In the last couple of sessions, we've been talking about the second year of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam as residents in the city of Medina, what we call the second year of higit. Ah, this is the second year of the
prophets a lot. He said I'm settling in Medina and giving firm roots to the Muslim community in the city of Medina. So now this is the headquarters This is the base of operations. This is where everything is happening from everything is going on. Now, in the course of this what we talked about, we of course covered the first year, we're into the second year, we're about halfway a little bit past the halfway mark of the second year in the city of Medina, there's been a couple of very, very important events, mainly the first three what we call because a lot. The first three prophetic campaigns have taken part here in the first part of the second year of higit. All were the prophets,
a lot of them alongside, you know, many of these companions radi Allahu Allah on the Sahaba may Allah be pleased with them. They've traveled outside of Medina, and they've engaged with different groups and different tribes and some of the Bedouin people that live around the vicinity in the area of the city of Medina. Now, in last week's session, we talked about a very interesting event. And this is a very, very, very important event because it leads to what we know as one of the most landmark events in Islamic history. And that is the Battle of button. The great battle of bundler the great victory that our last panel Rotella granted to the believers to the Muslims at the place
of button, the occasion of button
and that was the city of Abdullah bin Josh Abdullah bin Joshua is a Qureshi who is a Mahajan, and a cousin of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the prophets, a lot of these had sent him out to kind of scout a certain region that was between Mecca and thought if and to kind of keep an eye on that area. And of course, as we talked about last time, he ended up taking some extreme measures that the prophets a lot of December had not given him licensed to do. And because of that, in the sacred months, a person from who was killed, two men were captured, and then they were brought back to Medina by this group of Muslims. The Prophet sallahu sin was, of course very upset at this act,
that the Sahaba took this action that was not sanctioned by the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Nevertheless, what happened as a response to that was, the propaganda machine started to turn in Mecca, and the mccanns in the Quran, basically use this as an opportunity to launch a whole propaganda and a whole campaign against the Muslims that look, nothing is sacred to Mohammed, nothing is sacred to these Muslims, they will violate everything sanctified, everything that is sacred in our lives. If we let these people have their way, look, they killed a person in the sacred months. They did this. Now, Allah subhanaw taala, of course, issued the response, divinely, that Allah subhanaw taala does say yes, revealed to the Prophet sallallahu sallam. Yes aluna Anisha Hari

Italian fee cabbie was sadena answer be laggy Baku from behavioral muscle haraam We heard you earlier. baru in the love that they asked you about fighting in the sacred month, tell them that is bad. That is wrong, that is not allowed. However, what's even worse than that is persecuting people, extracting people from their homes, kicking them out from their lands from their homes, not allowing people to freedom of religion and to be able to practice the whatever way of life they choose for themselves. This is a greater evil in the eyes of God will fitna to Putin and causing this type of societal causing this type of chaos in society is a greater harm than an isolated incidents where
one person died and that is being remedied and taken care of that is being handled properly. But what you people have done is you've created chaos across the board in society, you've thrown everything. You've turned everything upside down, that's a lot worse. So think about what you're doing. And the reason why I kind of bring this up again, is that I didn't get a chance to talk
About this last time, Abdullah bin tjahaja de la hotel Anna, you know, the Arabs are a very eloquent people. And they were, they were masters of this language and Abdullah bin jahaz you know coming from a Qureshi background coming from Mecca, where they had a huge culture. It was a huge part of their cultural heritage, to engage in poetry and to recite poetry. Our beloved geohash actually recited some poetry at this occasion. He says the aduna catiline Philharmonia Athena to other women who lo Yara urrutia Rashi do Sudoku mama yaku mohammadu Baku from will be here we're lucky right in Russia he do. Diani do so he basically says that you are saying that we a murder occurred in the sacred month and that's a big deal. But what's greater than that is what you've done. But you need intelligence and guidance to be able to see the light. You don't see the light you don't see things for what they are. You have been preventing Muhammad sallallahu alayhi salam from his message. You've disbelieved in Muhammad, while Allah subhanho wa Taala has
been watching all of this and Eliza witness against you. You've kicked out the people from the harem who are rightful residents of that land. The Allah Juran in LA he Phil Beatty, sadly due to the point now where if you go to the GABA, you go to Macau, you go to the Haram today, you don't see a single person sincerely doing such de before Allah subhanaw taala as Allah deserves, as that place of God that house of God deserves. So you people, even though you might be blaming us for a murder we committed, admittedly, and we are regretful for this. But you have declared war against Islam out of nothing but hatred and jealousy. Yes, we shed blood of ignorant Hydra me. But we have offered
reparations for that. And the DIA the blood money was given to the family of Abraham ramita makan that was killed. But he says that, but our beloved, even
Earth minute know Abdullah, who was one of the captains, he says he is still alive and safe in amongst us. And we will release him back to his family into his people. So he puts everything into perspective. And I just thought it was very beautiful, how he kind of puts that into perspective.
