My dear brothers and sisters,
the events, in the last few days have
taken a turn for the worse,
based on a number of, different misconceptions
and a number of other causes.
Our job with all that's going on with
the far right
attacking various different Muslim communities, migrants, masjids, and
so on,
is that we need to be really, really
careful about this. A lot of it is
based on on, foolishness,
misunderstanding,
and
the the only worst thing could be that
we also act foolish,
based on somebody else's foolishness.
Alhamdulillah,
there's a lot of good sentiment that is
with the Muslim community, and there's a lot
of people, Masha'Allah,
our non Muslim brothers and sisters who are
people of various different faiths coming out to
support and defend
Muslim places of worship,
Now that's why it's very important that we
keep that in focus,
and we don't overreact.
Alhamdulillah, it seems like the, the police are
also trying to do their best. Of course,
there will be cases where,
they may not be able to, do their
best or be there in time or even
be present. So of course, Muslims are brave
people at heart, and we don't wanna cause
any problems, but,
we definitely have to defend our interests. We
have to defend our Masajid. We have to
defend our properties, and things like that. So
inshallah, that bravery is there, but we just
don't want anybody to mislead us, and to
take this and use this to literally
get it against the Muslim,
and
give the media a good time to essentially
take the sympathy
away from,
you being in favor of us to being
anti Muslim by just a few
silly people doing something crazy, unwanted, unwarranted,
and then after that they will just smear
the Muslims. So we have to be very,
very careful about that. They have to remember
that these rights riots that we have are
caused by a lot of ignorance, spurious information,
fabricated lies,
fear mongering. It's been years since that that
has been happening. So it's all coming to
a head based on, you know, events that
had nothing to do with Muslims. Now what
what we have to remember is that Muslims
are supposed to be people of akhlaq,
character, good conduct. Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, that's
why he came
to, to complete good character.
Nobody's gonna read our books, or the Hadith,
or the Quran translation, they're gonna look at
us as Muslims. That's why it's very important
that the true test of our khalaq and
character, you have to remember is,
when we have the power to offend,
yet we show restraint and mercy.
Right? So that is very important for us
to think about, so don't go around, you
know, just getting some lone person who's not
doing anything, breaking
windows of a pop or attacking people random,
that's just completely wrong. This is not a
free for all. This is not a time
to become a gangster. Muslims are not gangsters,
so that's why don't wear masks, for example.
These are usually worn by gangsters, people who
wanna hide themselves.
Right? Who don't wanna be seen because they're
doing something wrong. We're not doing anything wrong.
So, you know, if if you have to
be there to defend something, to stand your
ground,
then do it with all complete, you know,
honesty, complete dignity, complete
honor, and don't have, you know, don't go
into the cliched
ideas of, you know, what it means to
be a gangster and so on. So inshallah,
we expect inshallah, the right, the people, the
authorities, the politicians, etc, to do something,
and, may Allah, you know, allow that to
happen,
may Allah
allow that to happen, but we do not,
encourage any kind of vigilantism,
that's just not what it is. But again,
Insha'Allah, you know, we can do what is
right.
Finally, I think it's very very important to
understand that, ultimately,
only Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala can help. He's
the one who enables
whatever it is that happens in this world.
So what's very important for us is that
our Rujoo, which means our
turning, has to be to Allah
because ultimately, he's the one who can do
everything for us.
So we turn to Allah
do abundant Istighfar.
Istighfar means seeking forgiveness for our wrongs. We
all have some wrongs, may Allah forgive us,
and may Allah forgive us, so that the
mercy can come down, the mercy can come
down.
And go go to the masajid, you know,
let us pray more in the masajid. Right?
There is more in the masajid, that's the
best way to, inshallah, take care of this
as well, along with doing all the right
things. We turn to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
we do everything practical. JazakAllah, sorry if there's
some background sound here. I'm in Scotland right
now. I had a, you know, I had,
some lectures to do here, etcetera. So I'm
in Scotland,
on the coast here. That's why there's a
lot of noise of seagulls and so on.
Allah bless
you all.
