			All praise is due to Allah subhanahu wa taala. We praise Him. We seek His help and we ask for his
forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allah subhanahu wa taala from the evils within ourselves and from
the evils within our own actions. Whomsoever Allah guides, none can be misled. And whomsoever Allah
misguides will never find one to guide him. So I testify and bear witness that there is no deity, no
Lord, worthy of worship except Allah. And then Mohammed, Abdullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is his

			We should all praise and thank Allah subhanahu wa taala. For once again, allowing us all to be
gathered here together. In this beautiful mystery, in this blessed day, the day of Friday, we are
gathered here to perform the solar tomorrow together, may Allah subhanahu wa taala bless each and
every one of you. And may Allah subhanho wa Taala gather us like we are gathered here, but in
general for those I mean,
		

			now my brothers and sisters, we are nearing the end of the year 2018.
		

			And we are almost about to start the year 2019.
		

			The question that I have for myself and for all of you is What have you done this year? That was
different from the previous years that has made you closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala. What have you
done? What have you achieved in your life, especially this year? That was different from the years
before that has made you a better Muslim? Has your Eman increase this year? Is the remain has
remained the same this year? Or is it declining this year, because of a lot of distractions that is
around us today.
		

			Now, as you know many, many people, maybe Muslims, a lot of them most likely will probably have
increased the man because of the awareness when it comes to Islam and what is happening around the
world. But unfortunately, there are many, many Muslims whose A man has decreased,
		

			who is so indulged in the world today so involved in the distractions of what has come in their
life, that they are forgetting the creator of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
		

			And I have encountered many Muslims, who are indulged and involved in these distractions in these
problems in these issues that is facing the Muslims. Just this year as an example. We know that the
same * marriage act has passed and how many Muslims today are involved in this matter? They are
creating debates about this matter.
		

			So much so that I have heard youngsters youth
		

			in schools, they are talking about this matter. Some of them are saying what's wrong with it. There
is absolutely nothing wrong with such a thing. People are born like this. They have become
brainwashed to believe in such filth.
		

			While many Muslims are forgetting what Allah subhanho wa Taala said in the Quran, and what the
prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam mentioned in the Hadith about such filth, they are forgetting
what happened to loot the people of Sudan that have forgotten what happened to those people as a
reminder to the Muslims today. Yet we are giving into these distractions. Another example is an
increase in online games in online activities, which many of our youth and not just the youth. Many
of the elders are also involved in such a thing.
		

			Time after time they are involved. for hours on end sometimes during the night, having lack of sleep
involved in playing online games. They miss this a lot of Asia. They sleep so late that they missed
a certain feature they even play throughout the day.
		

			Look at your children today.
		

			It is holidays at the moment for many schools.
		

			Is your child involved with online games continuously? Or is it just once in a while?
		

			These are the distractions our youth are facing today.
		

			The problem of * when many unfortunately Muslims are involved in where couples have
separated, have divorced because of such filth that the Muslims are watching today, expecting their
wives to do what they see online.
		

			Such filth that I have encountered many couples, many married couples that are going through
divorce, because of the problem and the addiction of such filth.
		

			While we know so many warnings that has been given to us, by Allah subhanho wa Taala and the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Today we see so many Muslims. It's all about myself. It's all about my
children. It's all about my house. It's all about my car. It's about me, forgetting the ties of
kinship with their mothers, with their fathers, with their brothers with their sisters, breaking the
ties of kinship.
		

			not helping one another, not supporting one another. It is my million dollars. I'm not going to
share with anyone. I don't care about my brother, I don't care about my sister. So much slander so
much backbiting.
		

			So much gossip that we forget the ties of kinship, we forget the the Hadith of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wasallam when he says hello Jana Katya Rahim, he will not enter Paradise, the one
who breaks the ties of kinship. These are some examples of what I have seen what I have encountered,
just this year, the increase of such filth, the increase of such issues in such problems. Now,
again, we should ask ourselves, how many of us are involved in these examples that I have just
mentioned?
		

			And how many of us are willing to change? Come 2019 this is something for myself and for all of us
in sha Allah huhtala
		

			How can they be a change in the Muslim world today in the Muslim situation today? We can see our
brothers and sisters dying on a daily basis. How can we see victory for Muslims when we do not
change what is within ourselves as Allah subhanahu wa tada he says in Holla Holla you hey you might

situation of the people if we do not change the situation of ourselves. Therefore, if we want to see

			Allah subhanho wa Taala we are losing faith. We are losing a man. It's like today we cannot live
without phones. And if our phones are dying 5% battery left and the phone continuously tells us to
charge me because we can't live without our phones. Immediately we charge our phones because we know
how disabled we are without it. And as soon as we charge our phones 100% signal is there and we can
use it again for the entire day. We are happy.
		

