00:01:15 --> 00:01:15
			Muhammadin

00:01:34 --> 00:01:36
			Dear respected brothers and sisters,

00:01:37 --> 00:01:39
			what I want to speak about today

00:01:39 --> 00:01:42
			is a matter that is very very crucial,

00:01:43 --> 00:01:44
			and very very important.

00:01:48 --> 00:01:49
			What it is basically,

00:01:51 --> 00:01:53
			It is the steps and the processes that

00:01:53 --> 00:01:54
			a person goes through,

00:01:55 --> 00:01:55
			Before

00:01:56 --> 00:01:58
			he ends up falling in a Matzah, which

00:01:58 --> 00:02:00
			is very very severe.

00:02:03 --> 00:02:05
			And this process and this step that I'm

00:02:05 --> 00:02:06
			talking about,

00:02:06 --> 00:02:07
			Is the thought,

00:02:08 --> 00:02:09
			the Surah Adhan,

00:02:09 --> 00:02:11
			the bad thought that a person has for

00:02:11 --> 00:02:12
			his brothers.

00:02:14 --> 00:02:16
			Because never ever does a person wake up

00:02:16 --> 00:02:17
			in the morning,

00:02:18 --> 00:02:20
			and he says something with his tongue,

00:02:20 --> 00:02:22
			and he hasn't preceded a thought.

00:02:23 --> 00:02:25
			That's why in order for us to

00:02:26 --> 00:02:29
			stop ourselves from falling into this major problem,

00:02:31 --> 00:02:32
			we have to try and cut out the

00:02:32 --> 00:02:33
			steps,

00:02:34 --> 00:02:36
			and the processes that a person that goes

00:02:36 --> 00:02:36
			through.

00:02:37 --> 00:02:40
			Because it can lead to a very, very

00:02:41 --> 00:02:44
			dangerous and severe matter. As the Prophet Sallallahu

00:02:44 --> 00:02:46
			Alaihi Wasallam told us about the tongue.

00:02:57 --> 00:03:00
			A man, he says something with his tongue.

00:03:03 --> 00:03:05
			He says a word with his tongue, and

00:03:05 --> 00:03:07
			he doesn't give any care to it.

00:03:08 --> 00:03:11
			And because of this what happens? He gets

00:03:11 --> 00:03:13
			chucked into the hellfire because of this one

00:03:13 --> 00:03:13
			word.

00:03:16 --> 00:03:17
			And the Hadith

00:03:18 --> 00:03:20
			that talk to us about the tongue are

00:03:20 --> 00:03:20
			many.

00:03:21 --> 00:03:23
			This is not the topic that I want

00:03:23 --> 00:03:23
			to

00:03:24 --> 00:03:26
			maybe speak about in detail today.

00:03:27 --> 00:03:30
			But it's a matter that is as important.

00:03:31 --> 00:03:33
			Because if a person stop this,

00:03:33 --> 00:03:36
			he's able to control that which comes out

00:03:36 --> 00:03:37
			of his tongue.

00:03:39 --> 00:03:41
			This matter Ikhwan ifillah that is related to

00:03:41 --> 00:03:42
			the

00:03:43 --> 00:03:44
			thoughts, the assumptions,

00:03:45 --> 00:03:46
			and also the speculations.

00:03:48 --> 00:03:50
			That person begins to

00:03:51 --> 00:03:52
			build matters upon

00:03:53 --> 00:03:53
			and rulings

00:03:54 --> 00:03:56
			due to his speculation and also the assumptions.

00:03:58 --> 00:04:00
			The prophet salallahu alaihi wa sallam warned us

00:04:00 --> 00:04:01
			about it.

00:04:02 --> 00:04:03
			And he told us to be aware.

00:04:04 --> 00:04:06
			It came in the hadith

00:04:06 --> 00:04:07
			in Sahih Muslim

00:04:07 --> 00:04:10
			on the authority of Abu Hurairat radiAllahu an.

00:04:11 --> 00:04:13
			That the Prophet Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said,

00:04:17 --> 00:04:18
			beware of the assumptions

00:04:19 --> 00:04:20
			and the thoughts.