Now going forward after the incident of Abdullah bin geohash, we are now in the month of Rajab, the month of Rajab, then obviously, it's a month of Siobhan and then the month of Ramadan, the Battle of butter occurs in the month of Ramadan. And we'll be talking about it as we proceed through the calendar, the chronology of the serum. Right now we're in the month of Rajab, now there's a little bit of a difference of opinion, the next major event that takes place is called the Qibla. The turning of the direction of the prayer. That is the next major event in Islamic history that occurs in the second year of Egypt, the second year of the prophets, a lot of reasons residents in the city
of Medina, there's a difference of opinion amongst the historians and amongst the scholars of Sita. Whether the turning of the peddler occurred in the month of Rajab, or it occurred in the month of Shaban, there's a little bit of a difference of opinion. Many of the scholars of Sita, who came a little bit later obviously the earlier scholars of Sita are folks like even his hoc, even he Sham alacati, I'll be happy so on so forth, even cathedra himolla huta Allah who is again another authoritative scholar of, of history in this era, but he comes a little bit afterwards and that's why he, a lot of times will filter through a lot of their narrations and, you know, confirm and
reaffirm and kind of reconcile some of the different durations. Even Kathy Rahim Allahu taala. His assessment is that the fact that it occurred in the month of Shabbat is a little bit more authoritative. There's more evidence pointing to the fact that it occurred in the month of Shabbat. The evidence that points to the fact that it occurred in the month of Rajab is there are some narrations where some of the Sahaba say that the Qibla changed the Qibla turned in 16 or 17 months after the prophets a lot asylums arrival in the city of Medina. And when you when you estimate when you calculate 1617 months you land basically in a month of Rajab, but even Kathy says, they're
basically guesstimating they're kind of averaging it out. It was something like like we would say, it was a
Few months, it was a dozen or so months, it was about a year and a half. When I say it was about a year and a half, it could have been 15 months, it could have been 18 months, it could have been 17 months, it could have been 16 months, it could have been a number of different timeframes. But I say it was about kind of like a year and a half. He's saying that that's what they're referring to. So it's not really authoritative. But there are specific narrations would say the month of Shabbat. And that's basically what we will refer to as well, that the Qibla change in the month of Shabbat. I'll walk Ed, who is another historian and a scholar of the cedaw. He's a source of the cedaw.
He has a very interesting narration that is not very strong and authentic. But he pinpoints the exact day. He says that it occurred in the middle of the month of Siobhan on it on a Tuesday. He gets that specific error occurred on a Tuesday, in the middle of the month of Siobhan but even Kathy says that stretching it Buffy has a dandini novel. He says that making it that specific is not correct. It's not authentic. Nevertheless, in the middle of the month of Siobhan, what occurs. So the crippler up till this point, now let's think about since when as profits a lot they said, I've been praying.
This is something we've talked about at length. Here in our study of the life of the prophets, a lot of these in this era. We've talked about this at length, we know that the five times daily prayer became mandated when
what's the incident called everybody, at least an hour with me? Not very good, at least robbing me on the journey by night to Jerusalem in the ascension above the heavens. That is when the five times daily prayer became obligated, as we know it today. fudge it a little what awesome motivation. All right. But the Prophet sallallahu Sallam was praying since the very first day of revelation
gibreel Allah Islam came and taught the prophets a lot he said we'll do and then taught him Salaam he started praying from the very first day. When did he used to pray, how much should he use to pray? We don't have a lot of details. One thing we know is that the prophets a lot. He said, we used to pray throughout the day. And he especially would pray whenever he felt the need to pray whenever he ran into some situation, he felt overwhelmed by his mission by his cause, by the circumstances he would pray.
