Salam Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Jazak Allah here and
welcome back to 15th the 15th lesson of our course on the
Illumina Quran the sciences of the Quran. So inshallah we start off
with some Quran are all the will him in a shape on Raji me

ala so you didn't mousseline while the he was so happy about it was
seldom at the Sleeman Kathira on Eli Yomi Dean and bird today is a
very interesting discussion that I personally found very interesting.
And this is that how the Quran the Quran and the way the various
different sutras begin, is there anything unique about that, in
fact, not just the scholars, but how the Quran begins with certain
Fatiha and then the beginning of each surah and then the ending of
it surah is there anything special about that? Now everything about
the Quran is special. So the scholars have looked at that as
well. The call is in Arabic You call this the flower, the flower
to soar, the flower to flower, it refers to certain Fatiha sorry,
flower, it refers to the beginnings of sewers, okay, for
what it refers to the beginning of sewers. And
what we're going to discuss is hustle if data Hill kalam the
concept of excellent beginnings. So in all kinds of literature in
all kinds of writing, there is this attempt, you know, for
successful writing, good writing beautiful writing, there is always
in good writing, there's generally
a, an effort to try to produce the best type of writing to produce a
writing that is impactful. That is that provides a good intro
introduction that is attractive, that will keep the reader engaged.
That's the idea. So you call that person if theta Hill color if
theta Hill Kalam and that is all part of effective speech. So what
you want to do is when you start speaking, or when you want to
start writing, then you start off with a bang, you start off with
something that's going to keep the attention of the people, does the
Quran do that or not. And the reason why this is important is
because the first thing that's going to get to the ear or the eye
of a person who's reading or listening is obviously the
beginning. So the beginning has to be impactful. And clearly the
Quran which is supposed to be extremely effective speech, in
fact, the most effective speech, probably known to man known to
man, that obviously what it does is that it provides very, very
effective beginnings. So the Quran does provide very, very effective
beginnings. And in terms of that,
it's so the, the whole point of it is to engage the whole point of
the Quran is to engage the people to ask them questions and to get
them to think and so on. So the orlimar of Bulava dilemma of
rhetoric, the rhythm of rhetoric and effective speech and so on the
scholars of that subject the experts in this subjects of this
skill, they talk about the Quran definitely having that and what
we're going to look at is just some of the ways that Allah
subhanaw taala begins the service. And while we look at that, while
we look at that, we're also going to be looking at the hood of mocha
Tara, I think it was yesterday, where we discussed some of the
hood of mocha Tadalafil ah memes and Elif Lam Ross, what's their
purpose, I gave you some brief understanding of them today. We'll
look at that a bit more. Some of the other views about that because
that is obviously part of the beginning of a surah. You know,
the surah is that's what they begin with the calf and then on
the side, they begin with that. So that all comes under this this
discussion of the surah openings, right? So that's what we're going
to be talking about today. The Surah openings and what is so
special about the way the surah is open up in the Quran.
There's a concept in Arabic called brothel is the halal is the halal
refers to looking for the moon looking for an opening looking for
the beginning of the new month is the halal that's where the word
come from is
Say hello and looking for the moon. In this case Bara means
skillful, elegant, beautiful, amazing. So but our title is The
Hillard means the skillful opening. So they've actually got a
term for this in Arabic literature called the skillful opening.
Whenever you start a story, start with a bang, you know, start with
effect. So the skillful opening an introduction, not just a skillful
opening, it's not fake, it should not be fake, it should not be just
something to capture somebody. And then when they actually carry on
reading, it's an anticlimax. That's not the purpose of a
skillful opening, the purpose of the skillful opening is that it
also provides an introduction, right, it's an introduction, which
also includes an allusion to the main theme of the surah the main
theme of the work that you're doing, it's, it provides an
illusion as a signification a kind of indication towards what the
theme of the entire piece of work that you're doing is going to be.
