Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf Mangera – The Power of Dua and Istighfar

Allah says in Surah Al-Ghafir, Allah says

وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ Your Lord says,

call upon me and I will respond to

you.

So first is dua.

Of course, you try, but you do dua.

And number two, you do abundant istighfar because

istighfar, removal of sins, seeking forgiveness for sins

opens up the pathway, the blockage.

It removes the blockage, it removes hindrances, it

removes the obstacles.

And maybe it's something in our life we

don't know.

We just want to eliminate all obstacles.

So do lots of istighfar because this is

to do istighfar, as has been mentioned in

the Quran, is actually the source of gaining

huge rewards.

Person came to Hassan Basri, I can't have

children.

He says, استغفر الله, seek forgiveness in Allah.

Because Allah says in Surah Nuh, فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا

رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا

وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَانٍ وَبَنِينٍ And it carries on.

Seek forgiveness from your Lord because He is

the Oft-Forgiving.
