Abdullah Hakim Quick – Comparing Genocide
AI: Summary ©
The history and characteristics of the time before Islam are discussed, including the split between Islam and religion, the use of shambles and witnesses, the use of biological warfare, and the loss of religion and culture. The aftermath of the Islamist movement in Iran have caused the rise of a nation, the loss of religion and culture, and the loss of cultural and integrity. The culture prioritizes integrity and peace among Muslims, including pride, forgiveness, and unite the world.

Alhamdulillahi rabbil alameen, wal aqibatilil muttaqeen, wa laa
udwana illa ala al-dhalimeen.
Wa ashhadu an laa ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu
laa sharika lah.
Wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu, sallallahu

Hamma ba'd, fawseekum wa nafsi bi taqwa Allah

Wa yaqula al-haqq subhana, a'udhu billahi
min al-shaytan al-rajim, ya ayyuhalladheena aamunat
taqwa Allah haqqa tuqati, wa laa tamutunna illa
wa antum muslimun.
All praise are due to Allah, Lord of
the worlds.
And surely the best reward ultimately is for
those who have the consciousness of Allah.
And surely there is no animosity except for
the oppressor.
And I bear witness that Allah is one
and has no partners.
And that Muhammad, the son of Abdullah, is
his servant, his last messenger.
May Allah always constantly send peace and blessings
to Muhammad, to his family and his companions
and all those who call to his way
and establish his sunnah to the day of
judgment.
As to what follows, I begin by reminding
myself of the critical importance of taqwa Allah,
of the consciousness of Allah, the fear of
Allah and the hope in the mercy of
Allah.
And that we should hear his message and
that we should obey.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has revealed
in his mighty book, O you who believe,
fear Allah in the way he should be
feared and do not die except as Muslims.
O you who believe, we are living in
strange times, in times where information is being
beamed at us from different points in the
world, seeing people in different conditions.
And the Muslim world being so scattered and
so widespread around the planet, we are getting
different signals.
In one sense, we find Muslims living in
terrible genocide.
We are seeing horrible scenes of ethnic cleansing,
extermination.
And it seems to be getting worse and
worse by the day.
But on the other hand, you see pictures
of Muslims living in amazing wealth, having millions
of dollars, buying huge yachts and worthless paintings,
having some of the highest standards of living
in the world.
It's a contradiction.
But Allah azza wa jal has told us
very clearly in surat al-anbiya, وَنَبْلُوَكُمْ بِالشَّغْرِ
وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ And we will test
you with evil things and with good things
as a trial.
And you will all return to us.
And so Allah subhana wa ta'ala has
power over all things.
But the questioner asks very clearly, What is
happening?
How is it possible for what we are
seeing to go down in the Muslim world?
And we turn to the book of Allah
subhana, and we find in surah Ali Imran
in verse 140, the oft-repeated verse that
we need to go back to over and
over again, to study the tafsir, to study
when it was revealed, why it was revealed,
to apply it to us where Allah told
us, Allah
has revealed such days of varying fortunes.
We give to people by turns, that Allah
may know those who believe, and He may
take from you martyr witnesses.
And Allah does not love the oppressor.
Allah's object is to purify the believers, and
to deprive of all blessings those who disbelieve.
And so we see in this mighty verse,
that Allah shows us clearly our reality, and
we look at our history, we see our
reality happening over the centuries.
There is a purpose for this.
The purpose includes a test.
We are all under a test.
No matter what level of society we are
under, it's a serious empty hand.
And Allah decided this point, and other points
in history, that He would take shaheeds, He
would take shuhada, martyr witnesses from our ranks,
to enter them directly into paradise.
And Allah does not love a zalimin.
Remember that word zalim, the oppressor.
Why is this happening to us?
Why are we over 26% of the
earth's population with such wealth, and such armies,
and such potential?
Allah is purifying us.
Allah is going to purify this ummah, and
He's going to bring down the disbelievers.
So this is a process that has happened
in history.
And young people, and people who study history,
and those who want to understand what is
happening to us, would ask the question, has
something like this ever happened before?
Has such genocide, and murder, and brutality, and
could this situation even get worse than it
is?
We go back to the 13th century A
.D. Let's do a comparison, because our time
is short.
Let's do a quick comparison, and we see,
in the 13th century A.D., the Abbasid
khalifa was only symbolic.
Our leaders were weak.
People who spent most of their time spending
their wealth on themselves.
Today, we have no khalifa.
The Muslim world, in the 13th century, it
was divided into nation states.
Today, the OIC, 57 Muslim majority states.
57 states.
Poverty was widespread.
Today, we have some of the poorest people
on the face of the planet Earth, despite
the fact that we have some of the
richest.
The same that was happening then.
When Hajj came, the people were so busy
with the dunya, that they didn't even send
one Hajj group from Baghdad to Mecca.
They didn't care.
And today, for some people, Hajj has become
like tourism.
And people who run the Hajj become like
greedy businessmen.
The scholars were humiliated.
Taken out of positions of authority.