And that's exactly what the Quran does, in a very, very beautiful
way. Now, this is such a vast subject, that there are many many
scholars who have actually
discussed this and debated this and you know, done a lot of work
on this right there's lots of books on this subject on the
beautiful openings of the sewers. There's lots of books on this
subject. And for example, if we just take a quick survey of the
sewers you'll find that many of them they start off with
Alhamdulillah meaning Hand of Allah praise of Allah then there's
others which start from the SP right Subhan Allah these are the
Musa then we've got a number of others quite a few that start off
right think about it that start off with oaths of worship see what
the ha ha Well, Lady either Yoshida right what do ha there's
just so many well idea dub ha, well, more Salah your OLFA. Many
of those were the words were at the beginning, which is the word
use for an oath by you know, the morning by the by the night. This
is so many starts with an oath, an oath is there for emphasis, right
so when you start off something with an oath that Allah he this is
where it's going to be. You can see how you're emphasizing
something and you're creating a major emphasis. Then after that,
there are some others we start off with an address to someone a call
to someone here are you hold my breath here? Oh, wrapped up. Oh,
one who is wrapped up? Yeah, uh, you hold Muslim mil? Right? Yeah,
uh, you're Latina. And oh, people who believe you have nurse? Oh,
people in general. Right. So that's Nida. You call that in
Arabic. Then there's others that start off with a command. Right?
There's some sort of further command. I'll give you examples of
all of these. Then there's others that start off with a,
a,
what you would call a,
a noun, a sentence,
a full sentence of just an informative sentence. And then
there's others which start off with the whole food diet G, which
means the Elif la mean, the whole of Macatawa essentially, starts
off with just letters. And then there's actually some that starts
off with
conditions. And then a consequence, like if this when
this and then there's some which actually started with just pure
questions. Hello, Insanity Hino minute, daddy Lim, you can check
them with Cora. There's others that start off with a dua or a
curse for that matter. And then there's others that start off with
a reason. So inshallah we'll look at some of those in sha Allah.
Now.
Yeah, let's look at some of those first before we move into the
horror of Taiji, or the horror of mottaret Horovod dajia.
Essentially, the names of the letters of the Arabic alphabet.
That's what you call holdover. Taiji Alif, bad data, who, who
wrote the Hedgy, they call Macatawa. Because they just
disparate separate letters. That's why they call that now.
Let's start off with the way the Quran begins as soon as an ends a
surah. Then we move on to the LF law memes and those. So there are
a number of scholars have actually written books on this subject. For
example, ignore obey,
ignore obey and SBIRT. He's got a book called Al Hawa. 07 v SRL, 40.
This is really interesting. The these are thoughts on the secrets
of the openings of the Quran, the openings of the sutras, right. So
Imams to UT he takes this discussion and he says, Well, I'm
going to do is, I will
tell you that Allah subhanho wa Taala starts of the sutras with
approximately 10 different types of openings. And I think he says
that it is only 10 different types of openings, there are no more
than 10 Like you can take all the different openings the way the
sewers begin, and they are going to be 10 categories. And I'll just
give you an example of all of them quickly. The first one he says is
the praise and Allah Allah starts with prayer.
is and the praises obviously, of two types. One praise is where you
actually say how good someone is or something is where you praise
them for some qualities. The second is where you remove from
them some defects that somebody may be trying to attribute to them
and you try to purify that you do 10 Z, you show their transcendence
that they're not like this. So there's two ways appraising
somebody's saying he's not like that. He's not a bad guy, that
means you're praising him, or he's a very good guy. That means you're
praising him, but there are two different types of praise that are
going on. So the first is Allah subhanaw taala starts with pure
Alhambra that meet in five sewers, right.
That is sortal Fatiha Al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen SOTL, Anam,
Surah Tolka, half Surah to Sabah and Surah 240. These are the
sewers in which is just pure Al hamdu. Okay, then.
Then Allah subhanaw taala starts with a different type of praise.
Bless it is He that is in two sources. That's the Tabarrok
source, the baraka, Lady via the hill milk, that blessing is the
one in whose hand is all the possession. So that is how it will
work. And you know, the other sort of way Allah started with Tabarak,
the baraka Latinas zeal for Karna IBD Helia, Kunal and I mean,
another Euro, that sort of tool for con, right so you got two
swords, then
the second type of praise which is where you're purifying someone and
showing their transcendence and glorifying them by showing that
they're pure, that is in the Musa Behat that is in seven soldiers,
this is all of your Subhan Allah He you said behold Allah, He sub
Bhisma. So all of those so that in that is quite a few suitors as you
know. Now.
Imam Khomeini says in his book called moto shall behold Quran
right? He says
that this B is a very specific term that Allah subhanaw taala has
preferred for himself, right he uses for himself and that's why he
starts off
in Surratt, Bani Israel, right?