Secondly, the Quran also tells us McCann revelation that his pre is throbbing Mirage tells us that the prophets a lot he said, we used to specifically pray by the command of Allah by the verses of the Quran used to pray in the morning and in the evening, kind of like fudger and Asa, that the ability to do a sham see, well Kabbalah Guru beha like we see in sort of by many other suitors of the Quran that are makin early McCann MIDMARK. And so they used to pray at least twice a day. And then of course, we know through certain resentment, that there was a third prayer, the prophets, a lot of them consistently observed throughout the early muckin period and throughout his mission, and
that was at the 100 that the MLA in the night prayer. So three times a day used to pray for sure. The night prayer, what we call fudger prayer, and what we call a sort of prayer. And then Aside from that, the prophets a lot of them would, as we say, offered to the gods, whenever he felt the needy, that hasn't been Ramadan. fuzzer is Allah, alright? And he taught his wife to pray, and he taught his nephew, I need to pray. And he taught all the believers as soon as they would accept a song, he would teach him to pray. In fact, they used to pray together in the house of our club, that will come in the days of Makkah. So keep in mind the prophets a lot, has been praying since the beginning
of the mission. What was the Qibla? So the Qibla, from the very first day, the direction of the prayer, from the very first day was Bay to lock this in Jerusalem.
And Masood Azhar beta lock this in Jerusalem. All right, the Sacred House of God that is in Jerusalem, the prophets a lot. He said, we used to pray in that direction. And that also happened to be the direction in which the animal Kitab like the Jews, they used to pray in that direction as well. So the prophets, a lot of them observed that prayer. At the same time, though, we do have authentic narrations in the words of the prophets a lot he said them, which lead us to know that Ibrahim alayhis salam used to pray towards the GABA the beta law in Makkah.
So the prophets, a lot of them had a longing because he was a descendant of Ibrahim alayhi salam. He was reviving the middle of Ibrahim, he was at the city and the place that was founded by Ibrahim, the prophet from autism had this longing. He was a responsive to Dr. Ibrahim. Alright, so he had this longing to pray in the direction of Ibrahim, and that was Gabba Baitullah and Masood Haram in Makkah. Now, while the prophets a lot of these him resided in Mecca, there was no problem. It was very simple. It was very easy. The solution was right there in front of him literally. And that was the prophets a lot. He seldom used to stand in front of the garbage
while still being aligned with beta mark this because he has a carbon right here right he can stand on any side of the Kaaba and pray. So used to pray on the side of the Garbo where he would be aligned facing both the GABA and through the GABA he'd be also facing albedo knock this mushy lochsa. And it was a very simple solution. And that's how the profits a lot of them observed prayer throughout the Macan period. And during his time in muckety, muck aroma.
After his run after migration, though, the Prophet sallallahu Sallam was now faced with a dilemma. He was faced with a dilemma.
And that was Medina was between Mecca and between Jerusalem.
So now the prophets a lot of them could not pray both towards both Mecca and Jerusalem. GABA and beta democritus you can pray towards both. And in fact, to the real troubling thing to the prophets a lot he said them, The difficult thing for him was that when he would pray towards maintenance, this, his back would be towards the Kaaba. So it wasn't like even just the same general direction. None of it was the complete opposite. But this is what tells you this is what shows you the obedience of the prophets a lot. He said, um, and the example that he gave for us in terms of obedience to Allah, that the prophets a lot he said them obey the command of a lot in spite of his
inclination, and his emotions and his emotional spiritual attachment to the Kaaba. He prayed towards Peyton macness. Even if that necessitated, putting his back towards the Kaaba. He did what Allah told him to do. But the ahaadeeth mentioned their narrations in the Muslim Ummah, Muhammad, and even in the Sahih Hadith in Bukhari and Muslim. There are narrations which tell us that the prophets a lot of these women continued to make dua and ask Allah to grant him permission to be able to pray towards the Kaaba in Mecca.
He kept making dua, and the Prophet somebody said was very hopeful we kind of learned a little bit about the etiquette of da you know how hopeful the Prophet sallallahu Sallam was that it would be accepted sooner or later, it would be accepted. There's an incident again, we've already talked about this, if you recall, that when some of the early people the early Muslims from Medina, the bay bay Atilla acaba, Athenaeum the second time that the Muslims from Medina to Bay I gave the oath of allegiance to the prophets a lot, he said, and when that incident took place, there was an elder of the people of Medina, an elder of yesterday an elder of Medina, a leader of their tribe, very
elderly man, like almost to the point where he was kind of like, you know, like a really old person somewhat senile even. Right. And so he was traveling to Makkah from Medina. Right and there was a whole group of Muslim travel like 6070 something Muslims were traveling, and on the way there whenever time for Salah would come because in the shower Mirage has already happened. And wasabi namita has been teaching them how to pray. So they used to pray. So while they were traveling, they would stop and they were offered Salah. And they were taught they were told especially because they lived in Medina, they were trained, you pray towards Betamax this praying towards Mecca praying
towards the Kaaba was not even an option that was on the table. So when they would stop and they would pray, this old man says no, I ain't gonna pray in that direction. I ain't gonna do it.
