We often we often eat, and then you when you by the time you feel you're full. You're already stuffed. Right you feel you're full and so you stop eating. And then after that the signal comes like you're way over
there you can breathe anymore.
And that's why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, he said yes, we live near Adam. Yuck We live near Adam
no payment
to Kim nosodes.
Yet, Filipina Adam, it's enough for the son of Adam, to eat just a few morsels that will help him to stand straight, you know, healthier of you to stay and give you the energy to stand.
And so if that's enough, that's enough. So because we eat just a little bit, it's already enough your body says it's okay. But then sometimes it doesn't send the signal yet. So that's why if you were to stop, then you will realize after 10 minutes that you're for
your for, but if you keep on eating to the 10 minutes, then you just ate to have 10 minutes more worth 10 minutes more worth of food that you didn't even need that extra. Okay, that's extra. So then he said, For in Canada, but if you have to, and make sure you eat, say with third for food, a third for a third for water, and a third for air.
Third, for food 1/3 for water 1/3 What does that mean? Also,
this is one something that many of us,
you know, neglect, the amount of food you eat,
should be the same as the water that you drink.
Because the Prophet saw most of them said 1/3 for food 1/3 for water 1/3 for air, food and water are the same.
Absolutely, water are the same. And then 1/3 for air. And of course most of us during Ramadan, that 1/3 is, you know, there's not it's not even there, the third for air is not there. So
you're trying to stand up straight and looking and you're really looking for air because there's no more space for you to even breathe so difficult to read. Because we're all stuff. One of the, one of the one of the scholars, you know, they sit down eat. And some of the students were saying, Chef, you know, like, you just spoke about 1/3 1/3 for EU food 1/3 For everyone's there for water. And he's like, the other stop eating, the chef still eating.
And everyone the brother, you know, when somebody said to him, right, so he said, he said, Everybody's third is different.
Like your third is smaller, my third is big.
Leading one, I'm still eating my third, but my third takes longer.
So
another thing
we mentioned,
of course,
is anything that distracts you. And one of the things that distracts you more than anything else, even more than sometimes even more than food
is when you need to use the bathroom.
When you need to use the bathroom. Or when you need to.
You know, sometimes you you feel the need to pass gas.
For the need to pass gas. I don't want to break down with a little.
Let me pray first, then I'll release it. Let me pray first. And so what should you do?
If this is the case, if even if it's prayer time, sometimes you come to the masjid. Right. And the Imam has started praying already. But you know, you feel the need to pray you need to go to the bathroom. Should you go if you go to the bathroom, the prayer is gonna be over.
If you catch up for the prayer, and Salah you pray and you can still go to the bathroom afterwards. Right? But you will be praying. But you will pray when you're trying to hold back. Whether it's urine, defecation or urination or passing gas. If this if you're coming to the masjid and you feel the need again is sometimes you go you use the bathroom already.
Sometimes you feel it. But you also have to be very careful. Also, you might feel it in for some people, it's worse worse.
Some people the shaytaan
the shaytans whispers in your ear you might need to use the bathroom.
And then when you stand up the prey you don't even think of it. You don't feel anything.
You don't feel anything. So sometimes that happens, where like right now, I'm pretty sure many of us were here. Just because I'm talking about using a bathroom. Many of you are thinking about going
right? Am I right? Like where should I go or not?
But do you really need to some of us do need to. But many sometimes you don't. Sometimes it's just just your thought thinking about it, you feel it?
Right? You feel it. So that's
It depends, every one is different. Sometimes it's vice versa. And sometimes it's real. And sometimes it's as soon as you say Allahu Akbar, it's gone, right? But in this case, you're if you really need to go, it's always best to go. It's always best to go. But sometimes even if you don't go, you don't feel it. It's just because anytime you want to use a bathroom, you can always use a bathroom, right? Well, how much comes up?
Nothing, just a few drops. If every single time this happens, if it happens often every single time and then then just go pray, it's actually just you know, the shaytan is just trying to delay you because He will do anything
to make to help you to make your delay, even if it's not net even if you don't need it. So you also have to, you have to also know yourself, and know that this was what the shaitan does. If some people sometimes this happens, so but in general, if you feel that need to use the bathroom, then use the bathroom first. Before you go pray. Because the prophets of Allah I think he was having said that I need them. Last salata. Be humble, Be humble at a bar.
There is no prayer. When food is there.
When food is already served,
food is in front of you ready? While our Who are you dafair Who

is it permissible? Is it is your prayer valid? Because some scholars have said
if you're holding back your urine because the Prophet sallallahu sallam said in addy La Salette that we have already talked about at the time,