He starts off, what's the beginning of sort of Bani Israel
Subhan Allah the Astra so Subhan is actually the verbal noun of the
C sub Han, right sub Bhisma. A sub Baja is the past tense u sub b Who
is the present or future tense. Sabir is the command of that same
word, but sub Han is actually the verbal non from where all of the
other words come. So Allah subhanaw taala starts from insert
Bani Israel with Subhan because that's the first one right? That's
the first one that's really interesting. There are two one of
them somebody had the first one is Surah, Bani Israel, certainly
Israel and he starts off with the verbal noun showing that this is
where it's all going to come from. Then after that, he uses the past
tense in certain Hadid, in certain hasher and sort of stuff. So it's
sub Balilla, that sub Balilla he might be somehow it without those
inhabitants have praised Allah in the past tense. Then
Then after that, he uses the present and future tense the
present tense in Serato Jumuah answer to Turabian. Right. So u
sub beho. They glorify Him, they are glorifying him. Right. Then
after that, Allah subhanaw taala in one of the last ones, which is
submit his mambukal Allah that's the last of those of Behat Allah
uses the command like, Okay, now you praise him. So he starts off
with all praise, then he starts off with they have praised him,
then it's they are praising him, you said Bill is praising him
right in the present tense. And now the last one is, you praise
Him.
So mashallah the concept of glorification is done in the past
is done in the present, it's done. That command for it is done. And
also the original part, which was the verbal noun was mentioned.
Right. The second type, which we're going to talk about in
detail later on the way Allah subhanaw taala starts up the
sewers is with the whole roof with the Hedgy. We will discuss that
later. So leave that for now. The third one is the NIDA where Allah
subhanaw taala calls on to something so that is in tenseless
intensa is of the Quran. Five of them are calling the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sortal ASVAB so to Talak yah Johanna BU,
right yeah un Nabi Ulema to haram Surah to Tarim. Certain Muslim
media, you will Muslim men, so it will Modesitt Yeah, you heard with
death here. So in five of them, it's calling the Prophet salallahu
Salam Yeah, you had an a BU yah, yah. Yah, yah. Yah, yah, even
wisdom. And how does fertilizer begin? Yeah. Are you gonna be your
tequila? Yeah, you wanna be you Oh Prophet and sort of the Talaq Lim
A limited luck to win either to luck to win this so again see you
in the video. Then after that you've got five of them where
Allah subhanaw taala is going to call the OMA in general and that
is yeah, you're nice. Sorry insert Anissa you've got your NAS with
Dakota Bakula? The Hala cocoa ministry why? Certain certain
hedge certain who gerat Certain Medina, right? So all Montana, all
of these were Allah subhanaw taala calls to the people.
The fourth category of beginning that you'll find in the Quran,
informative sentences, they just regular sentence because you know,
when I say I call on to you, that's not an informative
sentence. That's not what you call in Arabic a Joomla herbaria.
Right, which is just informed me of some it's actually a call,
right? Likewise the other one which was about the speed, right,
you could actually put them into the same category, but no, this is
different category. These are yes, Illumina can
they ask you about the spoils of war circle and fund Bara to mean
Allah He was a SULI This is an exoneration from Allah, and His
Messenger, so the Toba Amarula he further the strategy to the the
Command of your Lord or the matter of your Lord has come to pass
that's in order to Nahal a Katara Bellina see haisa Boom. People the
reckoning for people has come close certain Ambia certain won't
be known you've got called a flat minnow and I just read that
earlier called after the helmet. We know the believers are very
successful. Then we've got sort of two newer starts with Surah Zelina
This is a Surah that we have revealed is informative sentence.
So at the Zoomer the role kita be the
zero Kitab This is the revealing of the book, then you've gotten
sort of to Mohammed sweater Muhammad is really interesting the
way it began so to Muhammad is also called sort Rokita all right
for those of you who
it's in 26 Jews Lavina Cafaro Assad do sabe de la he Abdullah
murder home it starts off like that Alladhina Cafaro was a dancer
Billahi those who disbelieve and who prevent people from the Path
of Allah. Right for $1 Imam their actions have gone to do nothing.