00:04:23 --> 00:04:26
			For indeed the assumptions and the speculations

00:04:27 --> 00:04:28
			are from the worst

00:04:29 --> 00:04:30
			of the narrations.

00:04:32 --> 00:04:34
			The most fabricated of the narrations.

00:04:34 --> 00:04:36
			The thought that a person thinks about someone

00:04:36 --> 00:04:37
			else.

00:04:38 --> 00:04:40
			Also Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said in the

00:04:40 --> 00:04:40
			Quran,

00:04:43 --> 00:04:44
			O you who believe,

00:04:49 --> 00:04:51
			Stay away from the most

00:04:53 --> 00:04:54
			of the thoughts,

00:04:55 --> 00:04:56
			and the assumptions, the speculations

00:04:57 --> 00:04:59
			in the Ba'al al Bani I Islam.

00:04:59 --> 00:05:01
			For indeed some of these

00:05:01 --> 00:05:02
			thoughts,

00:05:03 --> 00:05:04
			is a sin.

00:05:05 --> 00:05:06
			In our Sharia,

00:05:06 --> 00:05:09
			we contemplate upon the Sharia, we find that

00:05:09 --> 00:05:10
			assumptions, speculations,

00:05:12 --> 00:05:14
			and opinion has no place in our religion.

00:05:16 --> 00:05:18
			Has absolute no place in our religion.

00:05:18 --> 00:05:20
			This is why Ilm, knowledge

00:05:21 --> 00:05:22
			and assumption and speculations,

00:05:23 --> 00:05:24
			they are complete opposites.

00:05:27 --> 00:05:29
			The is on one side and the assumptions

00:05:29 --> 00:05:30
			and the speculations on another side.

00:05:31 --> 00:05:33
			The food that goes through a person's head,

00:05:33 --> 00:05:34
			his opinion.

00:05:35 --> 00:05:37
			That's why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in

00:05:37 --> 00:05:38
			the Quran.

00:05:45 --> 00:05:47
			These people they follow

00:05:47 --> 00:05:48
			their opinion

00:05:48 --> 00:05:49
			and their assumptions.

00:05:50 --> 00:05:53
			For indeed the assumption and also their opinion,

00:05:56 --> 00:05:57
			It doesn't prevail over the half of the

00:05:57 --> 00:05:58
			truth.

00:05:59 --> 00:06:01
			And also Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in

00:06:01 --> 00:06:01
			the Quran,

00:06:03 --> 00:06:04
			say to them, O Muhammad

00:06:07 --> 00:06:08
			Say to them, O Muhammad,

00:06:09 --> 00:06:10
			do you have any knowledge that you can

00:06:10 --> 00:06:11
			show us?

00:06:15 --> 00:06:17
			Indeed you are only people that follow assumptions

00:06:17 --> 00:06:18
			and speculations.

00:06:22 --> 00:06:24
			And it's very very sorry to say,

00:06:24 --> 00:06:26
			Haz Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala mentioned in the

00:06:26 --> 00:06:27
			Quran,

00:06:28 --> 00:06:29
			and he is the most

00:06:30 --> 00:06:31
			truthful.

00:06:32 --> 00:06:34
			As Allah mentioned, The

00:06:36 --> 00:06:38
			majority of the people, they are people that

00:06:38 --> 00:06:40
			follow assumptions and speculations.

00:06:40 --> 00:06:41
			Allah

00:06:43 --> 00:06:43
			says,

00:06:45 --> 00:06:47
			The majority of the people, they only follow

00:06:47 --> 00:06:49
			speculations and assumptions.

00:06:51 --> 00:06:53
			So that's why if one if we like

00:06:53 --> 00:06:54
			it, it's very very important

00:06:55 --> 00:06:57
			that we try and assess this matter very

00:06:57 --> 00:06:57
			very well.