And we see it happening in the Muslim
world.
Those scholars who stood up to tyranny and
who speak out, are being put in prison,
under heavy trial.
But the key point in the 13th century
was when the Muslims who were so arrogant
with their power, we are the most powerful
people on Earth, we have the richest people,
we have the Qur'an itself.
How can we be defeated?
They disrespected merchants who were coming into their
country.
And in one case, the Khwarizmi Empire in
Central Asia, disrespected Mongolian traders.
And when they did this, the leader of
the Mongols, Genghis Khan, who wanted to be
the king of kings, unleashed upon the Muslim
world a type of brutality that maybe will
never be seen again until the time of
Yajuj and Majuj.
He unleashed it.
We don't have pictures of it like today
what's happening in Gaza.
We don't have many eyewitness reports.
We know the numbers to a certain extent.
But who were these people?
Compare them to the settler colonial occupiers of
today.
The Mongols had excellent organization.
They benefited from weapons, the weapons of the
Chinese, the organization wherever they found it.
And so it is today, the settler occupiers,
in their last projects, have some of the
most powerful weapons on Earth.
The Mongols used fear tactics.
They killed people in large numbers.
That same tactic of fear is being used
today in front of us.
Ethnic cleansing, genocide, now extermination that is happening
in Philistina.
The Mongols at that point used biological warfare.
They used biological warfare.
They would come to a town and they
would take dead bodies of people who had
disease and catapult them over the walls.
So the people would get the disease.
And many historians believe that the Mongols were
part of the reason why the bubonic plague
spread around and killed much of the people
on Earth.
Today, the occupiers are using chemical warfare.
Phosphorus, destroying hospitals, destroying clean water.
It's biological chemical warfare.
The Mongols destroyed infrastructure.
They would burn the crops.
They would divert a river so it wouldn't
go to the people.
The infrastructure is being destroyed today like never
before.
Look at the pictures of Gaza.
Look at now what's even happening in Lebanon.
The same tactic that is being used.
Starvation being used as a weapon of war
and the murder of the youth.
Young people.
And the Mongols said when they captured the
town any young man who was higher than
a linchpin executed.
The same tactics, savage tactics being used today.
What was the Muslim response?
That's the question that we have to ask.
In the 13th century, the Muslims because of
arrogance and as the Prophet ﷺ said, حُبِّ
الدُّنْيَا وَقَرَهِيَةِ الْمُوتِ They loved the dunya.
They were afraid to die.
They were afraid when the Mongols came.
They tried bribery.
Pay them off.
Give them money.
Maybe they will go back.
That didn't work.
The Mongols wanted destruction and subjugation.
And so they began their destruction.
But Cairo after Baghdad was destroyed became the
center of the Muslim world.
And then in this area was the rise
of a nation.
The rise of the Mamluks.
And this came at a key critical point.
Because when you look at the destruction that
happened at the hands of the Mongols, they
kill hundreds and thousands of people.
They destroyed Hamdan, Samarkand, Bukhara, Riyadh, Mur.
And the city of Mur which considered at
that time in Central Asia to be the
mother of all cities, they destroyed 700,000
people.
This is not with bombs.
This is with the hands.
This was a destruction that Ibn al-Athir
and the scholars of Islam said it must
be Yawm al-Qiyamah.
These people must be the Gog and the
Magog.
What can we do?
Despair spread amongst the Muslims.
Fear spread.
And then Allah subhana wa ta'ala intervened.
And He intervened with a group of people
that you would never expect to be your
leaders.
With a group of people who were originally
slaves.
They were slaves but in a slave market
in Central Asia.
And they came from the Turkic people of
Central Asia.
And also the people of the Caucasus region.
Dagestanis.
Chechens.
The young people know this fighting spirit.
You know who is their Habib.
There is Islam.
The MMA fighters.
You know that spirit of Dagestanis.
But they were slaves.
And they were brought to Egypt.
And the Sultan at the time had sense.
So he freed them.
He trained them.
They accepted Islam.
He trained them.
He organized them.
They were taught discipline.
So leadership did not come out of nowhere.
They were taught furusiyah.
What is furusiyah?
They were young men.
They were taught a moral code.
Courage.
They were taught with their belief in Allah
never to turn away from the enemies.
This was the mentality and one of the
great leaders of this group that came forward.
Seyf ad-Din Qutuz.
Who was sold in a marketplace.
Transported to Egypt and then he became the
leader.
Why did he go from slave to the
leaders?
As the Mongols destroyed Baghdad and they went
into the Levant into Damascus.
Took it over.
Went down into Syria, Lebanon and they were
facing Egypt.
Their intention was to destroy Mecca and Medina.
Fear was in the hearts of the people.
Allah raised up amongst people of the lowest
class within Egyptian society.
Strength.
And Seyf ad-Din Qutuz rahimahullah organized his
people.
He brought unity to the Muslims.
Regardless of your color.
Regardless of your language.
If you are a believer, you are with
us.
And he took a strong stance against the
Mongols.