They actions have gone to waste, that's how it begins. Then you've
got sorted to fit in Fattah Hannah like a fat ham Albina
we've given the clear victory. That's central fat, then you've
got sort of Palmer Katara but is it when Shakalaka
right, the day of judgment the moment the last hour the final has
become close and the moon has been split. So it's an information
again, then we've got sort of the ramen ramen or I lemon Quran holla
Collinson, right? The Most Merciful One who taught Allah Al
Quran who taught the book, the Quran, then you've got certain
moja called a semi Allah Who CO will ality to jadie Luca Fiza.
Will Jihad this is really interesting beginning it's very
unique, called semi Allahu COVID. ality to jadie Luca Fiza. Allah
subhanaw taala has heard that statement of the one that was that
was debating with you regarding her husband, and there's a suburb
in Missoula for that. Right? A woman came to the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wasallam with a certain question versa and said,
Do this, but then Allah subhanaw taala reveal, and that's what
Allah is mentioning that Allah has heard your discourse with her,
then source will have Allah that's a very powerful one. I'll go to my
bottom one, the rock and metal
and how can means the inevitable event. Then, in spiritual
marriage. You've got the others. You
work there, a questioner is asking has asked about the occurrence of
the punishment that's informative. So to know, in Barcelona and
Wuhan, we sent new headaches around, then you've got sort of
OPM sorted by the local scene will be oxime luxon will be handled by
the Luxembourg formula pm although that can be put into office as
well. Then you've got sort of two Ibis or what then you've got sort
of terracotta in unzila, who field a that will cover, right? We
reveal this in the Night of Qadr. Then you've got sorted by here and
let me accordion Lydian okay for Roman al Kitab, Yama Shekinah, one
for Kena hat had to do one but you know, then you've got cardio, then
you've got her coma, MacArthur, right? Abundance has caused you to
become negligent, then you've got spiritual co author in the inner
circle co author, right? We have given you the co author, right,
and that is now 30 Sorry, 23 Saurus that start off with 23
stories. Start off with an informative opening. Number five
are the offs now these are really interesting.
We may get a chance later on to actually discuss this in more
detail about the, the place of oaths in the Quran how they use
but today I'll just talk about the 15 Saudis in the Quran, right that
started with oaths and inshallah you will start noticing this now
when you start reading Quran for yourself so there's one sort of
ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada
okay takes an oath with the angels and that is a saw to solve the
soft, fuzzy jurati cetera then after that you've got two students
where Allah subhanaw taala takes an oath with the stars that is
was summer either till borouge Right. What and then you got what
was summer? Sorry it was summer it was Tarik right was summer either
till bulusan was summer, Tarik, then you got six tours that
discuss other aspects of the solar system when najem right when najem
that is obviously taking us an oath with the Pleiades Star. Then
you've got well Fajr which is the beginning of the day, the dawn,
you've got with shrimps, which obviously means the sun. Then
you've got well Lael, which were lady which is the night you've got
what Doha which is also the dawn, right? Doha is actually mid
morning, you can say Doha is mid morning, then you go well answer
which means midday well the answer is midday answer time is midday.
Right. And then you've got some sources that starts off with an
oath with the wind. Right? What the reality is Arwa Valhalla, the
weaker off Algeria to use Rafael mocha Sima de umbra. And then
you've got well, Marcella, the philosopher at Asfa, when nurtured
it initial thereafter that you've also got some else which are taken
with the earth or things to do with the Earth, like what tool
which is the mountain what tool what Kitabi muster, and then
you've got
something to do with fruits and plants. So you've got what team he
was a tune, which is the fig and the olive, and then you've got
with animals so you've got horses, for example, one nasty ality. So
you've got a wild idea to Doha, and then you've got one Nazir, at
number six, those sorters that starts off with a condition of
some sort, a condition of some sort that's in seven tours. either
work or it will work here, when the inevitable event will take
place, then what's going to happen? Then you've got either Cal
Moana if you're gonna call Luna shadow in Mecca, Laura Sula, that
sort of Mona Kuhn, when the hypocrites come to you, right, and
they say that we bear witness that, or would they say that, you
know, we bear witness that You are the messenger? So that's sort of
the wackiest word on when Africans are to duckweed, either Shem so
cool. We wrote that starts off with a condition that when the
sun, this will happen, right? Well, in Fatah, this is either
summer or federate certain in Chicago, either summer or Charcot.