00:06:58 --> 00:07:00
			Because like I mentioned before,

00:07:02 --> 00:07:04
			it is always the result of a person

00:07:04 --> 00:07:05
			having bad thoughts,

00:07:05 --> 00:07:08
			he uses his tongue to speak badly about

00:07:08 --> 00:07:09
			another person,

00:07:09 --> 00:07:11
			or him he makes a ruling.

00:07:13 --> 00:07:15
			And because of this it could be the

00:07:15 --> 00:07:17
			reason why he gets shoved into the hellfire

00:07:17 --> 00:07:18
			because

00:07:18 --> 00:07:19
			of his bad thoughts.

00:07:20 --> 00:07:22
			And it's very important that I bring examples

00:07:22 --> 00:07:23
			now so that people understand.

00:07:26 --> 00:07:27
			With examples,

00:07:27 --> 00:07:29
			the speech becomes more clearer.

00:07:30 --> 00:07:32
			If you look in Surat Al Nur,

00:07:33 --> 00:07:34
			and contemplate

00:07:34 --> 00:07:37
			on the story of Aisha Radiallahu Anha.

00:07:38 --> 00:07:40
			Never did the matter become so big

00:07:41 --> 00:07:43
			and the chaos increase.

00:07:47 --> 00:07:48
			Except

00:07:48 --> 00:07:50
			because of some of the bad thoughts

00:07:52 --> 00:07:54
			and the speculations and the assumptions

00:07:56 --> 00:07:57
			that some had about her.

00:07:57 --> 00:07:59
			And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:08:01 --> 00:08:02
			He addressed this,

00:08:03 --> 00:08:05
			and he spoke about those

00:08:06 --> 00:08:08
			that had bad thought about Aisha radhiallahu anha,

00:08:09 --> 00:08:10
			in a severe manner.

00:08:11 --> 00:08:13
			We're not talking about the people that spread

00:08:13 --> 00:08:15
			their lies. They even worse. We're talking about

00:08:15 --> 00:08:16
			the people

00:08:17 --> 00:08:19
			that only had the bad thought enter into

00:08:19 --> 00:08:20
			their heads.

00:08:21 --> 00:08:23
			They only thought negative about that.

00:08:24 --> 00:08:26
			And Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala he sent down

00:08:27 --> 00:08:28
			Allah

00:08:32 --> 00:08:33
			says,

00:08:40 --> 00:08:41
			Why is it,

00:08:41 --> 00:08:43
			when you had these message,

00:08:44 --> 00:08:45
			about the believing

00:08:49 --> 00:08:51
			people. You never thought good about them.

00:08:53 --> 00:08:54
			And why do you say,

00:08:56 --> 00:08:57
			This is a click of light.

00:08:58 --> 00:08:59
			Why do you say this?

00:09:00 --> 00:09:02
			Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is talking about those

00:09:02 --> 00:09:04
			who had bad thoughts, that bad thoughts entered

00:09:04 --> 00:09:05
			into their heads.

00:09:07 --> 00:09:09
			Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala also then goes on

00:09:09 --> 00:09:10
			to say,

00:09:16 --> 00:09:17
			And why did you not?

00:09:18 --> 00:09:19
			Why is it not?

00:09:20 --> 00:09:21
			Why did you not say?

00:09:26 --> 00:09:27
			This is not from the affairs

00:09:27 --> 00:09:30
			that is suitable for us to speak about.

00:09:35 --> 00:09:38
			Here Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala is addressing

00:09:38 --> 00:09:42
			those people who fought Badaba Aisha radiAllahu anha.

00:09:42 --> 00:09:43
			Ibn Kathir, he mentions

00:09:43 --> 00:09:45
			that this is further discipline.

00:09:46 --> 00:09:47
			This is further discipline.

00:09:49 --> 00:09:49
			In addition

00:09:50 --> 00:09:52
			to the good thought a person needs to

00:09:52 --> 00:09:53
			have about the people,

00:09:53 --> 00:09:55
			That when there is someone that is known

00:09:55 --> 00:09:56
			to be upon good,

00:09:57 --> 00:09:57
			that

00:09:58 --> 00:10:00
			he doesn't allow

00:10:00 --> 00:10:03
			the bad thought to take over him

00:10:03 --> 00:10:05
			in thinking about this person.