			Our battery is dying, our hearts are dying. Our connection to Allah is is breaking. We need to
charge our hearts again. We need to push ourselves towards the love of Allah subhanho wa Taala by
increasing our Eman, this is something very important. Going back to the basics. Because if we want
whatever we do in this world, or they be our Salah, our Sokka or work our family relationship,
whatever it is, we need to go back to the basics. And remember our connection with Allah. Is our
connection with Allah great. Is that high? Is it good? Or is it breaking apart? Because if our
connection with Allah is breaking apart, then the rest is going to break apart.
		

			Amara, the Allahu Allah he narrates a hadith very beautiful Hadith where he says that once we were

purely for the sake of Allah inshallah, you will be in Paradise, but the next level is a mock Minh.
The next level is a mock Minh and inshallah huhtala. All of us are in this level or even higher. And
that is a person that worships Allah subhanho wa Taala does the obligations as well as does the
Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam does extra deeds, so that he has higher chance of
		

			entering the highest of paradise. He has strong email and he has strong belief in Allah. He has
belief in the unseen, the day of judgment, the angels, the books, the messengers, and
predetermination. He believes in sincerely and wholeheartedly and does his best to fulfill the
obligations in the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and making sure they fulfill it.
Not saying that I'm not going to do the sinner because it's early or sooner. But this is a person
who does this sooner, because it is a sooner, that's why I want to do it. This is a woman but a
level of higher than that is a mortal sin is a mortal sin, a level that the sahabas have reached a
		

			level that we want to reach, if we really want to be amongst them on the in Jannah.
		

			And this is a level that whatever we do, I they be your Salah, either be your giving sadaqa or they
be your fasting the month of Ramadan, your relationship with your family, your work, ethics,
whatever it is, whatever you do, you do it. Having Allah subhanahu wa taala in your mind all the
time that Allah is watching me that Allah is always watching me. If you are in a position where you
are able to commit a sin, immediately, you know Allah is watching and you move away.
		

			When you wear your clothes in the morning, you look at yourself in the mirror and you asked the
question, that is Allah is pleased with being what I'm wearing today. Not will that person be
pleased with me. Always Allah in your mind, in every aspect of your life in everything that you do.
This is a level of sin. Try to imagine my brothers and sisters, if we had this in our hearts in our
minds, if we had this thought that Allah is constantly watching me all the time. Let me ask you a
question. Wouldn't our actions be close
		

			to perfect, wouldn't we want perfection in our life? Wouldn't we want to please Allah through this?
Of course, we would make sure that we will try to be as perfect as we can because our Creator is
watching us. Therefore my brothers and sisters, I will give you a few tips of how to increase our
Eman how to become closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala. Number one,

Hadith where the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam in the situation where Abu Bakar and the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wasallam were in the cave, and Abu Bakr said, Yara surah Allah, all they have to
do is just look inside and they'll see us there. What did the Prophet say? Yeah, Babak? How will it
be that you know that two of us is us, me and you and the third is Allah subhanho wa Taala. It is
Allah who protects us in every possible outcome. It is Allah subhanho wa Taala, who protects us in
		

			every situation, we do not have to worry about anybody else. If you want to get close to anybody in
your life, you of course learn that person's name. You learn who that person is, you learn
everything about that person, the attributes and so on. Then if you want to get close to Allah,
learn Allah's names, learn a lesson 99 names, learn his attributes. This is a way you can get close
to Allah subhanho wa Taala as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he said, in Allah He decided

learns it and acts upon it will enter Paradise, such a beautiful Hadith. So if you want to be close

			be people who come to the masjid and perform the Salah.

associate yourselves with people who will take you away from Allah and take you towards sin. As the

			And they asked, he asked him, look at what you're doing to your brothers. They are being burnt.
Leave your religion. He said, I will never leave my religion. The King got really upset. And he told
his army to take up to live in Philadelphia to be burnt. And now right in front of the fire, who as

leave his religion bring him back. So he came back. And the king said, Are you ready to leave your

			The king was so amazed by his response. He said to him look
		

			if you do one thing for me, I will release you and the Muslims just one thing. He said What is that?
He said kiss my forehead. All you have to do is kiss my forehead. I will release you and the
remaining Muslims who are captives here so Abdullah thought for a while
		

			he 45 cases forehead, I'm not leaving my religion or not committing shook. I will save these Muslims