Then you've got either as soon as you know how to do sales.
How to do Escada that when this when the earth will have its
tremor and so on, and then you've got either a natural law he will
fit. So that's again starts off with a condition right, so that
was seven sewers. Number seven, the seven category is there. Allah
subhanaw taala starts off
six Suris with a command for example, call oh here a year and
wisdom or NFR on mineral gin that say that it has been revealed to
me it has been inspired to me so it's say like the promise awesome
is being told. Then the famous one acre bismi read then circle Kathy
Rooney's call Yeah, you heard Catherine say, oh, disbelievers
cool who Allahu Ahad say He is Allah the one who are also
bearable fella. Say,
in all of these promises, he's actually been told to say it could
also be Robin falak I seek refuge in The Lord of the morning with a
bit of bitterness. Say I seek refuge in The Lord of the people.
So that's that was the seventh category six or starting with a
command. The eighth category are those sorters
that start off with a question. A question, right? So this is in six
years. * at the aisle in any hurry, you know me in a hurry
lemmya gushee Move Gora as it come a time or Did there come a time
upon people when they were they weren't not even something that
was mentioned. There was nothing right? That's inserted inside.
Then you've got
this alone. Regarding what are they asking?
About what are they asking? This sorta is
in the first of the last year's sort of * attack * attack a
hadith Aloha Shia has the knowledge
which has the discourse of the overwhelming event come to you?
Another one is I'm not sure Hannah girl sada rock. Did we not expand
your chest for you? I am Tara Kiefer founder Abu Dhabi is having
a feel Have you not seen the way Allah subhanho? wa Taala dealt
with the people of the elephant? And then are at the UK the will be
the
Have you not seen? Or have you? Can you see those who?
Those who deny the last day deny the day of
hisab? Number nine, there are three that starts off with a DUA,
or a curse you can say, right? Why you little morphine? What will be
upon those who cheat those who give short measure? Where you
liquidly houmas That illumise Whelan, it's either a valley in
hellfire, where he means Whoa, and destruction beyond somebody and
then the last one, you'll know that but yet be Lucha been what
tab?
May the hands of Abu Lahab may they be destroyed? Then the 10th
category. The last category, I think this is the last category
are those which start off with
a reasoning for something like due to this because of this, right?
Lee law if you're Quraysh because of the coverage being so familiar
and used to and then it discusses that.
So now you understand the different types of ways that the
Quran engages people, it starts with telling you to praise Allah
tells you to glorify Him, it starts with questions, it starts
with emphasis in offs, and so on. Subhanallah, right.
And the reason, obviously, is that, as the people as the people
have effective speeches said, is that the first thing that who you
hear must, mashallah must effect you. Because it's the first thing
that you're going to hear. And all of these are very, very, very
powerful beginnings. Otherwise, people are just going to ignore
it, they're not going to listen, right? They you have to keep them
engaged, and you have to attract them to the discussion. That's why
you have to have the sweetest openings, the harshest openings,
the strongest openings, the boldest openings, the most lucid
opening, write, or that you could use maybe some kind of poem poetry
in the beginning, some kind of rhyming in the beginning, not
poetry, but rhyming in the beginning, and so on. You can use
some reality in the beginning a discussion about some reality, a
real event, a major event, a majestic event, a terrible event,
you can start off with some kind of terror like a hacker. But how
could that starts off with some terrifying event news about the
inevitable event you just like? When you understand Arabic, you
understand what that says? Now, any opening must be simple and
straightforward. It can't be complicated, because if you're
going to force people right from the beginning to start wondering,
Hey, what is he talking about? What exactly does that mean?
You've lost them already. That's why the beginning part needs to be
simple and straightforward, while being sweet and bold, and all of
these other things depending on the situation. That's why they're
all of us a worker at the Jimmy authority. So as an individual
Buju all the openings of the surah have come in the most excellent
ways, the most complete ways, like all the examples that I provided.
