don't have Allah will
forgive us. They will use to do it,
he might forgive
us. Okay?
But they made Tawba. They made
yeah. But they made Tawba. If I yeah.
Okay. I'll I'll mention to you now. If
I was to, for example, now a person,
he's been committing shirk all his life, for
example.
And then he makes repents to Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala. He will forgive you because Allah
says in the Quran. Yeah.
Yeah.
Because Allah says in the Quran
oh slave of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, those
that have transgressed
against themselves.
Okay?
Okay. Basically, the brother told me to clarify
that those that commit we don't say the
kufar. That is incorrect. That's that's not correct.
Yeah.
Yeah. But we don't say that's not from
the.
Inshallah, brother. The more we gain to the
book, the more we talk about it, inshallah,
the more we understand and the more we
learn better.
And probably we discuss it after.
Yeah. Tell me a lesson.
Yeah. By ignorance. Yeah. But they are still
continuing and they do not repent. Mhmm. They
are
No. You know, if a person if a
person commits shirk, okay, he doesn't
I mean, he nullifies Islam in a
Okay, brother. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Basically,
if the person commits,
shirk, just just nullify the Islam.
Because
what does it mean?
That you testify that no one has the
right to be worshiped except Allah. This person
now is worshiping Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala something
else.
This nullifies
his Okay? But he has to make tawba.
This person has to make tawba in his
lifetime.
Then Allah
He will forgive him.
But the is the condition he has to
make tawba.
Okay. Basically, you're trying to say that the
guy has been brought up
by his
men committing shirk and it's the same time
as a Muslim. For example, going
to going to
Okay? He uses that the Quran has been
basically conveyed to the people.
You find that the Quran is between everyone.
And you find basic
hadith, basic ayat,
okay,
related to these affairs. For example, not to
go to a grave, to go to a
grave, and to worship Allah. If you was
to open the Quran, it would be very
very clear.
Especially if a person is reading the Quran
daily.
And at the same time he's doing it,
Haduk Shali.
You know, he could fall under this, that,
you know, the
and he he falls into the, onto the,
yeah, The the proofs have already been established
to him. You know?
Okay. Yeah. That's very good point. The prophet
mentioned the Hadith, the Hadith, the prophet
told it's
mad. It was mad. They told him,
man,
Right.
Okay.
That the right upon the person is to
worship
Allah and not commit shirk.
Then he will enter into Jannah.
So the Sahabi said, shall we not tell
you inform the people?
No. He said to him, don't inform the
people. They'll become very, very,
complacent.
I mean, if I tell the people now,
if you commit to aid, you perform to
aid, you're gonna enter into Jannah. Some people
might say, now what? I'm gonna say
and I'm gonna do whatever I want. I'm
gonna enter into Jannah.
So he leave of what many of the
actions of the deen. Again, he becomes very,
very complacent,
and, yeah, he you find him becoming very,
very lenient in other affairs.
Okay?
So some of these hadith, even Imam Bukhari,
he mentioned this in the Sahih.
Whoever selected some knowledge
to some people,
fearing they won't understand.
Some people, you can discuss some things with
them, and they will understand. Some people, they
won't. If I tell this hadith to some
people, they're gonna say, what?
I believe in Allah. I believe
in Get it? They're gonna get very, very
complacent,
and they're gonna do whatever they want.
So this is why some of the ulama,
and likewise the prophet also, he told Mu'ad
not to tell the people,
fearing they're gonna become very, very complacent. So
you try to select some of these affairs
to only some people,
fearing they won't understand properly.
Did you get it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Please, could you explain the position of free
will regarding her hadith
of
and the statements the pens have been lifted
and the pages have died? Okay. You know
the prophet
Allah has wrote written,
Okay?
That the preordained decree.
50
Before he created the heavens and earth by
50,000 years.
Okay?
This hadith, if you look at the end
of the hadith, he said, if all the
people were to come together in order to
hurt you or try to do something to
you, they will not be able.
Except if Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala have decreed
this.
So, basically, everything that is going on, we
don't know what's going to happen tomorrow.
Okay? But Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala does.
All these things have already been decreed and
we do not know. And we can't stop
it as well. But at the same time,
a person has a will. Some people they
say Allah has already decreed for me that
I'm gonna commit today.
That's what they say.
Because why the decree is already written?
But the thing is at the same time
a person has a will.
He has a will to do things. You
don't know Allah has written.
For example, before he's going to a woman,
he's going to say Allah Allah's already written.
You don't know that. You know? Some people
they say
I'm a you know, I've been doing my
I'm going to
He says in the
Quran, From whoever from you, wills
to go on the straight path.
Allah affirms for him what? That he has
a will.
And whoever wills, he can remember, etcetera. So
a person has a will and at the
same time, everything has been decreed but a
person doesn't know what he has been decreed
and at the same time he has to
strive to do good
deeds.
Forgive me your brothers.