You're gonna get your bonus. And if you if you did something bad also you might have to pay.
Also, right? But if you don't go to work, then
you get fired. And so it's like some people who you know, when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned that someone who goes to a rough and oh Kathina someone who goes to a fortune teller
or soothsayer to ask him and he believes in them. You know, of course that way, you know, or even if you go and you don't believe you just you just go just for fun. Or some people read horse horoscopes just for fun. And there's some narrations that mentioned that someone who does so will not have his prayers be accepted for how many days 4040 4040 days. So does that mean okay President accepted anyways? I'm not gonna I don't need to pray. No, you need to pray.
You need to pray because you don't pray.
And then according to many scholars, you're outside the fold of Islam. So in other words, you don't pray, you're fired. Right? It's like, but if you go, you go you did something so bad that if you go used to you don't get any salary or
you did something so bad that you go, you don't get your salary and other let's say you did, you know, you messed up, you broke something and you're liable for it. And so now you have to work to pay for that off. So you're not getting paid this month. But if you don't go, you're not going to have a job. Not gonna have a job. If you go, you're not gonna get paid. So when someone prays the prayer is valid. You don't have to pray again.
But you have to, you can but you still have to pray.
You don't have to pray over your prayer is accepted in terms of the validity, but not in terms of reward. So last salata be Huberty thiamin will allow you that when you die here, who better? And so as I mentioned the same thing, that the same thing goes with someone,
and who, someone who needs to use for someone who needs to pass gas. Now there are certain people though,
there are certain types of people who may be because because of sickness, they might have, they can't control it. Right, so they can't even hold them the urine. So they might have urine, they have urinary incontinence. So it's always dripping, always dripping. And sometimes because of a person, somebody has bladder problems, they always feel it.
You understand? There's some that it's a sickness. May Allah subhana, Allah protect us. It's a sickness. So they might always feel it, even if they don't feel it don't have any years, like just a few drops, but there are always going to feel it. And sometimes they can control it in a drips. So in these particular situations, in cases, this is specific cases where they can't hold it. Even if they lose, they make will do for every single prayer. Even when it comes out. They continue to pray.
They continue to pray the same level as someone who has problems with gas. And you can't hold it. You can't hold it and it's just, you can't hold it for the amount of prayer amount of that prayer. And it's due to sickness. It's due to sickness. And then this case, even if it comes out, then you can still continue a prayer because this is not doing to normal. This is normal normal circumstances, but this is due to sickness.
So this particular Hadith, indicates that salata Juma, congregational prayer, for those who say that it's mandatory for some scholars or the opinion that's mandatory, when one is able to, like some of the nabla are of the opinion that it is mandatory. So this is a proof that salata GMR, mandatory, even if they consider it mandatory, it doesn't become mandatory, when food is in front of you. That means it at a lower lowers in status in terms of its status, its obligations. And so this is, of course, this entails this when it comes to food. It's for if you're praying by yourself, or if you're praying with the Jamaat. So what do I mean by that? When you come home, and you're really
hungry? You're really hungry. You came home? I mean, in the masjid, they already prayed. Right? They already prayed used to have a little bit of time. Should you eat first? Yes, you should. What if the food is where the food is not ready. But it's almost there. And if you stay up to pray, standard pray, it's, you're gonna be bothered by it.
And normally, if you know that the food is not ready. Right? The food is not ready. Even if you wait, it's not going to be ready. You can pray. Because if you're instead of just waiting there, instead of waiting there, what do you get? What do you game you? You're not gonna eat anything anyways, there's no food coming. Right? But if food can come, you can go get the food. Let's say you're serving yourself. Right? The food is already ready. It's by choice. Now you you go eat or you go pray. You can go eat, and you're hungry. If you if you don't, you're going to be distracted. And in this case, you can go eat. Well eat first until you until you fall if you still have time, if you
still have time because of the importance of being focused in your prayer, so
there's a rule here. I

You should do one because one, then you'll be able to catch the prayer. Why so the virtues the virtues that are connected to the objective
take precedence over the virtues that are connected to the means.

take precedence over virtues of the time, praying earlier is better. But you can ignore the time and move the time.

of focusing on your prayer even if it causes you to lose the virtue of time.

The virtues in an action take precedence over virtues of a place

But if you go too close, then it's difficult. It's difficult for you to apply all the sudden in terms of the tawaf because you won't be able to go you don't you don't control your pace,

Right and so that one should also only be uncovered during the first three after that you cover it up. And so some people when they make home run house, they leave this open the whole time.

Are you giving sadaqa and charity, the best thing to do is to not do it at all. To not show
other people No, of course, the best I mean, not doing you should always give charity, right? The best thing to do is not to show off, did not to do it in the open, you give. But if by giving in the open, let's say there's a fundraiser and you're like I want to give and you want to raise your hands, let everyone know. So that they will be encouraged to give, also, then that's something that's positive, right. So the same way, if you are at a lecture, or at a conference, and you want you want to take a picture that you're at a conference, to let people know, to let people know so that they can come.
You know, like, hey, you know what, at this conference here, you guys met amazing come, you guys have to come. So you're encouraging others to come and do enjoy and good. know, you want to encourage but when it comes to, like, you know, vacations and dunya matters not.
Because you're not encouraged, you don't want to encourage people to go to Hawaii.
They're not getting any rewards, or you're just gonna make people jealous. Jealous of you. Right? So there's no positives here. There's no positive, I don't know, maybe there is a locker but but you know, there are some people who are like struggling and they're like, Oh, you're on vacation all the time. And they might not be happy seeing those pictures, and you might cause problems in their family or their wife might come and say, like, why so and so always vacationing look, and what are you doing? Why don't why don't why don't we go? Right.
And the brothers like struggling day and night trying to me, you're trying to pay the bills, and so forth. And the other guys like yeah, they feel like, you know, you they might be jealous of it. And they might cause problems because some people show things in social media. That's not Yeah. In terms of they show they show things and their profile or what what they show on social media is not what
really happening in their life.
Sometimes there's there they have terrible problems, a lot of problems, everything but they show they don't show that you don't see the bad stuff. You don't see that you only see the good thing and you might be in a better situation than them. But just because they showed the picture and like in vacationing here does not mean that they are richer than you. Maybe they're bigger debt but they just don't know how to keep, you know, spend their money. Right and so, and then, if there's no good when it comes to social media, it's just like talking. If you don't have anything good to say, don't say
if you don't have any good to post anything beneficial to post don't post it.