Right? The second thing that the Quran does, right is what we call
the brothel is the halal, which is that not only is it just a
powerful opening, but it's actually a very significant
opening that it a lot in a lot of cases, it actually tells you
exactly what the next part is going to be about. Right. So it
indicates towards the theme, the subject matter, which is much more
difficult to get, you know, to get a powerful opening that also
signifies the main theme of the discussion. To be honest, I think
we need to stop and at least discuss one of them. Right? And
what we're going to discuss is actually the sorbitol Fatiha now
the Surah Fatiha one as you can see the beginning of certain hotel
Hamdu lillahi rabbil aalameen But the other one is salted fatty as a
beginning of the entire Quran what source? Why is sort of fatty our
place there. Have you ever wondered why? I mean I know we
read it so many times but have you ever wondered why Allah subhanaw
taala starts the Quran with certain fatty there's many many
reasons given. So let me relate to something today. Right Imam be
happy in his Charbel Eman. He has mentioned a Hadith from our past.
Habib he says Mohammed Abu Salah related to him and he carries on
to
Rabhi IGNOU sabe from Hassan who says that Ansel Allah who may
attend What are better KHUDOBIN Allah so this this is not a Hadith
of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam base from Hasson or the
Allahu Allah that Allah subhanho wa Taala has read
revealed 104 books in total scriptures, how many books in in
total 104 scriptures
and all of the collective knowledge of those 104 scriptures,
Allah subhanho wa Taala has combined in fire in four of those
scriptures, right? Do you know what the other four scriptures?
Allah has taken all 114 and he's put them into just four of the
sorry 104 scriptures, Allah subhanaw taala revealed, and he
put all of those into four scriptures. And that is the Taurat
the NG does Award and the four Khan essentially the Torah, the
evangel, the Psalms, and the Quran. Right now, Allah subhanaw
taala took all the knowledge that was in the Torah the NGLS award
and put that all into the Quran because it's the last book all of
that is included in the Quran.
Now now it gets really even more interesting, the entire knowledge
of the Quran all the main themes of the Quran, Allah subhanaw taala
put into the amorphous solid. Remember I told you that the
Mufasa let's start off with sort of 200 Euro until the end of the
Quran, right? All of those surah is down there. Then Allah subhanaw
taala took all the knowledge or the main cream, essential
knowledge of them of a salad and he put that into skeletal Fatiha.
That's why he then says from an animate of sera whoever studies
the Tafseer of Surah Fatiha come and animate of Sierra Jimmy will
quotable Vanessa. It is as if he knows that Tafseer of all the
scriptures that have ever been revealed, which means the entire
104 scriptures that Allah subhanaw taala has revealed to mankind, all
of the Tafseer of that is inserted fattier. Now, that's a very, very
interesting point.
Now, I can give you an example of this, I can give you reasons for
this. And the reason is that if you look at if you just take the
Quran and all the different sciences that are related in the
Quran, you will find that, in fact, not just in sorry, all the
sciences that are related in the Quran, and very important for all
religions. Right? So sciences, in the Quran, and the appropriate and
necessary for all religion are fundamentally for animal or soul,
right, which is the science of the basics, which is belief about who
Allah subhanaw taala is and his attributes and so on. And you get
that so that's the first theme, right? You get that in a rock
bill, Al Amin Rahmani Raheem so it's a description about Allah
subhanaw taala. Then after that, the second one is about prophets,
right? The messengers that Allah subhanaw taala sends, you get that
in a lead Alladhina? Where is that discussion in solidarity? There's
no discussion of profits. Yes, there is an allusion to it. And
Lavina and Danny him, those that you show your blessings upon, and
we know that that refers to the profits thereafter that the third
most important thing for all religions, right, if they're
serious religions, is knowledge of the Hereafter knowledge of the
consequence, the ending? And you get that in Maliki yo, homie,
Dean, the sovereign of the Day of Judgment, right? And then the
fourth one is how to worship or what is worship? I mean, once you
recognize your Lord, you recognize the messenger, you've recognized
that you've got a place to go, then what do we what are we
supposed to do? He's supposed to worship and show devotion that is
found in E. Caribou? He cannot be the only you do we worship
thereafter? If you want to add something else to that which is
the path of righteousness? Or how do you then be righteous to do all
of this you can add a fifth point to it. Now that you know to get
the double Sharia and everything you get that in Iraq, Afghanistan
in a certain was Turkey, which is only you do we seek assistance
from. So that is an ethic that we only seek assistance from Allah
subhanho wa taala. And then we say, oh, Allah guide us to the
straight path. And the straight path is the one that has the
proper character and the righteousness thereafter that
there's some other sciences as well like the science of
narratives and accounts of past people because we relate to past
people. So that's why it's important.