00:10:07 --> 00:10:09
			Further discipline he says, further discipline.

00:10:12 --> 00:10:14
			Allah azza wa Jal even says,

00:10:21 --> 00:10:23
			And when you said this with your tongue,

00:10:25 --> 00:10:26
			and your mouth,

00:10:27 --> 00:10:29
			that which you don't have any knowledge about,

00:10:34 --> 00:10:36
			You see it to be something very small,

00:10:36 --> 00:10:38
			but with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala something

00:10:42 --> 00:10:43
			Another example Ikhwan.

00:10:44 --> 00:10:46
			The story of Usam ibn Zayed.

00:10:46 --> 00:10:48
			Usam ibn Zayed,

00:10:48 --> 00:10:49
			what happened?

00:10:49 --> 00:10:52
			When he killed a man who said

00:10:52 --> 00:10:53
			He killed him.

00:10:55 --> 00:10:57
			So the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam,

00:10:58 --> 00:11:00
			became really really angry. He became really really

00:11:00 --> 00:11:03
			angry, and he kept on repeating to him,

00:11:03 --> 00:11:04
			did you kill a person? I said

00:11:05 --> 00:11:06
			He said,

00:11:08 --> 00:11:10
			He only said it because he was scared

00:11:10 --> 00:11:10
			of

00:11:11 --> 00:11:11
			the

00:11:12 --> 00:11:12
			And the prophet

00:11:13 --> 00:11:14
			started saying,

00:11:18 --> 00:11:21
			I free myself from that which Usam bin

00:11:21 --> 00:11:23
			Nazeid did. He had bad thought about him.

00:11:26 --> 00:11:28
			Another example, Ikwani.

00:11:29 --> 00:11:31
			Is when a person he loses something,

00:11:32 --> 00:11:34
			or something gets stolen from him.

00:11:37 --> 00:11:38
			The Somali people they have

00:11:39 --> 00:11:39
			a saying,

00:11:41 --> 00:11:42
			saying,

00:11:44 --> 00:11:46
			The one that was stolen from,

00:11:46 --> 00:11:48
			his sin is more worse, and he falls

00:11:48 --> 00:11:50
			into more sin than the one that actually

00:11:50 --> 00:11:51
			stole.

00:11:51 --> 00:11:52
			Why?

00:11:52 --> 00:11:54
			This one he stole, maybe he fell into

00:11:54 --> 00:11:55
			one major sin.

00:11:55 --> 00:11:57
			By the way, Muhammad told me this.

00:11:59 --> 00:12:01
			And the one that was stolen from, he

00:12:01 --> 00:12:03
			doesn't know who he is, so he spreads

00:12:03 --> 00:12:06
			lies, he doesn't know mima, he accuses this

00:12:06 --> 00:12:08
			one, he says this about this one. He

00:12:08 --> 00:12:11
			might fall into 5 6 different major sins.

00:12:13 --> 00:12:15
			So this person ends up selling more than

00:12:15 --> 00:12:17
			the one that actually stole it.

00:12:19 --> 00:12:20
			Is true.

00:12:20 --> 00:12:22
			And then what did he say?

00:12:23 --> 00:12:25
			After his assumption maybe becomes clear.

00:12:26 --> 00:12:28
			Didn't I tell you? Didn't I tell you

00:12:28 --> 00:12:28
			this?

00:12:30 --> 00:12:31
			Wasn't I correct?

00:12:32 --> 00:12:34
			It was actually him that done it.

00:12:36 --> 00:12:38
			Rather the assumption even if you are correct,

00:12:38 --> 00:12:40
			you're not getting an extra bonus. You're not

00:12:40 --> 00:12:43
			getting reward for being correct in your assumption.

00:12:44 --> 00:12:45
			Bakr ibn Abdul Muzani,

00:12:46 --> 00:12:47
			what did he say? He goes,

00:12:50 --> 00:12:51
			Beware of that kind of speech.