I'm gonna pray towards the Kaaba in Mecca. I just, I just know it in my heart. I'm gonna do this. And the reason why I mentioned specifically was a very elderly man, cuz people tried to kind of explain to him like, I move on, go, come on, please. We got everybody turn just a little bit. Join everybody in Salaam Bismillah. And he's an only me alone. Don't tell me what to do. Right? And that was it. That was the end of that. And he's like, I'm gonna and he's praying in a complete opposite direction for the rest of the drama. Like I don't care what people are doing. I'm going to pray in this direction. Then they get to Mecca.
Now when they get to Mecca, he says he narrates it himself, the elderly man he says I felt kind of guilty. I felt kind of bad. And he got to meet the prophets a lot even before all the other Muslims of Medina got to meet the process. And because he was such an elder leader of his tribe that he was friends with Ibis, the uncle of the prophets, a lot of stuff. So he goes and meets our boss and he says, Why don't you make introductions between me and your nephew?
So he got kind of an in a boss, the uncle of the process. And then of course, promises I'm like, island was Island might have been, right. This is his, um, this is his uncle. And then he says, Well, I wanted to introduce you to this elder of his people, full of new food on and then he sits down and he basically says jasola Lai, Muslim unbeliever? I got a little bit of a question. I got a little bit of a question.
This is what I did. I prayed in the other direction. The prophets, a lot of them told them look, the command of Allah right now is that you pray towards Beit democritus
And of course being Mohammed also likes him domantas me Anna wattana semirara wattana right. But then the process I'm told him something very interesting. He said lo sabaneta la sobre
lo sobre la la Santa said when he told him was if you would have kept praying towards the Kaaba without bringing it up to me see now that you told me I gotta tell you no, you gotta pray towards this. But if you would have kept praying towards the Kaaba without talking to me eventually you would have been correct wink wink right so Hannah La Liga yes clean of the profits a lot of these companies do and this is like four years before this like three almost four years before that people are turned but he already knew that my Allah will accept my da and we will pray towards the GABA
we will pray towards the Cabo my brother and so Subhana Allah that just this the all the different pieces are not connecting. All the different pieces are not connecting. So now the profits a lot is residing in the city of Medina. He's praying towards me to them after this he keeps making is
in in the middle of the month of Shaban, the prophets a lot of finishes praying a lot of door and after some latos law to the profits, a lot of them sometimes we'll take a little break but sometimes when the need was there, the profits a lot he said would remain in the machine and handle any type of community affairs. Like things that needed to be done that it to do list the profits, a lot of people would kind of if anything was remaining on the to do list for the community, the prophets, a lot of them will check off those remaining items after the door. So he's kind of taking care of things in Djibouti Ronnie Salam comes to the prophets a lot he says.
And he says codon ne brings him the ayat from Surat Al Baqarah Katana erotica Luba YG, Kofi sama
carnera we have seen the Kaluga YG Kofi sama in your face turning up to the sky in anticipation of this token coming falana Walia Nakula tanto de hacer para la the the way Allah talks about is so unbelievable before I like even names that they'd like he says that we will without a doubt turn you in the direction that will please you Yeah, Muhammad.
The first name given to the fibula before Allah talks about what it is, is that is that the blood that will please you your hubby, Phil anyone? Leanna calculate enter Baja. And then Allah says for one Li word hacker shatta al Masjid al Haram. Now your own Beloved, now turn your face in the direction of intimacy to Hara.
Kava to Shetty Phi Beta login haraam FEMA kettle mocha Rama. Now turn your direction in the face in the direction of the, of the Kaaba, and that is your Qibla and that is the direction that you will pray in now.
And so when the prophets a lot he said and prayed Salaam to Lhasa
he prayed it into so the narration says that Windows IO and this came down when this whole revelation there's a whole passage in shall I'm going to go through it and we'll talk about some of the some of the benefits in the heycome in the lessons, the take home lessons that we get from this. But when this was revealed the prophets a lot of them basically had told bulama the Allahu taala on who to gather the people gathered the people and everyone was gathered in the machine the profits a lot of them issued the command.
We will pray now in the direction of mucca Gabba to sharifa Bay to log in Harare, muckety muck karma, we're going to pray in that direction now. Bismillah and they pray to us them in that direction. Now the prophets a lot he said them, you know, he informs them and by this time there are some there are some satellites masalas satellite prayer places that have been established in certain areas. One of the first ones that was established Of course we know is a Muslim Koba, that was a full fledged Masjid Of course not in the center was in a Jamia they didn't pray Juma either. They didn't pray Juma there but they used to pray there five times a day. The other place where they used
to pray a couple of prayers a day as needed, was the masjid of boo salema. And that was closest, right that was literally like another area another neighborhood of Medina.