You get that inserted Fatiha as well. Where do you get a story in
certain fattier or accounting sort of data when you get that when it
says Sirata Lavina. Ananda in him or you didn't know that will be it
him one of the lien. This refers to the path of those who you have
showered your blessings upon and who did not go astray, right, and
who did not have your wrath upon them. So that obviously includes
so many people of the past, so there's an indication towards that
as well. That is why sort of it becomes one of the most unique and
significant openings of any book because it explains what the
entire Quranic themes are. Not just that but all of the books of
the past which the Quran came to final
Finally you know,
what do you call it provide information and provide the final
message about
so certified provides all the objectives of the Quran and that
is an amazing what they call skillful opening, right an
extremely skillful opening not only Allah subhanaw taala could
have done. Likewise if you look at Surah to Surah two ATRA if we take
a few suitors and we look at how that does it as well, and take
example Surah two acre, acre Bismillah because the hudec
Just the way sort of Fatiha is like that for the entire Quran,
the first verses to ever be revealed to man to the prophets of
Allah azza wa jal mystery that has the same skillful opening that
indicates towards what's coming next. So Allah says it bismi
robic, Allah de Haluk, read in the Name of your Lord who created
Allah subhanaw taala is telling you must read. And the way you
read is you start off with Bismillah ikura bismi, Arabic
Allah, the HELOC, there's a discussion there of the oneness of
your Lord.
And it is telling you something about your equal bismi. Read in
the Name of your Lord who created it's giving you some of his
characteristics. And then I level in Santa Maria Maria Anam ultimate
in Santa Maria Maria Adam, Allah subhanaw taala says he taught the
in sun that which he did not know. So this sort of the orlimar say,
can actually be considered to be a title of the Quran because it's
really like telling you what it's all about, in the most in the
shortest fashion. Now, just quickly, it looks like
we're going to have to carry on this discussion tomorrow. But
today, what we can finish off is the Hawaiian theme of the Hawa
theme of sorts, since we've discussed the openings of the
Surah, Allah subhanho wa Taala doesn't leave the endings of the
Surah, just like that. They're very special as well, Allah
subhanaw taala has ended with some really amazing ways as well. So
number one, a lot of the endings they match the beginnings to
complete the theme that was discussed, right? It also ends in
a way that it's satisfying, so that there is no need for feeling
that something has been left out. So it's a very kind of conclusive
beginning ending that Allah subhanaw taala does say it makes
you think that okay, I've got satisfaction, you know, I've been
quenched my thirst has been quenched. Some of them start off
with doors at the end, so it makes a DUA, then some of them start off
with praise, some of them start off with saying that, you know,
redeclare in that look, now, you must all understand that Allah
subhanaw taala is one, some of them start off with
advice, with some kind of exhortation, some kind of advice,
right, which is a beautiful way to end, some of them still end up
with a warning, right, which is another way to end something. And
some of them end up with a promise of some sort. For example,
certified Fatiha it ends with like a warning dua with a warning that
we don't want to be on the path of those went astray and who were
showered Your wrath upon Okay. Let's see. In the short time that
we have I'm just going to explain a few more.
Write the DUA ones you can see at the end of sorter Bacara you've
got
an or sort of email on Zillow email Robbie, he will be known and
then you've got a dua then when sunnah I will call mill caffeine
so that's one in which you've got some really prominent dua verses
right at the end of Surah Baqarah. Then in the end of certain
assorted area Imran, I can't go into detail about this, but you
can check it up take notes, sort of earlier Imran it's ends up with
some wasa some councils and some advices then sort of Nissa and
with
the FARA is, right, which means the
it ends with the inheritance portions, right as a last point as
an inheritance that this is what you'll be given an inheritance
because that's what comes after death. So it's a really beautiful
way to end the surah that this is the rulings that you're going to
have to come to terms with after you die, okay. sort of match
either ends with glorification and magnification of Allah subhanaw
taala. So, SOTL Anam ends with some promises, and some warnings,
right? Then you've got sort of our off which ends with encouragement
towards worship, right? By showing how the angels right worship. Then
at the end of circle and fall, it's an encouragement towards
Jihad and towards tying the knots of kinship.
