Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato.
Back to our Ramadan reflections. Let us start with the verse of the
Quran Allah subhanho wa Taala his words are all the bIllahi min ash
shaytani R rajim Bismillah R Rahman Rahim were who will lead
the unit use zero he sent me back the corner to show raw data. Well,
who will worry you will Hamid Allah is the One Who sends down
rain after men have given up all hope, and scattered his mercy far
and wide. He is the protector worthy of all praise. This is from
surah two Shura, which is chapter 42. And verses 28. Allah is the
One Who sends down the rain after men have given up all hope. And he
scattered his mercy far and wide. He is the protector worthy of all
praise. What Allah subhanaw taala is saying through this verse is
that sometimes you could just totally give up, for example, the
example here is you've given up on a piece of land, it's desolate,
there's nothing going to happen there. And then suddenly, Allah
subhanaw taala sends down the rain, and mashallah, you see how
people get happy after a drought or after there's not been enough
rain, how people get happy. And Allah subhanaw taala just uses
that an example to show that Allah scatters His mercy far and wide.
Rain is a wonderful example because we need rain. I mean, no
country can live without rain, they suffer they struggle, right?
And that's why we have actually have a special prayer for rain,
and people who do anything to get rain and they get very happy,
because rain and water is what gives us survival. And then Allah
says at the end he gives he underscores this reality he says
who will wali you will Hamid Allah is the Protector, that the one who
takes care?
The one who is a friend, the one who is concerned.
And he is the one who is worthy of all praise, because that's what he
does.
So the rain in this verse, I mean, while it's an example it can be
taken to mean anything that rescues one and provides one with
some kind of relief and help in a crisis because that's what rain
does. And that's an example that Allah subhanaw taala does that
through multiple means, right? In crisis, Allah subhanaw taala
helps. So it is Allah alone, though, who can come to a person's
rescue when they face problems? It's Allah subhanho wa taala, who
lends a supporting hand is ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada who provides a
shoulder to cry on you know, to use the use the symbolism and the
metaphor there, right? Just the way a person was really, really,
really sick and then suddenly, mashallah they find a cure and the
guy is revived, the person is revived. Likewise, Allah subhanaw
taala causes the blessings to transfer through the rain that he
provides on in on Dead Lands, right? And rain is a Mercy of
Allah. That's why many orlimar say that you get, and I think it's in
the narration as well that when it rains, because rain is a mercy, it
shows that Allah subhanaw taala shimmering His mercy, make dua
then and your dollars will be accepted, just like your dollars
are accepted at the time of Iftar. And before before Maghrib sunset
time, and at different times of the day. Rain is rain is one of
them, right? Unless it's an absolute storm and it's a
punishment. And that's, that's, you know, gonna be a bit
different. Even then there could be mercy in there as well.
Allah subhanho wa Taala is the one who shares mercy and because he is
the only protector of human beings, he is the product of all
of his creation, He created them, He loves His creation, and He
protects and sustains his creation. And the attributes
mentioned here are very, very specially chosen Allah subhanaw
taala. After discussing this example, Allah says, Allah is wali
Yun Hamid, what he means the one who takes care of things. That's
what when he means the one who has Wilaya, who has authority, and who
fulfills that responsibility, the proper one, he is the one who
fulfills their responsibility. Allah subhanaw taala doesn't have
a response, he can do whatever he wishes, but he does that which is
the best for mankind. Right? And he is the all. So he's the
protector, he is the Worthy of all praise. And these are two
characteristics being the protector, Wali protector, right,
and worthy of all praise. These have got a very special link with
rescuing humanity. Right and with truth, so this is all about
rescuing humanity, giving them hope, giving them life.
So Allah subhanaw taala just as he would bring back to life,
barren land and give it a totally new store of life. Allah subhanaw
taala will give our hearts new life if we just turn to him. And
Allah subhana wa Tada will give our lives
in the Hereafter, but also in this world. So may Allah subhana wa
Tada and he's deserving all of this may Allah
Subhana wa Tada grant us
comfort May Allah subhanaw taala grant us his Wilaya his
friendship, his caretaking his protection and Jazak Allah here,
please remember us in your doors and As Salam aleikum wa
rahmatullah wa barakato.
The point of a lecture is to encourage people to act to get
further an inspiration, and encouragement, persuasion. The
next step is to actually start learning seriously, to read books
to take on a subject of Islam and to understand all the subjects of
Islam at least at the basic level, so that we can become more aware
of what our Dean wants from us. And that's why we started Rayyan
courses so that you can actually take organize lectures on demand
whenever you have free time, especially for example, the
Islamic essentials course that we have on the Islamic essentials
certificate, which you take 20 Short modules, and at the end of
that inshallah you will have gotten the basics of most of the
most important topics in Islam and you'll feel a lot more confident.
You don't have to leave lectures behind you can continue to live,
you know, to listen to lectures, but you need to have this more
sustained study as well as aka la harem salaam aleikum wa
