The Qur'an is the guidance from Allah
for all of humanity.
The Qur'an is the greatest
miracle that humanity has ever witnessed and interacted
with.
However, we cannot fully understand and appreciate that
Qur'an unless and until we completely devote
and dedicate ourselves to learning from and learning
about and understanding the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad
ﷺ.
Allah tells us in the Qur'an لَقَدْ
That indeed, Allah showered His blessings
upon the believers when He sent amongst them
رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ a Messenger who would be from
He would recite
the signs of God the verses of God
upon the people وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ and He would purify
them وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةِ and He would teach
them the Qur'an and how to live
the Qur'an.
So as much as we love the Qur
'an and we believe in the Qur'an
we can't even fully live it without the
example, the sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.
In another verse Allah ﷻ tells us that
Allah told the Prophet ﷺ in surah number
16 that this Qur'an was sent to
you, O Muhammad ﷺ so that you could
unpack it and explain it for the people.
So without the explanation of the Prophet ﷺ
our understanding and knowledge of the Qur'an
is deficient.
And then let me go ahead and close
here by talking about the negative side of
it.
What if somebody says, you know what, I
don't need it.
I don't need it.
Well, what about that case?
Allah tells us in surah an-Nisa
Allah swears that these people will not
believe, they will not be true believers unless
and until they accept you, O Muhammad ﷺ
as an authority within their lives.
So without the Prophet's authority even our belief
in Islam is incomplete.
That's why we learn, we study, and we
practice the sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.
Jazakum Allah Khayran.