So there's like, advice that you're left with at the end. Surah
Al Bara resorted to Toba is ends with a description of Allah of
Allah's Messenger. And it ends with La Ilaha illa Allah, right,
then, in the end of Surah Yunus is something to satisfy the Prophet
sallallahu Sallam and give him consolation to his heart. Likewise
at the end of sudut, who is very similar to that as well.
So the use of ends up with a description of the Quran and
praising the Quran and how Allah subhanaw taala has benefited you
know, so many people buy it, so to ride ends with
repudiation on those who denied the messenger sallallahu alayhi
wasallam. Right. And
sort of Ibrahim for example, if you look at source Ibrahim, the
ending of it, Allah so it's really beautiful endings Allah subhanaw
taala says her Bella who Lin says this is a con This is the
hyperbola holiness which means this is being conveyed to the
people this is this message has been delivered to the people
right. Similar you will get at the end of circle cough likewise
similar you will get to the end of circle Hijiri Allah subhanaw taala
says, What would Rebecca Hatta yet directly again, you keep
worshiping your Lord until the inevitable event comes in? Which
means your death comes to you? Right until conviction comes to
you. Right which obviously is death. So that's really beautiful,
beautiful ending. Then insert the search results Allah Allah
subhanaw taala says it's a beautiful ending. That one is for
me. Yeah. Melmoth Carlos alright in hiring Yara on the melon with
Carlos are rotting Sharon Yara, whoever does even
an atom amount of good they will find it and see it and those who
do even atom are evil, they will also see that so it's a beautiful
ending. Then after that you've got
we discussed in one of the early lectures in one of the early
sessions we discussed the absolute last verse to be revealed of the
Quran Surah Baqarah, which is verse 281. What telco Yagoona
Torah Jamuna fee in Allah, so Neto of Kowloon, FC Marchesa, this is
so now you beware of the day in which you're going to be returned
to Allah, what a beautiful way to end because that's the objective
of the Quran that you need to be, you know, focused on the
hereafter. Then, what was the last Surah to be revealed the last full
Surah to be revealed. So to either Jaya and Nasir Allah, He will
Fitzwater Nasir. And the way that ends is beautiful, right Elijah
Nasir Allah He Well, first when the victory, right? And the
assistance from Allah subhanaw taala has arrived or when it
comes, right, and you see people entering into Islam in droves.
Right? You now glorify your Lord, and you seek forgiveness from him.
It's like the best thing that we're told to do. That's why we're
told that even after you pray, after you finish your fasting,
whatever you thank Allah. And then after that you seek forgiveness
for any mistakes that we may have made, right? Any defects that we
may have had, that's a beautiful way to end that surah. Okay,
that's a beautiful way to end that surah. And so there you go, that
gives us an understanding of the beginnings of surah and the
endings of Surah that these are not random. They're not just
rhetorical here and there. They include in the skillful
elegant opening, powerful opening, sweet opening, attractive opening,
and it in many cases actually indicates towards the entire
theme. And then Allah subhanaw taala doesn't leave the reader
that Okay, now that you've read the entire Surah that we're going
to just kind of end it anyhow know, there's even a beautiful
ending. So the openings and the endings are absolutely beautiful.
And that is how we're going to look at it today. In sha Allah
tomorrow, we're going to be discussing the hood of mocha tart
in particular in a bit more detail, and maybe something else,
then after that the next two days, so tomorrow will be
Wednesday, then inshallah Thursday and Friday. For two days, at least
we intend to discuss one of the most important and recently become
very controversial topics. Right? So I'm just mentioning this in
advance. Inshallah, on Thursday and Friday, at least we're
intending to discuss that, which is, why should we make it Saturday
and Sunday
doesn't make a difference. On Thursday and Friday we'll be
discussing this, which is going to be about the seven modes of
reading the seven haruf Sabha to out of the concept of the seven
ways of reading the Quran are the seven ways in which the Quran was
revealed, which has become extremely controversial recently.
There's lots of questions and doubts that we've received about
it. So inshallah we'll be discussing that
One day for the roof and one day for the Kira art and inshallah
that's going to be very interesting. So that would be a
Thursday and Friday insha Allah. Otherwise tomorrow inshallah we're
going to be finishing off the discussion about the horror of
Macatawa the horror novel hija insha Allah Hedgy rather inshallah