So as they started to pray officer, one of the companions of the prophets a lot he sent him goes out to the people of New Selma to inform them. The problem is that by the time he reaches the place of the new salema they've already started answer prayer.
They've already started praying, awesome. So the narration says that the messenger, he basically walks in, and he proclaims, he sees them all praying in the in the opposite direction.
And so he walks in and he claims he says, I shall do Billa
How do we learn? I bear witness before God left on Sunday to MonaVie Salallahu alaihe salam, aka Bella Makkah, I prayed with the prophets, a lot has him in the direction of Mecca. So that implies that he prayed to us and with the promises and he went out there and he caught them still praying awesome. So he said that I prayed with the prophets allowed him in the direction of Mecca for Tao, comma home cable bait
for daru home cable bait, so they turned as they were in the direction of they completely turned around. And one generation specifically says a narration brought by Mr. mamod, specifically says that they were in record. And they all turned around and record. And how does that exactly work. So everybody, wherever they were sending, they just turned around 180. And the Imam basically walked all the way around to the other side and stood in front of them. And that is a permissible act. And from that we actually even extrapolate from our fic that if you find somebody praying towards the wrong direction, you can actually go and physically turn that person. Or if you are bringing the
wrong direction, and somebody comes and says, hey, you're praying in the wrong direction.
And you understand and realize that you are praying in the wrong direction, you can actually turn within your prayer. we extrapolate from that.
So they all turned within their prayer and started praying in the right direction. And that incidents, the masjid ibnu salema, is basically the machine that we know today. And a machine that many times people visit when they go to Medina today, as much as possible attain.
If you ever go for aamra hygiene, you go to the mercy of the prophets a lot each time you go to visit the city of Medina, and you go and you see the machine commerce chain.
Right, that's the machine where this incident took place. But that wasn't the only incidents.
Obama was a little bit outside of Medina. And basically since this happened at ossur time, right, and
because at that point in time in the calendar, it's very possible that the month of Siobhan might have been more toward the winter months, that they're shortly after us and motive time came right in there wasn't a lot of time. And once it got dark, typically, people would not travel, people wouldn't go out too far.
So nobody got out to Cuba. Till the following morning.
Nobody got out to Cuba till the following morning. But while the people of Cuba were praying Salatin further, some narrations basically say that while they were praying some often budget, and especially because they used to implement the advice of the profits, a lot of US federal budget for who
they used to pray their funds are a little bit later. Right. Like if you split your time into two parts, they would pray at the beginning of the half of the budget time, right. So if budget time kicks in at 6am, and your time expires, Li like will say 7am just round to work with round numbers, it's easier than they would prefer your time like at 630.
So because, you know it starts to brighten up a little bit and that's the meaning of as far as somebody was able to reach out there. And they basically walked in on them praying in towards de beighton about this Jerusalem. And again, the announcement was made and they again turned in the middle of their prayer. And they started praying towards the Kaaba. And now officially the Qibla the Kaaba had completely turned unchanged. Now, for our benefits.
What I'd like to do is
for our benefit, what I'd like to do is kind of go through that passage that is there in the beginning of the second juice, which is in the middle of pseudo tillbaka where Allah subhanaw taala specifically talks about the turning and the changing of the Qibla and this is smack dab in the middle of sort of Bukhara
so Allah subhanaw taala revealed the IOD say abou super hot Oh, mina nassima Allahu Allah Chica Allah,
that very soon foolish people, foolish people from amongst the people. They will say that what turned them away from their active lead that they used to be upon lilla Hill machico will tell them to toe to Allah alone belongs to East in the West. Yeah, the manga Shangri La serata moussaka, and just today, you know, we were,
we were reading and deceit of him and I should, he actually talks about this and sort of to the hub that when you mentioned the two parts or the two portions of something, you basically are implying that everything in between also falls into
The same token is from Ooh, that is like if you say a bottle bottle. And Marcia will Malibu right that if you say that the east and the west, right are such and such, then everything in between them also falls under the same token falls under the same ruling. All right. So pulling in
the Far East is for a lot of for Western for a low which means what? everything in between is for Allah. All right. Yeah, the manga Chateau de la Serato moussaka man, Allah, He guides whomsoever He wills to the straight path, which means what? That praying towards a new Qibla is a straight path. And if you haven't realized that, that just means that God hasn't guided you. So it's taking a little jab back at them. You know, this is basically what we talked about, that sometimes you don't have to respond to all the haters, let alone respond on your behalf. don't respond to the haters. Sometimes people talk that's what they do below a call. They call it in Arabic people do what they
got to do, but you do what you got to do. And don't worry about responding to every single person. You know, this is going to be a bit of a tangent May Allah forgive me, but we were reading into Tafseer of civitella HAZOP. Today, if you read some of the HAZOP you know what's fascinating? Allah subhanaw taala talks about the very difficult situation scenario. And we're going to come across this in the sea dogs. I'm going to skip over a lot of details, but a lot of talks about the very difficult situations in the life of the prophets, a lot of them were the prophets. A lot of these lm proposes marriage between Zaid bin haritha his adopted son, quote, unquote, and Xena been to
Joshua's his cousin,
Zainab radi Allahu taala, whose family's not too comfortable with the proposal.