00:12:53 --> 00:12:54
			Hey, which kind of speech?

00:12:58 --> 00:13:00
			If he was to be correct in that

00:13:00 --> 00:13:02
			assumption, that thing that you say, you don't

00:13:02 --> 00:13:03
			get rewarded.

00:13:06 --> 00:13:08
			And if you used to now be incorrect,

00:13:09 --> 00:13:10
			you get sin.

00:13:11 --> 00:13:12
			Bad thought for the Muslims.

00:13:32 --> 00:13:33
			Another example.

00:13:34 --> 00:13:36
			We find sometimes when a man speaks,

00:13:37 --> 00:13:38
			when a man speaks,

00:13:39 --> 00:13:40
			a person that is known to be upon

00:13:40 --> 00:13:41
			good,

00:13:42 --> 00:13:45
			a slip of a tongue, he maybe says

00:13:45 --> 00:13:46
			something about the sahabi

00:13:47 --> 00:13:48
			after mistake.

00:13:49 --> 00:13:51
			The people you find they try to get

00:13:51 --> 00:13:53
			what he said, and they try to give

00:13:53 --> 00:13:55
			it the worst mammal ever.

00:13:57 --> 00:13:59
			They try to give it his worst meaning.

00:14:00 --> 00:14:02
			This is also against what the salif. The

00:14:02 --> 00:14:05
			Sahabir eduannullahi alayhi used to say,

00:14:07 --> 00:14:08
			What did he say?

00:14:15 --> 00:14:17
			Do not think of a speech that was

00:14:17 --> 00:14:18
			said by your brother

00:14:20 --> 00:14:21
			to be something bad.

00:14:25 --> 00:14:27
			And you're able to give a good meaning.

00:14:27 --> 00:14:29
			Maybe this person here had a slip of

00:14:29 --> 00:14:29
			a tongue,

00:14:30 --> 00:14:31
			or he says something.

00:14:32 --> 00:14:33
			As we all know the famous hadith,

00:14:34 --> 00:14:36
			the man that lost his camel, what did

00:14:36 --> 00:14:36
			he say?

00:14:39 --> 00:14:41
			He said, O Allah, you are my slave,

00:14:41 --> 00:14:42
			and I'm

00:14:42 --> 00:14:43
			your

00:14:44 --> 00:14:44
			Lord.

00:14:45 --> 00:14:47
			He said the worst thing why he done

00:14:47 --> 00:14:48
			it out of severe happiness?

00:14:48 --> 00:14:49
			The

00:14:51 --> 00:14:51
			prophet

00:14:53 --> 00:14:55
			said. He fell into mistake due to severe

00:14:55 --> 00:14:56
			happiness.

00:14:56 --> 00:14:59
			The matter in order to resolve it, might

00:14:59 --> 00:15:00
			be a few minutes. You go after the

00:15:00 --> 00:15:03
			person and you explain to him, you clarify

00:15:03 --> 00:15:04
			to him what he said,

00:15:04 --> 00:15:05
			and then he takes it back.

00:15:06 --> 00:15:08
			But today we have people, they take this.

00:15:09 --> 00:15:10
			They put it all over the internet.

00:15:11 --> 00:15:13
			It gets translated into French, into Somali,

00:15:14 --> 00:15:15
			into Indonesian,

00:15:15 --> 00:15:17
			into every single language in order to expose

00:15:17 --> 00:15:18
			this person.

00:15:21 --> 00:15:24
			So it's upon us to contemplate upon these

00:15:24 --> 00:15:24
			matters

00:15:25 --> 00:15:27
			and to be very, very careful about it.

00:15:28 --> 00:15:29
			The other

00:15:29 --> 00:15:31
			day, someone came up to me and he

00:15:31 --> 00:15:33
			said to me, There's a Masjid over there

00:15:33 --> 00:15:36
			who has leaflets in there, they have shirk.

00:15:37 --> 00:15:38
			Shirky leafless in there.

00:15:39 --> 00:15:41
			I know the Masjid, this is just a

00:15:41 --> 00:15:42
			personal experience.