Hulagu Khan, leader of the Mongols, sent a
letter to Seyf ad-Din Qutuz.
And he must have had Muslims who were
writing this letter with him because Muslims turned
coat and went to the other side, hypocrites.
He must have had Muslims writing the letter
with him.
And he starts in the name of God.
And he said, I am the punishment of
God upon you.
Because you people are corrupt.
You don't feed the poor.
You don't help the weak.
So I am the curse of Allah on
you.
You cannot flee from me.
There is no escape.
And he even was so arrogant that he
said to the Muslims, Du'a akum la
yusma.
Your prayer will not be answered.
Imagine this.
He said to the Muslims, Your du'a
is not going to be answered because you're
an oppressor.
And Seyf ad-Din Rahimullah took a stand,
a bold stand, rejected everything of the Mongols,
turned them back and organized the Muslims.
He imposed discipline first on himself.
He made the rich people pay zakat.
They had to give.
He united the ranks of the believers.
And they stood in front of the Mongols
in the year 1206 or 1260 in a
place called Ain Jalut.
They stood in front of them in the
last ten days in Ramadan.
They fasted, they made tahajjud and after fajr,
they stood against the most fearsome army that
ever existed in history.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gave them
total victory.
Not one Mongol escaped.
The invincibility of the Mongols was brought down.
Get some comparisons with today.
Because of the bold stance that they took,
even though they were outnumbered, they stood in
the face of evil put it down, and
the invincibility of the Mongols was broken.
People saw their weakness.
And then Muslims started to do dawah.
We never forgot about dawah.
And many of the Mongol leaders accepted Islam.
Barake Khan and others in the Golden Horde,
they accepted Islam in large numbers.
And so the enemies of Islam became part
of the Muslim group.
And the Mongols were driven out.
And that same comparison, that same equation exists
today.
That same fighting spirit exists amongst us.
And if you want that spirit coming from
Central Asia, then look at the Dagestanis, look
at the Chechens.
It's still here amongst us.
And there are others in other parts of
the Muslim world.
Young men, young women, strong now.
No longer weak.
This is a different period of time for
Muslims.
We can no longer be apologists.
If we are being destroyed, we have the
right to defend ourselves.
It is guaranteed by Allah subhana wa ta
'ala.
But never forget that the help of Allah
is near.
It is close to us.
But Allah clearly said to us in Surah
Muhammad verse 38, وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوا يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ
ثُمَّ لَا يَكُونُوا أَمْثَالَكُمْ And if you turn
back, Allah will exchange you.
Allah will replace you with another group.
And they will not be like you.
And so we are at that point in
time.
We will go forward and stand up for
the truth, defend the weak and the innocent,
or Allah will replace us with another group
completely.
They will not be like what we see
in the Muslim world.
And so we pray that Allah subhana wa
ta'ala would give strength and vigor to
the youth.
You see the youth all over the Muslim
world wanting to stand up.
We pray that Allah subhana wa ta'ala
would help us to replace our ignorant hypocritical
leaders.
And we pray that Allah subhana wa ta
'ala would have mercy on the innocent children
who are being killed.
The innocent families being destroyed.
May Allah give them the highest part of
Jannah.
May Allah give victory to the Mujahideen on
the ground.
May Allah plant their feet firm on the
earth.
And may Allah bring peace and justice all
over the planet and raise back the word
of there is no god but Allah, Muhammad
is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
Say this and ask forgiveness for me and
for you, and ask forgiveness for the Muslims
for all their sins.
Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, the One,
the Ever-Living, the Unique, the Ever-Sustaining,
who neither begets nor is born, and to
whom there is no equivalent.
And I pray and submit to the Master
of the first and the last, our Prophet
Muhammad, and upon his family and companions, all
of them and beyond.
O servants of Allah!
Fear Allah wherever you may be.
And Allah says, Verily Allah and His angels
send blessings upon the Prophet.
O you who have believed, send blessings upon
him and give him peace.
O Allah, send peace and blessings upon Your
servant and Messenger, Muhammad, and upon his family
and his companions, all of them and beyond.
May Allah grant the rightful Caliphs of Muhammad,
Uthman and Ali.
And by Your mercy, have mercy on the
merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, the One,
the Ever-Living, the Unique, the Ever-Sustaining,
and to whom there is no equivalent.
O our Lord!
Do not forsake our hearts after You have
guided us.
And grant us mercy from Yourself.
Indeed, You are the Ever-Living, the Ever
-Merciful.
O our Lord!
Forgive us our sins, grant us rest, and
forgive us our transgressions, and forgive us our
transgressions and our transgressions so that we may
appear to You with mercy.
O our Lord!
Make us to mingle among our hearts and
make our hearts to unite among ourselves.
And guide us to the path of peace,
and save us from darknesses, and from the
filth which came out of it, and from
the filth that ingratiated our hearts.
And bless our ears, our eyes, our hearts,
our offspring.
And have mercy on us!
Indeed, You are the Ever-Repenting, the Ever
-Merciful.