Allah reveals the IOM. Meanwhile, Amina Ilakaka Mahara Zulu, Imran, here, Amina Maria, that if God in His Messenger decreased something, then it's not befitting for a believer, man or woman to basically have any choice left in the in this situation. You gotta do what they tell you something. Tada. So they went ahead and they got married, things didn't work out. They weren't very compatible. And this occurred divinely in the life of the prophets, a lot of them so that we'd have a precedent for the fact that sometimes people are meant to be sometimes things don't work out. It's regrettable. It's, you know, it's not ideal, but it happens. So that things aren't working out. The
prophets, a lot of assumptions kind of counseling them and trying to emphasize is at mc collega zodac. What tequila, come on, be conscious of Allah. Maybe you got some things you can work on. But come on, try to work this out.
Eventually things don't work out. And they do separate and they do get divorced. And in seminary, it talks about a couple of years later.
After they separate seminaries and say a few months later, after they get separated. They get divorced and lost federal antenna tells the prophets a lot easier. For them NACA was a new Minotaur on zawada naka de la Guna Lika Lika Guna Alamo meanie Narayan Fie assuaging aim indica domina Ouattara now Allah subhanaw taala said we have already married you he didn't come into profits a lot he's into marries a nobodies that we have already married you design them
because that's best for everyone. Plus, it's setting the it's setting the record straight in regards to calling somebody your son doesn't actually make them your son.
And there's a lot of interesting detail in this that basically settles any type of misconceptions anyone could have about this situation because you have to read history
you have to read history right and so when you read the whole historical account it leaves actually you're not uncomfortable with the situation at all. Nevertheless now the promises of Mary's aina but of course then we're not gonna do what
party time
for the
for the critics for the phrase for the Jews party time. Right they have something that they can basically again use for false rumors. They start starts FEMA forever Laguna
right. That this that what Allah subhanaw taala decreed they just went to town with this they they started spreading all these false rumors. You know what's really fascinating? After Allah subhanaw taala talks about this whole scenario, you know what the next ayah is?
Yeah, you will Edina Amanullah the Quran kathira
Allah said don't respond. Think about it. These people are spreading malicious rumors about the prophets Allah, Allah. And Allah tells the believers make Vicar
make lots and lots of Vicar
oh that's not enough for sub be Hoopa Croton wa Ceylon
and then do this be in pray and make even more elaborate Vicar of a lot in the morning and in the evening? and everything and that's why I left his book was 11 in the morning make Vicar in the evening Mexican which means what? All day long make thicker, thicker, thicker.
The only time you shouldn't be making vigorous when you're asleep.
So if you're not sleeping McVicker and specifically the more fascino mentioned, our Allah was emphasizing here was what? don't respond to these people.
don't engage the haters. Right? I always remember this, just this little.
I don't know this nugget. I don't know what else to call it like this, this little idea that, you know, I used to hear like, elder our elders used to kind of tell us, right, they said that they would always say that if you're walking by, you know, if you're especially like in a residential neighborhood, if you're walking by and somebody's got a kind of like a really feisty dog in their backyard. The second you walk by, what does the dog do?