00:15:43 --> 00:15:44
			This man he is swearing,

00:15:45 --> 00:15:48
			he's spreading, he's accusing, he's saying all sorts

00:15:48 --> 00:15:49
			of matters.

00:15:50 --> 00:15:52
			Having bad thoughts,

00:15:52 --> 00:15:54
			I said to Makhi, maybe someone on a

00:15:54 --> 00:15:56
			Jummah came and he left there. Let's phone

00:15:56 --> 00:15:58
			them and let's explain to them. You stop

00:15:58 --> 00:15:59
			sinning.

00:16:00 --> 00:16:02
			We go into the Masjid, we will enter

00:16:02 --> 00:16:03
			to pray the Maghrib,

00:16:03 --> 00:16:06
			the leafless of one. The whole point is

00:16:06 --> 00:16:08
			not to expose this individual,

00:16:08 --> 00:16:09
			rather to

00:16:11 --> 00:16:13
			assess the matter and think to yourself,

00:16:13 --> 00:16:16
			why didn't this person just keep quiet?

00:16:17 --> 00:16:19
			Until the issue became clear cut to him.

00:16:21 --> 00:16:23
			Rather he sinned and he fell into all

00:16:23 --> 00:16:24
			sorts of matters.

00:16:24 --> 00:16:27
			When he could have just gone and advised

00:16:27 --> 00:16:27
			this individual,

00:16:28 --> 00:16:30
			or maybe had better thoughts in regards to

00:16:30 --> 00:16:31
			the matter.

00:16:32 --> 00:16:33
			So the last thing,

00:16:33 --> 00:16:34
			what I'm gonna do?

00:16:35 --> 00:16:38
			Because every sickness, there has to be a

00:16:38 --> 00:16:38
			medicine.

00:16:39 --> 00:16:41
			How do we go about changing this matter?

00:16:41 --> 00:16:42
			How do we resolve it?

00:16:43 --> 00:16:44
			Because the Shaitan,

00:16:47 --> 00:16:49
			the Shaitan is running through Aman.

00:16:50 --> 00:16:52
			Like the blood does through a person. Very,

00:16:52 --> 00:16:54
			very close to him, always whispering in his

00:16:54 --> 00:16:54
			ears.

00:16:57 --> 00:16:59
			What does a person do? As they say

00:16:59 --> 00:17:01
			in the English language, a person

00:17:02 --> 00:17:04
			needs to think before he speaks.

00:17:05 --> 00:17:05
			Even the prophet

00:17:06 --> 00:17:07
			said,

00:17:10 --> 00:17:12
			Whoever believes in Allah in the last day,

00:17:12 --> 00:17:13
			either

00:17:14 --> 00:17:15
			speak or keep quiet.

00:17:16 --> 00:17:18
			If the shaytan comes and whispers in your

00:17:18 --> 00:17:20
			ear, it's upon you to do what? Just

00:17:20 --> 00:17:21
			to keep quiet.

00:17:22 --> 00:17:23
			And you are forgiven.

00:17:25 --> 00:17:27
			As the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said,

00:17:35 --> 00:17:36
			Allah forgives

00:17:36 --> 00:17:38
			the one that has bad thought,

00:17:38 --> 00:17:41
			as long as he doesn't speak or act.

00:17:43 --> 00:17:45
			So as long as you prevent yourself from

00:17:45 --> 00:17:46
			actually doing the action,

00:17:47 --> 00:17:49
			and you just keep it in your head

00:17:49 --> 00:17:52
			without speaking, without spreading, without accusing,

00:17:52 --> 00:17:53
			you are forgiven.

00:17:54 --> 00:17:56
			We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:17:56 --> 00:17:58
			to make us have good thoughts for our

00:17:58 --> 00:17:59
			Muslim brothers,

00:17:59 --> 00:18:01
			and to stay away from the

00:18:02 --> 00:18:04
			having bad thoughts for our Muslim brothers,

00:18:05 --> 00:18:06
			and save us from the * fire.