He goes crazy. He jumps up starts ramming the fence or barking his head off. What do you do? Do you sit there and start to bark back? Hopefully not? Hopefully not. Right? You don't. So just like you don't bark back at the dog, but you understand that you are of a higher standard and status. You're a human being when they come around? Nobody Adam, right? So you keep on walking. You keep on walking. Right? Same way here. So going back to what Allah subhanaw taala is saying here. don't respond to these haters. Mauer La Mancha, Villa de Mola, Kula Hill, Masha, Wilma, we worship Allah. Everything belongs to a loved brother. Yeah, and then a lot takes a shot. Yeah, deeming is shot
without Serato something. So if you don't get this, that means you obviously aren't on set optimal Supreme, which means God didn't guide you. I feel bad for you. All right, then Allah subhanaw taala says waka Delica janicoo Martin wasa. We have made you the best of people. That's why we've given you the best Qibla
Lisa kulu shuhada Alana Guna Rasulullah alikum shade so you may be a witness upon people and the messenger may be a witness upon you. And that's also part of the distinction of the oma all the other women pray towards one another. This Omar mohammedia pray towards both THEY BLESS
this ummah, Muhammad he is the unifying the oma because he prayed towards both tablers Masha Allah,
Allah, Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Rasool me mangyan kalibo Allah and Allah says that we did not turn and change your Qibla except to be able to know who will follow the messenger and from those people who will fall back, who will not follow the messenger, they will default, when ganache hubiera 10 illa Allah Allah Deena de la and this is going to be really tough to swallow. This is going to be a very bitter pill to swallow except for those people whom Allah has guided. And then Allah response to a question some of the believers now come to the prophets a lot of a sudden, and they say what happens to the prayers that we've already prayed towards the old Qibla? What happens to the people
who died and they used to pray towards the old kubla? Are they not amongst matassa?
Are they not at the same level as all of us now that we have prayed towards both God bless. So Allah response will not come along julio de Monaco. Allah will not waste your Eman along our way. Sure. emaan alone always your faith, when alleged referring to the question was what's going to happen to our prayer Salawat and Allah said Allah will not waste your EMA and Allah substituted the word Salah with the mon la de Monterrey, malice Allah tala who, because there is no human if you don't if you ain't got Salah, no Solano EMA
very, very powerful, very powerful. What that means is the prophets a lot of them said that the distinguishing
alfre Cobain and Emmanuel Kufa Salah,
the differentiating the demarcating line between the mind and cofely Sala the thing that protects your eemaan is your salon. The thing that keeps you on the right side of that balance is Sala. Maintain your prayer in the lobby Vanessa Lera Rahim Allah tala g Kofi sama, Villanova Leanna, calcula tanta baja for Hollywood aka shutter almasi haraam, we're Haytham icon for Hulu shutaura. Wherever you go from here on today, wherever you go traveling god's green earth, always face towards the Kaaba and pray towards the GABA wayna Latina Luton Kitab la Ala Moana and Nicole hakomi robbing him and these people who have been given the book these Jewish neighbors of yours they know that
this is the right way they know that this is God's way they know that this was instruction was given to you by Allah Himself. Well my luck would be laughing and I'm I'm alone and allies keeping full tabs of everything that these people are doing.
And that was fun. Rotella goes on to talk to the prophets a lot he said them. Well in Edina Otto kitabi Cooley is a matter of law tech. If you
Winter these people with every single sign every single possible form of proof, they will not follow your Qiblah mama and chubby chubby woman you of course are not going to default back to the old Qibla when they need to Badger our human body my jacket Miller in me in Nikita la mina Bali mean if you go back to joining them after guidance has come to you from your Lord, knowledge has come to you from Allah, then you will have been amongst the wrongdoing people you will have made a serious mistake. And then basically Allah subhanaw taala continues on from there. So these are the IOD they basically served as the turning point of where distributor changed. Now, what I want to talk about
last year is a couple of take home lessons from this whole incident of determining in the changing of the people that are really worthwhile that are things that we should really reflect upon.
Number one, the turning of the Qibla wasn't just some random thing. guess one of the things I forgot to mention a factual thing that is very important for the student of knowledge to know. There were IOD that were revealed before this shortly before this, Madeleine Sussman is in Oh, Louisiana TV, Haiti Manal mythri ha. This is called Mr. to NASA. The fact that a lot abrogates a lot of changes that come in, the previous command expires and the new command kicks in.
And Allah subhanaw taala had revealed the IR already that said never do we abrogate do we update the previous ruling except that we updated it with something that was equal or even better.
So meaning Allah had already planted the seed to let the believers know and be comfortable with the fact that Allah subhanaw taala it is very possible and plausible that Allah will update a previous command. He told you to pray towards beta democritus. And now he's updating that pray towards the GABA. The first message that took place in the history of Islam was the turning of the Qibla
was the turning of the Qibla.
And probably the most profound and the most powerful of all the elements of NASA that took place was the turning of the Qibla one that we live out every single day. All right, so that's one thing. Now, the turning of the kubla wasn't just some random thing. Just wake up one morning, let's just turn to Qibla wasn't like that it was very, extremely strategic and had a lot of wisdom behind it. First thing
when the Muslims lived in Mecca,
who were their neighbors, their non Muslim neighbors that they lived amongst in Mecca Who were they?
The machinery,
the machinery of maca?
What Where did the machine spoon of Makkah worship at?
What was the direction of their worship? the Kaaba. The Kaaba was their direction of worship wrongly. But that's where they worshiped, and that was the direction and the focus of their worship was the GABA.
So while the Muslims were in Mecca, Allah commanded them to pray towards Badenoch, this so that word so that they would be different, unique, at least in their worship, they would have a unique spiritual identity.
When they come to Medina to not rock the boat initially, they're also praying towards beta Muftis establishing general ties with the Jewish community. So they have some common ground to build off of. But once the Muslim community has been established in Medina, then now who are their non Muslim neighbors in Medina, the Jews, they prayed towards me to knock this now a lot turns their direction of prayer towards towards the carbon Mecca. To differentiate.
From this week, take a lesson I will surely Yun shaohua de la Mahadeva de la vi, he talks about this as a philosopher and as a scholar of Africa. He actually talks about this, that from this one, the things that we learn is that the unique spiritual identity of the Muslims is very necessary.
There are a lot of things where we join hands and we work with and we have common causes and common platforms and common ground with non Muslim communities that we co exist with. But we need to have a unique spiritual identity.
And the thing that gives us our unique spiritual identity is our Salah
is our Salah.
When we go outside, you're driving and all of a sudden it's time for Salah we're the ones who stopped by the side of the road and pray.
When you're at the mall or the shopping center, you were the ones who pull off to a corner and pray
when we're traveling or you're you know, we're the ones
To go and find the chapel or find a corner in the airport and pray,
unique spiritual identity. It's a very powerful thing. The second lesson that we take from this
it's very profound and very important, very necessary for us is that, politically speaking, it was a very powerful statement.
So now, two years after there's been some level of confrontation between the Mexicans, and Muslims, the Croatian the Muslims, there's been some confrontation, not out fighting in warrior, there's been no battle.
But there's been some engagement, some confrontation, some back and forth.
The Muslims turned their direction of prayer towards Mecca and start praying towards Mecca.
Think about the message that that sent
the message that we're sending to the people in Makkah, that this GABA is so sacred to these Muslims, that they pray in this direction.
How long before they come to claim it?
How long before they come to claim it? That's why the scholars of Sierra and the scholars of seed they basically say that this was actually the first ishara
this was the first divine shout out this was the first divine gesture,
and foretelling of Fatimah photomicrograph, the conquest of Mecca,
that all Muslims, this place is so sacred, that you've been told to pray it, you're going to go reclaim it sooner or later.
And similarly, may Allah subhanaw taala allow the oma to also reclaim bait and muck this in Sharla. Right. And so this is basically another profound lesson that we take from this that we look at blind the turning of the Qibla and I'll finally end with a Hadith of the prophets a lot ism that's mentioned by Mr. Mohammed in his Muslim. It's an authentic narration narrated by IE Chateau de Allahu taala
Kala Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Yan et Al Kitab. The prophets Allah says about the unknown Kitab in the homeland in the womb. lamassu Duna Allah Shang in komatsuna, that they do not envy us for anything as much as they envious for the following three things.
They are number one, I like to miss Giamatti. On the day of Friday I let the Haida hidin Allahu Allah Ha, ha. That's July something Allah gave us with him gift to them. Number two, I live in LA he had Allah Allah Allah, Allah Allah, that Allah that Allah gave us the Kaaba that he did not give them. What Allah Polina helfen Imam amin and how we say amin when we pray behind the Imam, that is a gift that Allah gave us an Adam
All right, Allah has finished enough BJ Sheeran we'll leave that for another day inshallah. All right. So inshallah that's basically the conclusion for today's session. So we talked about that, a little cable and all the profound lessons from it. inshallah, you know, at least for the attendees that are here, anybody who's watching online, and maybe anybody who's listening in Sharla, later on, we're about to pray so often a shout out. When we stand up to pray some often a shower, you stand up to pray your seminar, whatever it may be. Thank Allah subhanaw taala for this gift of granting this disability, this gift, this honor, this distinction and this unique spiritual identity that we pray
we offer Salah towards the Kaaba, the beta law, the answer of the door of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam May Allah subhanaw taala grant us the ability to practice everything that was said and heard Subhana Allah He will be humble he subhanak alone will be Hambrick, knows how to Allah Allah Allah enter the Masako Wenatchee Lake
